| 1 | Time range of Mesozoic tectonic regime inversion in eastern North China Block显示文摘An important tectonic inversion took place in eastern North China Block(NCB) during Mesozoic, which caused a great lithosphere thinning, reconstruction of basin-range series, powerful interaction between mantle and crust, a vast granitic intrusion and volcanism, and large-scale metallogenic explosion. The time range of the Mesozoic tectonic regime inversion in the eastern North China Block is one of the key issues to understand mechanism of tectonic regime inversion. Our updated results for recognizing the time range are mainly obtained from the following aspects: structural analyses along northern and southern margins of the NCB and within the NCB for revealing tectonic inversion from compression to extension and structural striking from ~EW to NNE; geothermic analyses of the eastern sedimental basins for a great change of thermal history and regime; basin analysis for basin inversion from compression to extension and basin migration from ~EW to NNE; petrological and geochemical studies of volcanic rocks and lowermost crust xenoliths for recognizing peak period of mantle upwelling and intense interaction between mantle and crust, and main metallogenic epoch. | 3 | OsGRF4 controls grain shape, panicle length and seed shattering in rice显示文摘Traits such as grain shape, panicle length and seed shattering, play important roles in grain yield and harvest. In this study, the cloning and functional analysis of PANICLE TRAITS 2(PT2), a novel gene from the Indica rice Chuandali(CDL), is reported. PT2 is synonymous with Growth-Regulating Factor 4(OsGRF4), which encodes a growth-regulating factor that positively regulates grain shape and panicle length and negatively regulates seed shattering. Higher expression of OsGRF4 is correlated with larger grain, longer panicle and lower seed shattering. A unique OsGRF4 mutation, which occurs at the Osmi RNA396 target site of OsGRF4, seems to be associated with high levels of OsGRF4 expression, and results in phenotypic difference. Further research showed that OsGRF4 regulated two cytokinin dehydrogenase precursor genes(CKX5 and CKX1) resulting in increased cytokinin levels,which might affect the panicle traits. High storage capacity and moderate seed shattering of OsGRF4 may be useful in high-yield breeding and mechanized harvesting of rice. | 7 | Low-dose real-time X-ray imaging with nontoxic double perovskite scintillators显示文摘X-rays are widely used in probing inside information nondestructively,enabling broad applications in the medical radiography and electronic industries.X-ray imaging based on emerging lead halide perovskite scintillators has received extensive attention recently.However,the strong self-absorption,relatively low light yield and lead toxicity of these perovskites restrict their practical applications.Here,we report a series of nontoxic double-perovskite scintillators of Cs_(2)Ag_(0.6)Na_(0.4)In_(1-y)Bi_(y)Cl_(6).By controlling the content of the heavy atom Bi^(3+),the X-ray absorption coefficient,radiative emission efficiency,light yield and light decay were manipulated to maximise the scintillator performance.A light yield of up to 39,000±7000 photons/MeV for Cs_(2)Ag_(0.6)Na_(0.4)In_(0.85)Bi_(0.15)Cl_(6) was obtained,which is much higher than that for the previously reported lead halide perovskite colloidal CsPbBr_(3)(21,000 photons/MeV).The large Stokes shift between the radioluminescence(RL)and absorption spectra benefiting from self-trapped excitons(STEs)led to a negligible selfabsorption effect.Given the high light output and fast light decay of this scintillator,static X-ray imaging was attained under an extremely low dose of ∼1μGy_(air),and dynamic X-ray imaging of finger bending without a ghosting effect was demonstrated under a low-dose rate of 47.2μGy_(air) s^(−1).After thermal treatment at 85℃ for 50 h followed by X-ray irradiation for 50 h in ambient air,the scintillator performance in terms of the RL intensity and X-ray image quality remained almost unchanged.Our results shed light on exploring highly competitive scintillators beyond the scope of lead halide perovskites,not only for avoiding toxicity but also for better performance. | Wenjuan Zhu Wenbo Ma Yirong Su Zeng Chen Xinya Chen Yaoguang Ma Lizhong Bai Wenge Xiao Tianyu Liu Haiming Zhu Xiaofeng Liu Huafeng Liu Xu Liu Yang(Michael)Yang | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 9 |
