2An experimental analysis of situation awareness for cockpit display interface evaluation based on flight simulation显示文摘Aircraft cockpit display interface (CDI) is one of the most important human-machine interfaces for information perceiving. During the process of aircraft design, situation awareness (SA) is frequently considered to improve the design, as the CDI must provide enough SA for the pilot to maintain the flight safety. In order to study the SA in the pilot-aircraft system, a cockpit flight simulation environment is built up, which includes a virtual instrument panel, a flight visual display and the corresponding control system. Based on the simulation environment, a human-in-the-loop experiment is designed to measure the SA by the situation awareness global assessment technique (SAGAT). Through the experiment, the SA degrees and heart rate (HR) data of the subjects are obtained, and the SA levels under different CDI designs are analyzed. The results show that analyzing the SA can serve as an objective way to evaluate the design of CDI, which could be proved from the consistent HR data. 3A model for discrimination and prediction of mental workload of aircraft cockpit display interface显示文摘With respect to the ergonomic evaluation and optimization in the mental task design of the aircraft cockpit display interface, the experimental measurement and theoretical modeling of mental workload were carried out under flight simulation task conditions using the performance evaluation, subjective evaluation and physiological measurement methods. The experimental results show that with an increased mental workload, the detection accuracy of flight operation significantly reduced and the reaction time was significantly prolonged; the standard deviation of R-R intervals(SDNN) significantly decreased, while the mean heart rate exhibited little change; the score of NASA_TLX scale significantly increased. On this basis, the indexes sensitive to mental workload were screened, and an integrated model for the discrimination and prediction of mental workload of aircraft cockpit display interface was established based on the Bayesian Fisher discrimination and classification method. The original validation and cross-validation methods were employed to test the accuracy of the results of discrimination and prediction of the integrated model, and the average prediction accuracies determined by these two methods are both higher than 85%. Meanwhile, the integrated model shows a higher accuracy in discrimination and prediction of mental workload compared with single indexes. The model proposed in this paper exhibits a satisfactory coincidence with the measured data and could accurately reflect the variation characteristics of the mental workload of aircraft cockpit display interface, thus providing a basis for the ergonomic evaluation and optimization design of the aircraft cockpit display interface in the future.Wei Zongmin Zhuang Damin Wanyan Xiaoru Liu Chen Zhuang Huan 2014Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2014,27,5:17
4Graphitic Carbon Quantum Dots Modified Nickel Cobalt Sulfide as Cathode Materials for Alkaline Aqueous Batteries显示文摘Carbon quantum dots(CQDs)as a new class of emerging materials have gradually drawn researchers’concern in recent years.In this work,the graphitic CQDs are prepared through a scalable approach,achieving a high yield with more than 50%.The obtained CQDs are further used as structure-directing and conductive agents to synthesize novel N,S-CQDs/NiCo2S4 composite cathode materials,manifesting the enhanced electrochemical properties resulted from the synergistic effect of highly conductive N,S-codoped CQDs offering fast electronic transport and unique micro-/nanostructured NiCo2S4 microspheres with Faradaic redox characteristic contributing large capacity.Moreover,the nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide(N-rGO)/Fe2O3 composite anode materials exhibit ultrahigh specific capacity as well as significantly improved rate property and cycle performance originating from the high-capacity prism-like Fe2O3 hexahedrons tightly wrapped by highly conductive N-rGO.A novel alkaline aqueous battery assembled by these materials displays a specific energy(50.2 Wh kg^−1),ultrahigh specific power(9.7 kW kg^−1)and excellent cycling performance with 91.5%of capacity retention at 3 A g^−1 for 5000 cycles.The present research offers a valuable guidance for the exploitation of advanced energy storage devices by the rational design and selection of battery/capacitive composite materials.Yirong Zhu Jingying Li Xiaoru Yun Ganggang Zhao Peng Ge Guoqiang Zou Yong Liu Hongshuai Hou Xiaobo Ji 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,2:10
5Effects of tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes on osteoarthritis显示文摘Osteoarthritis, a disorder characterized by articular cartilage deterioration, varying degrees of inflammation, and chondrocyte apoptosis, is the most common chronic joint disease. To slow or reverse its progression, inflammation should be inhibited, and chondrocyte proliferation should be promoted. Tetrahedral framework nucleic acids can be internalized by chondrocytes(even inflammatory chondrocytes) and can enhance their proliferation and migration. Wogonin, a naturally occurring flavonoid,suppresses oxidative stress and inhibits inflammation. In this study, tetrahedral framework nucleic acids were successfully selfassembled and used to load wogonin. We confirmed the effective formation of tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes