1Relationship between Two Blood Stasis Syndromes and Inflammatory Factors in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome显示文摘Objective: To investigate the relationship between inflammatory factors and two Chinese medicine(CM) syndrome types of qi stagnation and blood stasis(QSBS) and qi deficiency and blood stasis(QDBS) in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS). Methods: Sixty subjects with ACS, whose pathogenesis changes belongs to qi disturbance blood stasis syndrome, were divided into 2 groups: 30 in the QSBS group and 30 in the QDBS group. The comparative analysis on them was carried out through comparing general information, coronary angiography and inflammatory factors including intracellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1), chitinase-3-like protein 1(YKL-40) and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2). Results: Compared with the QSBS group, Lp-PLA2 and YKL-40 levels in the QDBS group showed no-significant difference(P>0.05); ICAM-1 was significantly higher in the QDBS group than in the QSBS group in the pathological processes of qi disturbance and blood stasis syndrome of ACS(P<0.05). 2RESTplus: an improved toolkit for resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data processing显示文摘Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (RS-fMRI)[1,2] provides relatively high spatial and temporal resolution for mapping spontaneous brain activity non-invasively. It has been widely used in cognitive neuroscience and clinical studies. 3The combination of PD-1 blockade with interferon-αhas a synergistic effect on hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Background The efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs),such as programmed cell death protein-1(PD-1)or its ligand 1(PD-L1)antibody,in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is limited,and it is recommended that they be combined with other therapies.We evaluated the combination of pegylated interferon-α(Peg-IFNα)with PD-1 blockade in HCC mouse models.Methods We analyzed the effects of Peg-IFNαon tumor-infiltrating immune cells and PD-1 expression in the HCC immune microenvironment and examined the underlying mechanism of its unique effect on the PD-1 pathway.The in vivo efficacy of anti-PD-1 and Peg-IFNαwas evaluated in both subcutaneous and orthotopic mouse models of HCC.Results The combination of Peg-IFNαwith PD-1 blockade dramatically enhanced T-cell infiltration,improved the efficacy of PD-1 antibody and prolonged mouse survival compared with PD-1 antibody monotherapy.Mechanistically,Peg-IFNαcould recruit cytotoxic CD8+T cells to infiltrate the HCC microenvironment by inducing tumor cells to secrete the chemokine CCL4.Nevertheless,the HCC microenvironment quickly overcame the immune responses by upregulating PD-1 expression in CD8+T cells via the IFNα-IFNAR1-JAK1-STAT3 signaling pathway.The combination of PD-1 blockade with Peg-IFNαcould restore the cytotoxic capacity of CD8+T cells and exerted a significant synergistic effect on HCC.Conclusion These results indicate that in addition to initiating the antitumor immune response itself,Peg-IFNαcan also generate a microenvironment favoring PD-1 blockade.Thus,the combination of Peg-IFNαand PD-1 blockade can be a promising strategy for HCC.Ying Zhu Mo Chen Da Xu Tian-En Li Ze Zhang Jian-Hua Li Xiang-Yu Wang Xin Yang Lu Lu Hu-Liang Jia Qiong-Zhu Dong Lun-Xiu Qin 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,6:6
4First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. 5Insulin-like growth factor 1-induced enolase 2 deacetylation by HDAC3 promotes metastasis of pancreatic cancer显示文摘Enolase 2(ENO2)is a key glycolytic enzyme in the metabolic process of glycolysis,but its potential function in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is unclear.In this study,we observed a significant overexpression of ENO2 in PDAC tissues,and its expression was correlated with metastasis and poor prognosis in PDAC patients.K394 was identified as a major acetylation site in ENO2 that regulates its enzymatic activity,cell metabolism and PDAC progression.Knockdown of ENO2 suppressed tumor growth and liver metastasis in PDAC.Re-expression of wild-type(WT)ENO2,but not the K394 acetylation mimetic mutant,could reverse the decreased tumor malignancy.We further characterized histone deacetylase 3(HDAC3)and P300/CBP-associated factor(PCAF)as the potential deacetylase and acetyltransferase for ENO2,respectively.HDAC3-mediated deacetylation was shown to lead to ENO2 activation and enhancement of glycolysis.Importantly,insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)was found to decrease K394 acetylation and stimulate ENO2 activity in a dose-and time-dependent manner.The PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway facilitated the phosphorylation of HDAC3 on S424,which promoted K394 deacetylation and activation of ENO2.Linsitinib,an oral small-molecule inhibitor of IGF-1R,could inhibit IGF-1-induced ENO2 deacetylation by HDAC3 and the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.Furthermore,linsitinib showed a different effect on the growth and metastasis of PDAC depending on the overexpression of WT versus K394-mutant ENO2.Our results reveal a novel mechanism by which acetylation negatively regulates ENO2 activity in the metastasis of PDAC by modulating glycolysis.Blockade of IGF-1-induced ENO2 deacetylation represents a promising strategy to prevent the development of PDAC.Yan Zheng Chao Wu Jimeng Yang Yue Zhao Huliang Jia Min Xue Da Xu Feng Yang Deliang Fu Chaoqun Wang Beiyuan Hu Ze Zhang Tianen Li Shican Yan Xuan Wang Peter J.Nelson Christiane Bruns Lunxiu Qin Qiongzhu Dong 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:3
