| 2 | Numerical study of corner separation in a linear compressor cascade using various turbulence models显示文摘Three-dimensional corner separation is a common phenomenon that significantly affects compressor performance.Turbulence model is still a weakness for RANS method on predicting corner separation flow accurately.In the present study,numerical study of corner separation in a linear highly loaded prescribed velocity distribution(PVD) compressor cascade has been investigated using seven frequently used turbulence models.The seven turbulence models include Spalart–Allmaras model,standard k–e model,realizable k–e model,standard k–x model,shear stress transport k–x model,v^2–f model and Reynolds stress model.The results of these turbulence models have been compared and analyzed in detail with available experimental data.It is found the standard k–e model,realizable k–e model,v^2–f model and Reynolds stress model can provide reasonable results for predicting three dimensional corner separation in the compressor cascade.The Spalart–Allmaras model,standard k–x model and shear stress transport k–x model overestimate corner separation region at incidence of 0°.The turbulence characteristics are discussed and turbulence anisotropy is observed to be stronger in the corner separating region. | Liu Yangwei Yan Hao Liu Yingjie Lu Lipeng Li Qiushi | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,3: | 11 |
| 3 | Modified k-ω model using kinematic vorticity for corner separation in compressor cascades显示文摘A new method of modifying the conventional k-ω turbulence model for corner separation is proposed in this paper. The production term in the ω equation is modified using kinematic vorticity considering fluid rotation and deformation in complex geometric boundary conditions. The corner separation flow in linear compressor cascades is calculated using the original k-ω model, the modified k-ω model and the Reynolds stress model(RSM). The numerical results of the modified model are compared with the available experimental data, as well as the corresponding results of the original k-ω model and RSM. In terms of accuracy, the modified model, which significantly improves the performance of the original k-ω model for predicting corner separation, is quite competitive with the RSM. | 4 | Investigation of model development for deterministic correlations associated with impeller-diffuser interactions in centrifugal compressors显示文摘The average-passage equation system(APES)provides a rigorous framework to account for the deterministic unsteady effects by the so-called deterministic correlations(DC),which include both deterministic stress correlations(DCS)and deterministic total enthalpy correlations(DCH).These correlations should be modeled to close the system of equations.In this paper,the distribution of DC in a transonic centrifugal compressor is presented,and its relative importance is revealed.The assumption made by Adamczyk that the pure unsteady fluctuation is significantly smaller than the spatial fluctuation is verified at the impeller-diffuser interface.The decomposition of DCH is also discussed to determine its two different physical mechanisms.Finally,the transport equations in terms of DCS in cylindrical coordinates are derived,and the terms are evaluated to determine the ones that are necessary to model.All these analyses significantly contribute to our model development for DC in centrifugal compressors. | LIU BaoJie ZHANGBo LIU YangWei | 2015 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2015,58,3: | 5 |

| 7 | Phenotypic and genetic parameter estimation of juvenile growth and bottom color traits in half-smooth tongue sole,Cynoglossus semilaevis显示文摘Half-smooth tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis) is a commercially important fish species. There were no reports about accurate genetic parameters of growth traits in C. semilaevis, despite efforts aimed at the culture of this species. Therefore, the main goal of this study was to estimate the parameters for the early growth traits(total length, body depth and body weight) of C. semilaevis based on the data obtained from 80 families. The trait of fish with pure white bottom or not(named as the trait of bottom color) was also analyzed. All the heritabilities estimated for the traits were medium, which varied from 0.210 to 0.362. Genetic correlations among growth traits were highly positive, varying from 0.913 to 0.959, indicating that selection of one of the three traits would result in correlated increase in the others. Also, genetic correlations between bottom color and growth traits were positive and varying from 0.241 to 0.353, suggesting that selection for the bottom color can be utilized to enhance the selection of growth traits. In addition, fish from the top performing 16 full-sib families were selected as broodstock, based on the above analysis and the comparison of family breeding value. | 8 | Postharvest Biological Control of Apple Anthracnose by Bacillus subtilis BS80-6,A Mutant Strain through Ion Implantation显示文摘The original Bacillus subtilis was isolated from the soil of an apple orchard,and B. subtilis strain BS80-6,selected from Bacillus subtilis by ion implantation,was used as an antagonist for postharvest biological control against apple anthracnose( colletotrichum gloeosporioides). The mechanisms of action and efficacy of Bacillus subtilis strain BS80-6 against apple anthracnose caused by colletotrichum gloeosporioides were studied in vitro and on apples in controlled and semi-commercial conditions. An application of cell suspension( 108 cells per mL) of the antagonist in artificial wounds of apples reduced growth of C. gloeosporioides after storage at different temperatures. The inhibitory actions of cell culture to hyphal growth and to spores germination were 86. 6% and 98. 65%,respectively,and the control efficacy of cell culture against the disease was 60. 