| 2 | R11 peptides can promote the molecular imaging of spherical nucleic acids for bladder cancer margin identification显示文摘One of the critical problems in bladder cancer(BC)management is the local recurrence of disease.However,achieving the accurate delineation of tumor margins intraoperatively remains extremely difficult due to the lack of effective tumor margin recognition technology.Herein,survivin molecular beacon(MB)and R11 peptide-linked spherical nucleic acids(SNAs)were synthesized as nanoprobes(AuNP-MB@R11)for sensitive detection of BC margins.Physicochemical properties proved that R11 peptides and survivin MB were successfully loaded onto the surface of SNAs.AuNP-MB@R11 had good stability against nuclease activity and high sensitivity and specificity to detect survivin single strand DNA(ssDNA)in vitro.According to cytology,R11 peptides could increase the BC targeting ability and membrane penetrability of SNAs.Notably,R11 peptides significantly promoted the disintegration of lysosomes and the release of SNAs to enhance fluorescence imaging quality.Further RNA sequencing proved that some genes and pathways related to endocytosis and lysosomes were significantly regulated,such as AGPAT5,GPD1L,and GRB2.In orthotopic BC models and a clinical sample from a patient with BC,AuNP-MB@R11 showed a more legible cancerous fluorescence margin and offered remarkably improved detection compared to those achieved by SNAs.R11 peptide-linked SNAs present promising potential to identify BC margin,which may help to improve the R0 resection rate in surgery and improve patients’quality of life. | Minghai Ma Pu Zhang Xiao Liang Daxiang Cui Qiuya Shao Haibao Zhang Mengzhao Zhang Tao Yang Lu Wang Nan Zhang Minxuan Jing Lu Zhang Weichao Dan Rundong Song Xi Liu Jiatao Hao Yuhang Chen Lijiang Gu Lei Wang Jinhai Fan | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 1 |
| 3 | Modeling and analysis of nano-sized GMRs based on Co,NiFe and Ni materials显示文摘Magnetic simulation method is introduced to analyze giant magnetoresistances(GMRs)in nanoscale for nano-sized biosensors.A spin valve model with special gridding corresponding to the exchange interaction length is proposed to study the influence of easy axes,exchange coefcients,pinning fields and feature widths on magnetization reversals and hysteresis characteristics of nano-sized GMRs with diferent pinned layer and free layer materials of Co,NiFe and Ni.The switching field is found to be almost linear with the pinning field and decrease with the absolute exchange coefcients and the feature widths for the nano-sized GMRs.The increase rate of each depends on the spin valve stacks.Further investigations into variations of the magnetization distribution reveal that the initial magnetization distribution and the magnetization reversal mode depend greatly on easy axes and materials The dependence on easy axes based mainly on the magnetocrystalline anisotropy is illustrated in detail. | YIN Cong JIA Ze MA WeiChao REN TianLing | 2014 | Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,2: | 1 |

| 5 | Purification of four strains of endophytic fungi from Astragalus and their optimized liquid fermentations显示文摘This study was designed to isolate endophytic fungi from A. mongholicus(growing in northeast China) to determine whether they can produce bioactive metabolites. Four strains of endophytic fungi(strains 16, 17, 23 and 75) were successfully isolated from A. mongholicus using the surface disinfection method. According to ITS-rDNA sequences analysis, strains 16 and 75 were identified as Fusarium oxysporum, and strains 17 and 23 were identified as Bionectria ochroleuca. We applied the Box-Behnken design(BBD) to optimize the liquid fermentation conditions and obtain the maximum cell dry weight(CDW) yield. Optimal parameters were obtained under the following experimental conditions: temperature of 28°C, potato dextrose agar(PDA) liquid medium of 80 mL and rotation speed of 150 rpm. The four isolated endophytic fungi did not produce astragalosides I–IV, flavonoids or polysaccharides. | 6 | Genomic analysis provides insights into the westward expansion of domesticated peaches in China显示文摘Peach, an economically important model plant of the Rosaceae family, has been domesticated and cultivated in China for approximately5 000 years. The Hexi Corridor, an important corridor connecting east-central China and the Tarim Basin, is the starting point of the Silk Road that links China and the Eurasian region. As a globally distributed fruit tree, the spread of peach was accomplished through historical trade routes in the Hexi Corridor and the Tarim Basin. However, knowledge of peach genetic diversity in these regions remains limited. In this study,we examined the relationships and the spread history of domesticated peaches through sequencing and genomic analysis of 161 peach accessions collected from Northwest China, including 43 from the Hexi Corridor and 104 from the Tarim Basin. The results indicate that peach landraces in the Hexi Corridor and the Tarim Basin are derivatives of peaches from the east and south of China (ESC). Notably, the genetic diversity of accessions from both the Hexi Corridor and the Tarim Basin was lower than that of ESC accessions. Reduction of diversity (ROD) and linkage disequilibrium (LD) analyses detected a genetic bottleneck in peaches from these regions. Additionally, these peaches have undergone varying degrees of selection from natural environment. Moreover, genes responsive to biotic and abiotic stresses were under selection, which could be the result of the climate change of Northwest China after the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM). Our findings provide a better understanding of the genetic basis of peach migration in Northwest China. | 7 | Exposures to temperature beyond threshold disproportionately reduce vegetation growth in the northern hemisphere显示文摘In recent decades,terrestrial vegetation in the northern hemisphere(NH)has been exposed to warming and more extremely high temperatures.However,the consequences of these changes for terrestrial vegetation growth remain poorly quantifed and understood.By examining a satellite-based vegetation index,tree-ring measurements and land-surface model simulations,we discovered a consistent convex patern in the responses of vegetation growth to temperature exposure(TE)for forest,shrub and grass in both the temperate(30°-50°N)and boreal(50°-70°N)NH during the period of 1982-2012.Te response of vegetation growth to TE for the three vegetation types in both the temperate and boreal NH increased convergently with increasing temperature,until vegetation type-dependent temperature thresholds were reached.A TE beyond these temperature thresholds resulted in disproportionately weak positive or even strong negative responses.Vegetation growth in the boreal NH was more vulnerable to extremely high-temperature events than vegetation growth in the temporal NH.Te non-linear responses discovered here provide new insights into the dynamics of northern terrestrial ecosystems in a warmer world. | Xiuchen Wu Weichao Guo Hongyan Liu Xiaoyan Li Changhui Peng Craig D.Allen Cicheng Zhang Pei Wang Tingting Pei Yujun Ma Yuhong Tian Zhaoliang Song Wenquan Zhu Yang Wang Zongshan Li Deliang Chen | 2019 | National Science Review2019,6,4: | 0 |