by dynamic light scattering, zeta potential analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and fluorescence spectrophotometry. Tetrahedral framework nucleic acids, wogonin, and especially tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes effectively alleviated inflammation in vitro and in vivo and prevented cartilage destruction. In addition, these materials remarkably downregulated the expression of inflammatory mediators and matrix metalloproteinases, upregulated chondrogenic markers, and promoted tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 and B-cell lymphoma 2 expression. In vivo, after treatment with tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes, the bone mineral density in regenerated tissues was much higher than that found in the untreated groups. Histologically, the complexes enhanced new tissue regeneration, significantly suppressed chondrocyte apoptosis, and promoted chondrogenic marker expression. They also inhibited cell apoptosis, increased chondrogenic marker expression, and suppressed the expression of inflammatory mediators in osteoarthritis. 7Mesoporous Graphene Hosts for Dendrite-Free Lithium Metal Anode in Working Rechargeable Batteries显示文摘Lithium(Li) metal anode has received extensive attentions due to its ultrahigh theoretical capacity and the most negative electrode potential. However, dendrite growth severely impedes the practical applications of the Li metal anode in rechargeable batteries. In this contribution, a mesoporous graphene with a high specific surface area was synthesized to host the Li metal anode. The mesoporous graphene host(MGH) has a high specific surface area(2090 m^2/g), which affords free space and an interconnected conductive pathway for Li plating and stripping, thus alleviating the volume variation and reducing the generation of dead Li during repeated cycles. More importantly, the high specific surface area of MGH efficiently reduces the local current density of the electrode, which favors a uniform Li nucleation and plating behavior, rendering a dendritefree deposition morphology at a low overpotential. These factors synergistically boost the Li utilization(90.1% vs. 70.1% for Cu foil) and life span(150 cycles vs. 100 cycles for Cu foil) with a low polarization of MGH electrode at an ultrahigh current of 15.0 mA/cm^2. 8Edge Bundling in Information Visualization显示文摘The edge, which can encode relational data in graphs and multidimensional data in parallel coordinates plots, is an important visual primitive for encoding data in information visualization research. However, when data become very large, visualizations often suffer from visual clutter as thousands of edges can easily overwhelm the display and obscure underlying patterns. Many edge-bundling techniques have been proposed to reduce visual clutter in visualizations. In this survey, we briefly introduce the visual-clutter problem in visualizations. Thereafter, we review the cost-based, geometry-based, and image-based edge-bundling methods for graphs, parallel coordinates, and flow maps. We then describe the various visualization applications that use edge-bundling techniques and discuss the evaluation studies concerning the effectiveness of edge-bundling methods. 9Measurement-based Frequency Dynamic Response Estimation Using Geometric Template Matching and Recurrent Artificial Neural Network显示文摘Understanding power system dynamics after an event occurs is essential for the purpose of online stability assessment and control applications.Wide area measurement systems(WAMS)based on synchrophasors make power system dynamics visible to system operators,delivering an accurate picture of overall operating conditions.However,in actual field implementations,some measurements can be inaccessible for various reasons,e.g.,most notably communication failure.To reconstruct these inaccessible measurements,in this paper,the radial basis function artificial neural network(RBF-ANN)is used to estimate the system dynamics.In order to find the best input features of the RBF-ANN model,geometric template matching(GeTeM)and quality-threshold(QT)clustering are employed from the time series analysis to compute the similarity of frequency dynamic responses in different locations of the power system.The proposed method is tested and verified on the Eastern Interconnection(EI)transmission system in the United States.The results obtained indicate that the proposed approach provides a compact and efficient RBF-ANN model that accurately estimates the inaccessible frequency dynamic responses under different operating conditions and with fewer inputs.Feifei Bai Xiaoru Wang Yilu Liu Xinyu Liu Yue Xiang Yong Liu 2016CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2016,2,3:8
