1Progress in non-invasive detection of liver fibrosis显示文摘Liver fibrosis is an important pathological precondition for hepatocellular carcinoma.The degree of hepatic fibrosis is positively correlated with liver cancer.Liver fibrosis is a series of pathological and physiological process related to liver cell necrosis and degeneration after chronic liver injury,which finally leads to extracellular matrix and collagen deposition.The early detection and precise staging of fibrosis and cirrhosis are very important for early diagnosis and timely initiation of appropriate therapeutic regimens.The risk of severe liver fibrosis finally progressing to liver carcinoma is>50%.It is known that biopsy is the gold standard for the diagnosis and staging of liver fibrosis.However,this method has some limitations,such as the potential for pain,sampling variability,and low patient acceptance.Furthermore,the necessity of obtaining a tissue diagnosis of liver fibrosis still remains controversial.An increasing number of reliable non-invasive approaches are now available that are widely applied in clinical practice,mostly in cases of viral hepatitis,resulting in a significantly decreased need for liver biopsy.In fact,the noninvasive detection and evaluation of liver cirrhosis now has good accuracy due to current serum markers,ultrasound imaging,and magnetic resonance imaging quantification techniques.A prominent advantage of the non-invasive detection and assessment of liver fibrosis is that liver fibrosis can be monitored repeatedly and easily in the same patient.Serum biomarkers have the advantages of high applicability(>95%)and good reproducibility.However,their results can be influenced by different patient conditions because none of these markers are liver-specific.The most promising techniques appear to be transient elastography and magnetic resonance elastography because they provide reliable results for the detection of fibrosis in the advanced stages,and future developments promise to increase the reliability and accuracy of the staging of hepatic fibrosis.This article aims to describe the recent progress in the development of non-invasive assessment methods for the staging of liver fibrosis,with a special emphasize on computer-aided quantitative and deep learning methods.Chengxi Li Rentao Li Wei Zhang 2018Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,2:39
2Genetic contribution of foreign germplasm to elite Chinese soybean (Glycine max) cultivars revealed by SSR markers显示文摘Simple sequence repeats (SSR) marker analysis, combined with pedigree analysis, was car- ried out to trace the genetic constitutes of Suinong 14 and Hefeng 25 in assessing the contribution of for- eign germplasm to those elite cultivars. The overall goal is to accumulate information for further effective utilization of foreign germplasm in Chinese soybean breeding programs. SSR clustering results indicated that the genetic base of elite Chinese soybean culti- vars, including Suinong 14 and Hefeng 25, were broadened and enhanced via introduction of Amsoy from the U.S. and Shishengchangye from Japan. The pedigree analysis showed a very high coefficient of parentage between Shishengchangye and Hefeng 25, between Shishengchangye and Suinong 14, and between Amsoy and Suinong 14. The genetic simi- larity between Suinong 14 and Hefeng 25 was 60.58%. Among 20 linkage groups, more genomic regions were transferred from Hefeng 25 to Suinong 14 in linkage group (LG) I, L and C2 than other LGs. Among the unique alleles of foreign parents, five specific loci in Amsoy were transferred to Suinong 14, and three loci from Shishengchangye to Suinong 14. Some SSR loci were proved to be correlated with phenotypes: two loci for seed size introgressed from Shishengchangye to Suinong 14, and one locus forprotein content from Amsoy to Suinong 14. 3Composite silicone rubber of high piezoresistance repeatability filled with nanoparticles显示文摘The ruthenium oxide nanoparticles with size less than 20 nm were fabricated by annealing the metallic ruthenium nanoparticles in air,which were synthesized by using the thermal reduction in the polyol solution.The rutile structure of the ruthenium oxide was proved by using transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The oxide has good electron conductivity. The surface of the ruthenium oxide was modified by a vinyl silane coupling agent.The assembling of the silane to the oxide surface was proved by Infrared(IR)absorption spectroscopy.By mixing the nanoparticles with poly(methylvinylsiloxane)(PMVS)silicone rubber,a composite filled with dispersive conducting phase was fabricated.The temperature dependent conductivity shows that the electron transportation through composite is mainly dominated by tunneling.The measurement of piezoresistance shows that the composite at low strain has high piezoresistance repeatability.The 3D reconstruction images of the composite filled with carbon black or ruthenium oxide show that the aggregation of the nanoparticles differs much for two composites.The narrow distribution range of the particle size was thought to be the main factor for the high piezoresistance recurrence.WU JuYing ZHOU ChengXi ZHU QingWen LI EnRong DAI Ge BA Long HUANG YuHong Mei Jun 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,12:1

