1Changes in Life Expectancy of Respiratory Diseases from Attaining Daily PM_(2.5) Standard in China: A Nationwide Observational Study显示文摘Although exposure to air pollution increases the risk of premature mortality and years of life lost(YLL),the effects of daily air quality improvement to the life expectancy of respiratory diseases remained unclear.We applied a generalized additive model(GAM)to assess the associations between daily PM_(2.5) exposure and YLL from respiratory diseases in 96 Chinese cities during 2013–2016.We further estimated the avoidable YLL,potential gains in life expectancy,and the attributable fraction by assuming dailyPM_(2.5) concentration decrease to the air quality standards of China and World Health Organization.Regional and national results were generated by random-effects meta-analysis.A total of 861,494 total respiratory diseases and 586,962 chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)caused death from 96 Chinese cities were recorded during study period.Each 10 mg/m3 increase of PM_(2.5) in 3-day moving average(lag02)was associated with 0.16(95%CI:0.08,0.24)years increment in life expectancy from total respiratory diseases.The highest effect was observed in Southwest region with 0.42(95%CI:0.22,0.62)years increase in life expectancy.By attaining the WHO's Air Quality Guidelines,we estimated that an average of 782.09(95%CI:438.29,1125.89)YLLs caused by total respiratory death in each city could be avoided,which corresponded to 1.15%(95%CI:0.67%,1.64%)of the overall YLLs,and 0.12(95%CI:0.07,0.17)years increment in life expectancy.The results of COPD were generally consistent with total respiratory diseases.Our findings indicate that reduction in daily PM_(2.5) concentrations might lead to longer life expectancy from respiratory death.Yin Yang Jinlei Qi Zengliang Ruan Peng Yin Shiyu Zhang Jiangmei Liu Yunning Liu Rui Li Lijun Wang Hualiang Lin 2020The Innovation2020,1,3:3
2Band Engineering and Morphology Control of Oxygen‑Incorporated Graphitic Carbon Nitride Porous Nanosheets for Highly Efficient Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution显示文摘Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)-based photocatalysts have shown great potential in the splitting of water.However,the intrinsic drawbacks of g-C3N4,such as low surface area,poor diffusion,and charge separation efficiency,remain as the bottleneck to achieve highly efficient hydrogen evolution.Here,a hollow oxygen-incorporated g-C3N4 nanosheet(OCN)with an improved surface area of 148.5 m2 g^−1 is fabricated by the multiple thermal treatments under the N2/O2 atmosphere,wherein the C–O bonds are formed through two ways of physical adsorption and doping.The physical characterization and theoretical calculation indicate that the O-adsorption can promote the generation of defects,leading to the formation of hollow morphology,while the O-doping results in reduced band gap of g-C3N4.The optimized OCN shows an excellent photocatalytic hydrogen evolution activity of 3519.6μmol g^−1 h^−1 for~20 h,which is over four times higher than that of g-C3N4(850.1μmol g^−1 h^−1)and outperforms most of the reported g-C3N4 catalysts.Yunyan Wu Pan Xiong Jianchun Wu Zengliang Huang Jingwen Sun Qinqin Liu Xiaonong Cheng Juan Yang Junwu Zhu Yazhou Zhou 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,3:3
3Comparative mitochondrial genome analysis of Varunidae and its phylogenetic implications显示文摘Complete mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)can indicate phylogenetic relationships,as well as useful information for gene rearrangement mechanisms and molecular evolution.Currently,the phylogenetic location of the genus Varuna(Brachyura:Varunidae)has not been well resolved mainly because of limited representatives(only two extant species).Here,we determined a new mitogenome of this genus(Varuna litterata)and added the published mitogenomes to reconstruct the phylogeny of Varunidae.The 16368-bp mitogenome contains the entire set of 37 genes and a putative control region.The characteristics of this newly sequenced mitogenome were described and compared with the other 15 Varunidae mitogenomes.All 16 analyzed mitogenomes have identical gene order and similar molecular features.The sliding window and genetic distance analyses demonstrate highly variable nucleotide diversity,with comparatively low variability of COI and COII,and high variability of ND6.The nonsynonymous/synonymous substitution rates(dN/dS ratio)analysis shows that all 13 PCGs are under purifying selection and ATP8 gene evolves under the least selective pressure.Twelve tRNA genes,two rRNAs,one PCG,and the putative control region are found to be rearranged with respect to the pancrustacean ground pattern gene order.Tandem duplication/random loss model is adopted to explain the large-scale gene rearrangement events occurring in Varunidae mitogenomes.Phylogenetic analyses show that all Varunidae species are placed into one group,and form a sister clade with Macrophthalmidae.Nevertheless,the phylogenetic relationships within Varunidae are not completely consistent based on the two different datasets used in this study.These findings will contribute to a better understanding of gene rearrangement and molecular evolution in Varunidae mitogenomes,as well as provide insights into the phylogenetic studies of Brachyura.Ying Zhang Li Gong Xinting Lu Zengliang Miao Lihua Jiang Bingjian Liu Liqin Liu Pengfei Li Xu Zhang Zhenming Lü 2022Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,6:2
