| 2 | Translational zero-disturbance curve and its application to zero-disturbance motion planning of space manipulator system显示文摘A new motion planning method is proposed for enlarging the solvable space of zero-disturbance motion planning for the space free-floating manipulator system. First, a class of translational zero-disturbance curves is put forward for the first time. The equation of translational zero-disturbance curve is deduced using the nonholonomic constraint of the manipulator system, and its characteristics are also discussed. Second, the zero-disturbance curve of the whole operating process is divided into two segments. The first one is a translational zero-disturbance curve which passes through the target point. Another one is a common zero-disturbance curve which passes through the original point and intersects with the translational zero-disturbance curve. Finally, the common zero-disturbance curve is obtained by a hybrid programming strategy based on Gauss pseudo-spectral method (GPM) and direct shooting method (DSM). | 7 | Biodegradation of Mg-14Li alloy in simulated body fluid: A proof-of-concept study显示文摘High corrosion kinetics and localised corrosion progress are the primary concerns arising from the clinical implementation of magnesium(Mg)based implantable devices.In this study,a binary Mglithium(Li)alloy consisting a record high Li content of 14%(in weight)was employed as model material aiming to yield homogenous and slow corrosion behaviour in a simulated body fluid,i.e.minimum essential medium(MEM),in comparison to that of generic Mg alloy AZ31 and biocompatible Mg-0.5Zn-0.5Ca counterparts.Scanning electron microscopy examination reveals single-phase microstructural characteristics of Mg-14Li(b-Li),whilst the presence of insoluble phases,cathodic to a-Mg matrix,in AZ31 and Mg-0.5Zn-0.5Ca.Though slight differences exist in the corrosion kinetics of all the specimens over a short-term time scale(no longer than 60 min),as indicated by potentiodynamic polarisation and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,profound variations are apparent in terms of immersion tests,i.e.mass loss and hydrogen evolution measurements(up to 7 days).Cross-sectional micrographs unveil severe pitting corrosion in AZ31 and Mg-0.5Zn-0.5Ca,but not the case for Mg-14Li.X-ray diffraction patterns and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirm that a compact film(25 mm in thickness)consisting of lithium carbonate(Li2CO3)and calcium hydroxide was generated on the surface of Mg-14Li in MEM,which contributes greatly to its low corrosion rate.It is proposed therefore that the single-phase structure and formation of protective and defect-free Li2CO3 film give rise to the controlled and homogenous corrosion behaviour of Mg-14Li in MEM,providing new insights for the exploration of biodegradable Mg materials. | Xiao-Bo Chen Chuanqiang Li Daokui Xu | 2018 | Bioactive Materials2018,3,1: | 1 |

| 11 | How Did China Maintain Macroeconomic Stability During 1978-2018?显示文摘In this paper,we analyze the role of macroeconomic management in developing countries'economic take-off and structural transformation.We argue that developing countries face three leading challenges:market immaturity,lack of a developed financial system,and severe information asymmetry between international investors and domestic players.If not properly dealt with,these challenges can lead to macroeconomic volatility and fragility in economic development.Therefore,the government must intervene appropriately to address these challenges.By analyzing China s experiences in the era of reform and opening up(1978-2018),we find three important lessons:(i)It is important for the government to facilitate the entry and exit of enterprises in macroeconomic cycles,relying not only on market signals but also on administrative orders and measures of institutional reform;(ii)Financial reforms should be implemented in order to promote financial deepening and channel savings into investment;and(iii)The government should carefully manage capital account liberalization in order to preserve financial stability while promoting foreign investment,international trade,and industrial upgrading. | Ming Feng David Daokui Li Shuyu Wu | 2021 | China & World Economy2021,29,3: | 1 |
| 12 | Design of Multi-Coupled Laminates with Extension-Twisting Coupling for Application in Adaptive Structures显示文摘The multiple coupling of composite laminates has a unique advantage in improving the macro mechanical properties of composite structures.A total of three hygro-thermally stablemulti-coupled laminates with extensiontwisting coupling were presented,which were conducive to the formation of passive adaptive structures.Then,the multi-coupled laminates were used to design the bending-twisting coupled box structure,in which the configuration of laminate and box structure could be extended to variable cross-section configuration.The optimal design of stacking sequence was realized,the optimization objectives of which were to maximize bending-twisting coupling of box structure and extension-twisting coupling of laminate,respectively.The effects of multiple coupling on hygro-thermal stability,coupling,failure strength,buckling load,robustness and other comprehensive mechanical properties of laminates and box structures were analyzed by parametric modeling method.The results show that the extension-twisting coupling of laminate and the bending-twisting coupling of box structures can be greatly improved by 450%and 260%at maximum,respectively.Meanwhile,it would have a negative impact on the failure strength and buckling load,which,however,can be minimized by a reasonable paving method.Multicoupled laminates have good robustness,and the bending-twisting coupling helps improve robustness.Finally,the hygro-thermal stability and mechanical properties were verified by numerical simulation with finite element method. | Da Cui Daokui Li Shiming Zhou | 2022 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,1: | 0 |
