1Analysis of genetic architecture and favorable allele usage of agronomic traits in a large collection of Chinese rice accessions显示文摘Genotyping and phenotyping large natural populations provide opportunities for population genomic analysis and genome-wide association studies(GWAS). Several rice populations have been re-sequenced in the past decade;however, many major Chinese rice cultivars were not included in these studies. Here, we report large-scale genomic and phenotypic datasets for a collection mainly comprised of 1,275 rice accessions of widely planted cultivars and parental hybrid rice lines from China. The population was divided into three indica/Xian and three japonica/Geng phylogenetic subgroups that correlate strongly with their geographic or breeding origins. We acquired a total of 146 phenotypic datasets for 29 agronomic traits under multi-environments for different subpopulations. With GWAS, we identified a total of 143 significant association loci, including three newly identified candidate genes or alleles that control heading date or amylose content. Our genotypic analysis of agronomically important genes in the population revealed that many favorable alleles are underused in elite accessions, suggesting they may be used to provide improvements in future breeding efforts. 2Dynamic characteristics of lime-treated expansive soil under cyclic loading显示文摘To better understand the dynamic properties of expansive clay treated with lime, a series of laboratory tests were conducted using a dynamic triaxial test system. The influential factors, including moisture content, confining pressure, vibration frequency, consolidation ratio, and cycle number on the dynamic characteristics were discussed. Experimental results indicate that specimens at low moisture contents tend to damage along the 30° shear plane and they present brittle failure, while saturated specimens show swelling phenomenon and plastic failure. A reduction in cohesion has been observed for unsaturated samples at large number of cycles, while it is opposite for the internal friction angle. 3Effects of sample dimensions and shapes on measuring soil-water characteristic curves using pressure plate显示文摘It is well known that soilewater characteristic curve(SWCC) plays an important role in unsaturated soil mechanics, but the measurement of SWCC is inconvenient. In laboratory it requires days of testing time.For fine-grained clays, it may last for a couple of months using pressure plate tests. In this study, the effects of sample dimensions and shapes on the balance time of measuring SWCCs using pressure plate tests and the shape of SWCCs are investigated. It can be found that the sample dimensions and shapes have apparent influence on the balance time. The testing durations for circular samples with smaller diameters and annular samples with larger contact area are significantly shortened. However, there is little effect of sample dimensions and shapes on the shape of SWCCs. Its mechanism is explored and discussed in details through analysing the principle of pressure plate tests and microstructure of the sample. 4Chelerythrine chloride from Macleaya cordata induces growth inhibition and apoptosis in human gastric cancer BGC-823 cells显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the ability of chelerythrine chloride(CHE),the main active ingredient of Macleaya cordata,to induce apoptosis in human gastric cancer BGC-823 cells.The results demonstrate that CHE inhibits cell proliferation in a time-and dose-dependent manner with accompanying S phase arrest.It also induces apoptosis by a mechanism involving a reduction in the mitochondrial mem brane potential,the release of cytochrome c,activation of caspase 3 and cleavage of poly-ADP-ribose polymerase.In addition,CHE-induced apoptosis is accompanied by down-regulation of Bcl-x1 and Bcl-2 proteins with no change in the levels of Bax proteins.Taken together,the results support the development of CHE as a potentially useful anticancer drug for the treatment of gastric cancer.Zhengfu Zhang Ying Guo Lingwei Zhang Jianbin Zhang Xionghui Wei 2012Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,5:7
5Effects of physical properties on electrical conductivity of compacted lateritic soil显示文摘Natural soils of various types have different electrical properties due to the composition,structure,water content,and temperature.In order to investigate the electrical properties of lateritic soil,electrical conductivity experiments have been conducted on a self-developed testing device.Test results show that the electrical conductivity of laterite increases with the increase of water content,degree of saturation and dry density.When the water content is below the optimum water content,the electrical conductivity of soils increases nonlinearly and the variation rate increases dramatically.However,when the water content,degree of saturation,or dry density increases to a certain value,the electrical conductivity tends to be a constant.In addition,soil electrical conductivity increases with the increase of temperature,and it is observed that the electrical conductivity decreases with the increase of the number of wetting–drying cycles.Wei Bai Lingwei Kong Aiguo Guo 2013Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2013,5,5:7
