1Nitrification performance of nitrifying bacteria immobilized in waterborne polyurethane at low ammonia nitrogen concentrations显示文摘Suspended and waterborne polyurethane immobilized nitrifying bacteria have been adopted for evaluating the effects of environmental changes,such as temperature,dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration and pH,on nitrification characteristics under conditions of low ammonia concentrations.The results showed that nitrification was prone to complete with increasing pH,DO and temperature.Sensitivity analysis demonstrated the effects of temperature and pH on nitrification feature of suspended bacteria were slightly greater than those of immobilized nitrifying bacteria.Immobilized cells could achieve complete nitrification at low ammonia concentrations when DO was sufficient.Continuous experiments were carried out to discuss the removal of ammonia nitrogen from synthetic micropollute source water with the ammonia concentration of about 1 mg/L using immobilized nitrifying bacteria pellets in an up-flow inner circulation reactor under different hydraulic retention times (HRT).The continuous removal rate remains above 80% even under HRT 30 min.The results verified that the waterborne polyurethane immobilized nitrifying bacteria pellets had great potential applications for micro-pollution source water treatment.Yamei Dong Zhenjia Zhang Yongwei Jin Zhirong Li Jian Lu 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,3:32
2Startup and operation of anaerobic EGSB reactor treating palm oil mill effluent显示文摘A bench-scale expanded granular sludge bed (EGSB) reactor was applied to the treatment of palm oil mill effuent (POME). The reactor had been operated continuously at 35°C for 514 d, with organic loading rate (OLR) increased from 1.45 to 17.5 kg COD/(m3·d). The results showed that the EGSB reactor had good performance in terms of COD removal on the one hand, high COD removal of 91% was obtained at two days’ of hydraulic retention time (HRT), and the highest OLR of 17.5 kg COD/(m3·d). On the other hand, only 46% COD in raw POME was transformed into biogas in which the methane content was about 70% (V/V). A 30-d intermittent experiment indicated that the maximum transformation potential of organic matter in raw POME into methane was 56%. Volatile fatty acid (VFA) accumulation was observed in the later operation stage, and this was settled by supplementing trace metal elements. On the whole, the system exhibited good stability in terms of acidity and alkalinity. 3Nitrification characteristics of nitrobacteria immobilized in waterborne polyurethane in wastewater of corn-based ethanol fuel production显示文摘A technology to achieve stable and high ammonia nitrogen removal rates for corn distillery wastewater (ethanol fuel production) treatment has been designed.The characteristics of nitrifying bacteria entrapped in a waterborne polyurethane (WPU) gel carrier were evaluated after acclimation.In the acclimation period,nitrification rates of WPU-immobilized nitrobacteria were monitored and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was also carried out to investigate the change in ammonium-oxidizing bacteria.The results showed that the pellet nitrification rates increased from 21 to 228 mg-N/(L-pellet·hr) and the quantity of the ammonia oxidation bacteria increased substantially during the acclimation.A continuous ammonia removal experiment with the anaerobic pond effluent of a distillery wastewater system was conducted with immobilized nitrifying bacteria for 30 days using an 80 L airlift reactor with pellets at a fill ratio of 15% (V/V).Under the conditions of 75 mg/L influent ammonia,hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 3.7-5.6 hr,and dissolved oxygen (DO) of 4 mg/L,the effluent ammonia concentration was lower than 10 mg/L and the ammonia removal efficiency was 90%.While the highest ammonia removal rate,162 mg-N/(L-pellet·hr),was observed when the HRT was 1.3 hr.Yamei Dong Zhenjia Zhang Yongwei Jin Jian Lut Xuehang Cheng Jun Li Yan-yan Deng Ya-nan Feng Dongning Chen 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,6:14
4Characteristics of pellets with immobilized activated sludge and its performance in increasing nitrification in sequencing batch reactors at low temperatures显示文摘Immobilized pellets obtained by means of entrapping activated sludge in waterborne polyurethane were successfully adapted in ammonium(NH_4^+–N)synthetic wastewater.Its physicochemical characteristics were determined using scanning electron microscope,pyrosequencing,and microelectrodes,and its influence on the nitrification process in sequencing batch reactors(SBRs)at low temperatures was evaluated.A large number of rod-shaped bacteria were observed on the surface of the immobilized pellet,in which Rudaea spp.(Xanthomonadaceae family)was an important bacterial component(23.44% of the total bacteria).The oxygen uptake rate of immobilized pellets reached 240.83±15.59 mg O_2/(L·hr),and the oxygen was primarily consumed by the bacteria on the pellet surfaces(0–600μm).The dosing of the pellets(30 m L/L)into an SBR significantly improved the nitrification efficiency at low temperatures of 7–11°C,achieving an average NH_4^+–N removal of 84.09%,which is higher than the removal of 67.46% observed for the control group.Wenjie Dong Guang Lu Li Yan Zhenjia Zhang Yalei Zhang 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,4:8