4Study design,general characteristics of participants,and preliminary findings from the metabolome,microbiome,and dietary salt intervention study(MetaSalt)显示文摘Background:High sodium intake is an important risk factor for hypertension and cardiovascular disease.However,the association between gut microbiota composition and metabolomic profiles with dietary sodium intake and blood pressure(BP)is not well-understood.The metabolome,microbiome,and dietary salt intervention(MetaSalt)study aimed to investigate microbial and metabolomic profiles related to dietary sodium intake and BP regulation.Methods:This family-based intervention study was conducted in four communities across three provinces in rural northern China in 2019.Probands with untreated prehypertension or stage-1 hypertension were identified through community-based BP screening,and family members including siblings,offspring,spouses,and parents were subsequently included.All participants participated in a 3-day baseline examination with usual diet consumption,followed by a 10-day low-salt diet(3 g/d of salt or 51.3 mmol/d of sodium)and a 10-day high-salt diet(18 g/d of salt or 307.8 mmol/d of sodium).Differences in mean BP levels were compared according to the intervention phases using a paired Student’s t-test.Results:A total of 528 participants were included in this study,with a mean age of 48.1 years,36.7%of whom were male,76.8%had a middle school(69.7%)or higher(7.1%)diploma,23.4%had a history of smoking,and 24.4%were current drinkers.The mean arterial pressure at baseline was 97.2±10.5 mm Hg for all participants,and significantly decreased during the low-salt intervention(93.8±9.3,P<0.0001)and subsequently increased during the high-salt intervention(96.4±10.0,P<0.0001).Conclusions:Our dietary salt intervention study has successfully recruited participants and will facilitate to evaluate the effects of gut microbiota and metabolites on BP regulation in response to sodium burden,which will provide important evidence for investigating the underlying mechanisms in the development of hypertension and subsequent cardiovascular diseases.Trial registration:The study was registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry database(ChiCTR1900025171).Zengliang Ruan Jianxin Li Fangchao Liu Jie Cao Shufeng Chen Jichun Chen Keyong Huang Yaqin Wang Hongfan Li Yan Wang Zhongyu Xue Laiyuan Wang Jianfeng Huang Dongfeng Gu Xiangfeng Lu 2021Chronic Diseases and Translational Medicine2021,7,4:1

8Quasi-static simulation of droplet morphologies using a smoothed particle hydrodynamics multiphase model显示文摘Numerical simulation of the morphology of a droplet deposited on a solid surface requires an efficient description of the three-phase contact line. In this study, a simple method of implementing the contact angle is proposed, combined with a robust smoothed particle hydrodynamics multiphase algorithm (Zhang 2015). The first step of the method is the creation of the virtual liquid-gas interface across the solid surface by means of dummy particles, thus the calculated surface tension near the triple point serves to automatically modulate the dynarnic contact line towards the equilibrium state. We simulate the evolution process of initially square liquid lumps on fiat and curved surfaces. The predictions of droplet profiles are in good agreement with the analytical solutions provided that the macroscopic contact angle is accurately implemented. Compared to the normal correction method, the present method is straightforward without the need to manually alter the normal vectors. This study presents a robust algorithm capable of capturing the physics of the static welling. 9Complete Mitochondrial Genome of Myra affinis(Decapoda:Brachyura:Leucosiidae)and Its Phylogenetic Implications for Brachyura显示文摘Knowledge of complete mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)can help understand the molecular evolution and phylogenetic relationships of various species.To date,the phylogenetic status of Leucosiidae within Brachyura remains unresolved because of the limited number of mitogenomes available.In the present study,the complete mitogenome of Myra affinis was sequenced using next-generation sequencing to supplement the limited mitogenome information of Leucosiidae.The 15349 bp-long mitogenome includes 13 protein-coding genes(PCGs),22 transfer RNAs(tRNAs),2 ribosomal RNAs(rRNAs),and a putative control region.The overall base composition is 34.5%A,36.1%T,11.5%G,and 17.9%C,with a high AT bias(70.6%).All 13 PCGs start with the standard ATN codon and stop with the TAN codon or incomplete T.Except for tRNA-Ser,all other tRNAs have a typical cloverleaf-like secondary structure.Phylogenetic analyses based on the maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference methods are employed to generate identical phylogenetic topologies,thereby supporting the sister relationship between Leucosiidae and Matutidae for the first time.The monophyly of Eubrachyura is well established,and its sister relationship with Raninoida is strongly supported.The results of this work will not only help achieve a better understanding of the characteristics of the M.affinis mitogenome and the phylogenetic position of Leucosiidae,but also provide relevant information for further studies on the phylogeny of Brachyura.ZHANG Ying MENG Lei MIAO Zengliang WEI Liming LIU Bingjian LIU Liqin GONG Li LÜZhenming 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,4:1
