| 1 | Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome-related herbal prescriptions in treatment of malignant tumors显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes and the related herbal prescriptions for malignant tumors (MT). METHODS: A clinical database of the TCM syndromes and the herbal prescriptions in treatment of 136 MT patients were established. The data were then analyzed using cluster and frequency analysis. RESULTS: According to the cluster analysis, the TCM syndromes in MT patients mainly included two patterns: deficiency of both Qi and Yin and internal accumulation of toxic heat. The commonly-prescribed herbs were Huangqi (Astraglus), Nüzhen-zi (Fructus Ligustri Lucidi), Lingzhi (Ganoderma Lucidum), Huaishan (Dioscorea Opposita), Xiakucao (Prunella Vulgaris), and Baihuasheshecao (Herba Hedyotidis). CONCLUSION: Deficiency of Qi and Yin is the primary syndrome of MT, and internal accumulation of toxic heat is the secondary syndrome. | 19 | A positive feedback regulation of SnRK1 signaling by autophagy in plants显示文摘SnRK1,an evolutionarily conserved heterotrimeric kinase complex that acts as a key metabolic sensor in maintaining energy homeostasis in plants,is an important upstream activator of autophagy that serves as a cellular degradation mechanism for the healthy growth of plants.However,whether and how the autophagy pathway is involved in regulating SnRK1 activity remains unknown.In this study,we identified a clade of plant-specific and mitochondria-localized Fcs-like zinc finger(FLZ)proteins as currently unknown ATG8-interacting partners that actively inhibit SnRK1 signaling by repressing the T-loop phosphorylation of the catalyticαsubunits of SnRK1,thereby negatively modulating autophagy and plant tolerance to energy deprivation caused by long-term carbon starvation.Interestingly,these AtFLZs are transcriptionally repressed by low-energy stress,and AtFLZ proteins undergo a selective autophagy-dependent pathway to be delivered to the vacuole for degradation,thereby constituting a positive feedback regulation to relieve their repression of SnRK1 signaling.Bioinformatic analyses show that the ATG8-FLZ-SnRK1 regulatory axis first appears in gymnosperms and seems to be highly conserved during the evolution of seed plants.Consistent with this,depletion of ATG8-interacting ZmFLZ14 confers enhanced tolerance,whereas overexpression of ZmFLZ14 leads to reduced tolerance to energy deprivation in maize.Collectively,our study reveals a previously unknown mechanism by which autophagy contributes to the positive feedback regulation of SnRK1 signaling,thereby enabling plants to better adapt to stressful environments. | Chao Yang Xibao Li Lianming Yang Shunquan Chen Jun Liao Kailin Li Jun Zhou Wenjin Shen Xiaohong Zhuang Mingyi Bai Diane CBassham Caiji Gao | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,7: | 0 |
| 20 | Interfacial engineering of atomic platinum-doped molybdenum carbide quantum dots for high-rate and stable hydrogen evolution reaction in proton exchange membrane water electrolysis显示文摘Platinum(Pt)-based electrocatalysts remain the only practical cathode catalysts for proton exchange membrane water electrolysis(PEMWE),due to their excellent catalytic activity for acidic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),but are greatly limited by their low reserves and high cost.Here,we report an interfacial engineering strategy to obtain a promising low-Pt loading catalyst with atomically Pt-doped molybdenum carbide quantum dots decorated on conductive porous carbon(Pt-MoCx@C)for high-rate and stable HER in PEMWE.Benefiting from the strong interfacial interaction between Pt atoms and the ultra-small MoCx quantum dots substrate,the Pt-MoCx catalyst exhibits a high mass activity of 8.00 A·mgPt−1,5.6 times higher than that of commercial 20 wt.%Pt/C catalyst.Moreover,the strong interfacial coupling of Pt and MoCx substrate greatly improves the HER stability of the Pt-MoCx catalyst.Density functional theory studies further confirm the strong metal-support interaction on Pt-MoCx,the critical role of MoCx substrate in the stabilization of surface Pt atoms,as well as activation of MoCx substrate by Pt atoms for improving HER durability and activity.The optimized Pt-MoCx@C catalyst demonstrates>2000 h stability under a water-splitting current of 1000 mA·cm^(−2)when applied to the cathode of a PEM water electrolyzer,suggesting the potential for practical applications. | Lulu Chen Yichao Huang Yanping Ding Ping Yu Fang Huang Wenbo Zhou Limin Wang Yangyang Jiang Haitao Li Hanqing Cai Lin Wang Hang Wang Meihong Liao Lianming Zhao Zhuangjun Fan | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,10: | 0 |
