1Buyang Huanwu Decoction fraction protects against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury by attenuating the inflammatory response and cellular apoptosis显示文摘Buyang Huanwu Decoction fraction extracted from Buyang Huanwu Decoction contains saponins of Astragalus, total paeony glycoside and safflower flavones. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the neuroprotective effect and mechanism of Buyang Huanwu Decoction fraction on ischemic injury both in vivo and in vitro. In vivo experiments showed that 50-200 mg/kg Buyang Huanwu Decoction fraction reduced infarct volume and pathological injury in ischemia/reperfusion rats, markedly inhibited expression of nuclear factor-κB and tumor necrosis factor-α and promoted nestin protein expression in brain tissue. Buyang Huanwu Decoction fraction (200 mg/kg) exhibited significant effects, which were similar to those of 100 mg/kg Ginkgo biloba extract. In vitro experimental results demonstrated that 10-100 mg/L Buyang Huanwu Decoction fraction significantly improved cell viability, decreased the release of lactate dehydrogenase and malondialdehyde levels, and inhibited the rate of apoptosis in HT22 cells following oxygen-glucose deprivation. Buyang Huanwu Decoction fraction (100 mg/L) exhibited significant effects, which were similar to those of 100 mg/L Ginkgo biloba extract. 2Co-regulation of indole glucosinolates and camalexin biosynthesis by CPK5/CPK6 and MPK3/MPK6 signaling pathways^°°显示文摘Secondary plant metabolites,represented by indole glucosinolates(IGS)and camalexin,play important roles in Arabidopsis immunity.Previously,we demonstrated the importance of MPK3 and MPK6,two closely related MAPKs,in regulating Botrytis cinerea(Bc)-induced IGS and camalexin biosynthesis.Here we report that CPK5 and CPK6,two redundant calcium-dependent protein kinases(CPKs),are also involved in regulating the biosynthesis of these secondary metabolites.The loss-of-function of both CPK5 and CPK6 compromises plant resistance to Be.Expression profiling of CPK5-VK transgenic plants,in which a truncated constitutively active CPK5 is driven by a steroidinducible promoter,revealed that biosynthetic genes of both IGS and camalexin pathways are coordinately upregulated after the induction of CPK5-VK,leading to high-level accumulation of camalexin and 4-methoxyindole-3-ylmethylglucosinolate(4MI3G).Induction of camalexin and 4MI3G,as well as the genes in their biosynthesis pathways,is greatly compromised in cpks cpk6 mutant in response to Be.In a conditional cpk5 cpk6 mpk3 mpk6 quadruple mutant,Be resistance and induction of IGS and camalexin are further reduced in comparison to either cpks cpk6 or conditional mpk3 mpk6 double mutant,suggesting that both CPK5/CPK6 and MPK3/MPK6 signaling pathways contribute to promote the biosynthesis of 4MI3G and camalexin in defense against Be.Liuyi Vang Yan Zhang Rongxia Guan Sen Li Xuwen Xu Shuqun Zhang Juan Xu 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,11:6
3Experimental study on interference effect of rarefaction wave on laminar propagating flame显示文摘In order to study the interference effect of rare- faction wave on the laminar flame propagating structure and pressure characteristics of methane-air mixture, a small scale combustion chamber has been built. The techniques of high speed Schlieren photograph, pressure measurement and so on, are used to study the influence of rarefaction wave on the laminar flame propagating through methane-air mixture. 4Magnetic field characteristics analysis of a single assembled magnetic medium using ANSYS software显示文摘The section shape of an assembled magnetic medium is the most important structural parameter of a high gradient magnetic separator, which directly affects the induction distribution and magnetic field gradient of the magnetic separator. In this study, equilateral triangle, square, hexagonal, octagon, dodecagon, and round shape sections of the assembled magnetic medium are chosen to study their influence on magnetic field distribution characteristics using the ANSYS analysis. This paper utilizes a single assembled magnetic medium to understand the relationship between the geometry of the assembled magnetic medium and its magnetic field distribution characteristics. The results show that high magnetic field,regional field, magnetic field gradient, and magnetic force formed by the different sections of the assembled magnetic medium in the same background magnetic field reduce in turn based on the triangle,square, hexagonal, octagon, dodecagon, and round. Based on the magnetic field characteristics analytic results, the magnetic separation tests of the ilmenite are carried out. The results indicate that the section shape of the toothed plate compared with the section shape of cylinder can improve the recovery of ilmenite up to 45% in the same magnetizing current condition of 2A, which is consistent with magnetic field characteristics analysis of different assembled magnetic medium section shapes.Ren Liuyi Zeng Shanglin Zhang Yimin 2015International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,3:5
