1Regional disparity in the changes of agricultural land use intensity in China during 1980-2002显示文摘Based on the cost-benefit data (1980–2002) of farm products and China Agriculture Yearbooks, this paper studies the regional disparity in the changes of the agricultural land use in China during the period 1980–2002 from three aspects such as the degree of intensity, the sown area and the abandoned farmland. The results show that: (1) The degree of intensity of land use in the western region during 1980–2000 has a strong uptrend, but in the eastern and central regions the degree of intensity descends obviously and has shown a continuous downtrend since 1997. (2) The total sown area shrinks notably in the eastern region, while it enlarges constantly in the western region. (3) The sown area in the eastern, central and western regions has gone through a similar cyclic process: down (1980–1985)–up (1985–1991)–down (1991–1994)–up (1994–1999)–down (1999–2002). However, there are obvious differences in amplitude variation and tendency among them. The sown area has shrunk in the eastern region and expanded in the central and western regions especially before 1999. (4) The most cases of abandoned farmland are reported in the central region, the second in the eastern region and the least in the western region. 2Coal and gas outburst mechanism of the “Three Soft” coal seam in western Henan显示文摘Based on the particularities of gas outbursts,i.e.,low gas bearing capacity and low gas pressure in the 'Three Soft' coal seam in western Henan,we applied the theories of plate tectonics and regional structural evolution to investigate the mechanism of this seam and its impact on the coal seam gas formation.Our investigation revealed that coal and gas outbursts are distributed in a strip in a NW direction,with a number of high-penetration mines scattered towards the south side and low-gas mines largely located on the north side.We analyzed the statistics of 38 gas explosions and the rock-coal sturdiness number coefficient f of 167 sampling sites in the region and found the gas outburst mechanism that features a 'low indicator outburst phenomenon'.The mechanism is characterized by structural coal as its core,a low gas bearing capacity,low gas pressure and sturdiness coefficient f mostly less than 0.3.Our research results provide a theoretical foundation for effective control of gas disasters.LEI DongJi LI Chengwu ZHANG Zimin ZHANG Yugui 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,5:10
3Pathways related to PMA-differentiated THP1 human monocytic leukemia cells revealed by RNA-Seq显示文摘Previous analyses have reported that the human monocytic cell line THP1 can be differentiated into cells with macrophage-like characteristics by phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate(PMA). However, little is known about the mechanism responsible for regulating this differentiation process. Here, we performed high-throughput RNA-Seq analysis to investigate the genes differently expressed in THP1 cells treated with and without PMA and examined those that may be responsible for the PMA-induced differentiation of monocytes into macrophages. We found 3,000 genes to be differentially expressed after PMA treatment. Gene ontology analysis revealed that genes related to cellular processes and regulation of biological processes were significantly enriched. KEGG analysis also demonstrated that the differentially expressed genes(DEGs) were significantly enriched in the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and phagosome pathway. Importantly, we reveal an important role of the PI3K/AKT pathway in PMA-induced THP1 cell differentiation. The identified DEGs and pathways may facilitate further study of the detailed molecular mechanisms of THP1 differentiation. 4Co-Production of Lipids, Eicosapentaenoic Acid, Fucoxanthin, and Chrysolaminarin by Phaeodactylum tricornutum Cultured in a Flat-Plate Photobioreactor Under Varying Nitrogen Conditions显示文摘The marine diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum is a polymorphological, ecologically significant, and well-studied model of unicellular microalga. This diatom can accumulate diverse important metabolites. Herein, we cultured P. tricornutum in an internally installed tie-piece flat-plate photobioreactor under 14.5 m mol L^(-1)(high nitrogen, HN) and 2.9 m mol L^(-1)(low nitrogen, LN) of KNO_3 and assessed its time-resolved changes in biochemical compositions. The results showed that HN was inductive to accumulate high biomass(4.1 g L^(-1)). However, the LN condition could accelerate lipid accumulation in P. tricornutum. The maximum total lipid(TL) content under LN was up to 42.5% of biomass on day 12. Finally, neutral lipids(NLs) were 63.8% and 75.7% of TLs under HN and LN, respectively. The content of EPA ranged from 2.3% to 1.5% of dry weight during the growth period under the two culture conditions. Peak volumetric lipid productivity of 128.4 mg L^(-1)d^(-1) was achieved in the HN group(on day 9). The highest volumetric productivity values of EPA, chrysolaminarin, and fucoxanthin were obtained in the exponential phase(on day 6) under HN, which were 9.6, 93.6, and 4.7 mg L^(-1)d^(-1), respectively. 