6Structural characteristic and formation mechanism of hemihydrate calcium sulfate whiskers prepared using FGD gypsum显示文摘Hemihydrate calcium sulfate whiskers(HH-CSWs)were hydrothermally synthesized in a sulfuric acid solution at 120℃ for different holding times(20,40,and 60 min).The phase structures and morphologies were characterized by XRD and SEM,respectively.The XRD pattern of the sample under 60 min was refined via the Rietveld fitting method.The structure models of the HH-CSW sample under a 60-min holding time was established based on Rietveld fitting results.No difference in the positions of diffraction peaks was determined.The as-prepared holding time increased the intensity and aspect ratio of the diffraction peaks of both samples.In the prepared HH-CSW structure,Ca-O polyhedron is a 12-sided polyhedron similar to that in the gypsum structure;the Ca atom is located in two positions in the one-unit cell;the H_(2)O channel along the c-axis similar is O-shaped and bigger than that in hexagonal and monoclinic CaSO_(4)·0.5H_(2)O structures.Therefore,although the prepared HH-CSW crystals’structure are similar to that of the reported hexagonal and monoclinic CaSO_(4)·0.5H_(2)O structures,they are not the same.The formation mechanism of HH-CSW from flue gas desulfurization(FGD)gypsum is discussed based on the analysis of gypsum structure.Xiaoting Zhang Lingwei Ran Xiao Wang Biao Jin Jianwu Zhang Shanying Li Liushuan Yang 2022Particuology2022,20,3:7
7Effects of dry-wet cycles on three-dimensional pore structure and permeability characteristics of granite residual soil using X-ray micro computed tomography显示文摘Due to seasonal climate alterations,the microstructure and permeability of granite residual soil are easily affected by multiple dry-wet cycles.The X-ray micro computed tomography(micro-CT)acted as a nondestructive tool for characterizing the microstructure of soil samples exposed to a range of damage levels induced by dry-wet cycles.Subsequently,the variations of pore distribution and permeability due to drywet cycling effects were revealed based on three-dimensional(3D)pore distribution analysis and seepage simulations.According to the results,granite residual soils could be separated into four different components,namely,pores,clay,quartz,and hematite,from micro-CT images.The reconstructed 3D pore models dynamically demonstrated the expanding and connecting patterns of pore structures during drywet cycles.The values of porosity and connectivity are positively correlated with the number of dry-wet cycles,which were expressed by exponential and linear functions,respectively.The pore volume probability distribution curves of granite residual soil coincide with the χ^(2)distribution curve,which verifies the effectiveness of the assumption of χ^(2)distribution probability.The pore volume distribution curves suggest that the pores in soils were divided into four types based on their volumes,i.e.micropores,mesopores,macropores,and cracks.From a quantitative and visual perspective,considerable small pores are gradually transformed into cracks with a large volume and a high connectivity.Under the action of dry-wet cycles,the number of seepage flow streamlines which contribute to water permeation in seepage simulation increases distinctly,as well as the permeability and hydraulic conductivity.The calculated hydraulic conductivity is comparable with measured ones with an acceptable error margin in general,verifying the accuracy of seepage simulations based on micro-CT results.Ran An Lingwei Kong Xianwei Zhang Chengsheng Li 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,3:7
8Microstructure and Properties of ZL101 Alloy Affected by Substrate Movement Speed of a Novel Semisolid Continuous Micro Fused-Casting for Metal Process显示文摘A novel semisolid continuous Micro Fused-Casting additive manufacturing technology for producing a ZL101 alloy strip was developed, Micro Fused-Casting means that the semisolid metal slurry was pressed out from the outlet of bottom of crucible to the movable plate. The degree of sub-cooling was easily provided by movement of substrate in the micro fused-casting area. Under the aid of 3 D manufacturing software, the ZL101 alloy strip was solidified and formed layer by layer. The microstructure and properties of ZL101 semisolid slurry were improved by the cooling conditions. 9Molecular characteristics of three thymosin-repeat proteins from Marsupenaeus japonicus and their responses to WSSV infection显示文摘β-thymosins, a family of highly conserved peptides, play a vital role in wound-healing, angiogenesis,antimicrobial process and antiviral immunity. Three novel β-thymosin-repeat proteins, named mjthm4, mjthm3 and mjthm2, were cloned from Marsupenaeus japonicus using expressed sequence tags(EST) from suppression subtractive hybridization. The mjthm4, mjthm3 and mjthm2 c DNAs possessed open reading frames that encoded166, 128 and 90 amino acid residue polypeptides and contained four, three and two β-thymosin actin binding modules, respectively. Blast analysis demonstrated that mjthm4, mjthm3 and mjthm2 shared high homology with known invertebrate multi-repeat β-thymosins. These proteins are ubiquitously expressed in all of the examined tissues, and the transcriptional levels were highest in the intestine. Further investigation revealed that mjthm4,mjthm3 and mjthm2 were remarkably up-regulated 6 h after WSSV infection. Moreover, while mjthm4 transcriptional levels displayed no changes, mjthm3 and mjthm2 levels decreased in the virus-resistant shrimps.The results indicate that mjthm4, mjthm3 and mjthm2 are novel multi-repeat β-thymosin homologues, have a close relationship with WSSV infection, and might contribute to a better understanding of host defense and/or virus invasion interactions in shrimps.MA Jinyou RUAN Lingwei XU Xun GAO Zhaoming 2016Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,4:5