5An advanced anaerobic biofilter with effluent recirculation for phenol removal and methane production in treatment of coal gasification wastewater显示文摘An advanced anaerobic biofilter(AF) was introduced for the treatment of coal gasification wastewater(CGW),and effluent recirculation was adopted to enhance phenol removal and methane production.The results indicated that AF was reliable in treating diluted CGW,while its efficiency and stability were seriously reduced when directly treating raw CGW.However,its performance could be greatly enhanced by effluent recirculation.Under optimal effluent recirculation of 0.5 to the influent,concentrations of chemical oxygen demand(COD) and total phenol in the effluent could reach as low as 234.0 and 14.2 mg/L,respectively.Also,the rate of methane production reached 169.0 m L CH_4/L/day.Though CGW seemed to restrain the growth of anaerobic microorganisms,especially methanogens,the inhibition was temporary and reversible,and anaerobic bacteria presented strong tolerance.The activities of methanogens cultivated in CGW could quickly recover on feeding with glucose wastewater(GW).However,the adaptability of anaerobic bacteria to the CGW was very poor and the activity of methanogens could not be improved by long-term domestication.By analysis using the Haldane model,it was further confirmed that high effluent recirculation could result in high activity for hydrolytic bacteria and substrate affinity for toxic matters,but only suitable effluent recirculation could result in high methanogenic activity.Yajie Li Salma Tabassum Zhenjia Zhang 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,9:7
6Inhibitory effect of high phenol concentration in treating coal gasification wastewater in anaerobic biofilter显示文摘In this paper, the inhibition of methanogens by phenol in coal gasification wastewater(CGW)was investigated by both anaerobic toxicity tests and a lab-scale anaerobic biofilter reactor(AF). The anaerobic toxicity tests indicated that keeping the phenol concentration in the influent under 280 mg/L could maintain the methanogenic activity. In the AF treating CGW,the result showed that adding glucose solution as co-substrate could be beneficial for the quick start-up of the reactor. The effluent chemical oxygen demand(COD) and total phenol reached1200 and 100 mg/L, respectively, and the methane production rate was 175 m L CH4/g COD/day.However, if the concentration of phenol was increased, the inhibition of anaerobic micro-organisms was irreversible. The threshold of total phenol for AF operation was 200–250 mg/L. The extracellular polymeric substances(EPS) and particle size distribution of anaerobic granular sludge in the different stages were also examined, and the results indicated that the influence of toxicity in the system was more serious than its effect on flocculation of EPS. Moreover, the proportion of small size anaerobic granular sludge gradually increased from10.2% to 34.6%. 7A new sorbent that simultaneously sequesters multiple classes ofpollutants from water: Surfactant modified zeolite显示文摘A zeolite (ZFA) was synthesized from coal fly ash and then modified using hexadecyltrimethylammonium. The surfactant modified ZFA (SMZFA) was evaluated for its versatility to sequester multiple classes of pollutants from water. The target pollutants include ionic inorganic pollutants (ammonium and phosphate), ionic organic pollutants (methylene blue and humic acid), ionizable organic pollutants (bisphenol A,-chlorophenol and phenol, with different pKa), and electrically neutral or-ganic pollutants (aniline, nitrobenzene, and naphthalene, with different hydrophobicity). The SMZFA showed high potential for the retention of ammonium and phosphate, being comparable with ZFA. While the negative charge in the internal pores of zeolite was responsible for the retention of ammonium, the oxides of CaO, Al2O3and Fe2O3in the non-zeolite fraction, which originated from coal fly ash but received modification during zeolite synthesis, accounted for the removal of phosphate. Results also showed that while ZFA had little affinity for humic acid, the ionizable, and the electrically neutral organic compounds, SMZFA exhibited greatly enhanced adsorption capacity. Thus, the surfactant modified external surface, which formed a bilayer micelle of zeolite, imparts a hydrophobic characteristic that enables the uptake of the organic pollutants. 