7Expressed sequence tags analysis revealing the taxonomic position and fatty acid biosynthesis in an oleaginous green microalga,Myrmecia incisa Reisigl(Trebouxiophyceae,Chlorophyta)显示文摘cDNA library of Myrmecia incisa H4301 was constructed using λ phage vectors.The library consisted of 1.5×10 6 clones with a recombination rate of 90%,and 1942 clones were randomly sequenced.All 1854 readable expressed sequence tags(ESTs) were clustered into 596 non-redundant sequences(NRSs),among which 126 NRSs were from 1384 ESTs,showing a high redundancy.Among the 596 NRSs,30 were ribosomal RNA,and 152 significantly matched with those available in NCBI database and JGI Genome Portal,the latter were divided into nine subcategories.Overall,59 NRSs were involved in photosynthesis,the respiratory electron transport chain,ATP synthesis,oxidation reduction,fatty acid biosynthesis,glucose metabolism,protein metabolism,and small molecular metabolism,suggesting that these genes were abundantly transcribed during energy and substance metabolism.Acyl-carrier protein,ferrodoxin and fatty acid elongase genes obtained from this cDNA library enabled presumption of a possible biosynthesis pathway of ArA in M.incisa.Codon usage analysis of 142 NRSs with 17798 codons in the predicted coding regions showed that the average G+C content level of the total codons was 55.39%,and that of the third position in base trimers was 66.42%,indicating a strong bias toward cytosine and/or guanosine in this algal genome.Among all synonymous codons,NAG was most favored,while NUA was most avoided.Phylogenic trees inferred from ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase small subunit genes and the extra partial sequences of 18S rRNA obtained from this library demonstrated that M.incisa belonged to Trebouxiophyceae and was significantly clustered with M.incisa SAG 2007,Lobosphaera tirolensis,M.bisecta,and Parietochloris incisa,but was clearly distant from P.pseudoalveolaris and P.alveolar.Transmission electron microscopy revealed pyrenoids traversed by many parallel thylakoids membranes,while starch grains were only clearly observed when cells were grown under nitrogen stress.Based on combined investigation of the phylogeny and morphological characteristics,it is proposed that M.incisa be kept in the genus Myrmecia in which there might be two parallel groups,one living freely and another symbiotic species.OUYANG LongLing DU DaoHai YU ShuiYan LI ChunYang ZHANG ChengWu GAO HongJian ZHOU ZhiGang 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,25:4
8Research on the degradation mechanism of pyridine in drinking water by dielectric barrier discharge显示文摘Pyridine, an important chemical raw material, is widely used in industry, for example in textiles,leather, printing, dyeing, etc. In this research, a dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) system was developed to remove pyridine, as a representative type of nitrogen heterocyclic compound in drinking water. First, the influence of the active species inhibitors tertiary butanol alcohol(TBA),HCO_3^-, and CO_3^(2-)on the degradation rate of pyridine was investigated to verify the existence of active species produced by the strong ionization discharge in the system. The intermediate and final products generated in the degradation process of pyridine were confirmed and analyzed through a series of analytical techniques, including liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry(LC–MS), high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC), ion chromatography(IC), total organic carbon(TOC) analysis, ultraviolet(UV) spectroscopy, etc. The results showed that the degradation of pyridine was mainly due to the strong oxidizing power of ozone and hydroxyl radical produced by the DBD system. Several intermediate products including 3-hydroxyl pyridine, fumaric acid, 2, 3-dihydroxypyridine, and oxalic acid were detected. Nitrogen was removed from the pyridine molecule to form nitrate. Through analysis of the degradation mechanism of pyridine, the oxidation pathway was deduced. 