9Endowing inorganic nanomaterials with circularly polarized luminescence显示文摘Recently,materials with circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)properties have attracted substantial attention because they offer new perspectives in fundamental research and wide applications in photonics,bio-encoding,catalysis,and so forth.Such importance has recently promoted the development of CPL-active materials from the traditional realm of organics to newly released areas in inorganics.Due to the advantages of inorganic nanomaterials in stability,high luminescent quantum efficiency,material diversity,and the diversity of shapes and sizes,extensive research about CPL active inorganic nanomaterials has been done in the past decades leading to great signs of progress on synthesis,characterizations,and potential applications.In this review,therefore,we will thoroughly describe the general design principles of inorganic nanomaterials with CPL activity,basically according to the origins of chirality in inorganic nanomaterials:intrinsic chirality in inorganic nanomaterials,ligand-induced chirality,and structural chirality caused by the supramolecular assembly,respectively.The representative applications of the CPL-active inorganic nanomaterials are presented with respect to challenges,prospective,and problems that unsolved to date.Dongxue Han Chengxi Li Chengyu Jiang Xue Jin Xiongbin Wang Rui Chen Jiaji Cheng Pengfei Duan 2022Aggregate2022,3,1:1

13Experimental investigations on validity of moving chemical reaction boundary equation for the strong acid——weak base system with an excess of potassium chloride显示文摘A moving chemical reaction boundary (MCRB) is formed by the weak alkali NH3*H2O and strong acid HCl with an excess of potassium chloride as background electrolyte. The experimental results are compared with the predictions in accordance with the moving chemical reaction boundary equation (MCRBE). If the MCRB is cathodic, the experimental results are in agreement with the predictions by the MCRBE. However, if the MCRB is anodic, the experimental results significantly deviate from the predictions of the MCRBE. A corrected MCRB equation is proposed for such conditions. The findings are evidently different from those in our early reports(J. Chromatogr. A, 891 (2000): 337~347; 907 (2001): 347~352; 922 (2001) 283~393). 14In Situ Monitoring of Transmetallation in Electric Potential-Promoted Oxidative Coupling in a Single-Molecule Junction显示文摘To monitor and investigate chemical reactions in real time and in situ is a long-standing,challenging goal in chemistry.Herein,an electric potential-promoted oxidative coupling reaction of organoboron compounds without the addition of base is reported,and the transmetallation process involved is monitored in real time and in situ with the scanning tunneling microscopy break single-molecule junctions(STMBJ)technique.We found that the electric potential applied determined the transmetallation.At low-bias voltage,the first-step transmetallation process occurred and afforded Au─C-bonded aryl gold intermediates.The electronic properties of organoboron compounds have a strong influence on the transmetallation process,and electron-rich compounds facilitate this transformation.At high-bias voltage,the second-step transmetallation process took place,and the corresponding intermediate(highly reactive diaryl metal complex)was detected with the assistance of Pd(OAc)_(2).Our work demonstrates the applications of STMBJ on in situ monitoring and catalyzing of chemical reactions and provides a new methodology to fabricate singlemolecule devices.Yunpeng Li Chengxi Zhao Rui Wang Ajun Tang Wenjing Hong Dahui Qu He Tian Hongxiang Li 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,1:0

16Development of one-class classification method for identifying healthy T.granosa from those contaminated with uncertain heavy metals by LIBS显示文摘Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)can be used for the rapid detection of heavy metal contamination of Tegillarca granosa(T.granosa),but an appropriate classification model needs to be constructed.In the one-class classification method,only target samples are needed in training process to achieve the recognition of abnormal samples,which is suitable for rapid identification of healthy T.granosa from those contaminated with uncertain heavy metals.The construction of a one-class classification model for heavy metal detection in T.granosa by LIBS has faced the problem of high-dimension and small samples.To solve this problem,a novel one-class classification method was proposed in this study.Here,the principal component scores and the intensity of the residual spectrum were combined as extracted features.Then,a one-class classifier based on Mahalanobis distance using the extracted features was constructed and its threshold was set by leave-one-out crossvalidation.The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of the proposed method were reached to 1,0.9333 and 0.9667 respectively,which are superior to the previously reported methods.Zhonghao Xie Xi’an Feng Xiao Chen Guangzao Huang Xiaojing Chen Limin Li Wen Shi Chengxi Jiang Shuwen Yu 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,4:0