| 8 | Laser Ablation ICP-MS U-Pb Zircon Geochronology of Granitoids and Quartz Veins in the Shihu Gold Mine, Taihang Orogen, North China: Timing of Gold-mineralization and Tectonic Implications显示文摘The Shihu gold deposit, situated in the Taihang Mesozoic orogen of the North China Craton (NCC), is hosted by ductile-brittle faults within Archean metamorphic core complex. The deposit is characterized by gold-bearing quartz-polymetallic sulfides veins. The Mapeng granitoids stock and intermediate-basic dikes intruded the metamorphic basement rocks, and are spatially related to gold mineralization. Detailed laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA ICP-MS) U- Pb zircon ages of the granitic rocks, dykes and mineralized quartz veins in the studied area reveal its magmatic and mineralized history. The mineralized quartz veins contain inherited zircons with ages of about 2.55 Ga and 1.84 Ga, probably coming from the basement. These two Precambrian events are coeval with those in other parts of the NCC. The Mapeng granitoid stock, the largest intrusion in the area, was emplaced at ca. 130 Ma, and is coeval with magmatic zircon populations from diorites and quartz diorite pophyrites in the same region. The ca. 130 Ma magmatism and gold mineralization were most likely related to an underplating event that took place in the Taihang orogen at Late Mesozoic. The timing of gold mineralization with respect to felsic magmatism in the area is similar to those observed in other major gold-producing provinces in the NCC. | 10 | Text Detection in Natural Scene Images Using Morphological Component Analysis and Laplacian Dictionary显示文摘Text in natural scene images usually carries abundant semantic information. However, due to variations of text and complexity of background, detecting text in scene images becomes a critical and challenging task. In this paper, we present a novel method to detect text from scene images. Firstly, we decompose scene images into background and text components using morphological component analysis(MCA), which will reduce the adverse effects of complex backgrounds on the detection results.In order to improve the performance of image decomposition,two discriminative dictionaries of background and text are learned from the training samples. Moreover, Laplacian sparse regularization is introduced into our proposed dictionary learning method which improves discrimination of dictionary. Based on the text dictionary and the sparse-representation coefficients of text, we can construct the text component. After that, the text in the query image can be detected by applying certain heuristic rules. | 11 | Laser probe ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating for quartz from auriferous quartz veins in the Shihu gold deposit,western Hebei Province,North China显示文摘The Shihu gold deposit is situated in the central shear zone of the Meso-Cenozoic Fuping metamorphic core complex in the middle-northern part of the Taihang Mountains.This kind of gold deposits named after 'Shihu type' widely occurs in this region.Gold-bearing quartz veins are their most important industrial orebodies.Detailed laser 40Ar/39Ar geochronology of the mineralized quartz veins in the study area reveals details of its tectono-magmatic history.The 40Ar/39Ar ages for the quartz are between 134.4 Ma and 155.9 Ma with a mean age of 141±4 Ma on the isochron line and 139±7 Ma on the inverse isochron line,respectively,which is interpreted to be the best estimate of the crystalline age of the quartz veins.The gold mineralization was most likely related to an underplating event that took place in the northern part of the Taihang Mountain at ca.140 Ma.The timing of gold mineralization in the area is similar to those observed in other major gold-producing provinces in the NCC.This episode is simultaneous with those in the eastern NCC,indicative of a widespread late Yanshanian metallogenic event that was a response either to the subduction of the Izanagi-Pacific plate beneath eastern China or to the removal of the Early Cretaceous lithosphere in the eastern NCC.The ore-forming material sources may be the Early Precambrian metamorphic basement,instead of intermediate-acid rock bodies and dykes. | CAO Ye LI Shengrong ZHANG Huafeng AO Chong LI Zhenzhen LIU Xiaobin | 2010 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2010,29,4: | 5 |