9Mechanical Properties and Temper Resistance of Deformation Induced Ferrite in a Low Carbon Steel显示文摘The microstructures and mechanical properties of deformation induced ferrite(DIF) in the low carbon steel Q235 under different deformation temperatures have been investigated systematically.Through deformation induced ferrite transformation(DIFT),ferrite grain can be refined to 3 μm and accounts for above 85% of the overall fraction.Yield strength of DIF(>500 MPa) is increased by up to 100% compared with the conventional low carbon steel.Comparison of microstructure and mechanical properties in the Q235 steel with DIF and tempered DIF microstructure illustrates that the strengthening mechanism of DIF microstructure is the combination of grain boundary strengthening and carbon supersaturated strengthening.Electron back-scattered diffraction(EBSD) analysis and high magnification scanning electron microscopy(SEM) observation denote that high-angle grain boundary among ultrafine ferrite grain and the transformation product of retain austenite membrane along ferrite boundaries are responsible for the stability of ferrite grain size during tempering process.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) analysis demonstrates that the transformation product of retained austenite membrane between ferrite grain boundaries is cementite.Luhan Hao,Namin Xiao,Chengwu Zheng and Dianzhong Li Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science,Institute of Metal Research,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Shenyang 110016,China 2010Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,12:3
10Effects of Temperature, Salinity, Light Intensity, and pH on the Eicosapentaenoic Acid Production of Pinguiococcus pyrenoidosus显示文摘The effects of temperature, light intensity, salinity, and initial pH on the growth and fatty acid composition of Pinguiococcus pyrenoidosus 2078 were studied for eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) production potential. The fatty acid composition was assayed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, which indicated that the main fatty acids were C14:0, C16:0 and EPA. The highest EPA percentage 20.83% of total fatty acids was obtained at 20℃ with the temperature being set at 20, 24, and 28℃. Under different salinities and light intensities, the highest percentages of total polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) and EPA were 17.82% and 31.37% of total fatty acids, respectively, which were achieved at salinity 30 and 100μmol photon m-2s-1 illumination. 11A Multiplex PCR Assay for the Detection of Pathogenic Genes of EPEC,ETEC and EIEC显示文摘A multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was developed to detect three pathogenic genes of en-teropathogenic, enterotocigenic and enteroinvasive Escherichia coli.. In this study three different sets of oligonu-cleotide primer were simultaneously used, and in this way, specific fragments of 880, 600, 150 bp for EPEC eaeA, EIEC ipaH and ETEC ST genes were amplified, respectively. The best condition of the multiplex PCR was: after an initial heat denaturation step at 95℃ for 5 min, followed by 30 cycles of denaturation at 94℃ for 40 s, primer annealing at 51.3 ℃ for 40 s and extension at 72 ℃ for 1 min, final extension at 72 ℃ for 10 min. The detection limit of the eaeA, ipaH and ST primers was 38.7423, 3.60519, 29.9448 ng·mL-1 (4.3×104, 1.5×103, 2.6×104 CFU·mL-1), respectively. 12Mitochondria targeting drugs for neurodegenerative diseases——Design, mechanism and application显示文摘Neurodegenerative diseases(NDDs) such as Alzheimer’s disease(AD) and Parkinson ’s disease(PD) are a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by progressive degeneration of neurons.NDDs threaten the lives of millions of people worldwide and regretfully remain incurable.It is well accepted that dysfunction of mitochondria underlies the pathogenesis of NDDs.Dysfunction of mitochondria results in energy depletion,oxidative stress,calcium overloading,caspases activation,which dominates the neuronal death of NDDs.Therefore,mitochondria are the preferred target for intervention of NDDs.So far various mitochondria-targeting drugs have been developed and delightfully some of them demonstrate promising outcome,though there are still some obstacles such as targeting specificity,delivery capacity hindering the drugs development.In present review,we will elaborately address 1) the strategy to design mitochondria targeting drugs,2) the rescue mechanism of respective mitochondria targeting drugs,3) how to evaluate the therapeutic effect.Hopefully this review will provide comprehensive knowledge for understanding how to develop more effective drugs for the treatment of NDDs.Jiajia Xu Wei Du Yunhe Zhao Kahleong Lim Li Lu Chengwu Zhang Lin Li 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,6:2