10Enhanced magnetic properties in chemically inhomogeneous Nd-Dy-Fe-B sintered magnets by multi-main-phase process显示文摘Homogeneous substitution of Dy for Nd in the hard magnetic 2:14:1 phase can effectively enhance coercivity to ensure the high temperature operation,however,inevitably deteriorate remanence at expense.In this work,we performed a comparative investigation of the two magnets prepared by multimain-phase(co-sintering Nd_(2)Fe_(14)B and(Nd,Dy)_(2)Fe_(14)B powders)and single-main-phase(sintering(Nd,Dy)_(2)Fe_(14)B powders)approaches.The comparative investigation reveals that at the same Dy substitution level(2.16 wt%),such chemically inhomogeneous multi-main-phase magnet possesses better roomtemperature magnetic properties as well as thermal stability than those of the single-main-phase one with homogenous Dy distribution in the matrix grains.Room-temperature magnetic properties H_(Cj)=1664 kA/m,B_(r)=1.33 T and(BH)_(max)=350.4 kJ/m^(3)for the multi-main-phase magnet are all better than those for the single-main-phase magnet with H_(Cj)=1536 kA/m,B_(r)=1.29 T and(BH)_(max)=318.4 kj/m^(3).In addition,over the temperature range from 295 to 423 K,both the temperature coefficients of coercivity and remanence for the multi-main-phase magnet are also lower than that for the single-main-phase magnet.Such superior magnetic performance is attributed to the short-range magnetic interactions inside individual 2:14:1 phase grains and the long-range magnetostatic interactions between adjacent grains with inhomogeneous Dy distribution.Our work provides a feasible approach of enhancing coercivity and retaining energy product simultaneously in the Nd-Dy-Fe-B permanent magnets.Xiaolian Liu Mengjie Pan Pei Zhang Tianyu Ma Lizhong Zhao Lingwei Li 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,5:5
11Numerical Simulation of Characteristics of CEX Ions in Ion Thruster Optical System显示文摘Charge exchange(CEX) ions could inflict severe damages on the ion thruster optical system.This article is aimed at investigating the characteristics of the CEX ions and their influences upon the optical system by means of particle-incell(PIC) ion simulation and Monte Carlo collision(MCC) methods.The results from numerical simulation indicate that despite the fact that CEX ions appear in the entire beamlet region near the ion optical system,the ones that present themselves downstream of the accelerator grid have good reason for attracting more attention.As their trajectories are significantly affected by the local electric field,a great number of CEX ions are accelerated toward grids resulting in sputtering erosion.When the influences of the CEX ions are considered in the numerical simulation,there could hardly be observed augments in the screen grid current,but the accelerator grid current increases from zero to 1.4% of the beamlet current.It can be understood from the numerical simulation that the CEX ions formed in the region far downstream of the accelerator grid should be blamed for the erosion on the downstream surface of the accelerator grid.Zhong Lingwei Liu Yu Li Juan Gu Zuo Jiang Haocheng Wang Haixing Tang Haibin 2010Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2010,23,1:5
12Amoxicillin effects on functional microbial community and spread of antibiotic resistance genes in amoxicillin manufacture wastewater treatment system显示文摘This study aimed to reveal how amoxicillin(AMX) affected the microbial community and the spread mechanism of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs) in the AMX manufacture wastewater treatment system. For this purpose, a 1.47 L expanded granular sludge bed(EGSB) reactor was designed and run for 241 days treating artificial AMX manufacture wastewater. 454 pyrosequencing was applied to analyze functional microorganisms in the system. The antibiotic genes OXA_(-1), OXA_(-2), OXA_(-10), TEM_(-1), CTX-M_(-1), class I integrons(intI1) and 16 SrRNA genes were also examined in sludge samples. The results showed that the genera Ignavibacterium, Phocoenobacter,Spirochaeta, Aminobacterium and Cloacibacillus contributed to the degradation of different organic compounds(such as various sugars and amines). 