Simulation of the Interaction between Driver and Seat显示文摘Test is one of methods to acquire human-seat pressure distribution in driving, with the deficiency of being uneasy to obtain the stress information of soft tissue inside human body and the sheer force of interface between human and seat, which can be obtained by simulation. But current simulation method focuses mainly on calculation itself other than combining it with posture prediction and cab packaging parameters, which cause it difficult to acquire accurate pressure calculation results without accurate posture of human body, and make it almost meaningless to design optimization. Therefore,a human body geometric model with posture change capability is built and linked up with Cascade Prediction Model(CPM),which takes cab packaging parameters as inputs.A detailed finite element model of driver human body is constructed and used to conduct the driver-seat interaction simulation between human body and seat.Good accordance of pressure distribution is observed between simulation and test, which validates the simulation. In addition to the distribution pattern, curves on key sections are used to analyze the pressure and shear stress on the seat surface,as well as soft tissue stress inside human body. The simulation shows that the maximum stress of buttocks locates under the ischial tuberosity, and the maximum stress of trunk occurs near the scapula posterior and the lower waist. These are the places where fatigue usually occurs. The maximum pressure of seat appears at the driver-seat contact area corresponding to the driver’s maximum skin tissue stress. In order to guide the seat design and cab packaging and study the influence of posture to pressure distribution, finite element models for different levels of cab packaging parameters are created by using CPM.The pressure distributions are calculated and their tendencies varying with cab packaging parameters are obtained. The method presented provides a new way to accurately simulate the interaction between driver human body and seat, and to guide the seat design and cab packaging so as to improve seating comfort.DU Xiaoming REN Jindong SANG Chunlei LI Lemeng 2013Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2013,26,6:14
Role of endoplasmic reticulum stress in the loss of retinal ganglion cells in diabetic retinopathy显示文摘Endoplasmic reticulum stress is closely involved in the early stage of diabetic retinopathy. In the present study,a streptozotocin-induced diabetic animal model was given an intraperitoneal injection of tauroursodeoxycholic acid. Results from immunofluorescent co-localization experiments showed that both caspase-12 protein and c-Jun N-terminal kinase 1 phosphorylation levels significantly increased, which was associated with retinal ganglion cell death in diabetic retinas. The C/ERB homologous protein pathway directly contributed to glial reactivity, and was subsequently responsible for neuronal loss and vascular abnormalities in diabetic retinopathy. Our experimental findings indicate that endoplasmic reticulum stress plays an important role in diabetes-induced retinal neuronal loss and vascular abnormalities, and that inhibiting the activation of the endoplasmic reticulum stress pathway provides effective protection against diabetic retinopathy.Liping Yang Lemeng Wu Dongmei Wang Ying Li Hongliang Dou Mark O.M.Tso Zhizhong Ma 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,33:7
Bioaccumulation and the expression of hepatic cytochrome P450 genes in marine medaka(Oryzias melastigma)exposed to difenoconazole显示文摘This study was conducted to assess the effects of difenoconazole(DFZ), a triazole fungicide,on the hepatic biotransformation system and its bioaccumulation in marine medaka(Oryzias melastigma). Fish were exposed to DFZ(1, 10, 100, 1000 ng/L) for 180 days. The results showed that:(1) The m RNA levels of hepatic CYP1A1, CYP1 B, CYP1C1, CYP27 B and CYP3A40 were up-regulated, but those of CYP3A38 and CYP27A1 were down-regulated.(2) The activity of ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase(EROD) and the content of reduced glutathione(GSH) in the liver were increased in the DFZ-treated groups, and glutathione S-transferase(GST) activity was increased in the 100 and 1000 ng/L groups.(3) DFZ was accumulated in the muscle and the biological concentration factors in the 10, 100, and1000 ng/L groups were respectively 149, 81 and 25. These results suggested that long-term exposure to DFZ at low concentrations would result in a bioaccumulation of this compound and disturb the biotransformation system.Lemeng Zhang Xiaocui Dong Chonggang Wang Zhenghong Zuo Meng Chen 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,2:5
