| 1 | Short-chain fatty acids can improve lipid and glucose metabolism independently of the pig gut microbiota显示文摘Background:Previous studies have shown that exogenous short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)introduction attenuated the body fat deposition in conventional mice and pigs.However,limited studies have evaluated the effects of exogenously introduced SCFAs on the lipid and glucose metabolism independently of the gut microbiota.This study was to investigate the effects of exogenous introduction of SCFAs on the lipid and glucose metabolism in a germ-free(GF)pig model.Methods:Twelve hysterectomy-derived newborn pigs were reared in six sterile isolators.All pigs were hand-fed with sterile milk powder for 21 d,then the sterile feed was introduced to pigs for another 21 d.In the second 21-d period,six pigs were orally administrated with 25 mL/kg sterile saline per day and considered as the GF group,while the other six pigs were orally administrated with 25 mL/kg SCFAs mixture(acetic,propionic,and butyric acids,45,15,and 11 mmol/L,respectively)per day and regarded as FA group.Results:Orally administrated with SCFAs tended to increase the adiponectin concentration in serum,enhance the CPT-1 activity in longissimus dorsi,and upregulate the ANGPTL4 mRNA expression level in colon(P<0.10).Meanwhile,the mRNA abundances of ACC,FAS,and SREBP-1C in liver and CD36 in longissimus dorsi of the FA group were decreased(P<0.05)compared with those in the GF group.Besides,the mRNA expression of PGC-1αin liver and LPL in longissimus dorsi tended to(P<0.10)upregulate and downregulate respectively in the FA group.Moreover,oral administration of SCFAs tended to increase the protein level of GPR43(P<0.10)and decrease the protein level of ACC(P<0.10)in liver.Also,oral administration of SCFAs upregulated the p-AMPK/AMPK ratio and the mRNA expressions of GLUT-2 and GYS2 in liver(P<0.05).In addition,the metabolic pathway associated with the biosynthesis of unsaturated fatty acids was most significantly promoted(P<0.05)by oral administration of SCFAs.Conclusions:Exogenous introduction of SCFAs might attenuate the fat deposition and to some extent improve the glucose control in the pig model,which occurred independently of the gut microbiota. | Hua Zhou Bing Yu Jing Sun Zuohua Liu Hong Chen Liangpeng Ge Daiwen Chen | 2021 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,4: | 5 |

| 3 | Partial aortic root remodeling for root reconstruction in patients with acute type A dissection显示文摘In the present study,we reported our experience with partial aortic root remodeling for root reconstruction in patients with acute type A dissection,which involves in non-coronary sinus and/or the right coronary sinus with just one trimmed Dacron graft.Between February 2001 and May 2010,we performed partial aortic root remodeling in 40 patients,who underwent emergency surgical intervention.The dissected sinuses were excised leaving a3-5 mm rim of the aortic wall from the attached aortic valve cusps.A short piece(4-5 cm) of collagen coated woven polyester vascular prosthesis was trimmed with one or two 'tongues' to reconstruct the non-coronary sinus and/or the right coronary sinus,but without using separated patches.Additional procedures were including hemi-arch replacement in 11 patients,and total arch replacement plus stent-elephant trunk in 20 patients.The mean follow-up time was 36.4±3.6 months.In-hospital mortality was only 5.0%(2/40);furthermore,3(8.6%) patients underwent re-operation of the aortic valve and 2(5.7%) patients died during follow-up.At the end of follow-up,trivial or no aortic regurgitation was found in 33 patients,but mild aortic regurgitation was found in 2 patients.Our data suggest that the early and mid-term results of partial aortic root remodeling were favorable,and it restored valve durability and function.Thus,the use of technique for root reconstruction in patients with acute type A dissection should be vigorously encouraged. | Fuhua Huang Liangpeng Li Wei Qin Cunhua Su Liming Wang Liqiong Xiao Xin Chen | 2016 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2016,30,5: | 3 |
| 4 | Impact of the green credit policy on external financing,economic growth and energy consumption of the manufacturing industry显示文摘China attempts to achieve energy conservation,emission reduction and environmental protection through the implementation of the green credit policy,but its implementation impact is still controversial.An important content of the green credit policy is to require banking and financial institutions to tighten the credit exposure of industries of‘high pollution and high energy consumption’and industries with overcapacity,so as to use economic leverage to curb their blind expansion and reduce energy consumption by controlling external financing.This paper examined the impact and the lingering effects of the green credit policy on external financing,economic growth and energy consumption in the manufacturing industry,which was most influenced by the green credit policy,from 2003 to 2016 by using the DID method.Furthermore,this paper estimated the dynamic endogenous relationships among external financing,economic growth and energy consumption with two-step system GMM model to investigate the influential path of the green credit policy.The results showed that:the green credit policy had a significant negative impact on the external financing of manufacturing industry,but its negative impact on the economic growth and energy consumption of manufacturing industry was not statistically significant,and the effect of the green credit policy had a dynamic feature of weakening with time.Additionally,in the manufacturing industry,there was a bilateral causal relationship between the energy consumption and economic growth of the control group industry and the processing group