| 1 | Late Cenozoic Sedimentary Evolution of Pagri-Duoqing Co graben, Southern End of Yadong-Gulu Rift, Southern Tibet显示文摘The north trending rifts in southern Tibet represent the E-W extension of the plateau and confirming the initial rifting age is key to the study of mechanics of these rifts. Pagri-Duoqing Co graben is located at southern end of Yadong-Gulu rift, where the late Cenozoic sediments is predominately composed of fluvio-lacustrine and moraine. Based on the sedimentary composition and structures, the fluviolacustrine could be divided into three facies, namely, lacustrine, lacustrine fan delta and alluvial fan. The presence of paleo-currents and conglomerate components and the provenance of the strata around the graben indicate that it was Tethys Himalaya and High Himalaya. Electron spin resonance(ESR) dating and paleo-magnetic dating suggest that the age of the strata ranges from ca. 1.2 Ma to ca. 8 Ma. Optically stimulated luminescence(OSL) dating showed that moraine in the graben mainly developed from around181-109 ka(late Middle Pleistocene). Combining previous data about the Late Cenozoic strata in other basins, it is suggested that 8-15 Ma may be the initial rifting time. Together with sediment distribution and drainage system, the sedimentary evolution of Pagri could be divided into four stages. The graben rifted at around 15-8 Ma due to the eastern graben-boundary fault resulting in the appearance of a paleolake.Following by a geologically quiet period about 8-2.5 Ma, the paleolake expanded from east to west at around 8-6 Ma reaching its maximum at ca. 6 Ma. Then, the graben was broken at about 2.5 Ma. At last,the development of the glacier separated the graben into two parts that were Pagri and Duoqing Co since the later stages of the Middle Pleistocene. | 6 | A GaN/InGaN/AlGaN MQW RTD for versatile MVL applications with improved logic stability显示文摘To improve the logic stability of conventional multi-valued logic(MVL) circuits designed with a GaNbased resonate tunneling diode(RTD), we proposed a GaN/InGaN/AlGaN multi-quantum well(MQW) RTD. The proposed RTD was simulated through solving the coupled Schrodinger and Poisson equations in the numerical non-equilibrium Green's function(NEGF) method on the TCAD platform. The proposed RTD was grown layer by layer in epitaxial technologies. Simulated results indicate that its current-voltage characteristic appears to have a wider total negative differential resistance region than those of conventional ones and an obvious hysteresis loop at room temperature. To increase the Al composite of AIGaN barrier layers properly results in increasing of both the total negative differential resistance region width and the hysteresis loop width, which is helpful to improve the logic stability of MVL circuits. | 10 | Paleoearthquake Investigation along the Chenghai Fault Zone since~500 ka,Southeast Margin of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Chenghai fault zone is located in the Sichuan–Yunnan rhombus block,which is surrounded by the Honghe River,Xianshuihe–Xiaojiang,and Jinsha River fault zones.As a mid-continental active fault,it is one of the most important seismogenic fractures in the southeast margin of the Tibetan Plateau.Geological seismic study is an important supplement to the historical seismic record;therefore,identification of paleoearthquake events in this region is of great significance to reveal the pattern and mechanism of earthquake development.In this study,detailed investigation has been carried out on the earthquake traces that formed in the Quaternary sediments in the Jinsha River section of the Chenghai fault zone,and samples for dating chronology testing were also collected.Many paleoearthquake traces were discovered in the field,including earthquake fissions,dammed lake sediments and landslides,earthquake-generated rock falls,seismic faults,and sand liquefaction veins.The collected samples were tested using optically stimulated luminescence,electron-spin resonance,and U-series methods.A total of 68 chronological samples were dated,combined with the results of field investigations,and 10 large paleoearthquake events were discovered in this region since 500 ka,which are at approximately 450,400,345,300,250,190,155,105,75,and 25 ka.Ten tectonic activity periods that produced multiple paleoearthquake events were identified since 500 ka.This study identifies paleoearthquake events in longer scales,larger spaces,and more extensive sediments,which provides new perspectives and new ideas for paleoearthquake research. | YANG Shuaibin QIAO Yansong WU Zhonghai ZHANG Xujiao QI Lin HE Zexin LIANG Ying | 2021 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,4: | 0 |

