| 1 | Evolution and variation of the Tsushima warm current during the late Quaternary: Evidence from planktonic foraminifera, oxygen and carbon isotopes显示文摘The evolution and variation history of the Tsushima warm current during the late Quaternary was reconstructed based on the quantitative census data of planktonic foraminiferal fauna, together with oxygen and carbon isotope records of mixed layer dweller G. ruber and thermocline dweller N. dutertrei in piston core CSH1 and core DGKS9603 collected separately from the Tsushima warm current and the Kuroshio dominated area. The result showed that the Tsushima warm current vanished in the lowstand period during 40―24 cal ka BP, while the Kuroshio still flowed across the Okinawa Trough, arousing strong upwelling in the northern Trough. Meanwhile, the influence of freshwater greatly increased in the northern Okinawa Trough, as the broad East China Sea continental shelf emerged. The freshwater reached its maximum during the last glacial maximum (LGM), when the upwelling obviously weakened for the lowest sea-level and the depression of the Kuroshio. The modern Tsushima warm current began its development since 16 cal ka BP, and the impact of the Kuroshio increased in the middle and north- ern Okinawa Trough synchronously during the deglaciation and gradually evolved as the main water source of the Tsushima current. The modern Tsushima current finally formed at about 8.5 cal ka BP, since then the circulation structure has been relatively stable. The water of the modern Tsushima cur- rent primarily came from the Kuroshio axis. A short-term wiggle of the current occurred at about 3 cal ka BP, probably for the influences from the enhancement of the winter monsoon and the depression of the Kuroshio. | 2 | A broad deglacial δ^(13)C minimum event in planktonic foraminiferal records in the Okinawa Trough显示文摘The equatorial Pacific upwelling zone has been suspected of playing an important role in the global atmospheric CO2 changes associated with glacial-interglacial cycles. In order to assess the influencing scope of the surface water deglacial δ13C minimum in the tropical low-latitude Pacific, the core DGKS9603, collected from the middle Okinawa Trough, was examined for δ13C records of planktonic fo-raminifera N. dutertrei and G. ruber. The planktonic fo-raminiferal δ13C records show a clear decreasing event from 20 to 6 cal. kaBP., which is characterized by long duration of about 14 ka and amplitude shift of 0.4×10-3. Its minimum value occurred at 15.7 cal kaBP. The event shows fairly synchrony with the surface water deglacial δ13C minimum identified in the tropical Pacific and its marginal seas. | 3 | The sedimentation rates in the Okinawa Trough during the Late Quaternary显示文摘On the basis of accelerator mass spectrometer radiocarbon (AMS14C) dating, sedimentation rates of 11 cores collected from thenorthern to southern Okinawa Trough are discussed. The sedimentation rates in the Okinawa Trough roughly range from 11 to 39cm/ka, and the average is 23.0 cm/ka. China’s continental matter is the main sediment source of the middle Okinawa Trough and hasimportant contribution to the northern and southern Okinawa Trough. The sedimentation rates during the marine oxygen isotope (MIS)2 are uniformly higher than those during MIS 1 in the northern and middle Okinawa Trough while they are on the contrary in thesouthern Okinawa Trough. | 4 | Microstructure and Wear Behavior of Ti-6Al-4V Treated by Plasma Zr-alloying and Plasma Nitriding显示文摘A duplex treatment of plasma Zr-alloying and plasma nitriding was used to improve the tribological properties of Ti-6Al-4V. The microstructure of the Zr-N composite(alloyed) layer formed on Ti-6Al-4V and its hardness, friction and wear properties were investigated by using OM, SEM, GDOES, EDS, microhardness tester as well as ball-on-disk tribometer. The results of microstructural analysis show that the alloyed layer is compact and uniform and is mainly composed of ZrN, TiN_(0.3) and AlN. A very tiny adhesive and slight oxidation wear is the primary wear mechanism for the modified Ti-6Al-4V. The tribological property is improved significantly after the duplex treatment. | 6 | Three-Dimensional Numerical Simulation of Ice Crystal Melting in Jet Engine显示文摘A method was presented for calculating the melting rate of ice crystals in different axial positions in a compressor. The volume of fluid model and enthalpy-porosity model were used to simulate the melting process of single ice crystal. The result was validated by experimental data from literature. The change of the liquid fraction of the ice crystals with the axial position was obtained when the temperature distribution inside the compressor was introduced into the melting process. The liquid fraction of the spherical ice crystals was fitted with the ice crystal diameter as a variable, and the general distribution function for computing liquid fraction in any axial position in the compressor was obtained. | 8 | An Experimental Study on the Effects of a Film Cooling Configuration and Mainstream Temperature on Depositing显示文摘The effects of a film cooling configuration and mainstream temperature on the depositing of particles are experimentally studied by using plate models. The particles are generated by melting wax and atomizing it. One model has a film cooling configuration and the other does not. The experimental results show that the film cooling configuration does not influence the depositing on the leading edge of the model very significantly. However, the film cooling configuration could increase the depositing on the upper surface of the model dramatically since the flow structure on the upper surface is changed due to the film cooling configuration. The effect of the mainstream temperature on the depositing is studied by using the model with film cooling configuration. The lower and higher mainstream temperature both could reduce the depositing. However, the mechanisms are different. The lower mainstream temperature could make more molten particles become solid particles, which could rebound from the surface of the model, reducing the depositing. The higher mainstream temperature could make all particles remain molten with higher temperature. In this case, more particles could splash from the surface of the model. | 9 | Wear and Corrosion Properties of Mo Surface-modified Layer in TiNi Alloy Prepared by Plasma Surface Alloying显示文摘In order to improve the wear resistance and restrain nickel release of TiNi alloys,the Mo modified layers on TiNi substrates were obtained using the double glow plasma surface alloying technique.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy(GDOES) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) were employed to investigate the morphology,composition and structure.Microhardness test and scratch test were performed to analyze the microhardness and coating/substrate adhesion.Tribological and electrochemical behaviors of the Mo modified layers on TiNi were tested by the reciprocating wear instrument and electrochemical measurement system.The Ni concentrations in Hanks' solution where surface electrochemical tests took place were measured by mass spectrometry.The surface-modified layer contained a Mo deposition layer and a Mo diffusion layer.The X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the modified layers were composed of Mo,MoTi,Mo Ni,and Ti_2Ni.The microhardnesses of the Mo modified layers treated at 900 ℃ and 950 ℃ were 832.8 HV and 762.4 HV,respectively,which was about 3 times the microhardness of the TiNi substrate.Scratch tests indicated that the modified layers possessed good adhesion with the substrate.Compared with as-received TiNi alloy,the modified alloys exhibited significant improvement of wear resistance against Si_3N_4 with low normal loads during the sliding tests.Mass spectrometry displayed that the Mo alloy layers had successfully inhibited the Ni release into the body. | 张红前 WANG Zhenxia YANG Hongyu SHAN Xiaolin LIU Xiaoping YU Shengwang 贺志勇 | 2016 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,4: | 1 |
