| 1 | Patterned growth ofβ-Ga_(2)O_(3) thin films for solar-blind deep-ultraviolet photodetectors array and optical imaging application显示文摘Solar-blind deep-ultraviolet(DUV)photodetectors based on Ga_(2)O_(3)have attracted great attention due to their potential applications for many military and civil purposes.However,the development of device integration for optoelectronic system applications remains a huge challenge.Herein,we report a facile method for patterned-growth of high-qualityβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)thin films,which are assembled into a photodetectors array comprising 8×8 device units.A representative detector exhibits outstanding photoresponse performance,in terms of an ultra-low dark current of 0.62 pA,a large Ilight/Idark ratio exceeding 10^(4),a high responsivity of 0.72 A W^(-1) and a decent specific detectivity of 4.18×10^(11)Jones,upon 265 nm DUV illumination.What is more,the DUV/visible(250/400 nm)rejection ratio is as high as 10^(3) with a sharp response cut-off wave length at 280 nm.Further optoelectronic analysis reveals that the photodetectors array has good uniformity and repeatability,endowing it the capability to serve as a reliable DUV light image sensor with a decent spatial resolution.These results suggest that the proposed technique offers an effective avenue for patterned growth ofβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)thin films for multifunctional DUV optoelectronic applications. | Chao Xie Xingtong Lu Yi Liang Huahan Chen Li Wang Chunyan Wu Di Wu Wenhua Yang Linbao Luo | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,13: | 7 |
| 2 | DISTRIBUTION PATTERNS OF LEAF AREA INDEX FOR MAJOR CONIFEROUS FOREST TYPES IN CHINA显示文摘Leaf area index (LAI) of natural vegetation is recognized as the most important variable for measuring vegetation structure over large areas, and for relating it to energy and mass exchange, which has been successfully estimated from satellite resolution sensors. In this paper, according to the statistical analysis based on a lot of forest plots, the mathematical models of LAI distribution patterns in the hydro thermal spaces for five coniferous forest types in China were established. For the cold temperate larch forests growing in the dry and cold climate, their LAI increases with the increasing of warm index and precipitation in the way of hyperbolic quadratic surface. For the cold temperate spruce fir forests and temperate Pinus tabulaeformis forests, their LAI is negatively related to the annual mean air temperature in the way of the natural exponential curve, in order to adapt to the water oppressed environments. | 3 | Performance improvement of optimization solutions by POD-based data mining显示文摘The performance of an optimized aerodynamic shape is further improved by a second-step optimization using the design knowledge discovered by a data mining technique based on Proper Orthogonal Decomposition(POD) in the present study. Data generated in the first-step optimization by using evolution algorithms is saved as the source data, among which the superior data with improved objectives and maintained constraints is chosen. Only the geometry components of the superior data are picked out and used for constructing the snapshots of POD. Geometry characteristics of the superior data illustrated by POD bases are the design knowledge, by which the second-step optimization can be rapidly achieved. The optimization methods are demonstrated by redesigning a transonic compressor rotor blade, NASA Rotor 37, in the study to maximize the peak adiabatic efficiency, while maintaining the total pressure ratio and mass flow rate.Firstly, the blade is redesigned by using a particle swarm optimization method, and the adiabatic efficiency is increased by 1.29%. Then, the second-step optimization is performed by using the design knowledge, and a 0.25% gain on the adiabatic efficiency is obtained. The results are presented and addressed in detail, demonstrating that geometry variations significantly change the pattern and strength of the shock wave in the blade passage. | 4 | Dual-metal atoms embedded into two-dimensional covalent organic framework as efficient electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction:A DFT study显示文摘The electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is a half-reaction of water-splitting for hydrogen generation,yet suffers from its sluggish kinetics and large overpotential.It is highly desirable to develop efficient and stable OER electrocatalysts for the advancement of water-splitting.Herein,by means of density functional theory(DFT)calculations,we systematically investigated a series of two-dimensional(2D)dual-atom catalysts(DACs)on a novel synthesized covalent organic framework(COF)material as potential efficient catalysts toward the OER.The designed 6 homonuclear(2TM-COF)and 15 heteronuclear(TM1TM2-COF)DACs all exhibit good stability.There is a strong scaling relationship between the adsorption Gibbs free energies of HO*and HOO*intermediates,and the OER overpotential(η^(OER))volcano curve can be plotted as a function ofΔGO*−ΔGHO*.RhIr-COF shows the best OER catalytic activity with aη^(OER)value of 0.29 V,followed by CoNi-COF(0.33 V),RuRh-COF(0.34 V),and NiIrCOF(0.37 V).These four OER DACs exhibit lower onset potential and higher current density than that of the IrO2(110)benchmark catalyst.Aided by the descriptor identification study,the Bader charge that correlated with the Pauling electronegativity of the embedded dual-metal atoms was found to be the most important factor governing the catalytic activity of the OER.Our work highlights a potentially efficient class of 2D COF-based DACs toward the OER. | Yanan Zhou Lanlan Chen Li Sheng Qiquan Luo Wenhua Zhang Jinlong Yang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,9: | 2 |
