1Plant-Derived Enzymes Producing Chiral Aroma Compounds and Potential Application显示文摘Aroma(volatile)compounds play important ecological functions in plants,and also contribute to the quality of plant-derived foods.Moreover,chiral aroma compounds affect their functions in plants and lead to different flavor quality properties.Formations of chiral aroma compounds are due to the presence of enzymes producing these compounds in plants,which are generally involved in the final biosynthetic step of the aroma compounds.Here,we review recent progress in research on the plant-derived enzymes producing chiral aroma compounds,and their changes in response to environmental factors.The chiral aroma enzymes that have been reported produce(R)-linalool,(S)-linalool,(R)-limonene,and(S)-limonene,etc.,and these enzymes are found in various plant species.We also discuss the origins of enantioselectivity in the plant-derived enzymes producing chiral aroma compounds and summarize the potential use of plants containing enzymes producing chiral aroma compounds for producing chiral flavors/fragrances.Fang Dong Qian Fan Xinguo Su Lanting Zeng 2023Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,2:1
2Quantitative determination of metaxalone in human plasma by LC-MS and its application in a pharmacokinetic study显示文摘A simple and rapid method using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry(LC-MS) for the determination of metaxalone in human plasma has been developed and validated.Letrozole was used as the internal standard(IS). The plasma samples were simply treated with acetonitrile which allowed the precipitation of plasma proteins. The chromatographic separation was achieved on a Sapphire C18(2.1 mm × 150 mm, 5 μm, Newark, USA)column using the mobile phase(5 mM ammonium acetate containing 0.01% formic acid:acetonitrile(45:55, v/v)) at a flow rate of 0.3 ml/min. The selected ion monitoring(SIM) in the positive mode was used for the determination of [M + H]+m/z 222.1 and 286.1 for metaxalone and letrozole, respectively. The standard curve obtained was linear(r2≥ 0.99)over the concentration range of 30.24-5040 ng/ml. Meanwhile, no interfering peaks or matrix effect was observed. The method established was simple and successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study of metaxalone in healthy Chinese volunteers after a single oral dose administration of 800 mg metaxalone. The main pharmacokinetic parameters of metaxalone were as follow: Cmax,(1664 ± 1208) ng/ml and(2063 ± 907) ng/ml;AUC0-36,(13925 ± 6590) ng/ml h and(18620 ± 5717) ng/ml h;t1/2,(13.6 ± 7.7) h and(20.3 ± 7.7) h for the reference and test tablets, respectively. 3Critical Operation Strategies Toward High-Performance Lithium Metal Batteries显示文摘Commercial lithium(Li)-ion batteries(LIBs)are approaching their theoretical limits in energy density.As a result,Li metal batteries(LMBs)with either liquid or solid-state electrolytes have been proposed as a next-generation alternative,although they currently pose major safety and stability issues.To resolve these issues,most research has focused on the development and production of novelmaterials and coatings.Although promising performance benchmarks have been achieved,these strategiesmay generate issues for large-scale production,due to the added costs associated with using novel materials and developing the required cell fabrication process and infrastructure.Optimizing external conditions,such as selecting specific cell cycling protocols,testing the cell or synthesizing materials at specific temperatures,testing or fabricating the cell under specific mechanical pressures,etc.,are often overlooked as a means of directly improving battery performance without requiring complex material modifications.In this review,we will discuss how these external parameters can address the key failure mechanisms and challenges in LMBs that use either liquid or solid electrolytes.Similarities and differences in mechanisms(Li+transport,Li dendrite propagation,thermal effects,etc.)observed in liquid and solid-state configurations will also be discussed.Finally,we propose the outstanding scientific and economic gaps in LMBs,thereby providing future directions to explore.Lanting Qian Tyler Or Yun Zheng Matthew Li Dana Karim Andy Cui Moin Ahmed HeyWoong Park Zhen Zhang Yaping Deng Aiping Yu Zhongwei Chen Khalil Amine 2023Renewables2023,1,2:0