| 14 | A comparative study of magnetic properties between whole cells and isolated magnetosomes of Magnetospirillum magneticum AMB-1显示文摘The magnetic properties of magnetosome magnetite are of interdisciplinary interest because magnetosomes are potential carriers of natural remanent magnetization and paleoenvironment, as well as novel nano-biomaterials in biotechnological and biomedical applications. We carried out magnetic and electron transmission microscopy analyses of fresh Magnetospirillum magneticum AMB-1 whole cells and isolated magnetosomes. Results revealed that AMB-1 synthesized single-domain magnetite magneto-somes, which are arranged in the form of linear fragmental chain. The distinct differences of magnetic properties between these two samples can be faithfully interpreted in terms of spatial arrangement of magnetosomes and magnetostatic interaction. For the whole cells, the strong intra-chain interactions and weak inter-chain interactions generate behaviors of non-interacting uniaxial single-domain particles. Its δ-ratio is 3.0 and passes the Moskowitz test. In contrast, the isolated magnetosome sample has reduced values of coercivity and δ-ratio (1.5), due to increasing three-dimensional magnetostatic interactions and collapse of magneto-some chains. | 16 | Enhancement of oral bioavailability and anti-Parkinsonian efficacy of resveratrol through a nanocrystal formulation显示文摘Resveratrol(RES),a non-flavonoid polyphenol extracted from a wide variety of plants,exhibits neuroprotective activities against Parkinson’s disease(PD).However,undesirable water solubility of RES reduces its oral bioavailability and demonstrates lowefficacy in blood and brain,thus limiting its application.In present study,a nanocrystal formulation of RES(RES-NCs)was developed to enhance its oral bioavailability and delivery into brain for PD treatment.RES-NCs were fabricated with hydroxypropyl methylcellulose(HPMC)stabilizer via antisolvent precipitation approach.The obtained RES-NCs displayed the particle size of 222.54±1.66 nm,the PDI of 0.125±0.035,the zeta potential of−9.41±0.37mV,and a rapid in vitro dissolution rate.Molecular dynamics simulation of RES and HPMC revealed an interaction energy of−68.09 kJ/mol and a binding energy of−30.98±0.388 kJ/mol,indicating that the spontaneous binding between the two molecules is through van der Waals forces.RES-NCs conferred enhanced cellular uptake as well as improved permeability relative to pure RES.In addition,RES-NCs were able to protect neurons against cytotoxicity induced by MPP+.Meanwhile,RES-NCs exerted no significant toxic effects on zebrafish embryos and larvae,and did not influence their survival and hatching rates.When orally administered to rats,RES-NCs exhibited more favorable pharmacokinetics than pure RES,with higher plasma and brain concentrations.More importantly,MPTP-induced PD mice showed notable improvements in behavior,attenuated dopamine deficiency,and elevated levels of dopamine and its metabolites after the treatment with RES-NCs.Furthermore,immunoblot analysis revealed that the neuroprotective role of RES-NCsmay be at least partially mediated by Akt/Gsk3βsignaling pathway.Taken altogether,RES-NCs can serve as a potential treatment modality for PD,offering means of improving RES oral bioavailability and brain accumulation. | Sha Xiong Wei Liu Yile Zhou Yousheng Mo Yao Liu Xiaojia Chen Huafeng Pan Dongsheng Yuan QiWang Tongkai Chen | 2020 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2020,15,4: | 3 |

| 19 | Design of a large-range rotary microgripper with freeform geometries using a genetic algorithm显示文摘This paper describes a novel electrostatically actuated microgripper with freeform geometries designed by a genetic algorithm.This new semiautomated design methodology is capable of designing near-optimal MEMS devices that are robust to fabrication tolerances.The use of freeform geometries designed by a genetic algorithm significantly improves the performance of the microgripper.An experiment shows that the designed microgripper has a large displacement(91.5μm)with a low actuation voltage(47.5 V),which agrees well with the theory.The microgripper has a large actuation displacement and can handle micro-objects with a size from 10 to 100μm.A grasping experiment on human hair with a diameter of 77μm was performed to prove the functionality of the gripper.The result confirmed the superior performance of the new design methodology enabling freeform geometries.This design method can also be extended to the design of many other MEMS devices. | Chen Wang Yuan Wang Weidong Fang Xiaoxiao Song Aojie Quan Michiel Gidts Hemin Zhang Huafeng Liu Jian Bai Sina Sadeghpour Michael Kraft | 2022 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,1: | 2 |
