1Estimation and prediction of plastic waste annual input into the sea from China显示文摘Marine plastic debris has been a pervasive issue since the last century, and research on its sources and fates plays a vital role in the establishment of mitigation measures. However, data on the quantity of plastic waste that enters the sea on a certain timescale remain largely unavailable in China. Here, we established a model using material flow analysis method based on life cycle assessment to follow plastic product from primary plastic to plastic waste with statistical data and monitoring data from accurate sources. This model can be used to estimate and forecast the annual input of plastic waste into the sea from China until 2020. In 2011, 0.547 3–0.751 5 million tons of plastic waste entered the seas in China, with a growth rate of 4.55% per year until 2017. And the amount will decrease to0.257 1 to 0.353 1 million tons in 2020 under the influence of governmental management. 2Integrated biomarkers in wild crucian carp for early warning of water quality in Hun River, North China显示文摘Metabolizing enzymes play important roles in the detoxification of various pollutants in aquatic organisms, thereby they can also be used to provide early-warning signals of environmental risks. Real-time quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction assays were developed to quantify cytochrome P450 1A(CYP1A), superoxide dismutase(SOD), glutathione peroxidase(GPx), catalase(CAT), and glutathione-S-transferase(GST) in crucian carp(Carassius auratus). The methods were then used to detect the respective mRNA expression levels in liver tissue in wild crucian carp from the Hun River, North China. CYP1A mRNA expression was significantly up-regulated in fish from stations S5, S6, and S8(p < 0.05). SOD mRNA expression was significantly down-regulated in downstream areas relative to fish from upstream sites(p < 0.05); GPx and CAT mRNA expression levels were also down-regulated at S9(p < 0.05). In contrast, GST mRNA expression showed no obvious change between fish collected from up- or downstream areas of the river. 4Assessing the Eutrophication of Shengzhong Reservoir Based on Grey Clustering Method显示文摘Reservoir water environment is a grey system. The grey clustering method is applied to assessing the reservoir water environment to establish a relatively complete model suitable for the reservoir eutrophication evaluation and appropriately evaluate the quality of reservoir water, providing evidence for reservoir management. According to China's lakes and reservoir eutrophication criteria and the characteristics of China's eutrophication, as well as certain evaluation indices, the degree of eutrophication is classified into six categories with the utilization of grey classified whitening weight function to represent the boundaries of classification, to determine the clustering weight and clustering coefficient of each index in grey classifications, and the classification of each clustering object. The comprehensive evaluation of reservoir eutrophication is established on such a foundation, with Sichuan Shengzhong Reservoir as the survey object and the analysis of the data attained by several typical monitoring points there in 2006. It is found that eutrophication of Tiebian Power Generation Station, Guoyuanchang and Dashiqiao Bridge is the heaviest, Tielusi and Qinggangya the second, and Lijiaba the least. The eutrophication of this reservoir is closely relevant to the irrational exploitation in its surrounding areas, especially to the aggravation of the non-point source pollution and the increase of net-culture fishing. 5Occurrence, variations, and risk assessment of neonicotinoid insecticides in Harbin section of the Songhua River, northeast China显示文摘Neonicotinoid insecticides(NNIs)have been intensively used and exploited,resulting in their presence and accumulation in multiple environmental media.We herein investigated the current levels of eight major NNIs in the Harbin section of the Songhua River in northeast China,providing the first systematic report on NNIs in this region.At least four NNIs in water and three in sediment were detected,with total concentrations ranging from 30.8 to 135 ng L^(-1) and from 0.61 to 14.7 ng g^(-1) dw,respectively.Larger spatial variations in surface water NNIs concentrations were observed in tributary than mainstream(p<0.05)due to the intensive human activities(e.g.,horticulture,urban landscaping,and household pet flea control)and the discharge of wastewater from many treatment plants.There was a significant positive correlation(p<0.05)between the concentrations of residual imidacloprid(IMI),clothianidin(CLO),and S4NNIs in the sediment and total organic carbon(TOC).Due to its high solubility and low octanol-water partition coefficient(Kow),the sediment-water exchange behavior shows that NNIs in sediments can re-enter into the water body.Human exposure risk was assessed using the relative potency factor(RPF),which showed that infants have the highest exposure risk(estimated daily intake(SIMIeq EDI):31.9 ng kg^(-1) bw$d^(-1)).The concentration thresholds of NNIs for aquatic organisms in the Harbin section of the Songhua River were determined using the species sensitivity distribution(SSD)approach,resulting in a value of 355 ng L^(-1) for acute hazardous concentration for 5%of species(HC5)and 165 ng L^(-1) for chronic HC5.Aquatic organisms at low trophic levels were more vulnerable to potential harm from NNIs.Zhikun Liu Song Cui Leiming Zhang Zulin Zhang Rupert Hough Qiang Fu Yi-Fan Li Lihui An Mingzhi Huang Kunyang Li Yuxin Ke Fuxiang Zhang 2021Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2021,,4:2