13Remediation of 2,4-dichlorophenol-contaminated groundwater using nano-sized CaO_(2)in a two-dimensional scale tank显示文摘This study evaluates the applicability of nano-sized calcium peroxide(CaO_(2))as a source of H_(2)O_(2)to remediate 2,4-dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP)contaminated groundwater via the advanced oxidation process(AOP).First,the effect and mechanism of 2,4-DCP degradation by CaO_(2)at different Fe concentrations were studied(Fenton reaction).We found that at high Fe concentrations,2,4-DCP almost completely degrades via primarily the oxidation of·OH within 5 h.At low Fe concentrations,the degradation rate of 2,4-DCP decreased rapidly.The main mechanism was the combined action of·OH and O_(2)^(·−).Without Fe,the 2,4-DCP degradation reached 13.6%in 213 h,primarily via the heterogeneous reaction on the surface of CaO_(2).Besides,2,4-DCP degradation was significantly affected by solution pH.When the solution pH was>10,the degradation was almost completely inhibited.Thus,we adopted a two-dimensional water tank experiment to study the remediation efficiency CaO_(2)on the water sample.We noticed that the degradation took place mainly in regions of pH<10(i.e.,CaO_(2)distribution area),both upstream and downstream of the tank.After 28 days of treatment,the average 2,4-DCP degradation level was≈36.5%.Given the inadequacy of the results,we recommend that groundwater remediation using nano CaO_(2):(1)a buffer solution should be added to retard the rapid increase in pH,and(2)the nano CaO_(2)should be injected copiously in batches to reduce CaO_(2)deposition.Tianyi Li Chengwu Zhang Jingyi Zhang Song Yan Chuanyu Qin 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,5:2
14Effects of surface roughness on the aerodynamic performance of a high subsonic compressor airfoil at low Reynolds number显示文摘The aerodynamic performance of compressor airfoil is significantly affected by the surface roughness at low Reynolds number(Re).In the present study,numerical simulations have been conducted to investigate the impact of surface roughness on the profile loss of a high subsonic compressor airfoil at Re=1.5×10^(5).Four roughness locations,covering 10%,30%,50%and 100%of the suction surface from the leading edge and seven roughness magnitudes(Ra)ranging from 52 to525 lm were selected.Results showed that the surface roughness mainly determined the loss generation process by influencing the structure of the Laminar Separation Bubble(LSB)and the turbulence level near the wall.For all the roughness locations,the variation trend for the profile loss with the roughness magnitude was similar.In the transitionally rough region,the negative displacement effect of the LSB was suppressed with the increase of roughness magnitude,leading to a maximum decrease of 14.6%,16.04%,16.45%and 10.20%in the profile loss at Ra=157 lm for the four roughness locations,respectively.However,with a further increase of the roughness magnitude in the fully rough region,the stronger turbulent dissipation enhanced the growth rate of the turbulent boundary layer and increased the profile loss instead.By comparison,the leading edge roughness played a dominant role in the boundary layer development and performance variation.To take fully advantage of the surface roughness reducing profile loss at low Re,the effects of roughness on suppressing LSB and inducing strong turbulent dissipation should be balanced effectively.Mingyang WANG Chengwu YANG Ziliang LI Shengfeng ZHAO Yanfeng ZHANG Xin’gen LU 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,3:2
15Cellular automaton modeling of austenite formation from ferrite plus pearlite microstructures during intercritical annealing of a C-Mn steel显示文摘A mesoscopic cellular automaton model was developed to study the microstructure evolution and solute redistribution of austenization during intercritical annealing of a C-Mn steel. This model enables a depiction of three-stage kinetics of the transformation combined with the thermodynamic analysis:(1) the rapid austenite growth accompanied with pearlite degeneration until the pearlite dissolves completely;(2) the slower austenite growth into ferrite with a rate limiting factor of carbon diffusion in austenite;and(3) the slow austenite growth in control of the manganese diffusion until the final equilibrium reached for ferrite and austenite. 