| 1 | Characterization of spontaneous otoacoustic emissions in 2–4 day old neonates with respect to gender and ear显示文摘BACKGROUND: Spontaneous otoacoustic emissions (SOAEs) are regarded as a valuable audio- metric parameter that objectively reflects the function of outer hair cells (OHCs). Many studies have reported that the incidence of SOAEs in adults is less than 50%. Therefore, measurement of SOAEs may be of little value to clinical examinations. However, the incidence of SOAEs in infants and neonates is higher than in adults. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the basic characteristics of SOAEs in 2–4 day old neonates, and to dem- onstrate the difference in OHC function between sexes and ears. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Neurophysiological contrast study, performed in the Department of Neonates, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Capital Medical University, between December 2007 and August 2008. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 112 newborns (224 ears) consisting of 59 females and 53 males were included in this study. METHODS: The probe was adapted and embedded in the neonate external auditory canal with a foam rubber earplug after checking and clearing up the outer ear canal. The presence of SOAEs was determined when the signal amplitude had a clear peak exceeding –30 dB, or was 3 dB above the noise floor. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The incidence of SOAEs, the number of SOAE signal peaks, and the maximal tension of SOAEs. RESULTS: The incidence in females (79.7%) was higher than males (76.4%) (P > 0.05), and the incidence in right ears (86.6%) was higher than in left ears (69.6%) (P < 0.05). There were no sig- nificant difference in the number of SOAE peaks between females and males (4.49 vs. 4.28), or between right ears and left ears (4.62 vs. 4.12) (P > 0.05). The mean maximum SOAE level per ear in females (–3.29 ± 9.28) dB sound pressure level (SPL) was slightly higher than that in males (–3.91 ± 9.14) dB SPL (P > 0.05). Also, the mean maximum SOAE level in right ears (–2.03 ± 9.11) dB SPL was higher than in left ears (–5.50 ± 9.65) dB SPL (P < 0.05). The maximum SOAE level showed a positive correlation with maximum SOAE number in emitting ears (r = 0.55, P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: The incidence of SOAEs in neonates is high (78.1%) within 4 days of birth. The in-cidence of SOAEs and the maximum SOAE level exhibited a significant difference between right and left ears, but the difference between sexes was insignificant. | 2 | Insight into the catalytic activity of MXenes for hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘MXenes have exhibited great potential as cost-effective electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER). However, insight into the origin of activity is still missing. Herein, on the basis of a systematical investigation of the HER performance of 20 MXenes(M_2NO_2 and M_2CO_2, M = Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo,Hf, Ta and W), a Fermi-abundance model is proposed to understand variation of the activity in different MXenes. It is found that the occupied p electronic states of surface O atoms play a decisive role in the HER activity of MXenes. More importantly, Ti_2NO_2 and Nb_2NO_2 are found to be promising HER electrocatalysts with the free energy for hydrogen adsorption close to zero. | 6 | A k-Coverage Scheduling Scheme in Wireless Sensor Network Based on Hard-Core Process in Rayleigh Fading Channel显示文摘Sensing coverage is a fundamental design issue in wireless sensor networks(WSNs),while sensor scheduling ensures coverage degree to the monitored event and extends the network lifetime.In this paper,we address k-coverage scheduling problem in dense WSNs,we maintain a connected k-coverage energy efficiently through a novel Hard-Core based Coordinated Scheduling(HCCS),in which hardcore is a thinning process in stochastic geometry that inhibits more than one active sensor covering any area redundantly in a minimum distance. As compared with existing coordinated scheduling,HCCS allows coordination between sensors with little communication overhead.Moreover,due to the traditional sensing models in k-coverage analysis is unsuitable to describe the characteristic of transmit channel in dense WSNs,we propose a novel sensing model integrating Rayleigh Fading and Distribution of Active sensors(RFDA),and derive the coverage measure and k-coverage probability for the monitored event under RFDA. In addition,we analyze the influence factors,i.e. the transmit condition and monitoring degree to the k-coverage probability. | 7 | Microdialysis in awake macaque monkeys for central nervous system pharmacokinetics显示文摘Background: The brain bioavailability of novel small molecules developed to address central nervous system disease is classically documented through ex vivo or in vivo analyses conducted in rodent models. Data acquired in rodent models are, however,not easily transferrable to human as the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics profiles of the species are quite different.Methods: Using drugs selected for their differential transport across the blood-brain barrier, we here demonstrate the feasibility of brain microdialysis in normal vigil macaque monkey by measuring brain extracellular fluid bioavailability of carbamazepine, digoxin, oxycodone, and quinidine.Results: All drugs, but digoxin, were found in dialysate samples. | 13 | Dynamic structure change of Cu nanoparticles on carbon supports for CO_(2) electro-reduction toward multicarbon products显示文摘Cu nanoparticles with different sizes,morphology,and surface structures exhibit distinct activity and selectivity toward CO_(2) reduction reaction,while the reactive sites and reaction mechanisms are very controversial in experiments.In this study,we demonstrate the dynamic structure change of Cu clusters on graphite-like carbon supports plays an important role in the multicarbon production by combining static calculations and ab-initio molecular dynamic simulations.The mobility of Cu clusters on graphite is attributed to the near-degenerate energies of various adsorption configurations,as the interaction between Cu atoms and surface C atoms is weaker than that of Cu-Cu bonds in the tight cluster form.Such structure change of Cu clusters leads to step-like irregular surface structures and appropriate interparticle distances,increasing the selectivity of multicarbon products by reducing the energy barriers of C-C coupling effectively.In contrast,the large ratio of edge and corner sites on Cu clusters is responsible for the increased catalytic activity and selectivity for CO and H_(2) compared with Cu(100)surface,instead of hydrocarbon products like methane and ethylene.The detailed study reveals that the dynamic structure change of the catalysts results in roughened surface morphologies during catalytic reactions and plays an essential role in the selectivity of CO_(2) electro-reduction,which should be paid more attention for studies on the reaction mechanisms. | Qiang Li Yehui Zhang Li Shi Mingliang Wu Yixin Ouyang Jinlan Wang | 2021 | InfoMat2021,3,11: | 1 |

| 15 | Temperature-Dependent Luminescence Characteristic of SrSi_2O_2N_2:Eu^(2+) Phosphor and Its Thermal Quenching Behavior显示文摘The yellow SrSi2O2N2:Eu2+ phosphor has been synthesized by using a simple solid-state reaction method with Srt2SiO4:Eu2 as the precursor. It shows a broad excitation band extending from 250 to 520 nm and an asymmetric emission band with a main peak at about 550 nm. The emission intensity of the SrSi22O2N2:Eut is about 1.2 times higher than the commercial yellow phosphor YAG:Ce3+(P46-Y3). The temperaturedependent luminescence characteristic of SrSi22O2N2:Euthas been investigated in this paper. With increasing temperature, the emission band of SrSi2O2N2:Eu2+ shows anomalous blue-shift along with decreasing emission intensity and the broadening full width at half maximum(FWHM). Particularly, compared with YAG:Ce3t(P46-Y3), the yellow SrSi2O2N2:Eu2+ phosphors exhibit higher thermal stability due to their weaker electron-phonon coupling strength(1.1), lower stokes shift(0.0576 eV) and larger activation energy(0.288 eV). All these results indicate that SrSi2O2N2:Eu2+ yellow phosphors have potential application for white light-emitting diodes(LEDs).
