| 1 | Optimization and control of a reactive distillation process for the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate显示文摘Dimethyl carbonate is an environmentally benign and biodegradable chemical.Based on integration of reactive distillation and pressure-swing distillation technologies,a novel process for synthesis of dimethyl carbonate through transesterification with propylene carbonate and methanol has been developed by Huang et al.In this work,the optimization of this process was performed by minimizing the total TAC.The results show that the optimal design flowsheet can save energy consumption by 18.6% with the propylene carbonate conversion of 99.9%.Then,an effective plant-wide control structure for the process was developed.Dynamic simulation results demonstrate that the temperature/flow rate cascade control plus with simple temperature control can keep not only product purity but also the conversion of the reactant at their desired values in the face of the disturbance in reactant feed flow rate and feed composition. | Zhixian Huang Yixiong Lin Xiaoda Wang Changshen Ye Ling Li | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,8: | 8 |
| 2 | Preparation and shaping of solid acid SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2 and its application for esterification of propylene glycol monomethyl ether and acetic acid显示文摘The solid acid SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2 was prepared by immersion method and applied for synthesis of propylene glycol methyl ether acetate(PMA) through esterification reaction of propylene glycol monomethyl ether(PM)and acetic acid(HAc). The optimal catalyst preparation condition was determined by orthogonal analysis of parameters in a five-factor and four-level test. The obtained solid acid catalysts were characterized in detail by means of X-ray powder diffraction, thermogravimetry, pyridine adsorbed IR analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and BET surface area method. Synthesis of PMA was studied in this paper through experimental investigation of reaction conditions such as temperature, molar ratio of reactants, catalyst dosage and agitation speed. Based on its possible reaction mechanism, a pseudo-homogeneous kinetic model was established and its activation energies E_a^+ and E_a^-,65.68 × 10~3J·mol^(-1) and 57.78 × 10~3J·mol^(-1), were estimated. To prepare shaped solid acid catalyst SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2, the shaping method of impregnation–shaping–impregnation was applied. | 4 | PML contributes to p53-independent p21 up-regulation in gamma-irradiation induced DNA damage responses显示文摘The cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21 WAF1/Cip1 is a critical cell cycle regulator which translocates into the nucleus to participate in DNA repair during DNA damage responses. In the present study, we showed that the tumor suppressor, promyelocytic leukemia protein (PML) contributes to the up-regulation of p21 in a p53-independent pathway. Knock-down of PML in p53-null H1299 and HCT 116 (p53 –/– ) tumor cells by specific siRNA resulted in down-regulation of p21 protein expression, inhibition of -irradiation-induced p21 up-regulation, and a decrease in p21 protein half-life. In PML knockdown H1299 cells, the down-regulation of p21 protein expression was reversed by MG132 treatment indicating that the proteasomal degradation of p21 protein was increased. Thus, PML positively regulates p21 expression by inhibiting proteasome-mediated proteolysis. Knockdown of PML decreased the repair of -irradiation-induced double strand breaks (DSBs) as indicated by the delayed disappearance of -H2AX foci and a decreased association between p21 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). Over-expression of p21 significantly restored the delayed DSB repair function. | 5 | Decoding effects of psychoactive drugs in a high-dimensional space of eye movements in monkeys显示文摘Oculomotor behavior has been shown to be correlated with mental disorders in clinics,making it promising for disease diagnosis.Here we developed a thorough oculomotor test toolkit,involving saccade,smooth pursuit,and fixation,allowing the examination of multiple oculomotor parameters in monkey models induced by psychoactive drugs.Eye movements were recorded after daily injections of phencyclidine(PCP)(3.0 mg/kg),ketamine(0.8 mg/kg)or controlled saline in two macaque monkeys.Both drugs led to robust reduction in accuracy and increment in reaction time during high cognitive-demanding tasks.Saccades,smooth pursuit,and fixation stability were also significantly impaired.During fixation,the involuntary microsaccades exhibited increased amplitudes and were biased toward the lower visual field.Pupillary response was reduced during cognitive tasks.Both drugs also increased sensitivity to auditory cues as reflected in auditory evoked potentials(AEPs).Thus,our animal model induced by psychoactive drugs produced largely similar abnormalities to that in patients with schizophrenia.Importantly,a classifier based on dimension reduction and machine learning could reliably identify altered states induced by different drugs(PCP,ketamine and saline,accuracy=93%).The high performance of the classifier was reserved even when data from one monkey were used for training and testing the other subject(averaged classification accuracy=90%).Thus,despite heterogeneity in baseline oculomotor behavior between the two monkeys,our model allows data transferability across individuals,which could be beneficial for future evaluation of pharmaceutical or physical therapy validity. | Xu Liu Zhixian Cheng He Lin Jiangxiu Tan Wenyao Chen Yichuan Bao Ying Liu Lei Zhong Yitian Yao Liping Wang Jijun Wang Yong Gu | 2023 | National Science Review2023,10,11: | 1 |

| 9 | Irreversible Electroporation for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Abutting the Diaphragm:A Prospective Single-center Study显示文摘Background and Aims:Irreversible electroporation(IRE)is an emerging local ablation therapy which may be effective for unresectable tumors.This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of percutaneous IRE in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)abutting the diaphragm.Methods:A total of 26 participants with 39 tumors abutting the diaphragm were prospectively evaluated between July 2015 and September 2018.Complications associated with IRE were recorded,and the survival benefit of IRE was analyzed.The factors associated with time to local tumor progression(LTP)were analyzed using univariate and multivariate Cox regression models.Results:No major complications or treatmentrelated deaths occurred.The technical success rate was 96.2%(25/26)and complete ablation rate was 92.3%(36/39).The median followup period was 16.7 months(range:3.0-43.0 months),the LTP occurred in 15.2%of tumors and median time to LTP was 20.4 months.Overall,tumor size(hazard ratio:1.24[95%confidence interval:0.38,3.81],p=0.03)was the only factor associated with time to LTP.Conclusions:This study shows for the first time that percutaneous IRE is a safe and effective ablation technology for HCC abutting the diaphragm. | Yangyang Ma Zhixian Chen Bing Liang Rongrong Li Jianyu Li Zhonghai Li Mao Lin Lizhi Niu | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,2: | 0 |
| 10 | Paper‑like Polyphenylene Sulfide/Aramid Fiber Electrode with Excellent Areal Capacitance and Flame‑Retardant Performance显示文摘In this paper,an aramid chopped fiber,so-called(ACF)/polyphenylene sulfide(PPS)composite,containing multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT),and in situ polymerized polypyrrole(PPy)was designed and fabricated,to be applied as a paper based electrode.The ACF/PPS/MWCNT-PPy electrode features highly porous paper-like structure with excel-lent electrochemical activity,rendering it a high areal capacitance of~3205 mF cm^(-2) at a current density of 5 mA cm^(-2).After 5000 charge-discharge cycles,the areal capacitance still maintains 93%and 70%at high current densities of 20 and 80 mA cm^(-2),respectively.Moreover,the ACF/PPS/MWCNT-PPy electrode displays over 50%the areal capacitance and maintains it's mechanical stability after annealing at 300℃.The UL-94 test reveals that the highest V-0 flame-retardant performance can be achieved.All these results suggest that the ACF/PPS/MWCNT-PPy composite is a promising material to be used as electrode for supercapacitor with high energy-storage capability and noninflammability. | Yan Yu Diankun Pan Liang Zhao Shiqi Huang Panlong Lin Zhixian Wang Yingbin Jia Hua Wang Luoxin Wang | 2022 | Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,5: | 0 |
