1U-Pb Zircon Geochronology and Geochemistry of Granitoids in the Douling Group in the Eastern Qinling显示文摘LA-ICPMS U-Pb zircon dating of the Sanpinggou, Gangou and Fengzishan granitoids in the Douling Group of the Eastern Qinling yields ages of 760-685 Ma, which represents a strong tectono-magmatic event in the southern Qinling during the late Neoproterozoic. Geochemical data show that these intrusions have wide compositions ranging from minor gabbros through diorites to granodiorites. They are relatively enriched in LILE, poor in HFSE and strongly depleted in Nb and Ta, displaying affinities of I-type granites formed in an active continental margin with oceanic subduction. In contrast to granitoids, gabbros and enclaves in the granitoids have higher REE abundances, relatively flat REE patterns, lower LILE, slightly higher HFSE and more depletion in Nb and Ta. All these suggest that the gabbros were formed by partial melting of the upper mantle above the subduction zone and the granitoids by the partial melting of the lower crust. Combined with regional geological data, the subduction-related granitoids in the Douling Group, together with the Tuwushan A-type granite with an age of 725 Ma and contemporaneous basic dikes in the Wudang Block, provide evidence for local subduction of oceanic basins between different blocks during the rifling in the Southern Qinling in the Neoproterozoic. 2Laboratory testing and molecular analysis of the resistance of wild and cultivated soybeans to cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera(Hübner)显示文摘Identifying a superior soybean variety with high defoliator resistance is important to avoid yield loss. Cotton bollworm(Helicoverpa armigera Hübner) is one of the major defoliators of soybean(Glycine max [L.] Merr.) worldwide. In this study, we evaluated the effect of H. armigera larvae on ED059, a wild soybean(Glycine soja Sieb. et Zucc.), and three cultivated soybean varieties: Tianlong 2, PI 535807, and PI 533604, in choice and no-choice assays. The percentage of ED059 leaflets consumed by H. armigera was lower than that of the three cultivated soybeans. Larvae that fed on ED059 exhibited low weight gain and high mortality rate.Waldbauer nutritional indices suggested that ED059 reduced the growth, consumption, and frass production of H. armigera larvae. Larvae that fed on ED059 showed lower efficiency of conversion of ingested and of digested food than those that fed on Tianlong 2 and PI 533604.However, they showed statistically similar consumption index and approximate digestibility compared with those fed on the three cultivated soybeans. Quantitative real-time PCR analysis revealed that 24 h after insect attack, ED059 had higher transcript levels of Kunitz trypsin inhibitor 3, Cysteine proteinase inhibitor 2, and Nerolidol synthase 1 but a lower transcript level of Pathogenesis-related protein 1 than Tianlong 2. The gene expression results were consistent with the presence of higher levels of jasmonic acid(JA) and transcript levels of the JA biosynthesis enzyme allene oxide cyclase 3 in ED059 than in Tianlong 2. 10Comparative analysis of symbiotic phenotypes of soybean ’’Tianlong 1’’ with two different rhizobia and co-inoculation at different developmental stages显示文摘Symbiotic nitrogen fixation between soybean and rhizobia, which directly catalyze reduction of atmospheric nitrogen into ammonia, has critical importance in agricultural economy and environment. However, soybean symbiotic nitrogen efficiency, which changes with growth stage, largely relies on symbiotic host-specificity and nodule development. In this report, symbiotic phenotypes of soybean ‘Tianlong 1’ with different inoculation (inoculated with Bradyrhizobium japonicum strain 113-2, Sinorhizobium fredii USDA205 and co-inoculated with 113-2 and USDA205) were comparatively studied at different developmental stages. Without additional nitrogen, chlorophyll content, above ground fresh weight,plant height, nodule number and nodule dry weight changed with different rhizobia at various developmental stages. 113-2 had more advantages than USDA205 in promoting plant growth and nodulation. Nodulation morphology of co-inoculation was more similar to 113-2 than USDA205. Competitive nodulation between two rhizobia promoted plant growth, which had significant agricultural application prospect. 11New equation to decipher the relationship between carbon isotopic composition of methane and maturity of gas source rocks显示文摘The identification of the origin and source of natural gas is always a difficult and hot issue.Hereinto,the maturity identification is one of the most important scientific problems.Many empirical equations have been established to decipher the relationship between the maturity of gas source rocks and the carbon isotopic composition of natural gas.However,these equations proposed often fail to identify the maturity of the source rocks correctly,which in turn prevents the identification of genetic types and source rocks of the natural gas because the petroliferous sedimentary basins in China are complex and diverse,with multiple sets of source rocks and different thermal history.In this paper,the oil-associated gas from the Permian lacustrine source rocks and the coal-derived gas from the Jurassic source rocks in Junggar and Turpan-Hami basins have been investigated to decipher the relationship between the maturity(vitrinite reflectance)of gas source rocks and the carbon isotopic composition of methane.The equations established areδ^(13)C_(1)=25lgR_(o)-42.5 for oil-associated gas,andδ^(13)C_(1)=25lgR_(o)-37.5 for coal-derived gas.These new equations are suitable for the maturity identification of source rocks in most petroliferous basins,and favorable for the identification of the genetic type and source of natural gas,which is very important to improve the geological theory of natural gas.Jianping CHEN Xulong WANG Jianfa CHEN Yunyan NI Baoli XIANG Fengrong LIAO Wenjun HE Limiao YAO Erting LI 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,3:1
