1Grey matter volume abnormalities in patients with bipolar I depressive disorder and unipolar depressive disorder:a voxelbased morphometry study显示文摘Bipolar disorder and unipolar depressive disorder(UD) may be different in brain structure. In the present study,we performed voxel-based morphometry(VBM) to quantify the grey matter volumes in 23 patients with bipolar I depressive disorder(BP1) and 23 patients with UD,and 23 age-,gender-,and educationmatched healthy controls(HCs) using magnetic resonance imaging. We found that compared with the HC and UD groups,the BP1 group showed reduced grey matter volumes in the right inferior frontal gyrus and middle cingulate gyrus,while the UD group showed reduced volume in the right inferior frontal gyrus compared to HCs. In addition,correlation analyses revealed that the grey matter volumes of these regions were negatively correlated with the Hamilton depression rating scores. 2Defining a critical period in calvarial development for Hedgehog pathway antagonist-induced frontal bone dysplasia in mice显示文摘The Hedgehog(Hh) signalling pathway is essential for cellular proliferation and differentiation during embryonic development.Gain and loss of function of Hh signalling are known to result in an array of craniofacial malformations. To determine the critical period for Hh pathway antagonist-induced frontal bone hypoplasia, we examined patterns of dysmorphology caused by Hh signalling inhibition. Pregnant mice received a single oral administration of Hh signalling inhibitor GDC-0449 at 100 or 150 mg·kg^(-1) body weight at preselected time points between embryonic days(E)8.5 and 12.5. The optimal teratogenic concentration of GDC-0449 was determined to be 150 mg·kg^(-1). Exposure between E9.5 and E10.5 induced frontal bone dysplasia, micrognathia and limb defects, with administration at E10.5 producing the most pronounced effects. This model showed decreased ossification of the frontal bone with downregulation of Hh signalling. The osteoid thickness of the frontal bone was significantly reduced. 3Slack-Nibbling Battery-Aware Task Scheduling显示文摘Dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) is an efficient ap- proach to maximize the battery life of portable devices. A novel overall planning strategy (OPSⅡ) balancing slack supply and demand for DVS is proposed. An OPS Ⅱ-based slack-nibbling overall planning strategy (SNOPS) algorithm is also proposed, which iteratively nibbles slacks for appropriate tasks selected by an overall planning dynamic priority function to perform DVS until the slack is exhausted and an optimum voltage setting is ob- tained. For a high-load task set, SNOPS manages to recover bat- tery overload while maintaining schedulability. For random vari- able-load task sets, SNOPS achieves a saving of 29.51% battery capacity on average, the suboptimal gap is 27.84% narrower than that of our previously proposed OPS-based algorithm, and 92.10% narrower than that of the algorithm proposed by Chowdhury et al. 4A Compound Prescheduling Algorithm for Real-Time Tasks’ Battery-Aware Scheduling显示文摘To minimize battery consumption for portable devices, the prescheduling policy of battery-aware scheduling was im- proved by optimizing slack distribution. A battery-aware com- pound task scheduling (BACTS) algorithm considering various aspects including task deadline, current and execution time was proposed and evaluated with the previously prevailing earliest deadline first (EDF) algorithm. The results indicate the proposed BACTS algorithm manages to figure out a feasible schedule (if available) in battery-aware task scheduling even for disorganized connected task graphs beyond the solving ability of EDF.
