2Biogas production from microbial-alkali pretreated corn stover by solid-state anaerobic digestion显示文摘Corn stover pretreated by Ceriporiopsis subvermispora was used as substrate to enhance biogas production via solid state anaerobic digestion(SS-AD).Effects of temperature,inoculum volume and alkaline concentration on the biogas production profermance were investigated.The results showed that pretreatment of corn stover by C.subvermispora benefited the biogas production.The optimal conditions were temperature 35°C,inoculum 10:1(w/w)and adding 5.0%of alkali,under which the maximum productions were obtained for daily and cumulative biogas of 14.07 L/kg VS and 211.09 L/kg VS.During the SS-AD process,the total solids(TS)and volatile solid(VS)were significantly degraded.The volatile fatty acids(VFA)concentration increased to 106 mmol/L and alkalinity decreased by about 23%.The results collectively suggested that microbial-alkali pretreatment of corn stove combining mesophilic condition could be a promising way to produce biogas in SS-AD.Zhao Pengxiang Cui Fengjie Bu Lingxi Jiang Jianxin 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,5:4
3Design and anti-sway performance testing of pesticide tanks in spraying UAVs显示文摘Anti-sway performance is one of the most important factors that affect the stability of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs).In this study,an anti-sway performance testing method and an evaluation formula for pesticide tanks were developed,which could facilitate the design and application of pesticide tank.The detection device mainly comprises a testing stand,a mounting and testing part,and a driving and control part.In the testing method,P(maximum pressure)measured by a barometer and t(fluctuation recovery time)measured by a high-speed camera were used as evaluation indexes.With the aim to determine the optimal position of the pressure detection device and the optimal filling ratio,four representative pesticide tanks were involved in this study.The results showed that the optimal position of the pressure detection device was at the middle position on the tank wall,halfway up from the bottom,and the optimal filling ratio was 0.8.Using P and t as evaluation indexes,a comprehensive evaluation formula was developed based on these tests:S=0.7Pi+0.3ti.Anti-sway performance of pesticide tanks was evaluated by a comprehensive score.A disk pesticide tank with a baffle was determined to be the best among the four types of pesticide tanks,showing a score of 1.The scores of the other three pesticide tanks were 0.500,0.428 and 0.612,respectively.These results indicated that the baffle structure in the pesticide tank and the radian design of the tank wall can effectively improve the anti-sway performance of a pesticide tank.The proposed detection device and test method are simpler and more intuitive compared to other approaches in evaluating the anti-sway performance of pesticide tanks in spraying UAVs,and they can be used as a reference to guide the design of pesticide tanks and the stability evaluation of spraying UAVs.Yu Zang Ying Zang Zhiyan Zhou Xiuyan Gu Rui Jiang Lingxi Kong Xingang He Xiwen Luo Yubin Lan 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,1:2

5Evaluation of FGF10 as a candidate gene for high myopia in a Han Chinese population显示文摘Background:Fibroblast growth factor 10(FGF10)is implicated in the growth and development of the eye.Four singles nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in the FGF10 gene(including rs1384449,rs339501,rs12517396 and rs10462070)were found to be associated with extreme myopia(EM,refractive error≤−10.0 diopters)in Japanese and Chinese Taiwan population.This case-control association study was conducted to explore the relationship between these four SNPs and high myopia in a western Chinese population.Methods:A total of 869 high myopia patients(HM,including 485 EM patients)and 899 healthy controls were recruited.These four SNPs were genotyped using the ABI SNaPshot method.Five genetic models(allelic,homozygous,heterozygous,dominant,and recessive)were applied to further evaluate the possible correlation between the SNPs and high myopia.The linkage-disequilibrium block(LD)structure was tested by Haploview Software.Results:In our study,no statistically significant differences were found between HM/EM patients and controls after Bonferroni multiple-correction(P>0.05)in the allele frequencies of these four SNPs in the FGF10 gene.We further found that rs12517396AA and rs10462070GG carriers showed a decreased risk of HM/EM compared with rs12517396AC+CC and rs10462070GA+AA carriers(P=0.045,OR=0.366;P=0.021,OR=0.131;P=0.03,OR=0.341;P=0.015,OR=0.122;respectively).Additionally,rs12517396AA and rs10462070GG carriers showed the same decreased risk of HM/EM compared with rs12517396CC and rs10462070AA carriers(P=0.048,OR=0.370;P=0.023,OR=0.133;P=0.032,OR=0.346;P=0.017,OR=0.126).However,these significant associations between rs12517396/rs10462070 and HM/EM disappeared after Bonferroni multiple-correction(P>0.05).Conclusion:Our findings indicate that rs12517396 and rs10462070 had marginal association with HM and EM.The other two common polymorphisms in FGF10 unlikely have significant effects in the genetic predisposition to HM/EM in western Chinese population.Further replication studies are needed to validate our findings in both animal models and human genetic epidemiologic studies.Lingxi Jiang Dongyan Luo Tingting Wang Rui Zheng Yaru Zhai Xiaoqi Liu Bo Gong Zhengzheng Wu Yin Yang Zhenglin Yang Yi Shi 2019Eye and Vision2019,6,1:0

7Three-dimensional remodeling of collagen fibers within cervical tissues in pregnancy显示文摘The cervix is a collagen-rich connective tissue that must remain closed during pregnancy while undergoing progressive remodeling in preparation for delivery,which begins before the onset of the preterm labor process.Therefore,it is important to resolve the changes of collagen flbers during cervical remodeling for the prevention of preterm labor.Herein,we assessed the spatial organization of collagen flbers in a three-dimensional(3D)context within cervical tissues of mice on day 3,9,12,15 and 18 of gestation.We found that the 3D directional variance,a novel metric of alignment,was higher on day 9 than that on day 3 and then gradually decreased from day 9 to day 18.Compared with two-dimensional(2D)approach,a higher sensitivity was achieved from 3D analysis,highlighting the importance of truly 3D quantification.Moreover,the depthdependent variation of 3D directional variance was investigated.By combining multiple 3D directional variance-derived metrics,a high level of classification accuracy was acquired in distinguishing different periods of pregnancy.These results demonstrate that 3D directional variance is sensitive to remodeling of collagen fibers within cervical tissues,shedding new light on highly-sensitive,early detection of preterm birth(PTB).Lingxi Zhou Rushan Jiang Jia Meng Shuhao Qian Shenyi Jiang Chuncheng Wang Chen Yang Zhihua Ding Zheyue Shu Zhiyi Liu 2023Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2023,16,4:0