13Characterization of four hemocyanin isoforms in Litopenaeus vannamei显示文摘In this study, the gene encoding hemocyanin subunit L, Lv Hc L, was cloned from Litopenaeus vannamei and the genomic organization was characterized. This gene was diverse with many SNPs and also had at least four isoforms, while one of them(Lv Hc L4) only had two exons and the exon2 was missed. Transcription analysis showed that these isoforms of Lv Hc L were up-regulated after WSSV challenge in WSSV-resistant shrimp, while the transcriptions were decreased constantly in WSSV-susceptible shrimp. It is suggested that the hemocyanin had rich polymorphism and was involved in the antiviral response. 14Achievement of promising cryogenic magnetocaloric performances in La_(1-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(12)B_(6)compounds显示文摘The magnetic refrigeration(MR)utilizing magnetocaloric effect(MCE)has been recognized as an environmentally friendly and energy efficiency technology.Here we presented the magnetic properties and MCE in Pr-doped La_(1-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(12)B_(6)(x=0.05-0.2)itinerant-electron metamagnetic(IEM)compounds.A small amount of Pr doping La site can greatly improve the peak values in the magnetic entropy change S_(M)(T)curves,especially under relatively low magnetic field changes(ΔH).Additionally,the peak temperature increases gradually and the magnetic hysteresis reduces gradually with increasing x.The observed MCE in present La_(1-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(12)B_(6)compounds is related to its field-induced first-ordered IEM transition.The peak values ofΔS_(M)for La_(1-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(12)B_(6)compounds reach 13.4,15.4,12.5 and 13.0 J/(kg K)at T_(C)~58,68,72and 89 K for x=0.05,0.10,0.15 and 0.2 under H of 0-7 T,respectively.The corresponding relative cooling power values are 462.3,480.7,372.4 and 375.7 J/kg.The present La_(1-x)Pr_(x)Fe_(12)B_(6)compounds could be good candidates for active MR application if the magnetic and thermal hysteresis can be further reduced.The present work indicates that the La Fe_(12)B_(6)-based material system could also exhibit promising magnetocaloric performances.Zhipan Ma Xiaoshi Dong Zhenqian Zhang Lingwei Li 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,33:4
15Processes of dike-break induced flows:A combined experimental and numerical model study显示文摘Dike breaking is a disaster that could cause extensive damage. It could lead to flood flows outside the dike and induce water level fluctuations in the main channel. Numerical models are increasingly used to simulate flood flows due to dike-break, because direct observations from field surveys and physical models are rather limited. Existing knowledge concerning dam-break flows cannot be applied directly to dike-break flows because the effect of channel discharge cannot be neglected in the latter. In this study,physical experiments are done in a large laboratory flume to simulate the process of dike-break induced flood wave propagation in the floodplain and flow fluctuations in the main channel. The variations of water levels and velocities are measured and recorded using an array of pressure sensors and two acoustic Doppler velocimetry devices. A numerical model has been set up according to the experimental layout. The experiments have high repeatability and the numerical model predictions agree closely with the physical model data. 16High-performance polymer solar cells with efficiency over 18%enabled by asymmetric side chain engineering of non-fullerene acceptors显示文摘Side-chain engineering has been considered as one of the most promising strategies to optimize non-fullerene small-molecule acceptors(NFSMAs).Previous efforts were focused on the optimization of alkyl-chain length,shape,and branching sites.In this work,we propose that asymmetric side-chain engineering can effectively tune the properties of NFSMAs and improve the power conversion efficiency(PCE)for binary non-fullerene polymer solar cells(NFPSCs).Specifically,by introducing asymmetric side chains into the central core,both of the absorption spectra and molecule orientation of NFSMAs are efficiently tuned.When blended with polymer donor PM6,NFPSCs with EH-HD-4F(2-ethylhexyl and 2-hexyldecyl side chains)demonstrate a champion PCE of 18.38%with a short-circuit current density(J_(SC))of 27.48 mA cm^(-2),an open circuit voltage(V_(OC))of 0.84 V,and a fill factor(FF)of 0.79.Further studies manifest that the proper asymmetric side chains in NFSMAs could induce more favorable face-on molecule orientation,enhance carrier mobilities,balance charge transport,and reduce recombination losses.Shihao Chen Lingwei Feng Tao Jia Jianhua Jing Zhicheng Hu Kai Zhang Fei Huang 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,7:4
17Vapor-hydrate phases equilibrium of (CH_4+C_2H_6) and (CH_4+C_2H_4) systems显示文摘Separation of the(C1+C2)hydrocarbon system is of importance in natural gas processing and ethylene production.However it is the bottleneck because of its high refrigeration energy consumption, and needs to be urgently addressed.The technology of separating gas mixtures by forming hydrate could be used to separate(C 1 +C 2 )gas mixtures at around 0°C and has attracted increasing attention worldwide.In this paper,investigation of vapor-hydrate two-phase equilibrium was carried out for(C 1 +C 2 )systems with and without tetrahydrofuran(THF).The compositions of vapor and hydrate phases under phase equilibrium were studied with model algorithm when structure I and structure II hydrates coexisted for the(methane+ethane)system.The average deviation between the modeled and actual mole fractions of ethane in hydrate and vapor phases was 0.55%,and that of ethylene was 5.7%when THF was not added.The average deviation of the mole fraction of ethane in vapor phase was 11.46%and ethylene was 7.38%when THF was added.The test results showed that the proposed algorithm is practicable.Ma Qinglan Chen Guangjin Zhang Lingwei 2008Petroleum Science2008,5,4:4
