1How to deal with cerebral palsy in 21^(st) century——A new epoch in clinic treatment显示文摘The aims of this paper were to define(1) criteria of cerebral palsy;(2) classification of cerebral palsy;(3) etiology,neuroimaging,and epidemiology of cerebral palsy;(4) different kinds of treatments of cerebral palsy.Data were drawn from an international survey of PUBMED(1994~2014) and CNKI(1994~2014).An expert panel used a consensus building technique.The10-point Jadad scale was used to assess the quality of the trials based on the following items,including allocation sequence generation,randomization concealment,methods of blinding,and descriptions of withdrawals and dropouts.Our clinical experience was also summarized.Below is a summary.(1) Further work is warranted to reach agreement for the classification of cerebral palsy.(2) A worldwide prevalence of 1.5~4.0 per 1 000 live births,with an average lifetime cost of 1 million dollars per person in the United States,while it is 1.8~6.0per 1 000 live births in China.(3) Comparison of clinical efficacy of different treatments.In this review,the current advances in different kind of treatments of brain injury are discussed with specific relevance to cerebral palsy.Chun-yu TIAN Li-ge LENG Zeng-min TIAN 2014中国应用生理学杂志2014,30,6:22
2NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER CHARA-CTERISTICS OUTSIDE A PERIODICALLY VIBRATING TUBE显示文摘Fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics outside a vibrating tube were numerically simulated by the dynamic mesh method. The mechanism of heat transfer enhancement via periodic vibration of the tube was explored by using the field synergy principle. It is found that the field synergy angle between fluid velocity vector and temperature gradient vector for a periodically vibrating tube is significantly smaller than that for a stationary tube, and it changes approximately according to the sinusoidal law in a vibration period. The effect of time phase of the vibration on the field synergy angle and convective heat transfer coefficient were also discussed. Results indicate that the vibration can enhance heat transfer and this effect is more remarkable when time phase angle ranges between 50o and 140o in a half period. 4Three-dimensional-printed individualized porous implants:A new“implant-bone”interface fusion concept for large bone defect treatment显示文摘Bone defect repairs are based on bone graft fusion or replacement.Current large bone defect treatments are inadequate and lack of reliable technology.Therefore,we aimed to investigate a simple technique using three-dimensional(3D)-printed individualized porous implants without any bone grafts,osteoinductive agents,or surface biofunctionalization to treat large bone defects,and systematically study its long-term therapeutic effects and osseointegration characteristics.Twenty-six patients with large bone defects caused by tumor,infection,or trauma received treatment with individualized porous implants;among them,three typical cases underwent a detailed study.Additionally,a large segmental femur defect sheep model was used to study the osseointegration characteristics.Immediate and long-term biomechanical stability was achieved,and the animal study revealed that the bone grew into the pores with gradual remodeling,resulting in a long-term mechanically stable implant-bone complex.Advantages of 3D-printed microporous implants for the repair of bone defects included 1)that the stabilization devices were immediately designed and constructed to achieve early postoperative mobility,and 2)that osseointegration between the host bone and implants was achieved without bone grafting.Our osseointegration method,in which the“implant-bone”interface fusion concept was used instead of“bone-bone”fusion,subverts the traditional idea of osseointegration.Teng Zhang Qingguang Wei Hua Zhou Zehao Jing Xiaoguang Liu Yufeng Zheng Hong Cai Feng Wei Liang Jiang Miao Yu Yan Cheng Daoyang Fan Wenhao Zhou Xinhong Lin Huijie Leng Jian Li Xinyu Li Caimei Wang Yun Tian Zhongjun Liu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:9
5Raman characteristics of hydrocarbon and hydrocarbon inclusions显示文摘The Raman spectrograms of hydrocarbon standard samples show that: (1) the Raman spectrogram of normal paraffin has very strong peaks of methyl and methylene (from 2700 cm-1 to 2970 cm-1); (2) branch methyl has the particular peak of 748 cm-1±; (3) six cyclic has the particular peak of 804 cm-1±; (4) phenyl has two particular peaks of 988 cm-1± and 3058 cm-1± and the 988 cm-1± peak is stronger than the 3058 cm-1± peak; and (5) hexene has three alkenyl spectrum peaks of 1294 cm-1±, 1635 cm-1± and 2996 cm-1±, with the 1635 cm-1± peak being the strongest, showing that the number of carbon in hy-drocarbon does not affect its Raman spectrogram, and the hydrocarbon molecular structure and base groups affect its Raman spectrogram, the same hydrocarbons (such as normal paraffin) have the same Raman spectrogram; the types (such as CH4, C2H6, C3H8) and the content of hydrocarbon in oil inclu-sions are not estimated by their characteristic Raman peaks. According to the Raman spectrograms of hydrocarbon compositions, the Raman spectrogram of hydrocarbon inclusion can be divided into five types: saturated hydrocarbon Raman spectrogram, fluoresce Raman spectrogram, saturated hydro-carbon bitumen Raman spectrogram, bitumen Raman spectrogram, and ethane Raman spectrogram. 