| 1 | Sequence Stratigraphy of the Jurassic Coal Measures in Northwestern China显示文摘The sequence stratigraphy of the Jurassic coal measures of northwestern China has been studied based on data from outcrop and borehole sections. Because of the geological background and the diversity of basin types, such as isochronisms of coal seams and recognition of key sequence boundaries, it is rare to summarize and correlate sequence structure and framework. The types and recognition characteristics of the sequence boundaries of the Jurassic coal measures are revealed by comparing climatic characteristics, structural styles and the base level cycle. A total of five third-order sequences and 15 systems tracts have been subdivided and the sequence stratigraphic framework has been reconstructed confirming that the thick coals accumulated in the late stage of transgression system tracts of sequence I (SQ I) and sequence III (SQ III). This idea is of important academic significance for instructing coal resources exploration, and enhancing geological effects of prospecting engineering. | 2 | CO_2/N_2 separation using supported ionic liquid membranes with green and cost-effective [Choline][Pro]/PEG200 mixtures显示文摘The high price and toxicity of ionic liquids(ILs) have limited the design and application of supported ionic liquid membranes(SILMs) for CO_2 separation in both academic and industrial fields. In this work, [Choline][Pro]/polyethylene glycol 200(PEG200) mixtures were selected to prepare novel SILMs because of their green and costeffective characterization, and the CO_2/N_2 separation with the prepared SILMs was investigated experimentally at temperatures from 308.15 to 343.15 K. The temperature effect on the permeability, solubility and diffusivity of CO_2 was modeled with the Arrhenius equation. A competitive performance of the prepared SILMs was observed with high CO_2 permeability ranged in 343.3–1798.6 barrer and high CO_2/N_2 selectivity from 7.9 to 34.8.It was also found that the CO_2 permeability increased 3 times by decreasing the viscosity of liquids from 370 to38 m Pa·s. | 3 | Synthesis of low-cost porous ceramic microspheres from waste gangue for dye adsorption显示文摘Low-cost porous ceramic microspheres from waste gangue were prepared by simple spray drying and subsequent calcination. Effects of calcination temperature on phase and microstructure evolution, specific surface area, pore structure, and dye adsorption mechanism of the microspheres were investigated systematically. Results showed that the microspheres were spherical, with some mesopores both on the surface and inside the spheres. The phase kept kaolinite after calcined at 800 and 900 ℃ and transformed into mullite at 1000 ℃. The microspheres calcined at 800 ℃ showed larger adsorption capacity and removal efficiency than those calcined at higher temperatures. Methylene blue(MB) and basic fuchsin(BF) removal efficiency reached 100% and 99.9% with the microsphere dosage of 20 g/L, respectively, which was comparable to that of other low-cost waste adsorbents used to remove dyes in the literature. Adsorption kinetics data followed the pseudosecond-order kinetic model, and the isotherm data fit the Langmuir isotherm model. The adsorption process was attributed to multiple adsorption mechanisms including physical adsorption, hydrogen bonding, and electrostatic interactions between dyes and gangue microspheres. | 4 | Optimal power allocation for secure directional modulation networks with a full-duplex UAV user显示文摘This paper makes an investigation of a secure unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-aided communication network based on directional modulation(DM). In this network, ground base station(GBS) acts as a control center to transmit confidential message and artificial noise(AN). The UAV user, moving along a linear flight trajectory, is intended to receive the useful information from GBS. At the same time, it also sends AN signals to further interference eavesdropper’s channel. Aiming at maximizing secrecy rate during the UAV flight process, a joint optimization problem is formulated with respect to power allocation(PA)factors, beamforming vector and AN projection matrices. For simplicity, maximum rate transmission, nullspace projection and the leakage-based method are applied to form the transmit beamforming vector, AN projection matrix at GBS, and AN projection vector at UAV user, respectively. Following this, the optimization problem reduces to a bivariate optimization programme with two PA factors. An alternating iterative algorithm(AIA) is proposed to optimize the two PA factors. | 5 | Finite sensor selection algorithm in distributed MIMO radar for joint target tracking and detection显示文摘Due to the requirement of anti-interception and the limitation of processing capability of the fusion center, the subarray selection is very important for the distributed multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) radar system, especially in the hostile environment. In such conditions, an efficient subarray selection strategy is proposed for MIMO radar performing tasks of target tracking and detection. The goal of the proposed strategy is to minimize the worst-case predicted posterior Cramer-Rao lower bound(PCRLB) while maximizing the detection probability for a certain region. It is shown that the subarray selection problem is NP-hard, and a modified particle swarm optimization(MPSO) algorithm is developed as the solution strategy. A large number of simulations verify that the MPSO can provide close performance to the exhaustive search(ES) algorithm. | 7 | Method to reconnoiter pulse amplitude train for phased array radar based on Hausdorff distance显示文摘This paper presents a method to estimate beam pointing of phased array