2Effect of KCI on Growth of Carbon Fibers During Carbonization of Phenolic Resin显示文摘Effects of the KCl additions( 1%,3%,5% and7% of the phenolic resin mass) on phase composition and microstructure of the resin carbon and the growth mechanism of carbon fibers were investigated by using commercial liquid phenolic resin as carbon source and micron-scaled KCl as catalyzer,mixing,hexamethylenetetramine solidification treating,carbon-embedded firing at 1 000 ℃ for 3h in order to accelerate the graphitization of phenolic resin during carbonization. The results show that the graphitization degree of resin carbon is improved by catalysis of KCl,numerous carbon fibers with30-200 nm in diameter and 10-20 μm in length and sheet-like carbon in situ grow in resin carbon. The optimal addition of KCl is 5% when lots of carbon fibers can be found in resin carbon,and d002 diffraction peak of graphite appears obviously in the XRD pattern. The growth mechanism of carbon fiber is that the molten KCl at high temperatures absorbs carbonaceous gas from the decomposition of phenolic resin,accelerating the diffusion of solid C atoms in liquid KCl; after the dissolution of C saturates,carbon atoms separate continuously in local parts to form carbon fibers or flakes; meanwhile,the concentration gradient formed by local carbon atoms in the melt offers growth drive for the separation of carbon fibers or flakes on KCl surface.WU Xiaoxian LI Hongxia LIU Guoqi YANG Wengang MA Tianfei 2016China's Refractories2016,25,2:1
3Aβ-Carotene Ketolase Gene NfcrtO from Subaerial Cyanobacteria Confers Drought Tolerance in Rice显示文摘Nostoc flagelliforme is a terrestrial cyanobacterium that can resist many types of stressors,including drought,ultraviolet radiation,and extreme temperatures.In this study,we identified the drought tolerance gene NfcrtO,which encodes aβ-carotene ketolase,through screening the transcriptome of N.flagelliforme under water loss stress.Prokaryotic expression of NfcrtO under 0.6 mol/L sorbitol or under 0.3 mol/L NaCl stress significantly increased the growth rate of Escherichia coli.When NfcrtO was heterologously expressed in rice,the seedling height and root length of NfcrtO-overexpressing rice plants were significantly higher than those of the wild type(WT)plants grown on½Murashige and Skoog solid medium with 120 mmol/L mannitol at the seedling stage.Transcriptome analysis revealed that NfcrtO was involved in osmotic stress,antioxidant,and other stress-related pathways.Additionally,the survival rate of the NfcrtO-overexpression lines was significantly higher than that of the WT line under both hydroponic stress(24%PEG and 100 mmol/L H_(2)O_(2))and soil drought treatment at the seedling stage.Physiological traits,including the activity levels of superoxide dismutase,peroxidase,catalase,total antioxidant capacity,and the contents of proline,trehalose,and soluble sugar,were significantly improved in the NfcrtO-overexpression lines relative to those in the WT line under 20%PEG treatment.Furthermore,when water was withheld at the booting stage,the grain yield per plant of NfcrtO-overexpression lines was significantly higher than that of the WT line.Yeast two-hybrid analysis identified interactions between NfcrtO and Dna J protein,E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase,and pyrophosphate-energized vacuolar membrane proton pump.Thus,heterologous expression of NfcrtO in rice could significantly improve the tolerance of rice to osmotic stress,potentially facilitating the development of new rice varieties.GAO Ningning YE Shuifeng ZHANG Yu ZHOU Liguo MA Xiaosong YU Hanxi LI Tianfei HAN Jing LIU Zaochang LUO Lijun 2024Rice science2024,31,1:0
4Structure Design of SEN for High Efficiency Thin Slab Continuous Casting显示文摘Four-hole submerged entry nozzles(SEN) with different structures were researched using the water simulation test by particle image velocimetry(PIV) and DJ800 hydraulic measurement system to get suitable SEN for high efficiency continuous casting. The influences of the exit area ratio(2∶1∶2,3∶2∶3,1∶1∶1 and 1∶2∶1),upper guide island angle θ(20°,40°,60° and 80°),and lower guide island angle α(60°,80°,100° and120°) on the vortex position in the mold and fluctuations were researched. 5Structure and Material Design of High Performance Functional Refractories for High-speed Continuous Casting显示文摘Functional refractories,including submerged entry nozzle ( SEN) ,ladle shroud and monolithic stopper, are the key refractories for continuous casting. Driven by the demand of high-speed continuous casting,traditional functional refractories fail to meet the needs of long span life,and high performance functional refractories for continuous casting are increasingly required. Through structure and material design,the performance of functional refractories is significantly improved. In this paper,some research advances on functional refractories for continuous casting were mentioned. Through numerical modeling and hot simulation,the service life of non-preheating ladle shroud was increased from 8 h to more than 12 h. 7Full-scale Water Modeling on Flow Field of Continuous Casting Mold显示文摘In the continuous casting process of aluminum killed steel grades,nozzle clogging is a common problem.Argon is usually injected into the casting channel through stoppers or nozzles to minimize clogs;however,complex two-phase flow regimes appear,and the flow in the mold might deteriorate.This could result in a higher defect rate in the cast product and should be avoided as much as possible.Therefore,it is important to understand the interaction between process conditions and the refractory products used and their impact on the flow pattern in the mold.In this study,a full-scale water model was established to simulate the slab casting process.Three nozzle shapes and three immersion depths were applied to investigate the flow behavior and liquid level fluctuations by the full-scale water model.The relationship between the flow behavior and continuous casting parameters was evaluated.The results provide guidance for the design and production of the refractory nozzle and the operation of the continuous casting plant.Hang YE Tianfei MA Gernot HACKL Jianhua LUO Gongjie TAO 2021China's Refractories2021,30,2:0