10Information Coding for Cockpit Human-machine Interface显示文摘Pilot needs to process lots of information when operating an aircraft, and reasonable information coding can greatly improve the correct rate and speed of information identification. At present, related researches are mainly performed in the laboratory, and the experiment method for abstract simulation is often used to research single digit information coding. The research results demonstrate a lack of systematization and applicability. The present study is based upon information coding methods of human-machine interface under real time in flight simulators. Subjects are required to perform an aircraft landing and the corresponding experiment task. The correct rate and reaction time are chosen as the performance evaluation indexes, combined with eye movement data. The advantages and disadvantages of different information coding methods are also evaluated and analyzed. The experiment results demonstrate that the effect of color coding on the correct rate of information identification is not significant, but the effect on the speed of information identification is obviously significant. The study demonstrates that on a black background, red, green and yellow are suitable colors for color coding, but blue is not. The position of information on the performance of information identification is also significant. The center of the interface is better than the edge, and the left position is superior to the right. The impact of language and a person's mother tongue should also be considered in practical applications. The study shows that the Chinese has a higher correct rate of identification than English. As the experiment research method in the present study is based on flight simulator, the actual utility and application value can be guaranteed. 13Fabrication of organically modified oxygen sensing film based on fluorescent quenching显示文摘An organically modified silicate (ORMOSIL) as a matrix for oxygen-sensitive sensor, in which di-methyldimethoxysilane was selected as an organic modifier in the precursor, is described. The sensing film with tris-(4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline) ruthenium(II) as an indicator developed in this paper was characterized by efficient quenching by oxygen. Blue light-emitting diodes (λmax = 475 nm) were employed as light excitation source. The linear range of the dissolved oxygen was from 0.5 to 16 μg/mL. The measured RSD was 2%, the response time (t95) was 60 s, and the determination limit was 0.2 μg/mL. 14Behavior and mechanism of graphene oxide-tris(4-aminophenyl)amine composites in adsorption of rare earth elements显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)graphene oxide-tris(4-aminophenyl)amine(GO-TAPAx:y)composites with different GO-to-TAPA mass ratios(x:y)were prepared by a facile one-step ultrasonic treatment.GOTAPAx:y composites were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),nitrogen(N2)adsorption-desorption isotherms,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA).Behavior and mechanism of GO-TAPAx:yco mposites for the adsorption of rare earth elements(REEs)were investigated.The adso rption capacities of GO-TAPA1;2 composite for Yb^3+,Er^3+,Nd^3+,La^3+and Y^3+are 30.88,26.52,20.60,11.24 and 10.52 mg/g,respectively.Effects of some important parameters including GO-to-TAPA mass ratios,contact time,reaction temperature and initial Yb^3+concentration on the adsorption were evaluated in detail.FTIR spectral and XPS analyses show that the metal complexations and ion exchanges between nitrogen/oxygen-containing species of the adsorbents and REEs are involved in the adsorption procedure besides the conventional adsorption based on specific surface area,indicating the introduction of specific molecules onto GO is beneficial to its adsorption ability.The convenient reusability and applicability of GO-TAPAx:y composites toward real samples also demonstrate their feasibility in the enrichment of REE ions.Xiaoru Zhao Xinyu Jiang Dongming Peng Jie Teng Jingang Yu 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,1:3
15Loss of scleraxis leads to distinct reduction of mineralized intermuscular bone in zebrafish显示文摘Intermuscular bones(IBs)are ossified from tendons and only occur in lower teleosts.Positive association between the regulation of scleraxis gene(scx)and tendon development gave us reasons to speculate that the scx gene may play a potential role in regulating the development of IBs.A phylogenetic analysis conducted for this study revealed potential functional differentiation between two scx orthologues,scxa and scxb.The scxa^(-/-) and scxb^(-/-) zebrafish were generated through CRISPR-Cas9 technology to study the role of scx in the IB and rib development.The results showed a significant reduction of the number of IBs in adult scxa-1^(-/-) zebrafish,with almost 70%reduction(15-25 IBs)compared to the wild type scxa-1^(+/+)zebrafish(76-80 IBs).In the scxa-1^(+/+)adults,IBs were observed in both dorsal and tail segments;however,in scxa-1^(-/-)fish IBs were observed only in the tail segment(none in the dorsal segment).Although scxa-1^(-/-) zebrafish had rib defects,the mutants were viable and fertile as adult fish.The scxb^(-/-) zebrafish had the same number of IBs and same skeletal phenotype as the wild-type fish.This suggests that only scxa has a crucial role in the IB development,and confirms functional differentiation of scx orthologues.To further clarify the molecular mechanism by which scxa affects the IB development,we conducted comparative transcriptome analysis of dorsal tissue samples of scxa-1^(+/+)(with IBs)and scxa-1^(-/-) (without IBs),and further verified the expression of key genes via qPCR.This is the first study to identify a gene that controls the amount of IBs in fish,and it provides a new sight into the effects of scxa on the molecular mechanism of IB development in fish.Chunhong Nie Shiming Wan Yulong Chen Dejie Zhu Xudong Wang Xiaoru Dong Ze-Xia Gao 2021Aquaculture and Fisheries2021,6,2:3
