| 5 | The soil configuration on granite residuals affects Benggang erosion by altering the soil water regime on the slope显示文摘A permanent collapsing gully,locally called Benggang,formed on slopes with deep granite red soil and is a type of unique gully erosion widely prevalent in southern China.Three different soil configurations(SC),ie,red-transition-sandy(SC I,the transition is the soil layer between the red soil and the sandy soil layer),transition-sandy(SC II)or sandy(SC III)are usually present in the soil profile of the Benggang slope.However,little attention has been paid to impacts of SCs on the triggering of Benggang erosion.In this study,we aimed to explore the relationships between soil water content(SWC)and triggering of Benggang erosion under different SC conditions.The soil properties of different soil layers were measured and the SWC at depths of 20,40,60,and 80 cm were monitored at 5-min intervals along a typical Benggang(SC I)during 2016-2018.The SWC of Benggang slopes with different SCs were simulated by VADOSE/W model.Results showed that the red soil layer had a higher water retention capacity and shear strength than the sandy soil layer.Even if the SWC is higher(e.g.,0.42 cm^(3)/cm^(3))at red soil layer or transition layer,the corresponding shear strength is greater than that of sandy soil layer with a lower SWC(e.g.,032 cm^(3)/cm^(3)).Relationships between shear strength and SWC of different soil layers indicate that Benggang erosion is triggered by an increase in the SWC in the deep sandy layer.Results also showed that differences exist in the SWC distribution among the different SCs.The SWC is higher in topsoil than in deeper soil in SC I and SC II,while in SC III,the opposite trend is observed.These results revealed that the presence of the red soil or transition layer can reduce the infiltration of rainwater into the deep sandy layer,thus can reduce the possibility of collapse.Our results show that the SC affects the stability of the headwall,and results provide great significances to guide the mitigation of Benggang erosion. | Xiaoqian Duan Yusong Deng Yu Tao Yangbo He Lirong Lin Jiazhou Chen | 2021 | International Soil and Water Conservation Research2021,9,3: | 4 |

| 9 | Uniform single atomic Cu_(1)-C_(4)sites anchored in graphdiyne for hydroxylation of benzene to phenol显示文摘For single-atom catalysts(SACs),the catalyst supports are not only anchors for single atoms,but also modulators for geometric and electronic structures,which determine their catalytic performance.Selecting an appropriate support to prepare SACs with uniform coordination environments is critical for achieving optimal performance and clarifying the relationship between the structure and the property of SACs.Approaching such a goal is still a significant challenge.Taking advantage of the strong d-πinteraction between Cu atoms and diacetylenic in a graphdiyne(GDY)support,we present an efficient and simple strategy for fabricating Cu single atoms anchored on GDY(Cu_(1)/GDY)with uniform Cu_(1)-C_(4)single sites under mild conditions.The Cu atomic structure was confirmed by combining synchrotron radiation X-ray absorption spectroscopy,X-ray photoele ctron spectroscopy and density functional theory(DFT)calculations.The as-prepared Cu1/GDY exhibits much higher activity than state-of-the-art SACs in direct benzene oxidation to phenol with H_(2)O_(2)reaction,with turnover frequency values of 251 h^(-1)at room temperature and 1889 h^(-1)at 60℃,respectively.Furthermore,even with a high benzene conversion of86%,high phenol sele ctivity(96%)is maintaine d,which can be ascribed to the hydrophobic and oleophyllic surface nature of Cu1/GDY for benzene adsorption and phenol desorption.Both experiments and DFT calculations indicate that Cu_(1)-C_(4)single sites are more effective at activating H_(2)O_(2)to form Cu=O bonds,which are important active intermediates for benzene oxidation to phenol. | Jia Yu Changyan Cao Hongqiang Jin Weiming Chen Qikai Shen Peipei Li Lirong Zheng Feng He Weiguo Song Yuliang Li | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,9: | 3 |
| 10 | Numerical investigation of airborne transmission of respiratory infections on the subway platform显示文摘Underground subway platforms are among the world’s busiest public transportation systems,but the airborne transmission mechanism of respiratory infections on these platforms has been rarely studied.Here,computational fluid dynamics(CFD)modeling is used to investigate the airflow patterns and infection risks in an island platform under two common ventilation modes:Mode 1-both sides have air inlets and outlets;Mode 2-air inlets are present at the two sides and outlets are present in the middle.Under the investigated scenario,airflow structure is characterized by the ventilation jet and human thermal plumes.Their interaction with the infector’s breathing jet imposes the front passenger under the highest exposure risk by short-range airborne route,with intake fractions up to 2.57%(oral breathing)or 0.63%(nasal breathing)under Mode 1;oral breathing of the infector may impose higher risks for the front passenger compared with nasal breathing.Pathogen are efficiently diluted as they travel further,in particular to adjacent crowds.The maximum and median value of intake fractions of passengers in adjacent crowds are respectively 0.093%and 0.016%(oral breathing),and 0.073%and 0.014%(nasal breathing)under Mode 1.Compared with Mode 1,the 2nd mode minimizes the interaction of ventilation jet and breathing jet,where the maximum intake fraction is only 0.34%,and the median value in the same crowd and other crowds are reduced by 23–63%.Combining published quanta generation rate data of COVID-19 and influenza infectors,the predicted maximum and median infection risks for passengers in the same crowds are respectively 1.46%–40.23%and 0.038%–1.67%during the 3–10 min waiting period,which are more sensitive to ventilation rate and exposure time compared with return air.This study can provide practical guidance for the prevention of respiratory infections in subway platforms. | Jianjian Wei Sirui Zhu Feiwu He Qianfang Guo Xinxin Huang Jianxiang Yu Lirong Zou Tao Jin Jie Wu | 2022 | Geoscience Frontiers2022,13,6: | 2 |
| 11 | Analysis on the Effects of Morphological Traits of Lutraria sieboldii on Its Body Mass Trait显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to explore the relationship between morphological traits and body mass trait of Lutraria sieboldii.[Methods]110 were randomly selected from 120 2^(nd)-instar L.sieboldii collected from the Tieshangang area of Beihai,Guangxi,and 132 were randomly selected from 150 shellfish at the instar of 0.6.Their morphological traits were measured:shell length(SL),shell height(SH),shell width(SW),anterior length(AL),posterior length(PL),nose length(NL)in closed shell state,and maximum open shell width(OS)between two shells in closed shell state,and the body mass trait BM was also measured.Statistical methods such as path analysis and multiple regression were used for data analysis,and the effects of these seven morphological traits on the body mass trait were studied,respectively.The correlation between the tested seven quantitative traits and one body mass trait was all positive,all reaching an extremely significant level(P<0.01).[Results]The body mass trait of the shellfish at the instar of 2 had the highest correlation coefficient with shell length(0.922),that is,shell length had the greatest direct impact on the body mass trait;the path coefficient was 0.700;and the final multiple regression equation established was BM=-124.882+1.189 SL+1.551 SH+1.035 SW+0.119 NL,and the total determination coefficient(R^(2))on body mass was 0.849.The body mass trait of the shellfish at the instar of 0.6 had the highest correlation coefficient with shell length(0.859),that is,shell length had the greatest direct impact on the body mass trait;the path coefficient was 0.494;and the final multiple regression equation established was BM=-1.917+0.111 SL+0.021 NL+0.078 SW+0.032 OS,and the total determination coefficient(R~2)on body mass was 0.828.The multivariate regression variance analysis showed that the regression between the morphological traits and body mass trait of the L.sieboldii at the instars of 2 and 0.6 reached an extremely significant level(P<0.01).[Conclusions]This study provides a scientific basis for the selection of broodstock in the selection and breeding of L.sieboldii. | Dan GUO Jian CHEN Ziqin ZHAI Tongtong REN Jijin WANG Lirong BAI Dahui YU | 2021 | Agricultural Biotechnology2021,10,4: | 2 |