Exposure to difenoconazole inhibits reproductive ability in male marine medaka(Oryzias melastigma)显示文摘Difenoconazole(DFZ) is a triazole fungicide which has been detected in the aquatic environment, including estuaries and embayments. However, few studies addressing the reproductive toxicity and transgenerational effects of DFZ on marine fishes are available. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of DFZ on male marine medaka(Oryzias melastigma). After exposure of the embryo to 1, 10, 100 and 1000 ng/L DFZ for180 days, the gonadosomatic index was significantly decreased in the 1000 ng/L treatment. The number of sperm was reduced while the abundances of spermatocytes and spermatogonia in the testes were increased in all the treatments. The m RNA levels of salmontype gnrh(sgnrh), the luteinizing hormone(lhβ) and the follicle-stimulating hormone(fshβ)genes in the brain all exhibited a significant down-regulation, the expression of androgen receptors(arα and arβ) was decreased and that of estrogen receptor β and cytochrome P450 aromatase(cyp19 B) was increased in the testes. The expression levels of cyp19 A and cyp19 B were increased in the liver. The decrease of ars m RNA levels might be one of the reasons causing the reduction of sperm. The down-regulation of sgnrh, lhβ and fshβ m RNA levels suggested that DFZ might impact the spermatogenesis via the brain–pituitary–gonad pathway. The decrease of the fertilization success, the hatch ability and the swim-up success in the F1 generation indicated that DFZ pollution at environmental levels might cause a decrease of wild fish populations.Xiaocui Dong Lemeng Zhang Meng Chen Zhibin Yang Zhenghong Zuo Chonggang Wang 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,1:3
Phase calibration for integrated optical phased arrays using artificial neural network with resolved phase ambiguity显示文摘Phase calibration for optical phased arrays(OPAs) is a key process to compensate for the phase deviation and retrieve the initial working state. Conventional calibration approaches based on iterative optimization algorithms are tedious and time-consuming. The essential difficulty of such a problem is to inversely solve for the phase error distribution among OPA elements from the far-field pattern of an OPA. Deep-learning-based technology might offer an alternative approach without explicitly knowing the inverse solution. However, we find that the phase ambiguities, including conjugate ambiguity and periodic ambiguity, severely deter the accuracy and efficacy of deep-learning-based calibration. Device-physics-based analysis reveals the causes of the phase ambiguities, which can be resolved by creating a tailored artificial neural network with phase-masked far-field patterns in a conjugate pair and constructing a periodic continuity-preserving loss function. Through the ambiguity-resolved neural network, we can extract phase error distribution in an OPA and calibrate the device in a rapid, noniterative manner from the measured far-field patterns. The proposed approach is experimentally verified. Pure main-beam profiles with >12 dB sidelobe suppression ratios are observed. This approach can help overcome a crucial bottleneck for the further advance of OPAs in a variety of applications such as lidar.Lemeng Leng Zhaobang Zeng Guihan Wu Zhongzhi Lin Xiang Ji Zhiyuan Shi Wei Jiang 2022Photonics Research2022,10,2:3

Experimental and modelling studies of the transient tribological behaviour of a two-phase lubricant under complex loading conditions显示文摘The transient tribological phenomenon and premature lubricant breakdown have been widely observed in metal forming, leading to excessive friction at the contact interfaces. In this research, the transient tribological behaviour of a two-phase lubricant were studied under complex loading conditions, featuring abrupt interfacial temperature, contact load, and sliding speed changes, thus representing the severe interfacial conditions observed in warm/hot metal forming applications. The strong experimental evidence indicates that the evolution of friction was attributed to the physical diminution and chemical decomposition effects. As such,a visco-mechanochemical interactive friction model was developed to accurately predict the transient tribological behaviour of the two-phase lubricant under complex loading conditions. The new friction model exhibited close agreements between the modelling and experimental results.Xiao YANG Lemeng ZHANG Denis J.POLITIS Jie ZHANG Mohammad M.GHARBI David LEYVRAZ Liliang WANG 2022Friction2022,10,6:0
