Luminescent and thermometric properties of dual emitting Eu^(2+)/Sm^(3+) co-doped Sr_(4)La(PO_(4))_(3)O phosphor based on energy transfer显示文摘Eu^(2+)/Sm^(3+)co-doped dual-emitting Sr_(4)La(PO_(4))_(3)O phosphors were synthesized through a convenient high temperature solid state reaction in reductive atmosphere. The structure, luminescence, energy transfer and temperature-dependent luminescence properties of Eu^(2+)/Sm^(3+)co-doped Sr_(4)La(PO_(4))_(3)O phosphors were researched and analyzed in detail. The blue emission of Eu^(2+)and the red emission of Sm^(3+)can work together as FIR signals.Based on the different response characteristics of these two ion emissions to temperature,Sr_(4)La(PO_(4))_(3)O:Eu^(2+)/Sm^(^(3+))phosphor achieves the relative sensitivity of0.48384%/K and a wide range of temperature measurements from room temperature to 573 K.The results reveal that the Sr_(4)La(PO_(4))_(3)O:Eu^(2+)/Sm^(3+)phosphor has application prospect in the field of high temperature optical thermometry. The energy transfer mechanism is proved to be the dipole-dipole interaction between Eu^(2+)and Sm^(3+)ions. | Fuwen Liu Degang Deng Ming Wu Bowen Chen Liuyan Zhou Shiqing Xu | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,3: | 1
Chaperone-mediated Autophagy Regulates Cell Growth by Targeting SMAD3 in Glioma显示文摘Previous studies suggest that the reduction of SMAD3(mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 3)has a great impact on tumor development, but its exact pathological function remains unclear. In this study,we found that the protein level of SMAD3 was greatly reduced in human-grade IV glioblastoma tissues,in which LAMP2A(lysosome-associated membrane protein type 2A)was significantly up-regulated.LAMP2A is a key ratelimiting protein of chaperone-mediated autophagy(CMA),a lysosome pathway of protein degradation that is activated in glioma. We carefully analyzed the amino-acid sequence of SMAD3 and found that it contained a pentapeptide motif biochemically related to KFERQ,which has been proposed to be a targeting sequence for CMA.In vitro,we confirmed that SMAD3 was degraded in either serum-free or KFERQ motif deleted condition, which was regulated by LAMP2A and interacted with HSC70(heat shock cognate 71 kDa protein).Using isolated lysosomes,amino-acid residues 75 and 128 of SMAD3 were found to be of importance for this process, which affected the CMA pathway in which SMAD3 was involved.Similarly,down-regulating SMAD3 or up-regulating LAMP2A in cultured glioma cells enhanced their proliferation and invasion.Taken together, these results suggest that excessive activation of CMA regulates glioma cell growth by promoting the degradation of SMAD3.Therefore,targeting the SMAD3-LAMP2Amediated CMA-lysosome pathway may be a promising approach in anti-cancer therapy. | Hanqun Liu Yuxuan Yong Xingjian Li Panghai Ye Kai Tao Guoyou Peng Mingshu Mo Wenyuan Guo Xiang Chen Yangfu Luo Yuwan Lin Jiewen Qiu Ziling Zhang Liuyan Ding Miaomiao Zhou Xinling Yang Lin Lu Qian Yang Pingyi Xu | 2022 | Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,6: | 0
Expert consensus on irrigation and intracanal medication in root canal therapy显示文摘Chemical cleaning and disinfection are crucial steps for eliminating infection in root canal treatment. However, irrigant selection or irrigation procedures are far from clear. The vapor lock effect in the apical region has yet to be solved, impeding irrigation efficacy and resulting in residual infections and compromised treatment outcomes. | Xiaoying Zou Xin Zheng Yuhong Liang Chengfei Zhang Bing Fan Jingping Liang Junqi Ling Zhuan Bian Qing Yu Benxiang Hou Zhi Chen Xi Wei Lihong Qiu Wenxia Chen Wenxi He Xin Xu Liuyan Meng Chen Zhang Liming Chen Shuli Deng Yayan Lei Xiaoli Xie Xiaoyan Wang Jinhua Yu Jin Zhao Song Shen Xuedong Zhou Lin Yue | 2024 | International Journal of Oral Science2024,16,1: | 0
An optical thermometer with high sensitivity and superior signal discriminability based on dual-emitting Ce^(3+)/Eu^(2+)co-doped La5Si2BO13 thermochromic phosphor显示文摘A novel non-contact optical thermometer, qualified with high sensitivity and temperature resolution,is urgently needed for temperature measuring of micro devices, moving objects and specific severe environments.Hence,a series of dual-emitting La_(5)Si_(2)BO_(13):Ce^(3+),Eu^(2+)phosphors were synthesized. The two ions show diverse responses with the changing in temperature. The variational emissions of Ce^(3+)and Eu^(2+)can be converted to FIR(fluorescence intensity ratio)signals. The maximal absolute sensitivity Sa and relative sensitivity Sr reach up to 0.07526%/K and 3.2241%/K,respectively.It is worthy noting that the Sa and Sr possess the same variation tendency and both have high values in the low temperature region(293-373 K),showing the great temperature measuring property especially in low temperature region. The temperature sensing characteristics are superior to the results of most previous reports. The energy transfer(ET)process is certified to occur from Ce^(3+)to Eu^(2+)ions.These studies indicate that La_(5)Si_(2)BO_(13):Ce^(3+),Eu^(2+)phosphor could have a good prospect for optical thermometry. | Fuwen Liu Ying Tian Degang Deng Ming Wu Bowen Chen Liuyan Zhou Shiqing Xu | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,11: | 0
