1Genetic analysis and gene mapping of a narrow leaf mutant in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘A narrow leaf mutant was obtained after T-DNA transformation conducted on a rice variety Zhonghua 11. Several abnormal morphological characteristics, including semi-dwarf, delayed flowering time, narrow and inward rolling leaves, and lower seed-setting, were observed. The rate of net photosynthesis (un-der saturate light) of flag leaves in the mutant was significantly lower than that of the wild type. More-over, the leaf transpiration rate and stomatal conductance in the mutant flag leaf were lower than those of the wild type at the grain filling stage. It was found that the mutant phenotype was not caused by the T-DNA insertion. Genetic analysis showed that the mutant was controlled by a single recessive gene, designated as nal3(t). A genetic linkage map was constructed using a large F2 mapping population de-rived from a cross between nal3(t) and an indica variety Longtefu B with 6 polymorphic markers on chromosome 12 identified from 366 SSR markers by the BAS method. Gene nal3(t) was mapped be-tween the markers RM7018 and RM3331. Fine mapping of nal3(t) locus was conducted with 22 newly developed STS markers based on the sequence diversity around the region harboring nal3(t) between Nipponbare and 93-11, and nal3(t) was finally mapped to a 136-kb region between the STS markers NS10 and RH12-8.WANG DeKai LIU HeQin LI KeLei LI SuJuan TAO YueZhi 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,5:19

5Characterization and molecular cloning of a serine hydroxymethyltransferase 1(OsSHM_1) in rice显示文摘Serine hydroxymethyltransferase(SHMT) is important for one carbon metabolism and photorespiration in higher plants for its participation in plant growth and development,and resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. A rice serine hydroxymethyltransferase gene, Os SHM1, an ortholog of Arabidopsis SHM1, was isolated using map-based cloning. The osshm1 mutant had chlorotic lesions and a considerably smaller,lethal phenotype under natural ambient CO2 concentrations,but could be restored to wild type with normal growth under elevated CO2levels(0.5% CO2), showing a typical photorespiratory phenotype. The data from antioxidant enzymes activity measurement suggested that osshm1 was subjected to signi fi cant oxidative stress. Also, Os SHM1 was expressed in allorgans tested(root, culm, leaf, and young panicle) but predominantly in leaves. Os SHM1 protein is localized to the mitochondria. 6EEG-correlated fMRI of P3b component in P300 waves显示文摘Electroencephalography-correlated functional magnetic resonance imaging (EEG/fMRI) can be used to identify blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) signal changes associated with both physiological and pathological EEG events. Here, we implemented continuous and simulta-neous EEG/fMRI to identify BOLD signal changes related to P3b component of P300, and 64 channels of EEG were re-corded in 11 subjects during Landot Ring task inside a 1.5 T functional magnet resonance (MR) scanner using an MR-compatible EEG recording system. Functional scanning by echoplanar imaging covered almost the entire cerebrum every 2 s, leaving gaps of 2 s without scanning. Off-line MRI artifact subtraction software was applied to obtain continu-ous EEG data. Additionally, a P300 wave matched filter was constructed to inspect P300 wave occurrence following every target stimulus, target stimuli inspected to induce P300 were detected and their MRI scan number were then used as input for an event-related fMRI analysis. Finally MRI statistical parametric maps were constructed and corrected for multi-ple comparisons. By random effect group analysis, activa-tions were detected in the right superior parietal lobule and bilaterally in inferior parietal lobule(p<0.001, uncorrected). 8黑蒜提取液对恶性黑色素瘤B16细胞中Akt和PTEN表达的影响及意义(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect on Akt and PTEN expression and the mechanism of proliferation and apoptosis of melanoma B16 cells treated with chamaejasme extract. Methods: The expressions of Akt and PTEN of B16 cells treated with different concentrations of chamaejasme extract were detected with immunohistochemical method, cell apoptosis index(AI) was calculated with in situ labeling method. Results: Akt expressions of B16 cells treated with different concentrations of chamaejasme extract were significantly lower than the control group, while the PTEN expressions significantly up-regulated, and the effects appeared to be dose-related(P < 0.05). The Akt/AI of B16 cells treated with different concentrations of chamaejasme extract was significantly lower than the control group, all the parameters had extremely difference(F = 24.58, P < 0.05). 