16PKM2-dependent glycolysis promotes the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells during atherosclerosis显示文摘Increased glycolysis is involved in the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs).Pyruvate kinase isoform M2(PKM2),a key rate-limiting enzyme in glycolysis,accelerates the proliferation and migration of tumor cells.Although the intracellular mecha nisms associated with oxidized low-density lipoprotein(oxLDL)-stimulated VSMC proliferation and migration have been extensively explored,it is still unclear whether oxLDL promotes the proliferation and migration of VSMCs by enhancing PKM2-dependent glycolysis.In the present study,we detected PKM2 expression and pyruvate kinase activity in oxLDL-treated VSMCs and explored the regulation of PKM2 in oxLDL-treated VSMCs and apoE^-/-mice.The results showed that PKM2 expression in VSMCs was higher in the intima than in the media in plaques from atherosclerotic rabbits.Moreover,PKM2 level in VSMCs was increased during atherosclerosis progression in apoE^-/-mice.Both PKM2 expression and pyruvate kinase activity were found to be upregulated by oxLDL stimulation in VSMCs.Shikonin(SKN),a specific inhibitor of PKM2,was found to inhibit the oxLDL-induced proliferation and migration in VSMCs,in addition to delaying the atherosclerosis progression in apoE^-/-mice.More importantly,oxLDL increased glucose uptake,ATP and lactate production,and the extracellular acidification rate in VSMCs,which could be reversed by SKN.Meanwhile,oxygen consumption rate was unchanged after oxLDL stimulation,suggesting that glycolysis is the main contributor to the energy supply in oxLDL-treated VSMCs.Our results suggest that oxLDL induces VSMC proliferation and migration by upregulating PKM2-dependent glycolysis,thereby contributing to the atherosclerosis progression.Thus,targeting PKM2-dependent glycolysis might provide a novel therapeutic approach for the treatment of atherosclerosis.Xuezhu Zhao Fancheng Tan Xiaoru Cao Zhengyu Cao Bicheng Li Zhaoqian Shen Ye Tian 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,1:3

18Nucleic acids and analogs for bone regeneration显示文摘With the incidence of different bone diseases increasing, effective therapies are needed that coordinate a combination of various technologies and biological materials. Bone tissue engineering has also been considered as a promising strategy to repair various bone defects. Therefore, different biological materials that can promote stem cell proliferation, migration, and osteoblastic differentiation to accelerate bone tissue regeneration and repair have also become the focus of research in multiple fields. Stem cell therapy, biomaterial scaffolds, and biological growth factors have shown potential for bone tissue engineering; however, off-target effects and cytotoxicity have limited their clinical use. The application of nucleic acids(deoxyribonucleic acid or ribonucleic acid)and nucleic acid analogs(peptide nucleic acids or locked nucleic acids), which are designed based on foreign genes or with special structures, can be taken up by target cells to exert different effects such as modulating protein expression, replacing a missing gene, or targeting specific gens or proteins. Due to some drawbacks, nucleic acids and nucleic acid analogs are combined with various delivery systems to exert enhanced effects, but current studies of these molecules have not yet satisfied clinical requirements. In-depth studies of nucleic acid or nucleic acid analog delivery systems have been performed, with a particular focus on bone tissue regeneration and repair. In this review, we mainly introduce delivery systems for nucleic acids and nucleic acid analogs and their applications in bone repair and regeneration. 19Multi?targeted Antisense Oligonucleotide Delivery by a Framework Nucleic Acid for Inhibiting Biofilm Formation and Virulence显示文摘Biofilm formation is responsible for numerous chronic infections and represents a serious health challenge.Bacteria and the extracellular polysaccharides(EPS)cause biofilms to become adherent,toxic,resistant to antibiotics,and ultimately difficult to remove.Inhibition of EPS synthesis can prevent the formation of bacterial biofilms,reduce their robustness,and promote removal.Here,we have developed a framework nucleic acid delivery system with a tetrahedral configuration.It can easily access bacterial cells and functions by delivering antisense oligonucleotides that target specific genes.We designed antisense oligonucleotide sequences with multiple targets based on conserved regions of the VicK protein-binding site.Once delivered to bacterial cells,they significantly decreased EPS synthesis and biofilm thickness.Compared to existing approaches,this system is highly efficacious because it simultaneously reduces the expression of all targeted genes(gtfBCD,gbpB,ftf).We demonstrate a novel nucleic acid-based nanomaterial with multi-targeted inhibition that has great potential for the treatment of chronic infections caused by biofilms.Yuxin Zhang Xueping Xie Wenjuan Ma Yuxi Zhan Chenchen Mao Xiaoru Shao Yunfeng Lin 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,6:3
20Corrosion Mechanism and Corrosion Model of Mg-Y Alloy in NaCl Solution显示文摘Corrosion of Mg–Y alloy was studied using electrochemical evaluations, immersion tests and SEM observations. Corrosion mechanisms of Mg-(0.25 and 2.5) Y alloy and Mg-(5, 8, and 15) Y alloy were uniform corrosion and pitting corrosion respectively, and the content of Mg_(24)Y_5 phases determined its effect acting as cathode to accelerate the corrosion or corrosion barrier to inhibit the corrosion. Corrosion resistance of Mg-(0.25, 2.5, 5, 8, and 15) Y alloys was as follows: Rt(Mg-0.25Y) < Rt(Mg-8Y) < Rt(Mg-15Y) < Rt(Mg-5Y) < Rt(Mg-2.5Y). Y could significantly improve the corrosion resistance of the Mg-Y alloy, but the excess of Y deteriorated the corrosion resistance of the Mg-Y alloy.