18Classification of Imagined Speech EEG Signals with DWT and SVM显示文摘With the development of human-computer interaction technology,brain-computer interface(BCI)has been widely used in medical,entertainment,military,and other fields.Imagined speech is the latest paradigm of BCI and represents the mental process of imagining a word without making a sound or making clear facial movements.Imagined speech allows patients with physical disabilities to communicate with the outside world and use smart devices through imagination.Imagined speech can meet the needs of more complex manipulative tasks considering its more intuitive features.This study proposes a classification method of imagined speech Electroencephalogram(EEG)signals with discrete wavelet transform(DWT)and support vector machine(SVM).An open dataset that consists of 15 subjects imagining speaking six different words,namely,up,down,left,right,backward,and forward,is used.The objective is to improve the classification accuracy of imagined speech BCI system.The features of EEG signals are first extracted by DWT,and the imagined words are clas-sified by SVM with the above features.Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves an average accuracy of 61.69%,which is better than those of existing methods for classifying imagined speech tasks.ZHANG Lingwei ZHOU Zhengdong XU Yunfei JI Wentao WANG Jiawen SONG Zefeng 2022Instrumentation2022,9,2:4
19An improved specimen preparation method for marine shallow gasbearing sand sediments and its validations显示文摘Instabilities of shallow gas-charged seabed are potential geological hazards in ocean engineering.In practice,the conventional field sampling techniques failed to obtain undisturbed gas-bearing sediments from the seabed for laboratory mechanical testing because of sensitive gas exsolution and escape from sediments.However,preparation of representative remoulded gas-charged specimens is a challenging issue,because it is rather difficult to quantitatively control the gas content and obtain uniform distribution of gas bubbles within the specimen.Given the above problems,this work proposes a reliable approach to reconstitute the high-saturation specimen of gas-charged sediments in the laboratory by an improved multifunction integrated triaxial apparatus(MITA).This apparatus is developed based on an advanced stress path triaxial system by introducing a temperature-controlled system and a wavemonitoring system.The temperature-controlled system is used to accurately mimic the in situ environments of sediments in the seabed.The wave-monitoring system is utilized to identify exsolution point of free gas and examine the disturbance of gas to specimens during gas exsolution.The detailed procedure of gassy specimen preparation is introduced.Then,the quality of prepared specimens using our improved apparatus is validated by the high-resolution micro-X-ray computed tomography(mCT)scanning test,from which bubble occurrence and size distribution within the gassy sand specimen can be obtained;and preliminary mechanical tests on gassy sand specimens with various initial saturation degrees are performed.The proposed specimen preparation procedure succeeds in proving the postulated occurrence state of gas bubbles in coarse-grained sediments and accurately controlling the gas content.Yong Wang Lingwei Kong Min Wang Yanli Wang Peng Cheng 2021Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,3:3
20Microbiologically influenced corrosion of 304 stainless steel by halophilic archaea Natronorubrum tibetense显示文摘The corrosion behavior of 304 stainless steel(SS)in the presence of aerobic halophilic archaea Natronorubrum tibetense was investigated.After 14 days of immersion,no obvious pitting pit was observed on the SS surface in the sterile medium.By contrast,the SS exhibited serious pitting corrosion with the largest pit depth of 5.0μm in the inoculated medium after 14 days.The results of electrochemical tests showed that the barrier property of the passive film decreased faster in the inoculated medium.The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results indicated that the detrimental Fe2+and Cr6+increased in the passive film under the influence of archaea N.tibetense,which resulted in the accelerated deterioration of passive film and promoted the pitting corrosion.Combined with the energy starvation tests,the microbiologically influenced corrosion mechanism of 304 SS caused by halophilic archaea N.tibetense was discussed finally.Hongchang Qian Lingwei Ma Dawei Zhang Ziyu Li Luyao Huang Yuntian Lou Cuiwei Du 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,11:3