6Surface treatment of 3D printed porous Ti6Al4V implants by ultraviolet photofunctionalization for improved osseointegration显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)-printed porous Ti6Al4V implants play an important role in the reconstruction of bone defects.However,its osseointegration capacity needs to be further improved,and related methods are inadequate,especially lacking customized surface treatment technology.Consequently,we aimed to design an omnidirectional radiator based on ultraviolet(UV)photofunctionalization for the surface treatment of 3D-printed porous Ti6Al4V implants,and studied its osseointegration promotion effects in vitro and in vivo,while elucidating related mechanisms.Following UV treatment,the porous Ti6Al4V scaffolds exhibited significantly improved hydrophilicity,cytocompatibility,and alkaline phosphatase activity,while preserving their original mechanical properties.The increased osteointegration strength was further proven using a rabbit condyle defect model in vivo,in which UV treatment exhibited a high efficiency in the osteointegration enhancement of porous Ti6Al4V scaffolds by increasing bone ingrowth(BI),the bone-implant contact ratio(BICR),and the mineralized/osteoid bone ratio.The advantages of UV treatment for 3D-printed porous Ti6Al4V implants using the omnidirectional radiator in the study were as follows:1)it can significantly improve the osseointegration capacity of porous titanium implants despite the blocking out of UV rays by the porous structure;2)it can evenly treat the surface of porous implants while preserving their original topography or other morphological features;and 3)it is an easy-to-operate low-cost process,making it worthy of wide clinical application.Chuan Yin Teng Zhang Qingguang Wei Hong Cai Yan Cheng Yun Tian Huijie Leng Caimei Wang Shiqing Feng Zhongjun Liu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,1:2
7Mathematical method in optical molecular imaging显示文摘Optical molecular imaging is an important technique of studies at molecular level and provides promising tools to non-invasively delineate in vivo physiological and pathological activities at cellular and molecular levels,and it has been widely used for diagnosing,managing diseases,metastasis detection and drug development.From a mathematical perspective,this paper mainly focuses on the forward problem and inverse problem in biological tissues based on the radiative transfer equation(RTE).The forward problem is accustomed to describing photon propagation in biological tissues and the inverse problem is used to reconstruct internal source distribution from the signal detected on the external surface.We also introduce the detailed derivation of the RTE and Robin boundary condition and discretization of the forward problem,along with the reconstruction methods and iterative solution algorithms summarized for the inverse problem.Finally,the current and future challenges of optical molecular imaging are discussed.This survey aims to construct a mathematical method,a state-of-the-art framework for optical molecular imaging,from which future research may benefit.LENG ChengCai TIAN Jie 2015Science China(Information Sciences)2015,58,3:2

9Risk stratification in symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic disease with conventional vascular risk factors and cerebral haemodynamics显示文摘Background and purpose Symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(sICAS)is associated with a considerable risk of recurrent stroke despite contemporarily optimal medical treatment.Severity of luminal stenosis in sICAS and its haemodynamic significance quantified with computational fluid dynamics(CFD)models were associated with the risk of stroke recurrence.We aimed to develop and compare stroke risk prediction nomograms in sICAS,based on vascular risk factors and these metrics.Methods Patients with 50%-99%sICAS confirmed in CT angiography(CTA)were enrolled.Conventional vascular risk factors were collected.Severity of luminal stenosis in sICAS was dichotomised as moderate(50%-69%)and severe(70%-99%).Translesional pressure ratio(PR)and wall shear stress ratio(WSSR)were quantified via CTA-based CFD modelling;the haemodynamic status of sICAS was classified as normal(normal PR&WSSR),intermediate(otherwise)and abnormal(abnormal PR&WSSR).All patients received guideline-recommended medical treatment.We developed and compared performance of nomograms composed of these variables and independent predictors identified in multivariate logistic regression,in predicting the primary outcome,recurrent ischaemic stroke in the same territory(SIT)within 1 year.Results Among 245 sICAS patients,20(8.2%)had SIT.The D2H2A nomogram,incorporating diabetes,dyslipidaemia,haemodynamic status of sICAS,hypertension and age≥50 years,showed good calibration(P for Hosmer-Lemeshow test=0.560)and discrimination(C-statistic 0.73,95%CI 0.60 to 0.85).It also had better performance in risk reclassification and provided larger net benefits in decision curve analysis,compared with nomograms composed of conventional vascular risk factors only,and plus the severity of luminal stenosis in sICAS.Sensitivity analysis in patients with anterior-circulation sICAS showed similar results.Conclusions The D2H2A nomogram,incorporating conventional vascular risk factors and the haemodynamic significance of sICAS as assessed in CFD models,could be a useful tool to stratify sICAS patients for the risk of recurrent stroke under contemporarily optimal medical treatment.Xuan Tian Hui Fang Linfang Lan Hing Lung Ip Jill Abrigo Haipeng Liu Lina Zheng Florence S Y Fan Sze Ho Ma Bonaventure Ip Bo Song Yuming Xu Jingwei Li Bing Zhang Yun Xu Yannie O Y Soo Vincent Mok Ka Sing Wong Thomas W Leung Xinyi Leng 2023Stroke & Vascular Neurology2023,8,1:2