industry.There was a bilateral causal relationship between the economic growth and external financing of the control group industries in the manufacturing industry.There was a unilateral causal relationship between the economic growth and external financing of the processing group industries in the manufacturing industry,while the external causality existed between the control group industries and the processing group industries in the manufacturing industry.The causal relationship between the financing and energy consumption was not statistically significant.At present,the transmission path of the green credit policy is that the green credit policy controls external financing,then affects economic growth and ultimately inhibits energy consumption,but the effectiveness of the path is not statistically significant.The conclusion of this paper provides policy reference and scientific basis for the adjustment and improvement of green credit. | Sheng Wu Liangpeng Wu Xianglian Zhao | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2022,20,1: | 3 |
| 5 | Screening high-quality fetal bovine serum for porcine oocyte maturation in vitro显示文摘Fetal bovine serum(FBS) is widely used in cell cultures due to its high stability and easy access. It was also used as a substitute for porcine follicular fluid(PFF) in previous studies. However, FBS components are unclear, and the presence of FBS in culture media may introduce a variation from batch to batch. This study aimed to establish an effective method to screen FBS in place of PFF in the culture media for porcine oocytes in vitro. We screened FBS from different sources by using porcine fetal fibroblast cells. The effects of six FBS samples on porcine fetal fibroblast cell growth were tested via frozen cell survival assay, cell clone formation assay, cell growth curve, and cell passage activity assay. The best serum that we called GFBS(heat-inactivated FBS, cat. no. 10500-64;Gibco) showed a similar effect on the maturation and development of porcine oocytes to that of PFF and can be used as a good substitute for PFF. | 6 | Multistage exhumation and partial melting of high-T ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic rocks in continental subduction-collision zones显示文摘High-temperature(HT, >850℃) metamorphism in continental collision orogens, particularly for those ultrahigh-pressure(UHP) metamorphic rocks, has become one of the remarkable topics in Earth science. It has bearing on the element and isotope behaviors of UHP rocks, their partial melting and related geodynamic effects during exhumation. In this paper, five representative continental collision orogens with typical HT/UHP rocks, including the Dabie orogen in China, the Kokchetav in Kazakhstan, the Caledonides in Greenland, the Rhodope in Greece, and the Erzgebirge in Germany are introduced, and their HT/UHP metamorphism and evolution processes are summarized. In addition, metamorphic P-T-t paths, multistage exhumation processes, and partial melting and preservation and retrogression of UHP index minerals during exhumation and their possible mechanisms are discussed. | 7 | Statistical Estimation of High-Resolution Surface Air Temperature from MODIS over the Yangtze River Delta,China显示文摘High-resolution surface air temperature data are critical to regional climate modeling in terms of energy balance,urban climate change,and so on.This study demonstrates the feasibility of using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)land surface temperature(LST)to estimate air temperature at a high resolution over the Yangtze River Delta region,China.It is found that daytime LST is highly correlated with maximum air temperature,and the linear regression coefficients vary with the type of land surface.The air temperature at a resolution of 1 km is estimated from the MODIS LST with linear regression models.The estimated air temperature shows a clear spatial structure of urban heat islands.Spatial patterns of LST and air temperature differences are detected,indicating maximum differences over urban and forest regions during summer.Validations are performed with independent data samples,demonstrating that the mean absolute error of the estimated air temperature is approximately 2.5°C,and the uncertainty is about 3.1°C,if using all valid LST data.The error is reduced by 0.4°C(15%)if using best-quality LST with errors of less than 1 K.The estimated high-resolution air temperature data have great potential to be used in validating high-resolution climate models and other regional applications. | Yi SHI Zhihong JIANG Liangpeng DONG Suhung SHEN | 2017 | Journal of Meteorological Research2017,31,2: | 2 |
| 8 | Data envelopment analysis procedure with two non-homogeneous DMU groups显示文摘The classic data envelopment analysis(DEA) model is used to evaluate decision-making units'(DMUs) efficiency under the assumption that all DMUs are evaluated with the same criteria setting. Recently, new researches begin to focus on the efficiency analysis of non-homogeneous DMU arose by real practices such as the evaluation of departments in a university, where departments argue for the adoption of different criteria based on their disciplinary characteristics. A DEA procedure is proposed in this paper to address the efficiency analysis of two non-homogeneous DMU groups. Firstly, an analytical framework is established to compromise diversified input and output(IO) criteria from two nonhomogenous groups. Then, a criteria fusion operation is designed to obtain different DEA analysis strategies. Meanwhile, Friedman test is introduced to analyze the consistency of all efficiency results produced by different strategies. Next, ordered weighted averaging(OWA) operators are applied to integrate different information to reach final conclusions. Finally, a numerical example is used to illustrate the proposed method.