8Synergistic Interfacial and Doping Engineering of Heterostructured NiCo(OH)_(x)-Co_(y)W as an Efficient Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution Electrocatalyst显示文摘To achieve high efficiency of water electrolysis to produce hydrogen(H_(2)),developing non-noble metal-based catalysts with consid-erable performance have been considered as a crucial strategy,which is correlated with both the interphase properties and multi-metal synergistic effects.Herein,as a proof of concept,a delicate NiCo(OH)_(x)-CoyW catalyst with a bush-like heterostructure was realized via gas-template-assisted electrodeposition,followed by an electrochemical etching-growth process,which ensured a high active area and fast gas release kinetics for a superior hydrogen evolution reaction,with an overpotential of 21 and 139 mV at 10 and 500 mA cm^(−2),respectively.Physical and electrochemical analyses demonstrated that the synergistic effect of the NiCo(OH)_(x)-Co_(y)W heteroge-neous interface resulted in favorable electron redistribution and faster electron transfer efficiency.The amorphous NiCo(OH)_(x) strengthened the water dissociation step,and metal phase of CoW provided sufficient sites for moderate H immediate adsorption/H_(2) desorption.In addition,NiCo(OH)_(x)-CoyW exhibited desirable urea oxidation reaction activity for matching H_(2) generation with a low voltage of 1.51 V at 50 mA cm^(−2).More importantly,the synthesis and testing of the NiCo(OH)_(x)-CoyW catalyst in this study were all solar-powered,sug-gesting a promising environmentally friendly process for practical applications.Ruopeng Li Hao Xu Peixia Yang Dan Wang Yun Li Lihui Xiao Xiangyu Lu Bo Wang Jinqiu Zhang Maozhong An 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,8:1
9Investigation on the Changing Characteristics of Flow-Induced Noise in a Centrifugal Pump显示文摘Centrifugal pumps are widely used in engineering for a variety of applications.A known drawback of these devices is the high-level noise generated during operations,which can affect their stability and adversely influence the entire working environment.By combining the Powell vortex sound theory,numerical simulations and experimental measurements,this research explores the trends of variation and the corresponding underlying mechanisms for the flow-induced noise at various locations and under different operating conditions.It is shown that the total sound source intensity(TSSI)and total sound pressure level(TSPL)in the impeller,in the region between the inlet to the outlet and along the circumferential extension of the volute,are much higher than those at pump inlet and outlet.Additionally,under various rotational speeds with the design flow rate(Condition 1),the TSSI and TSPL at pump inlet and outlet are higher than those obtained with the opening of the valve kept unchanged(Condition 2);vice versa when these two parameters are evaluated at various locations in the impeller and the volute under the Condition 2,they exceed the equivalent values obtained for the other Condition 1.Guanpeng Li Lihui Sun Zhaoyang Wang Chunguo An Chang Guo Shen Cheng Ming Gao 2021Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2021,17,5:0
10Development and identification of two novel wheat-rye 6R derivative lines with adult-plant resistance to powdery mildew and high-yielding potential显示文摘Powdery mildew,caused by Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritici(Bgt),is a devastating disease that seriously threatens wheat yield and quality.To control this disease,host resistance is the most effective measure.Compared with the resistance genes from common wheat,alien resistance genes can better withstand infection of this highly variable pathogen.Development of elite alien germplasm resources with powdery mildew resistance and other key breeding traits is an attractive strategy in wheat breeding.In this study,three wheat-rye germplasm lines YT4-1,YT4-2,and YT4-3 were developed through hybridization between octoploid triticale and common wheat,out of which the lines YT4-1 and YT4-2 conferred adult-plant resistance(APR)to powdery mildew while the line YT4-3 was susceptible to powdery mildew during all of its growth stages.Using genomic in situ hybridization,multi-color fluorescence in situ hybridization,multi-color GISH,and molecular marker analysis,YT4-1,YT4-2,and YT4-3 were shown to be cytogenetically stable wheat-rye 6R addition and T1RS.1BL translocation line,6RL ditelosomic addition and T1RS.1BL translocation line,and T1RS.1BL translocation line,respectively.Compared with previously reported wheat-rye derivative lines carrying chromosome 6R,YT4-1 and YT4-2 showed stable APR without undesirable pleiotropic effects on agronomic traits.Therefore,these novel wheat-rye 6R derivative lines are expected to be promising bridge resources in wheat disease breeding.Guohao Han Jing Wang Hanwen Yan Tiantian Gu Lijun Cao Shiyu Liu Xiuquan Li Yilin Zhou Jieru Fan Zhipeng Shi Hong Liu Lihui Li Diaoguo An 2024The Crop Journal2024,12,1:0