Current status of outcome reporting in randomized controlled trials of traditional Chinese medicine for mammary gland hyperplasia: A systematic review显示文摘Objective:To assess outcome indicators in clinical trials and provide a reference for establishing a core outcome set to treat hyperplasia of mammary gland(HMG)with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods:Eight online databases were searched from their inception to December 31,2022,to assess outcomes reported in randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of HMG treated with TCM.The quality of the included studies was assessed according to the Cochrane Risk of Bias Assessment Tool. All outcomes were extracted, classified, and described. Results:A total of 8249 articles were initially retrieved.Of these,70 articles were eligible and involved 10618 participants with HMG.A total of 17 outcome indicators with a frequency of 271 times were involved and were collected according to six outcome domains. Conclusions:The core outcomes of RCTs of HMG treated with TCM are large and divergent. There are problems in evaluation standards, primary and secondary outcomes,TCM characteristic indicators,long-term prognosis, and standardization of reporting. It is recommended to strengthen the trial design and actively construct the core outcome sets with TCM characteristics for HMG. | Liuyan Xu Xiaohua Pei Xuan Wang Baoyong Lai Xinyan Jin Yingyi Fan | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2023,10,2: | 0

Fang-Xia-Dihuang decoction inhibits breast cancer progression induced by psychological stress via down-regulation of PI3K/AKT and JAK2/STAT3 pathways:An in vivo and a network pharmacology assessment显示文摘Background:The development and prognosis of breast cancer are intricately linked to psychological stress. In addition, depression is the most common psychological comorbidity among breast cancer survivors, and reportedly,Fang-Xia-Dihuang decoction(FXDH)can effectively manage depression in such patients. However, its pharmacological and molecular mechanisms remain obscure. Methods:Public databases were used for obtaining active components and related targets.Main active components were further verified by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry(UPLC-HRMS).Protein–protein interaction and enrichment analyses were taken to predict potential hub targets and related pathways.Molecule docking was used to understand the interactions between main compounds and hub targets. In addition,an animal model of breast cancer combined with depression was established to evaluate the intervention effect of FXDH and verify the pathways screened by network pharmacology.Results:174 active components of FXDH and 163 intersection targets of FXDH,breast cancer, and depression were identified.Quercetin, methyl ferulate, luteolin, ferulaldehyde, wogonin, and diincarvilone were identified as the principal active components of FXDH.Protein–protein interaction and KEGG enrichment analyses revealed that the phosphoinositide-3-kinase–protein kinase B(PI3K/AKT)and Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription(JAK2/STAT3)signaling pathways played a crucial role in mediating the efficacy of FXDH for inhibiting breast cancer progression induced by depression. In addition,in vivo experiments revealed that FXDH ameliorated depression-like behavior in mice and inhibited excessive tumor growth in mice with breast cancer and depression.FXDH treatment downregulated the expression of epinephrine,PI3K,AKT,STAT3,and JAK2 compared with the control treatment(p<0.05).Molecular docking verified the relationship between the six primary components of FXDH and the three most important targets, including phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha(PIK3CA),AKT,and STAT3.Conclusion:This study provides a scientific basis to support the clinical application of FXDH for improving depression-like behavior and inhibiting breast cancer progression promoted by chronic stress. The therapeutic effects FXDH may be closely related to the PI3K/AKT and JAK2/STAT3 pathways. This finding helps better understand the regulatory mechanisms underlying the efficacy of FXDH. | LINGYAN LV JING ZHAO XUAN WANG LIUYAN XU YINGYI FAN CHUNHUI WANG HONGQIAO FAN XIAOHUA PEI | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,9: | 0