16Spectral characteristics of micro-seismic signals obtained during the rupture of coal显示文摘This study was performed to investigate the spectral characteristics of micro-seismic signals observed during the rupture of coal. Coal rupture micro-seismic observations were obtained on a test system that included an electro-hydraulic servo pressure tester controlled by a YAW microcomputer, a micro-seismic sensor, a loading system, and a signal collection system. The results show that the micro-seismic signal increases with increasing compressive stress at the beginning of coal rupture. The signal remains stable for a period at this stage. A large number of micro-seismic signals appear immediately before the main rupture event. The frequency of micro-seismic events reaches a maximum immediately after the coal ruptures. Micro-seismic signals were decomposed into several Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMF's) by the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method using a Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT). The main fre- quency band of the micro-seismic signals was found to range from 10 to 100 Hz in the Hilbert energy spectrum and from marginal spectrum calculations. The advantage of applying an HHT is that this can extract the main features of the signal. 17Effect of Non-Axisymmetric End Wall on a Highly Loaded Compressor Cascade in Multi-Conditions显示文摘As an effective method to influence end wall flow field,non-axisymmetric profiled end wall can improve the aerodynamic performance of compressor cascades.For a highly loaded low pressure compressor cascade,called V103,the study found the optimal non-axisymmetric profiled end wall decreases total pressure loss coefficient by 4.57%,5.48%and 3.04%under incidences of–3°,0°,and 3°,respectively,compared with those of the planar end wall.The optimal non-axisymmetric profiled end wall changes the structure of secondary flow in hub region,generating a corner vortex near suction surface,inhibiting the development of the passage vortex towards suction surface and reducing flow separation.When the inlet Mach numbers are 0.62 and 0.72,the total pressure loss coefficient decreases by 3.19%and 4.58%for optimal non-axisymmetric profiled end wall compared with those of the planar end wall.Though optimal non-axisymmetric profiled end wall increases total pressure loss near hub region in blade passage under different inlet Mach numbers,the peak value and region of high loss coefficient above 10%span in blade passage significantly decrease.In addition,different incidences affect the secondary flow streamlines and vortex structure near the cascade hub region,however,different inlet Mach numbers hardly change the secondary flow streamlines and vortex structure.In short,the optimal non-axisymmetric profiled end wall shows better aerodynamic performance than the planar end wall for the highly loaded compressor cascade in multi-conditions.HUANG Song YANG Chengwu LI Ziliang HAN Ge ZHAO Shengfeng LU Xin’gen 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,4:2
18Ultra-Fine Heterogeneous Microstructure Enables High Strength-Ductility in a Cold-Rolled Medium Mn Steel显示文摘The objective of the present study is to develop heterogeneous microstructure in cold-rolled medium Mn steels(MMSs)annealing strategy.The cold-rolled Fe-4.7Mn-0.15C(wt%)steel is annealed twice at different temperatures to produce an ultra-fine heterogeneous microstructure with lath-shaped and granular-shaped retained austenite.Excellent mechanical behavior of significant strength enhancement with negligible ductility loss can be achieved.The high strength-ductility properties are attributed to the active transformation induced plasticity effect over a broad strain range owing to dispersive mechanical stabilities of the heterogeneous austenite.Furthermore,the typical yield point elongation phenomenon which is commonly observed in cold-rolled MMSs can be effectively reduced by this microstructural strategy.Baojia Hu Chengwu Zheng Qinyuan Zheng Peng Liu Chunni Jia Dianzhong Li 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,10:2

20Delay-dependent robust passivity control for uncertain time-delay systems显示文摘The robust passivity control problem is addressed for a class of uncertain delayed systems with time-varying delay. The parameter uncertainties are norm-bounded. First, the delay-dependent stability sufficient condition is obtained for the nominal system, and then, based-on the former, the delay-dependent robust passivity criteria is provided and the corresponding controller is designed in terms of linear matrix inequalities.