radar by the pulse amplitude train, which is significant in radar electronic reconnaissance and electronic support measure. Firstly, the antenna patterns modeling of the phased array system is exploited to build the radar sweeping model and the signal propagation model. Secondly, the relationship between the variation of the radiated power and the antenna beam pointing angles in the given airspace is analyzed. Based on the above two points, the sample with obvious amplitude characteristics of the pulse amplitude train can be screened out after detecting the train peaks. Finally, the sample is matched to the subsequent pulse amplitude train based on the Hausdorff distance. The proposed methods have less prior knowledge and higher efficiency and are easier to process. | 8 | Strain glass transition in high damping Mn-22Cu-5Ni-2Fe alloy显示文摘It has been recognized that the high damping capacity of MnCu based alloys is closely related to the formation of elastic twins as a result of antiferromagnetic transition and martensitic transformation. However, the mechanism for these transitions in this kind of alloy has not been fully understood. For example, previous investigations ascribed the elastic modulus softening prior to martensitic transformation to antiferromagnetic or pre-martensitic transitions, although no convincing evidence was reported. In this paper, an intensive experimental study was made of the modulus softening and microstructural evolution in a typical high damping Mn-22Cu-5Ni-2 Fe alloy, and the evidence of strain glass transition was reported. | 9 | Case study of small scale polytropic index in the central plasma sheet显示文摘This paper studies the effective polytropic index in the central plasma sheet(CPS) by using the method of Kartalev et al.(2006), which adopts the denoising technique of Haar wavelet to identify the homogeneous MHD Bernoulli integral(MBI) and has been frequently used to study the polytropic relation in the solar wind. We chose the quiet CPS crossing by Cluster C1 during the interval 08:51:00–09:19:00 UT on 03 August 2001. In the central plasma sheet, thermal pressure energy per unit mass is the most important part in MBI, and kinetic energy of fluid motion and electromagnetic energy per unit mass are less important. In the MBI, there are many peaks, which correspond to isothermal or near isothermal processes. The interval lengths of homogenous MBI regions are generally less than 1 min. The polytropic indexes are calculated by linearly fitting the data of lnp and lnn within a 16 s window, which is shifted forward by 8 s step length. Those polytropic indexes with |R|≥0.8(R is the correlation coefficient between lnp and lnn) and p-value≤0.1 in the homogeneous regions are almost all in the range of [0, 1]. The mean and median effective polytropic indexes with high R and low p-value in homogeneous regions are 0.34 and 0.32 respectively, which are much different from the polytropic index obtained by traditional method(?trad=?0.15). This result indicates that the CPS is not uniform even during quiet time and the blanket applications of polytropic law to plasma sheet may return misleading value of polytropic index. The polytropic indexes in homogeneous regions with a high correlation coefficient basically have good regression significance and are thus credible. Specifically, the friction coefficients(0.32–0.34) and wear rates [(2–4) × 10^(-5)mm3N^(-1)m^(-1)] are significantly reduced for Ni_3Al at 2–8 N. A possible explanation for the friction and wear reduction is that MoO_3 MLRC as a multilayer material shears easily in the tribo-layer during the sliding contact, and provides low friction. | 19 | Parameterized time-frequency analysis to separate multi-radar signals显示文摘Multi-radar signal separation is a critical process in modern reconnaissance systems. However, the complicated battlefield is typically confronted with increasing electronic equipment and complex radar waveforms. The intercepted signal is difficult to separate with conventional parameters because of severe overlapping in both time and frequency domains. On the contrary, timefrequency analysis maps the 1D signal into a 2D time-frequency plane, which provides a better insight into the signal than traditional methods. Particularly, the parameterized time-frequency analysis(PTFA) shows great potential in processing such nonstationary signals. Five procedures for the PTFA are proposed to separate the overlapped multi-radar signal, including initiation,instantaneous frequency estimation with PTFA, signal demodulation, signal separation with adaptive filter and signal recovery. | 20 | Resolution of a discrepancy of magnetic mechanism for Elinvar anomaly in Fe-Ni based alloys显示文摘Fe-Ni based Elinvar alloys performing temperature-independent elastic modulus over a wide temperature range have found wide and significant applications. Although numerous models involved with magnetism have been proposed to explain the Elinvar anomaly, some of the puzzles concerning the anomaly have not been fully understood. In this work, a remarkable discrepancy between the inflection temperature of modulus and the Curie temperature in a typical Fe-Ni-Cr Elinvar alloy was found,challenging the magnetic mechanism for Elinvar anomaly. Microstructural characterization and dynamic mechanical analysis demonstrate the occurrence of a strain glass transition with continuous formation of nanodomains. Accompanying such a transition, the gradual softening in the elastic modulus of austenite offsets the modulus hardening due to the vibrational anharmonicity of nanodomains upon cooling, leading to the Elinvar effect. As a result, the inflection temperature of modulus corresponds to the initiation of nanodomains' formation instead of magnetic transition.