8Bi-level optimization based two-stage market clearing model considering guaranteed accommodation of renewable energy generation显示文摘The existing electricity market mechanisms designed to promote the consumption of renewable energy generation complicate network participation in market transactions owing to an unfair market competition environment,where the low cost renewable energy generation is not reflected in the high bidding price of high cost conventional energy generation.This study addresses this issue by proposing a bi-level optimization based two-stage market clearing model that considers the bidding strategies of market players,and guarantees the accommodation of renewable energy generation.The first stage implements a dual-market clearing mechanism that includes a unified market for trading the power generations of both renewable energy and conventional energy units,and a subsidy market reserved exclusively for conventional generation units.A re-adjustment clearing mechanism is then proposed in the second stage to accommodate the power generation of remaining renewable energy units after first stage energy allocations.Each stage of the proposed model is further described as a bi-level market equilibrium problem and is solved using a co-evolutionary algorithm.Finally,numerical results involving an improved IEEE 39-bus system dem-onstrate that the proposed two-stage model meets the basic requirements of incentive compatibility and individual rationality.It can facilitate the rational allocation of resources,promote the economical operation of electric power grids,and enhance social welfare.Qianya He Zhenjia Lin Haoyong Chen Xinyun Dai Yirui Li Xin Zeng 2022Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems2022,7,1:2

10CUTTING TEMPERATURE OF TEMPERING BEARING STEEL GCr15 CUT BY PCBN CUTTER显示文摘A thermoelectric curve of GCr15 BN500 is acquired by rapid label way. The study on measuring the cutting temperature with PCBN cutter is done and the calculation formula is achieved. A series of experiments about cutting temperature are made for different hardness tempering bearing steel at the same time. The rule that cutting temperature increases with increasing of the cutting speed, feed, back engagement of the cutting edge is gained. 11Enhancing stability by tuning element ratio in 2D transition metal chalcogenides显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)transition metal chalcogenides(TMCs)are known to be susceptible to the atmosphere,which greatly obscures the intrinsic physical and chemical properties.The quantitative origin of the instability on the atomic scale has not been well investigated due to the lack of environmentally stable TMCs sample.Here,we find the stability of the grown TMCs is strongly relevant to their initial element ratios,and thus the stoichiometric bonded TMCs have favorable stability,benefitted from the TMCs with controllable chalcogenisation.In this study,the degree of structural degradation has been quantitatively defined by the reduced element ratio of chalcogen to metal through the time-dependent characterizations,and the non-stoichiometric ratios in TMCs reveal the atomic lattices with point defects like additive bonds or vacancies inside.This study not only provides a potential view to fabricate environmentally stable TMCs based devices,but also will bring an effective feasibility of stacking stable vertical heterostructures.Zhenjia Zhou Tao Xu Chenxi Zhang Shisheng Li Jie Xu Litao Sun Libo Gao 2021Nano Research2021,14,6:2

14A Mixed-integer SDP Solution to Distributionally Robust Unit Commitment with Second Order Moment Constraints显示文摘A power system unit commitment(UC)problem considering uncertainties of renewable energy sources is investigated in this paper,through a distributionally robust optimization approach.We assume that the first and second order moments of stochastic parameters can be inferred from historical data,and then employed to model the set of probability distributions.The resulting problem is a two-stage distributionally robust unit commitment with second order moment constraints,and it can be recast as a mixed-integer semidefinite programming(MI-SDP)with finite constraints.The solution algorithm of the problem comprises solving a series of relaxed MI-SDPs and a subroutine of feasibility checking and vertex generation.Based on the verification of strong duality of the semidefinite programming(SDP)problems,we propose a cutting plane algorithm for solving the MI-SDPs;we also introduce an SDP relaxation for the feasibility checking problem,which is an intractable biconvex optimization.Experimental results on the IEEE 6-bus system are presented,showing that without any tuning of parameters,the real-time operation cost of distributionally robust UC method outperforms those of deterministic UC and two-stage robust UC methods in general,and our method also enjoys higher reliability of dispatch operation.Xiaodong Zheng Haoyong Chen Yan Xu Zhengmao Li Zhenjia Lin Zipeng Liang 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,2:1
