Hydroelastic interaction between water waves and a thin elastic plate of arbitrary geometry显示文摘An analytical method is developed for the hydroelastic interaction between surface incident waves and a thin elastic plate of arbitrary geometry floating on an inviscid fluid of finite depth in the framework of linear potential flow.Three kinds of edge conditions are considered and the corresponding analytical representations are derived in the polar coordinate system.According to the surface boundary conditions, the fluid domain is divided into two regions, namely,an open water region and a plate-covered region. With the assumption that all the motion is time-harmonic,the series solutions for the spatial velocity potentials are derived by the method of eigenfunction expansion. The matching conditions for the continuities of the velocity and pressure are transformed by taking the inner products successively with respect to the vertical eigenfunction for the free surface and the angular eigenfunction.A system of simultaneous equations, including two edge conditions and two matching conditions,is set up for deriving the expansion coefficients. As an example, numerical computation for the expansion coefficients of truncated series is performed for an elliptic plate. The results show that the method suggested here is useful to revealing the physical features of the gravity wave scattering in the open water and the hydroelastic response in the plate.XU Feng LU DongQiang 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,1:2
Hydroelastic interaction between water waves and thin elastic plate floating on three-layer fluid显示文摘The wave-induced hydroelastic responses of a thin elastic plate floating on a three-layer fluid, under the assumption of linear potential flow, are investigated for two-dimensional cases. The effect of the lateral stretching or compressive stress is taken into account for plates of either semi-infinite or finite length. An explicit expression for the dispersion relation of the flexural-gravity wave in a three-layer fluid is analytically deduced. The equations for the velocity potential and the wave elevations are solved with the method of matched eigenfunction expansions. To simplify the calculation on the unknown expansion coefficients, a new inner product with orthogonality is proposed for the three-layer fluid, in which the vertical eigenfunctions in the open-water region are involved. The accuracy of the numerical results is checked with an energy conservation equation, representing the energy flux relation among three incident wave modes and the elastic plate. The effects of the lateral stresses on the hydroelastic responses are discussed in detail.Qingrui MENG Dongqiang LU 2017Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2017,38,4:2
Analytic approximation to nonlinear hydroelastic waves traveling in a thin elastic plate floating on a fluid显示文摘An analytic approximation method known as the homotopy analysis method(HAM)is applied to study the nonlinear hydroelastic progressive waves traveling in an infinite elastic plate such as an ice sheet or a very large floating structure(VLFS)on the surface of deep water.A convergent analytical series solution for the plate deflection is derived by choosing the optimal convergencecontrol parameter.Based on the analytical solution the efects of diferent parameters are considered. We find that the plate deflection becomes lower with an increasing Young’s modulus of the plate. The displacement tends to be flattened at the crest and be sharpened at the trough as the thickness of the plate increases, and the larger density of the plate also causes analogous results.Furthermore,it is shown that the hydroelastic response of the plate is greatly afected by the high-amplitude incident wave. The results obtained can help enrich our understanding of the nonlinear hydroelastic response of an ice sheet or a VLFS on the water surface.WANG Ping LU DongQiang 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,11:2
Salt-tolerant mechanism of marine Aspergillus niger cellulase cocktail and improvement of its activity显示文摘The cellulase cocktail produced by marine Aspergillus niger exhibits a property of salt-tolerance,which is of great potential in cellulose degradation in high salt environment. In order to explain the mechanism on the salttolerance of the cellulase cocktail produced by marine A.niger, six cellulase components(AnCel6,AnCel7A,AnCel7B,AnEGL,AnBGL1 and AnBGL2)were obtained by directed expression.Studies on their enzymatic properties revealed that oneβ-glucosidase(AnBGL2)and one endoglucanase(AnEGL)exhibited an outstanding salttolerant property, and one cellobiohydrolase(AnCel7B)exhibited a certain salt-tolerant property.Subsequent study revealed that the salt-tolerant An EGL and AnCel7B endowed the cellulase cocktail with stronger salttolerant property, while the salt-tolerant An BGL2 had no positive effect. Moreover, after overexpression of AnCel6,AnCel7A,AnCel7B and AnEGL,the activity of cellulase cocktail increased by 80%,70%,63%and 68%,respectively.However,the activity of cellulase cocktail was not improved after overexpression of AnBGL1 and AnBGL2.After mixed-strain fermentation with cellobiohydrolase recombinants(cel6 a,cel7a and cel7b recombinants)and endoglucanase recombinant(egl recombinant),the the activity of cellulase cocktail increased by 114%,102%and91%,respectively.Linian Cai Shengnan Xu Tao Lu Dongqiang Lin Shanjing Yao 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,4:2

Acute effect of foot strike patterns on in vivo tibiotalar and subtalar joint kinematics during barefoot running显示文摘Background:Foot kinematics, such as excessive eversion and malalignment of the hindfoot, are believed to be associated with running-related injuries. The maj ority of studies to date show that different foot strike patterns influence these specific foot and ankle kinematics. However, technical deficiencies in traditional motion capture approaches limit knowledge of in vivo joint kinematics with respect to rearfoot and forefoot strike patterns(RFS and FFS,respectively). This study uses a high-speed dual fluoroscopic imaging system(DFIS)to determine the effects of different foot strike patterns on 3D in vivo tibiotalar and subtalar joints kinematics. Methods:Fifteen healthy male recreational runners underwent foot computed tomography scanning for the construction of 3-dimensional models.A high-speed DFIS(100 Hz)was used to collect 6 degrees of freedom kinematics for participants’tibiotalar and subtalar joints when they adopted RFS and FFS in barefoot condition. Results:Compared with RFS,FFS exhibited greater internal rotation at 0%-20%of the stance phase in the tibiotalar joint. The peak internal rotation angle of the tibiotalar joint under FFS was greater than under RFS(p<0.001,Cohen’s d=0.92).RFS showed more dorsiflexion at 0%-20%of the stance phase in the tibiotalar joint than FFS.RFS also presented a larger anterior translation(p<0.001,Cohen’s d=1.28)in the subtalar joint at i nitial contact than FFS.Conclusion:Running with acute barefoot FFS increases the internal rotation of the tibiotalar joint in the early stance. The use of high-speed DFIS to quantify the movement of the tibiotalar and subtalar joint was critical to revealing the effects of RF S and FFS during running.Dongqiang Ye Lu Li Shen Zhang Songlin Xiao Xiaole Sun Shaobai Wang Weijie Fu 2024Journal of Sport and Health Science2024,13,1:0