10Gut microbiome,cognitive function and brain structure:a multi-omics integration analysis显示文摘Background:Microbiome-gut-brain axis may be involved in the progression of age-related cognitive impairment and relevant brain structure changes,but evidence from large human cohorts is lacking.This study was aimed to investigate the associations of gut microbiome with cognitive impairment and brain structure based on multi-omics from three independent populations.Methods:We included 1430 participants from the Guangzhou Nutrition and Health Study(GNHS)with both gut microbiome and cognitive assessment data available as a discovery cohort,of whom 272 individuals provided fecal samples twice before cognitive assessment.We selected 208 individuals with baseline microbiome data for brain magnetic resonance imaging during the follow-up visit.Fecal 16S rRNA and shotgun metagenomic sequencing,tar-geted serum metabolomics,and cytokine measurements were performed in the GNHS.The validation analyses were conducted in an Alzheimer’s disease case-control study(replication study 1,n=90)and another community-based cohort(replication study 2,n=1300)with cross-sectional dataset.Results:We found protective associations of specific gut microbial genera(Odoribacter,Butyricimonas,and Bac-teroides)with cognitive impairment in both the discovery cohort and the replication study 1.Result of Bacteroides was further validated in the replication study 2.Odoribacter was positively associated with hippocampal volume(β,0.16;95%CI 0.06-0.26,P=0.002),which might be mediated by acetic acids.Increased intra-individual alterations in gut microbial composition were found in participants with cognitive impairment.We also identified several serum metabolites and inflammation-associated metagenomic species and pathways linked to impaired cognition.Conclusions:Our findings reveal that specific gut microbial features are closely associated with cognitive impair-ment and decreased hippocampal volume,which may play an important role in dementia development.Xinxiu Liang Yuanqing Fu Wen-ting Cao Zhihong Wang Ke Zhang Zengliang Jiang Xiaofang Jia Chun-ying Liu Hong-rou Lin Haili Zhong Zelei Miao Wanglong Gou Menglei Shuai Yujing Huang Shengdi Chen Bing Zhang Yu-ming Chen Ju-Sheng Zheng 2022Translational Neurodegeneration2022,11,1:1
11Component-Based Software Developing Method for Group Companies Management Information System显示文摘Considering the special requirements of group enter- prise information management software, a new method of massive software development was put forward basing on the component technology and facing the 'assemblage'. It generalizes five key parts of the method system including the overall strategy, the ap- plication project method basing on the operation 'assemblage', the field project method basing on component, the development method facing the component on the basis of the visible compo- nent platform, and the software development process model basing on the component 'assemblage'. 13Nano-buffer controlled electron tunneling to regulate heterojunctional interface emission显示文摘Interface emission from heterojunction is a shortcoming for electroluminescent devices.A buffer layer introduced in the heterojunctional interfaces is a potential solution for the challenge.However,the dynamics for carrier tunneling to control the interface emission is still a mystery.Herein,the low-refractive HfO_(2)with a proper energy band configuration is em-ployed as the buffer layer in achieving ZnO-microwire/HfO_(2)/GaN heterojunctional light-emitting diodes(LEDs).The optic-ally pumped lasing threshold and lifetime of the ZnO microwire are reduced with the introduced HfO_(2)layer.As a result,the interface emission is of blue-shift from visible wavelengths to 394 nm whereas the ultraviolet(UV)emission is en-hanced.To regulate the interface recombination between electrons in the conduction band of ZnO and holes in the valence band of GaN,the tunneling electrons with higher conduction band are employed to produce a higher tunneling current through regulation of thin HfO_(2)film causing blue shift and interface emission enhancement.Our results provide a method to control the tunneling electrons in heterojunction for high-performance LEDs.Wei Liu Zhuxin Li Zengliang Shi Ru Wang Yizhi Zhu Chunxiang Xu 2021Opto-Electronic Advances2021,4,9:1