17Identification of Dominant Climate Variables on Spatiotemporal Variation in Reference Evapotranspiration on the Loess Plateau,China显示文摘Reference evapotranspiration(ET_(0))is a vital component in hydrometeorological research and is widely applied to various aspects,such as water resource management,hydrological modeling,irrigation deployment,and understanding and predicting the influence of hydrologic cycle variations on future climate and land use changes.Quantifying the influence of various meteorological variables on ET_(0) is not only helpful for predicting actual evapotranspiration but also has important implications for understanding the impact of global climate change on regional water resources.Based on daily data from 69 meteorological stations,the present study analyzed the spatiotemporal pattern of ET_(0) and major contributing meteorological variables to ET_(0) from 1960 to 2017 by the segmented re-gression model,Mann-Kendall test,wavelet analysis,generalized linear model,and detrending method.The results showed that the annual ET_(0) declined slightly because of the combined effects of the reduction in solar radiation and wind speed and the increase in vapor pressure deficit(VPD)and average air temperature in the Loess Plateau(LP)during the past 58 yr.Four change points were detected in 1972,1990,1999,and 2010,and the annual ET_(0) showed a zigzag change trend of‘increasing-decreasing-increasing-decreasing-increasing’.Wind speed and VPD played a leading role in the ET_(0) changes from 1960 to 1990 and from 1991 to 2017,respectively.This study confirms that the dominant meteorological factors affecting ET_(0) had undergone significant changes due to global climate change and vegetation greening in the past 58 years,and VPD had become the major factor controlling the ET_(0) changes on the LP.The data presented herein will contribute to increasing the accuracy of predictions on future changes in ET_(0).LI Xiaofei LIANG Wei JIAO Lei YAN Jianwu ZHANG Weibin WANG Fengjiao GOU Fen WANG Chengxi SHAO Quanqin 2022Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,4:0
18Protective mechanisms of Leontopodium leontopodioides extracts on lipopolysaccharide-induced acute kidney injury via the NF-κB/NLRP3 pathway显示文摘Sepsis-induced uncontrolled systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS)is a critical cause of multiple organ failure.Acute kidney injury(AKI)is one of the most serious complications associated with an extremely high mortality rate in SIRS,and it lacked simple,safe,and effective treatment strategies.Leontopodium leontopodioides(Willd.)Beauv(LLB)is commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of acute and chronic nephritis.However,it remains unclear whether lipopolysaccharide(LPS)affects LPS-induced AKI.To identify the molecular mechanisms of LLB in LPS-induced HK-2 cells and mice,LLB was prepared by extraction with 70%methanol,while a lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced HK-2 cell model and an AKI model were established in this study.Renal histopathology staining was performed to observe the morphology changes.The cell supernatant and kidney tissues were collected for determining the levels of inflammatory factors and protein expression by ELISA,immunofluorescence,and Western blot.The results indicated that LLB significantly reduced the expression of IL-6 and TNF-αin LPS-induced HK-2 cells,as well as the secretion of IL-6,TNF-α,and IL-1βin the supernatant.The same results were observed in LPS-induced AKI serum.Further studies revealed that LLB remarkably improved oxidative stress and apoptosis based on the content of MDA,SOD,and CAT in serum and TUNEL staining results.Notably,LLB significantly reduced the mortality due to LPS infection.Renal histopathology staining results supported these results.Furthermore,immunofluorescence and Western blot results confirmed that LLB significantly reduced the expression of the protein related to the NF-κB signaling pathway and NLRP3,ASC,and Caspase-1 which were significantly increased through LPS stimulation.These findings clearly demonstrated the potential use of LLB in the treatment of AKI and the crucial role of the NF-κB/NLRP3 pathway in the process through which LLB attenuates AKI induced by LPS.BAI Xue MA Qianqian LI Qi YIN Meizhen XIN Ying ZHEN Dong WEI Chengxi 2023Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2023,21,1:0