Interactive mechanism and friction modelling of transient tribological phenomena in metal forming processes: A review显示文摘The accurate representation of tribological boundary conditions at the tool–workpiece interface is crucial for analysis and optimization of formability, material flow, and surface quality of components during metal forming processes. It has been found that these tribological conditions vary spatially and historically with process parameters and contact conditions. These time-dependent tribological behaviours are also known as transient tribological phenomena, which are widely observed during forming processes and many other manufacturing application scenarios. However, constant friction values are usually assigned to represent complex and dynamic interfacial conditions, which would introduce deviations in the relevant predictions. In this paper, transient tribological phenomena and the contemporary understanding of the interaction between friction and wear are reviewed, and it has been found that these phenomena are induced by the transitions of friction mechanisms and highly dependent on complex loading conditions at the interface.Friction modelling techniques for transient behaviours for metal forming applications are also reviewed. To accurately describe the evolutionary friction values and corresponding wear during forming, the advanced interactive friction modelling has been established for different application scenarios, including lubricated condition, dry sliding condition(metal-on-metal contact),and coated system.Xiao YANG Heli LIU Lemeng ZHANG Yiran HU Denis J.POLITIS Mohammad M.GHARBI Liliang WANG 2024Friction2024,12,3:0
Laboratory Observations Regarding Different Instars of Cyclosainsulana(Costa, 1834)(Araneidae ) During Developmental Stages显示文摘The current experiment was conducted to find out the optimal conditions for mass rearing and developmental changes of Cyclosainsulana. The lab. conditions were maintained at(27±2)℃ and(65±5)% RH. The clear perplex cages and natural diet consisting of the aphids, larvae of the house fly and larvae of drosophila were used for rearing. C. insulana took(123.12±7.26) days to develop from eggs to adults passing through eight instars under prevailing vivo conditions. The eggs were greenish white in color with average size of 0.57 mm ±0.034. The eggs spent(7.52±1.64) days in emergence. Maximum number of spiderlings survived at the 5th instar(84%) and minimum at the 1st instar(34%). The measurements of different body parts including the total body length, cephalothorax and pedipalps of the both male and female C. insulana were done with the help of micrometer and presented as mean±SD. The measurements varied in the each developing instar. It was concluded that spiders were difficult to rear in the lab. conditions and each developing stage which was regarded as instars showed variations in size colors and body characteristics.Muhammad Saleem Khan Muhammad Saleem Asghar Iram Maqsood Mohsin Bukhari Lemeng Han Tang Li-jie Li Yi-jing Shahla A Khalil U R 2015Journal of Northeast Agricultural University(English Edition)2015,22,2:0
p38 MAPK inhibitor SB202190 suppresses ferroptosis in the glutamate-induced retinal excitotoxicity glaucoma model显示文摘Glutamate excitotoxicity has been shown to play an important role in glaucoma, and glutamate can induce ferroptosis. The p38 mitogenactivated protein kinase(MAPK) pathway inhibitor SB202190 has a potential ability to suppress ferroptosis, and its downstream targets, such as p53, have been shown to be associated with ferroptosis. However, whether ferroptosis also occurs in retinal ganglion cells in response to glutamate excitotoxicity and whether inhibition of ferroptosis reduces the loss of retinal ganglion cells induced by glutamate excitotoxicity remain unclear. This study investigated ferroptosis in a glutamate-induced glaucoma rat model and explored the effects and molecular mechanisms of SB202190 on retinal ganglion cells. A glutamate-induced excitotoxicity model in R28 cells and an N-methyl-D-aspartate-induced glaucoma model in rats were used. In vitro experiments showed that glutamate induced the accumulation of iron and lipid peroxide and morphological changes of mitochondria in R28 cells, and SB202190 inhibited these changes. Glutamate induced the levels of p-p38 MAPK/p38 MAPK and SAT1 and decreased the expression levels of ferritin light chain, SLC7A11, and GPX4. SB202190 inhibited the expression of iron death-related proteins induced by glutamate. In vivo experiments showed that SB202190 attenuated N-methyl-D-aspartate-induced damage to rat retinal ganglion cells and improved visual function. These results suggest that SB202190 can inhibit ferroptosis and protect retinal ganglion cells by regulating ferritin light chain, SAT1, and SLC7A11/Gpx4 pathways and may represent a potential retina protectant.Lemeng Feng Chao Wang Cheng Zhang Wulong Zhang Weiming Zhu Ye He Zhaohua Xia Weitao Song 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,10:0
