| 2 | Histone Deacetylase HDA9 and WRKY53 Transcription Factor Are Mutual Antagonists in Regulation of Plant Stress Response显示文摘Epigenetic regulation of gene expression is important for plant adaptation to environm ental changes.Previous results showed that Arabidopsis RPD3-like histone deacetylase HDA9 is known to function in repressing plant response to stress in Arabidopsis.However,how HDA9 targets to specific chromatin loci and controls gene expression netw orks involved in plant response to stress remains largely unclear.Here,we show that HDA9 represses stress tolerance response by interacting with and regulating the DNA binding and transcriptional activity of WRKY53,which functions as a high-hierarchy positive regulator of stress response.We found that WRKY53 is post-translationally modified by lysine acetylation at multiple sites,some of which are removed by HDA9,resulting in inhibition of WRKY53 transcription activity.Conversely,WRKY53 negatively regulates HDA9 histone deacetylase activity.Collectively,our results indicate that HDA9 and WRK53 are reciprocal negative regulators of each other's activities,illustrating how the functional interplay between a chromatin regulator and a transcription factor regulates stress tolerance in plants. | Yu Zheng Jingyu Ge Chun Bao Wenwen Chang Jingjing Liu Jingjie Shao Xiaoyun Liu Lufang Su Lei Pan Dao-Xiu Zhou | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,4: | 6 |

| 5 | Research on the influence of outdoor trees on natural ventilation performance of an academic building显示文摘Planting trees around buildings has always been used as one of the most common viable landscaping strategies in schools.However,the impact of trees on natural ventilation inside the building has been neglected without investigation.The emphasis of this study related to the impact of outdoor trees around the academic building on indoor ventilation.Numerical simulations of the indoor wind environment of the academic building affected by trees were performed utilizing the k-εmodel with additional source terms.The numerical model was also validated by measured data.Two kinds of trees were selected,they are camphor and metasequoia.Camphor is a kind of broad-leaved tree and metasequoia is a kind of coniferous tree.26 simulation cases with six different tree canopy spacings were conducted.These results showed that the outdoor trees had great influences on the natural ventilation performance of the academic building.Compared with the case without the trees,the highest decrement in ventilation flow rate could be up to 31.97%in this study.For the cases of classrooms with horizontal distribution,the ages of air of the classrooms became fresher with the increase of the canopy spacing.While for the cases of classrooms with vertical distribution,the canopy spacing had fewer effects on the natural ventilation performances.It was also found that the blocking effects of camphor on indoor ventilation were higher than that of metasequoia.The average ventilation flow rate in cases with metasequoia was increased by 14.89%compared to the cases with camphor.This study could provide guidance for the layout design of trees around the building. | Shengnan Niu Xiaodong Liu Annan Wang Lufang Chen Xin Zhou Xing Shi Liu Yang Xing Jin | 2023 | Building Simulation2023,16,6: | 0 |

| 7 | Early rehabilitation and neuroprotective drug therapy outcomes in elderly patients with acute stroke显示文摘Sixty elderly patients, who suffered from acute stroke and were admitted within a 1-year period to the Department of Geriatrics in the First Affiliated Hospital of School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, China, underwent early rehabilitation in combination with neuroprotective drug therapy. Limb movement, cognitive functions and daily life self-care ability in elderly patients upon admission and discharge were assessed using the Hunt-Hess scale, functional independence measures and mini-mental state examination. The mean duration of hospital stay among the 60 patients was 35 days. Upon discharge, 42 (75%) of the patients exhibited cognitive impairment to varying degrees, and 25 (45%) of the 56 stroke patients who underwent rehabilitation evaluation attained independence in daily living activities, 11 (20%) required intermittent supervision, and 20 (36%) required 24-hour constant supervision during performance of these activities. | 8 | Serologic study on the outbreak of acute upper respiratory tract infections caused by adenovirus 3显示文摘From April to June,2004,an outbreak of acute upper respiratory tract infections(AURTI)occurred in the north area of Jiangsu Province,China.Twenty throat swabs were collected with 13 of them presenting an adenovirus(Ad)-like cytopathogenic effect on HEp-2.These were verified as Ad by the electron microscope,direct immunofluorescence assay and Ad primer-mediated PCR.Moreover,they were identified as adenovirus type 3(Ad3)by type-specific PCR and sequencing of the amplification products.Subsequent serologic studies were carried out to finally diagnose and document the outbreak.The neutralization test of paired serum of six in nine cases show obviously increased antibodies titers.The positive rate of IgM,IgG and recovery phase neutralization antibodies of the cases were 3.7%,44.4%and 59.5%respectively while those of the controls were 0%,8.3%and 33.3%respectively.The P values of Chi-Square were 0.510,0.018 and 0.226 respectively.The concordance between IgG detected by ELISA and neutralization anti bodies detected by the neutralization test was 61.4%and the P value of Kappa was 0.070.By the serologic study,we can definitively diagnose that this outbreak of acute respiratory infections was caused by Adenovirus 3. | JIANG Lufang JU Liwen JIANG Renjie LIN Yuzun ZHOU Liandi YU Shunzhang JIANG Qingwu | 2007 | Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,2: | 0 |