10A Chan–Vese Model Based on the Markov Chain for Unsupervised Medical Image Segmentation显示文摘The accurate segmentation of medical images is crucial to medical care and research;however, many efficient supervised image segmentation methods require sufficient pixel level labels. Such requirement is difficult to meet in practice and even impossible in some cases, e.g., rare Pathoma images. Inspired by traditional unsupervised methods, we propose a novel Chan–Vese model based on the Markov chain for unsupervised medical image segmentation. It combines local information brought by superpixels with the global difference between the target tissue and the background. Based on the Chan–Vese model, we utilize weight maps generated by the Markov chain to model and solve the segmentation problem iteratively using the min-cut algorithm at the superpixel level.Our method exploits abundant boundary and local region information in segmentation and thus can handle images with intensity inhomogeneity and object sparsity. In our method, users gain the power of fine-tuning parameters to achieve satisfactory results for each segmentation. By contrast, the result from deep learning based methods is rigid.The performance of our method is assessed by using four Computerized Tomography(CT) datasets. 11fMRI-constrained source analysis of visual P300 in Landolt ring task显示文摘An fMRI-constrained source analysis was applied to investigate visual P300 in the Landolt ring task. To study the localization and relative activation timing of P300 generators, we implemented simultaneous EEG/fMRI to identify BOLD signal changes and record 64-channel EEG in 10 subjects during a Landolt ring task inside a 1.5-T fMRI scanner using an MR-compatible EEG recording system. MRI artifact sub-traction software was applied to obtain continuous EEG data. Then, the simultaneous collecting of EEG and fMRI was validated in preserving relevant ERPs. The fMRI-constrained source analysis resulted in an 8-dipole solution. The bilateral middle frontal and the right inferior parietal dipole waveforms showed a short latency peak corresponding to the early P300 activity, while the four parietal and the anterior cingulate dipole waveforms showed a long latency peak corresponding to the late P300 activity. The longest latency peak of the anterior cingulate dipole agrees with its role in initiation of motor re-sponse after successful target recognition. 12Self-supervised deep-learning two-photon microscopy显示文摘Artificial neural networks have shown great proficiency in transforming low-resolution microscopic images into high-resolution images.However,training data remains a challenge,as large-scale open-source databases of microscopic images are rare,particularly 3D data.Moreover,the long training times and the need for expensive computational resources have become a burden to the research community.We introduced a deep-learning-based self-supervised volumetric imaging approach,which we termed“Self-Vision.”The self-supervised approach requires no training data,apart from the input image itself.The lightweight network takes just minutes to train and has demonstrated resolution-enhancing power on par with or better than that of a number of recent microscopybased models.Moreover,the high throughput power of the network enables large image inference with less postprocessing,facilitating a large field-of-view(2.45 mm×2.45 mm)using a home-built two-photon microscopy system.Self-Vision can recover images from fourfold undersampled inputs in the lateral and axial dimensions,dramatically reducing the acquisition time.Self-Vision facilitates the use of a deep neural network for 3D microscopy imaging,easing the demanding process of image acquisition and network training for current resolutionenhancing networks.YUEZHI HE JING YAO LINA LIU YUFENG GAO JIA YU SHIWEI YE HUI LI WEI ZHENG 2023Photonics Research2023,11,1:0
13Drivers’ EEG Responses to Different Distraction Tasks显示文摘Driver distraction has been deemed a major cause of traffic accidents.However,drivers’brain response activities to different distraction types have not been well investigated.The purpose of this study is to investigate the response of electroencephalography(EEG)activities to different distraction tasks.In the conducted simulation tests,three secondary tasks(i.e.,a clock task,a 2-back task,and a navigation task)are designed to induce different types of driver distractions.Twenty-four participants are recruited for the designed tests,and differences in drivers’brain response activities concerning distraction types are investigated.The results show that the differences in comprehensive distraction are more significant than that in single cognitive distraction.Friedman test and post hoc two-tailed Nemenyi test are conducted to further identify the differences in band activities among brain regions.The results show that the theta energy in the frontal lobe is significantly higher than that in other brain regions in distracted driving,whereas the alpha energy in the temporal lobe significantly decreases compared to other brain regions.These results provide theoretical references for the development of distraction detection systems based on EEG signals.Guofa Li Xiaojian Wu Arno Eichberger Paul Green Cristina Olaverri‑Monreal Weiquan Yan Yechen Qin Yuezhi Li 2023Automotive Innovation2023,6,1:0