| 12 | The plasmodesmata-associated β-1,3-glucanase gene GhPdBG regulates fiber development in cotton显示文摘Trichomes are specialized structures that originate from epidermal cells of organs in higher plants.The cotton fiber is a unique single-celled trichome that elongates from the seed coat epidermis.Cotton(Gossypium hirsutum)fibers and trichomes are models for cell differentiation.In an attempt to elucidate the intercellular factors that regulate fiber and trichome cell development,we identified a plasmodesmal β-1,3-glucanase gene(designated GhPdBG)controlling the opening and closing of plasmodesmata in cotton fibers.Structural and evolutionary analysis showed haplotypic variation in the promoter region of the GhPdBG gene among 352 cotton accessions,but high conservation in the coding region.GhPdBG was expressed predominantly in cotton fibers and localized to plasmodesmata(PD).Expression patterns of PdBG that corresponded to PD permeability were apparent during fiber development in G.hirsutum and G.barbadense.The PdBG-mediated opening-closure of PD appears to be involved in fiber development and may account for the contrasting fiber traits of these two species.Ectopic expression of GhPdBG revealed that it functions in regulating fiber and trichome length and/or density by modulating plasmodesmatal permeability.This finding suggests that plasmodesmal targeting of GhPdBG,as a switch of intercellular channels,regulates single-celled fiber and trichome development in cotton. | Yijie Fan Shuangshuang Lin Yanhui Lyu Haihong Shang Youlu Yuan Zhengmin Tang Chengzhi Jiao Aiyun Chen Piyi Xing Li Zhang Yuxiao Sun Haixia Guo Tongtong Li Zhonghai Ren Fanchang Zeng | 2023 | The Crop Journal2023,11,6: | 0 |
| 13 | Irreversible Electroporation for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Abutting the Diaphragm:A Prospective Single-center Study显示文摘Background and Aims:Irreversible electroporation(IRE)is an emerging local ablation therapy which may be effective for unresectable tumors.This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of percutaneous IRE in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)abutting the diaphragm.Methods:A total of 26 participants with 39 tumors abutting the diaphragm were prospectively evaluated between July 2015 and September 2018.Complications associated with IRE were recorded,and the survival benefit of IRE was analyzed.The factors associated with time to local tumor progression(LTP)were analyzed using univariate and multivariate Cox regression models.Results:No major complications or treatmentrelated deaths occurred.The technical success rate was 96.2%(25/26)and complete ablation rate was 92.3%(36/39).The median followup period was 16.7 months(range:3.0-43.0 months),the LTP occurred in 15.2%of tumors and median time to LTP was 20.4 months.Overall,tumor size(hazard ratio:1.24[95%confidence interval:0.38,3.81],p=0.03)was the only factor associated with time to LTP.Conclusions:This study shows for the first time that percutaneous IRE is a safe and effective ablation technology for HCC abutting the diaphragm. | Yangyang Ma Zhixian Chen Bing Liang Rongrong Li Jianyu Li Zhonghai Li Mao Lin Lizhi Niu | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,2: | 0 |

| 15 | Late Mesozoic Exhumation of the Huangling Massif:Constraints on the Evolution of the Middle Yangtze River显示文摘Plate subduction leads to complex exhumation processes on continents.The Huangling Massif lies at the northern margin of the South China Block.Whether the Huangling Massif was exhumed as a watershed of the middle reaches of the Paleo-Yangtze River during the Mesozoic remains under debate.We examined the exhumation history of the Huangling Massif based on six granite bedrock samples,using apatite fission track(AFT)and apatite and zircon(U-Th)/He(AHe and ZHe)thermochronology.These samples yielded ages of 157–132 Ma(ZHe),119–106 Ma(AFT),and 114–72 Ma(AHe),respectively.Thermal modeling revealed that three phases of rapid cooling occurred during the Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous,late Early Cretaceous,and Late Cretaceous.These exhumation processes led to the high topographic relief responsible for the emergence of the Huangling Massif.The integrated of our new data with published sedimentological records suggests that the Huangling Massif might have been the watershed of the middle reaches of the Paleo-Yangtze River since the Cretaceous.At that time,the rivers flowed westward into the Sichuan Basin and eastward into the Jianghan Basin.The subduction of the Pacific Plate beneath the Asian continent in the Mesozoic deeply influenced the geomorphic evolution of the South China Block. | SU Jianchao LIN Xu LI Chang’an Jolivet MARC WU Lin CHENG Feng DENG Bin WU Zhonghai CHEN Xiaokang HU Chengwei | 2024 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2024,98,1: | 0 |