34% at room temperature. The results showed that BS80-6 was more effective against apple anthracnose.The cell culture of BS80-6 received better control efficacy against apple anthracnose than culture filtrates and autoclaved cell. All treatments significantly inhibited the disease both in vitro and in vivo compared with control. Fruits treated with cell culture and stored at 10 ℃ had lower infection rate,more delayed formation of acervwlus and smaller lesion diameter than those stored at 20 ℃. There was better control efficacy in fruits inoculated with spores after application of BS80-6. The mechanisms of BS80-6 activity appeared to involve production of an antifungal substance,deformation of hyphal cell and disintegration of cell wall. | 16 | Study of limits to the rotation function in the SA-RC turbulence model显示文摘The Rotation and Curvature(RC)correction is an important turbulence model modifi-cation approach,and the Spalart-Allmaras model with the RC correction(SA-RC)has been exten-sively studied and used.As a multiplier of the modelling equation’s production term,the rotation function f_(r1)should have a cautiously designed value range,but its limit varies in different models and flow solvers.Therefore,the need of restriction is discussed theoretically,and the common range of f_(r1)is explored in Burgers vortexes.Afterwards,the SA-RC model with different limits is tested numerically.Negative f_(r1)always appears in the SA-RC model,and the difference between simula-tion results brought by the limits is not negligible.A lower limit of 0 enhances turbulence produc-tion,and therefore the vortex structures are dissipated faster and shrink in size,while an upper limit plays an opposite role.Considering that the lower limit of 0 usually promotes the simulation accu-racy and fixes the numerical defect,whereas the upper limit worsens the predictive performance in most cases,it is recommended to limit f_(r1)non-negative while utilizing the SA-RC model.In addi-tion,the RC-corrected model has a better prediction of the attached flow near curved walls,while the SA-Helicity model largely improves the simulation accuracy of three-dimensional large-scale vortices.The model combining both corrections has the potential to become more adaptive and more accurate. | Wenhao LI Yangwei LIU | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,1: | 1 |
| 17 | Thermodynamics-guided two-way interlocking DNA cascade system for universal multiplexed mutation detection显示文摘Detection of point mutations in driver genes is of great significance for the early diagnosis,treatment,and prognostic evaluation of cancer.However,current detection methods do not offer versatility,specificity,and rapid performance simultaneously.Thus,multiple mutation detection processes are necessary,which results in long processing times and high costs.In this study,we developed a thermodynamics-guided two-way interlocking DNA cascade system for universal multiplexed mutation detection(TTI-CS).This strategy is based on the DNA probe,which changes the thermodynamic balance of the DNA cascade by the designed bubble structure,thereby achieving a good distinction between mutant and wild-type DNA.The designed method greatly shortens the detection time through two-way intrusion.In addition,this method only changes two inexpensive trigger and bridge sequences,which replace the specific and expensive nucleic acid probes used in analyses based on traditional DNA probe methods,thereby enabling multiple detections.We performed the detection of synthetic single-stranded DNA for the five mutation points and successfully detected in endometrial cancer specimens.The detection limit of this method is0.1%,which better meets the needs of clinical low-abundance multiple mutation detection.Overall,TTI-CS is currently one of the best methods for detecting multiple mutation detections. | Wei Zhang Liquan Liu Yangwei Liao Wan Shu Xiaofeng Tang Kejun Dong Zhihao Ming Xianjin Xiao Hongbo Wang | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,1: | 0 |
| 18 | Parameter study on numerical simulation of corner separation in LMFA-NACA65 linear compressor cascade显示文摘Large-eddy simulation(LES) is compared with experiment and Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS), and LES is shown to be superior to RANS in reproducing corner separation in the LMFA-NACA65 linear compressor cascade, in terms of surface limiting streamlines,blade pressure coefficient, total pressure losses and blade suction side boundary layer profiles. However, LES is too expensive to conduct an influencing parameter study of the corner separation.RANS approach, despite over-predicting the corner separation, gives reasonable descriptions of the corner separated flow, and is thus selected to conduct a parametric study in this paper. | 19 | VR helicity density and its application in turbomachinery tip leakage flows显示文摘Helicity is an important quantity that represents the topological interpretation of vortices;however,helicity is not a Galilean invariant.In this study,VR helicity density(HVR)is derived via taking the dot product of vorticity with the unit real eigen vector of the velocity gradient tensor when the complex eigenvalues exist.The analytical solution of HVR is derived to resolve it in a local pointwise manner,and the Galilean invariance of HVR is proved.Tip leakage flow structures in a direct numerical simulation of a tip leakage flow model and a delayed detached eddy simulation of a low-speed large-scale axial compressor rotor are extracted using helicity,eigen helicity density and HVR methods.Results show that the utilization of HVR permits the identification and accentuation of concentrated vortices.Vortices identified by HVR appear in more connective states.As in the case of helicity,the sign of HVR distinguishes between primary and secondary vortices,while eigen helicity density fails.The normalized HVR is superior to the normalized helicity density in locating the vortex axis,especially for the induced vortex structures.Hence,HVR is a strong candidate to replace the helicity density,especially when Galilean invariance is required. | Yumeng TANG Yangwei LIU | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,11: | 0 |