At training stage, acoustic features are extracted from the training database and statistical models are estimated for each feature. During synthesis, the optimal candidate unit sequence is searched out from the database following the maximum likelihood criterion derived from the trained models. Finally, the waveforms of the optimal candidate units are concatenated to produce synthetic speech. Experiment results show that this method can improve the automation of system construction and naturalness of synthetic speech effectively compared with the conventional unit selection synthe-sis method. Furthermore, this paper presents a minimum unit selection error model training criterion according to the characteristics of unit selection speech synthesis and adopts discriminative training for model parameter estimation. | 19 | Genomic and transcriptomic analyses enable the identification of important genes associated with subcutaneous fat deposition in Holstein cows显示文摘Subcutaneous fat deposition has many important roles in dairy cattle,including immunological defense and mechanical protection.The main objectives of this study are to identify key candidate genes regulating subcutaneous fat deposition in high-producing dairy cows by integrating genomic and transcriptomic datasets.A total of 1654 genotyped Holstein cows are used to perform a genome-wide association study(GWAS)aiming to identify genes associated with subcutaneous fat deposition.Subsequently,weighted gene co-expression network analyses(WGCNA)are conducted based on RNA-sequencing data of 34 cows and cow yield deviations of subcutaneous fat deposition.Lastly,differentially expressed(DE)m RNA,lnc RNA,and differentially alternative splicing genes are obtained for 12 Holstein cows with extreme and divergent phenotypes for subcutaneous fat deposition.Forty-six protein-coding genes are identified as candidate genes regulating subcutaneous fat deposition in Holstein cattle based on GWAS.Eleven overlapping genes are identified based on the analyses of DE genes and WGCNA.Furthermore,the candidate genes identified based on GWAS,WGCNA,and analyses of DE genes are significantly enriched for pathways involved in metabolism,oxidative phosphorylation,thermogenesis,fatty acid degradation,and glycolysis/gluconeogenesis pathways.Integrating all findings,the NID2,STARD3,UFC1,DEDD,PPP1R1B,and USP21 genes are considered to be the most important candidate genes influencing subcutaneous fat deposition traits in Holstein cows.This study provides novel insights into the regulation mechanism underlying fat deposition in high-producing dairy cows,which will be useful when designing management and breeding strategies. | Hailiang Zhang Siyuan Mia Luiz F.Brito Lirong Hu Lei Wang Longgang Ma Qing Xu Gang Guo Ying Yu Yachun Wang | 2023 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2023,50,6: | 1 |

The resulting images have been analyzed using 2-D analysis software. Quantitative analysis reveals that 7 protein spots are detected only in hepatoma BEL-7404 cells, 14 only in L-02 cells, and 78 protein spots show significant fluctuation in quantity in both cell lines (P<0.01). These protein spots have been displayed on a proteome differential expression map.