| 5 | Density functional study on mechanism of CO oxidation with activated water on O/Au(111) surface显示文摘With density functional theory, the mechanism of water-enhanced CO oxidation on oxygen pre-covered Au (111) surface is theoretically studied. First, water is activated by the pre-covered oxygen atom and dissociates to OHads group. Then, OHads reacts with COads to form chemisorbed HOCOads. Finally, with the aid of water, HOCOads dissociates to CO2. The whole process can be described as 1/2H2Oads + H2Oads + 1/2Oads+ COads→H3Oads + CO2, gas. One CO2 is formed with only 1/2 pre-covered oxygen atom. That is why more CO2 is observed when water is present on oxygen pre-covered Au (111) surface. | 11 | Identifying RNA Modifications by Direct RNA Sequencing Reveals Complexity of Epitranscriptomic Dynamics in Rice显示文摘Transcriptome analysis based on high-throughput sequencing of a cDNA library has been widely applied to functional genomic studies.However,the cDNA dependence of most RNA sequencing techniques constrains their ability to detect base modifications on RNA,which is an important element for the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression.To comprehensively profile the N^(6)-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)and N^(5)-methylcytosine(m5 C)modifications on RNA,direct RNA sequencing(DRS)using the latest Oxford Nanopore Technology was applied to analyze the transcriptome of six tissues in rice.Approximately 94 million reads were generated,with an average length ranging from 619 nt to 1013 nt,and a total of 45,707 transcripts across 34,763 genes were detected.Expression profiles of transcripts at the isoform level were quantified among tissues.Transcriptome-wide mapping of m^(6)A and m5 C demonstrated that both modifications exhibited tissue-specific characteristics.The transcripts with m^(6)A modifications tended to be modified by m5 C,and the transcripts with modifications presented higher expression levels along with shorter poly(A)tails than transcripts without modifications,suggesting the complexity of gene expression regulation.Gene Ontology analysis demonstrated that m^(6)A-and m5 C-modified transcripts were involved in central metabolic pathways related to the life cycle,with modifications on the target genes selected in a tissue-specific manner.Furthermore,most modified sites were located within quantitative trait loci that control important agronomic traits,highlighting the value of cloning functional loci.The results provide new insights into the expression regulation complexity and data resource of the transcriptome and epitranscriptome,improving our understanding of the rice genome. | Feng Yu Huanhuan Qi Li Gao Sen Luo Rebecca Njeri Damaris Yinggen Ke Wenhua Wu Pingfang Yang | 2023 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,4: | 1 |

| 19 | Design and in-situ construct BiOI/Bi/TiO_(2)photocatalysts with metal-mediated heterostructures employing oxygen vacancies in TiO_(2)nanosheets显示文摘The conventional p-n heterojunction photocatalysts suffer from the incompatibility between the interfacial charge transfer efficiency and the redox ability of charge carriers.To optimize the interfacial charge transfer of the conventional BiOI/TiO_(2) p-n photocatalyst,we synthesized the BiOI/Bi/TiO_(2) ternary photocatalyst with sandwiched metallic bismuth(Bi~0)by the oxygen-vacancy assisted method.The DFT calculation and structural characterizations confirmed the reaction of the electron-rich oxygen vacancies in the 2D-TiO_(2) nanosheets(TiO_(2)-NS)with the adsorbed BiO~+species.This reaction broke the Bi-O bonds to form Bi^(0) nanoparticles in-situ at the interface but still maintained the p-n heterojunction well.The NO-TPD and XRD analyses for samples correlated the Bi~0 formation with the oxygen vacancy concentrations well.The sandwiched Bi~0 functioned as an electronic transfer mediator like that in the Z-scheme heterostructure.Comparing with 0.20 BiOI/TiO_(2)-NP(NP,Nanoparticles),0.20 BiOI/Bi/TiO_(2)-NS-a(NS,Nanosheet)showed a much improved catalytic performance,i.e.,duplicated apparent quantum yield(AQY)and triplicated reaction rate constant(k).Also,the formation mechanism and the reaction mechanism were investigated in detail.This work provides a new strategy for the improving of the conventional p-n photocatalysts and new insights into the nature of the photocatalysis. | Chenchen Zhang Wenbin Chen Dairong Hu Hanjie Xie Yibing Song Binbin Luo Yiwen Fang Wenhua Gao Ziyi Zhong | 2022 | Green Energy & Environment2022,7,4: | 0 |