Retinal ganglion cell death in a DBA/2J mouse model of glaucoma Microglial activation and intraocular pressure显示文摘BACKGROUND:Retinal microglia has been shown to reactivate in a murine model of pigmentary glaucoma. However, the relationship between microglial activation and intraocular pressure(IOP) elevation and retinal ganglion cell(RGC) death is still unclear.OBJECTIVE:To verify that microglial activation and tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α) expression is involved in RGC death with elevated IOP and prolonged time of glaucomatous optic nerve lesion in a DBA/2J mouse model of glaucoma.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:This randomized, controlled, animal experiment was performed at the Peking University Third Hospital,Peking University Eye Center,China between December 2006 and May 2008.MATERIALS:DBA/2J mice and C57BL/6J mice(Jackson Laboratory,USA),rat anti-mouse CD11b monoclonal antibody(Serotec,UK),and goat anti-TNF-α polyclonal antibody(Sigma,USA) were used in this study.METHODS:A total of 100 female,DBA/2J mice at 3,6,9,12,and 14 months of age(20 mice per age group) were used for the glaucoma model, and 18 C57BL/6J mice at 3,9,14 months of age(6 mice per age group) were used as normal controls. The anterior segment of the eye was ob-served using a slit-lamp biomicroscope.IOP was measured using a microneedle system.Morphology and number of retinal microglia were observed using immunohistochemistry.RGCs were quantified using Nissl staining.Co-localization of TNF-α and microglia was observed using double-labeling immunofluorescence.Excavation of the optic nerve head was observed utilizing he-matoxylin-eosin staining.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The following parameters were measured:IOP levels, numbers of RGCs and activated microglia, and TNF-α expression.RESULTS:In 6-month-old DBA/2J mice, dispersed pigment was observed, and some mice devel-oped increased IOP.At 9 months of age,IOP levels reached a peak.In 3-month-old DBA/2J mice, microglia were activated. In 6-month-old DBA/2J mice, the number of activated microglia was significantly increased and migrated to the outer retinal layer. In 9-month-old mice,TNF-α expression was co-localized with microglia.Significant RGC loss occurred in mice aged 9 to 14 months, with the presence of optic nerve fiber loss and optical nerve head excavation.IOP returned to normal levels at 12 months of age,but microglia remained activated, which was consistent with RGC loss.CONCLUSION:Retinal microglial activation was partially attributed to increased IOP.Activated microglia might be mainly responsible for RGC loss.TNF-α expression was evident in the inner retinal layer. However, the relationship between TNF-α and RGC loss remains poorly understood.Liping Yang Xiujuan Guo Lingling Wu Ying Li Lemeng Wu Dongmei Wang Mark O.M.TsoO 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,4:0
Experimental and modelling study of interaction between friction and galling under contact load change conditions显示文摘The galling process remains one of the least understood phenomena in metal forming. The transfer of material from a work-piece onto the tool surface can cause an evolutionary increase in friction coefficient(COF)and thus the use of a constant COF in finite element(FE)simulations leads to progressively inaccurate results. For an aluminium work-piece,material transfer, which has history and pressure dependency,is determined by a dynamic balance between the generation and ejection of wear particles acting as a‘third body’abrasive element at the contact interface. To address this dynamic interactive phenomenon,pin-on-disc tests between AA6082 and G3500 were performed under step load change conditions. The COF evolutions, morphologies of the transfer layer and its cross-section were studied. It has been found that contact load change will disequilibrate and rebuild the dynamic balance and high load will increase the generation and ejection rate of third body and vice versa. Moreover, based on the experimental results,an interactive model was developed and presented to simulate the dynamic formation process of the aluminium third body layer under load change conditions, enabling multi-cycle simulations to model the galling distribution and friction variation.Xiao YANG Yiran HU Lemeng ZHANG Yang ZHENG Denis J.POLITIS Xiaochuan LIU Li-liang WANG 2022Friction2022,10,3:0
