1Combined effect of pre-aging and Ag/Cu addition on the natural aging and bake hardening in Al-Mg-Si alloys显示文摘The combined effect of pre-aging and Ag/Cu addition on natural aging and bake hardening in Al-Mg-Si alloys were studied by Vickers microhardness measurement, tensile test, atom probe tomography and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that Ag and/or Cu addition could further enhance the positive effect of pre-aging on bake hardening for Al-Mg-Si alloys. Although the pre-aged alloys with individual Ag/Cu addition had higher paint bake hardness, the hardness in T4 P temper was relatively high due to effectively forming of Cluster(2) during pre-aging. While the pre-aged Ag-Cu-added alloy had low T4 P temper hardness and higher bake hardening response. The strong interaction energies between Ag/Cu atoms and Mg atoms were responsible for the facilitated clustering and precipitation processes. 3Multiporous Carbon Encapsulated Ni Nanoparticles Promoting Glycerol Valorisation towards Hydrogenation against Rearrangement显示文摘A dual-templating method was used to synthesize a series of hierarchical carbon supports containing different proportions of spherical macropores(ca.200 nm in diameter)and mesoporous channels(ca.4 nm in diameter).These and some other conventional carbon materials were subsequently impregnated with Ni and tested for the conversion of glycerol.The hierarchical catalysts exhibited a significantly higher conversion(96%)and selectivity(77%)to 1,2-propanediol,and the specificity selectivity coefficient(6.1)towards 1,2-propanediol against lactic acid was three times higher than that observed over a conventional Ni/Cmnicro catalyst(2.1).The enhanced performance of these materials,compared with the Ni nanoparticles supported on conventional carbon supports,was attributed to their high surface areas(>1110 m^2·g^-1)and large pore volumes(ca.0.4 cm^3·g^-1)permitting greater accessibility of substrate and/or intermediates to Ni active sites.Given that the concentration of accessible Ni sites in these materials is higher,a competitive benzilic-acid-rearrangement reaction to produce lactic acid was suppressed,leading to an enhanced hydrogenation selectivity to 1,2-propanediol.This study evidences the potential benefits,which can be established from utilizing hierarchical support materials in the valorization of biomass.Bin Zhang Bin Chen Mark Douthwaite Lipeng Tang Yibo Zhang Meng Wang Ding Ma 2020Chinese Journal of Chemistry2020,38,5:1
4Self-assembled multiepitope nanovaccine based on NoV P particles induces effective and lasting protection against H3N2 influenza virus显示文摘Current seasonal influenza vaccines confer only limited coverage of virus strains due to the frequent genetic and antigenic variability of influenza virus(IV).Epitope vaccines that accurately target conserved domains provide a promising approach to increase the breadth of protection;however,poor immunogenicity greatly hinders their application.The protruding(P)domain of the norovirus(NoV),which can self-assemble into a 24-mer particle called the NoV P particle,offers an ideal antigen presentation platform.In this study,a multiepitope nanovaccine displaying influenza epitopes(HMN-PP)was constructed based on the NoV P particle nanoplatform.Large amounts of HMN-PP were easily expressed in Escherichia coli in soluble form.Animal experiments showed that the adjuvanted HMN-PP nanovaccine induced epitope-specific antibodies and haemagglutinin(HA)-specific neutralizing antibodies,the antibodies could persist for at least three months after the last immunization.Furthermore,HMN-PP induced matrix protein 2 extracellular domain(M2e)-specific antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity,CD4^(+)and CD8^(+)T-cell responses,a nucleoprotein(NP)-specific cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CTL)response.These results indicated that the combination of a multiepitope vaccine and self-assembled NoV P particles may be an ideal and effective vaccine strategy for highly variable viruses such as IV and SARS-CoV-2.Jiaojiao Nie Qingyu Wang Shenghui Jin Xin Yao Lipeng Xu Yaotian Chang Fan Ding Zeyu Li Lulu Sun Yuhua Shi Yaming Shan 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0

6Pressure and flowrate distribution in central exhaust shaft with multiple randomly operating range hoods显示文摘Central flues are now commonly adopted in high-rise residential buildings in China for cooking oil fumes(COF)exhaust.Range hoods of all floors are connected to the central shaft,where oil fumes were gathered and exhausted through the outlet at the building roof.As households may cook and use their range hood at random periods,there is great uncertainty of the amount of COF being exhausted.In addition,users can often adjust the exhaust rate of the range hood according to their needs.As a result,thousands of possible operating conditions consisting of distinct combinations of on/off conditions and fan speed occur randomly in the central COF exhaust system,causing the exhaust performance to vary considerably from condition to condition.This work developed a mathematical model for characterizing the operation of the central COF exhaust system in a high-rise residential building as well as its iterative solving method.Full-scale tests coupled with CFD simulation referring to a real 30-floor building were conducted to validate the proposed model.The results show that the model agreed well with the CFD and experimental data under various system operating conditions.Moreover,the Monte-Carlo method was introduced to simulate the random operating characteristics of the system,and a hundred thousand cases corresponding to distinct system operating conditions were sampled and statistically analyzed.Lingjie Zeng Leqi Tong Jun Gao Bowen Du Chengquan Zhang Lipeng Lv Changsheng Cao Xihui Ding 2022Building Simulation2022,15,1:0