5Full ranking procedure based on best and worst frontiers显示文摘In the traditional data envelopment analysis(DEA)structure, the efficiency score for one decision making unit(DMU)is calculated by measuring the distance of the evaluated DMU to the best practice frontier. Recent researches have provided the reasonability of considering the worst practice frontier as a supplement to the traditional DEA techniques. The existing researches take only one type of frontier into account, and they cannot compare the evaluated DMU with both the best and the worst performing DMUs. A DEA-based procedure is developed to consider the best and the worst frontiers in the same scenario where the ratio of two distances(RDS) measure is proposed. The principal application of this approach is for ranking, and, as a complement tool,for performance evaluation. The proposed approach can be used in a wide range of applications such as the performance evaluation of employees and others. 6A Comparative Study on Hydrodynamic Performance of Double Deflector Rectangular Cambered Otter Board显示文摘In the present work,the hydrodynamic performance of the double deflector rectangular cambered otter board was studied using wind tunnel experiment,flume tank experiment and numerical simulation.Results showed that the otter board had a good hydrodynamic performance with the maximum lift-to-drag ratio(K_(MAX) = 3.70).The flow separation occurred when the angle of attack(AOA) was at 45?,which revealed that the double deflector structure of the otter board can delay the flow separation.Numerical simulation results showed a good agreement with experiment ones,and could predict the critical AOA,which showed that it can be used to study the hydrodynamic performance of the otter board with the advantage of flow visualization.However,the drag coefficient in flume tank was much higher than that in wind tunnel,which resulted in a lower lift-to-drag ratio.These may be due to different fluid media between flume tank and wind tunnel,which result in the big difference of the vortexes around the otter board.Given the otter boards are operated in water,it was suggested to apply both flume tank experiment and numerical simulation to study the hydrodynamic performance of otter board.XU Qingchang FENG Chunlei HUANG Liuyi XU Jiqiang WANG Lei ZHANG Xun LIANG Zhenlin TANG Yanli ZHAO Fenfang WANG Xinxin 2018Journal of Ocean University of China2018,17,5:5
7Significant Effects of Fishing Gear Selectivity on Fish Life History显示文摘Over the past few decades, extreme changes have occurred in the characters of exploited fish populations. The majority of these changes have affected the growth traits of fish life history, which include a smaller size-at-age, an earlier age-at-maturation and among others. Currently, the causes of these life history traits changes still require systematic analyses and empirical studies. The explanations that have been cited are merely expressed in terms of fish phenotypic adaptation. It has been claimed that the original traits of fish can be recovered once the intensity of exploitation of the fish is controlled. Sustained environmental and fishing pressure will change the life history traits of most fish species, so the fish individual's traits are still in small size-at-age and at earlier age-at-maturation in exploited fish populations. In this paper, we expressed our view of points that fishing gear has imposed selectivity on fish populations and individuals as various other environmental factors have done and such changes are unrecoverable. 11Investigation of condition-induced bubble size and distribution in electroflotation using a high-speed camera显示文摘In the flotation process,bubble is a key factor in studying bubble-particle interaction and fine particle flotation.Knowledge on size distribution of bubbles in a flotation system is highly important.In this study,bubble distributions in different reagent concentrations,electrolyte concentrations,cathode apertures,and current densities in electroflotation are determined using a high-speed camera.Average bubble sizes under different conditions are calculated using Image-ProòPlus(Media Cyberneticsò,MD,USA)and SigmaScanòPro(Systat Software,CA,USA)software.Results indicate that the average sizes of bubbles,which were generated through 38,50,74,150,250,420,and 1000 lm cathode apertures,are 20.2,29.5,44.6,59.2,68.7,78.5,and 88.8 lm,respectively.The optimal current density in electroflotation is20 A/m2.Reagent and electrolyte concentrations,current density,and cathode aperture are important factors in controlling bubble size and nucleation.These factors also contribute to the control of fineparticle flotation.Ren Liuyi Zhang Yimin Qin Wenqing Bao Shenxu Wang Peipei Yang Congren 2014International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,1:2

13Experimental Study on the Hydrodynamic Characteristics of a Submersible Fish Cage at Various Depths in Waves显示文摘Submersible fish cages can be submerged under the water to mitigate the negative effects that arise from severe sea conditions and improve the growing environment for the farmed fish. Thus they are increasingly applied in offshore aquaculture. To ensure both safety and economic efficiency of submersible fish cages, it is important to determine the optimum submergence depth. In this study, a series of physical model experiments were conducted to investigate the hydrodynamic performance of a submersible fish cage at various submergence depths(1/6, 1/4, 1/3, and 1/2 of the water depth as well as the floating condition for reference) with a model scale of 1:20. The results of the physical model experiment for the different depths were compared to analyze the effects of submergence depths on the mooring line tension and the movement of the floating collar. The results showed that the mooring line tension and the floating collar movement significantly attenuated with increasing submergence depth. However, the attenuation tendency became stable when the fish cage reached a certain depth. According to the results, 1/3 of water depth was determined as the optimal submergence depth of the fish cages. Deeper submergence depths showed no significant advantage from a perspective of the hydrodynamic characteristics of the fish cage.