6Field Transmission of 100G and Beyond:Multiple Baud Rates and Mixed Line Rates Using Nyquist-WDM Technology显示文摘In this paper,we describe successful joint experiments with Deutsche Telecom on long-haul transmission of 100G and beyond over standard single mode fiber (SSMF) and with in-line EDFA-only amplification.The transmission link consists of 8 nodes and 950 km installed SSMF in DT's optical infrastructure.Laboratory SSMF was added for extended optical reach.The first field experiment involved transmission of 8 × 216.8 Gbit/s Nyquist-WDM signals over 1750 km with 21.6 dB average loss per span.Each channel,modulated by a 54.2 Gbaud PDM-CSRZ-QPSK signal,is on a 50 GHz grid,which produces a net spectral efficiency (SE) of 4 bit/s/Hz.We also describe mixed-data-rate transmission coexisting with 1T,400G,and 100G channels.The 400G channel uses four independent subcarriers modulated by 28 Gbaud PDM-QPSK signals.This yields a net SE of 4 bit/s/Hz,and 13 optically generated subcarriers from a single optical source are used in the 1T channel with 25 Gbaud PDM-QPSK modulation.The 100G signal uses real-time coherent PDM-QPSK transponder with 15% overhead of soft-decision forward-error correction (SD-FEC).The digital post filter and 1-bit maximum-likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) are introduced at the receiver DSP to suppress noise,linear crosstalk,and filtering effects.Our results show that future 400G and 1T channels that use Nyquist WDM can transmit over long-haul distances with higher SE and using the same QPSK format.Zhensheng Jia Jianjun Yu Hung-Chang Chien Ze Dong Di Huo 2012ZTE Communications2012,10,3:2

8A QoE-based cell range expansion scheme in heterogeneous cellular networks显示文摘Deploying low-power nodes(LPNs) overlaid with Macro cells is a promising strategy to improve the coverage and capacity of cellular systems. Meanwhile, cell range expansion(CRE) scheme is proposed to select a proper serving base station(BS) for users between Macro e Node Bs and LPNs, and then offloading of traffic from Macro cell is made. In this paper, first, we introduce the LPNs deployment strategy and its activation criteria in the heterogeneous system. Then, a quality of experience(Qo E)-based CRE scheme to adjust the coverage area of LPNs adaptively is proposed. Different from the existing CRE schemes, the Qo E values for different users with different services are considered when the users try to select an appropriate serving BS. 9Bio-inspired self-folding strategy to break the trade-off between strength and ductility in carbon-nanoarchitected materials显示文摘Graphene possesses extraordinary mechanical,electronic,and thermal properties,thus making it one of the most promising building blocks for constructing macroscopic high performance and multifunctional materials.However,the common material strength–ductility paradox also appears in the carbon-nanoarchitected materials and some of the key mechanical performance,for example,the tensile strength of graphene-based materials,are still far lower than that of graphene.Inspired by the exceptional mechanical performance of silk protein benefiting from the conformations of folded structures as well as their transitions,this work proposed a topological strategy to yield graphene-based materials with ultrahigh ductility while maintaining decent tensile strength by self-folding graphene sheets.This drastically improved mechanical performance of graphene-based materials is attributed to the exploitation of shearing,sliding,and unfolding deformation at the self-folded interface.Molecular dynamics simulations show that both modulating self-folded length and engineering interface interaction can effectively control the strength,ductility,and the ductile failure of van der Waals interfaces among the self-folded structures,where interfacial shearing,sliding,and unfolding open channels to dissipate mechanical energy.Based on the insights into the atomic-scale deformation by molecular dynamics simulations,the underlying mechanism of deformation and failure of these materials is finally discussed with a continuum mechanics-based model.Our findings bring perceptive insights into the microstructure design of strong-yet-ductile materials for load-bearing engineering applications.Xiangzheng Jia Ze Liu Enlai Gao 2020npj Computational Materials2020,,1:2
10Tab engineering-mediated resistance of flexible lithium-ion batteries for high output current显示文摘Flexible lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) have received tremendous interest because they can provide essential flexible power for the emerging wearable electronics.However,the realization of the flexibility of LIBs is often related to flexible substrates with high electrical resistance,which results in voltage loss of the battery and is unfavorable for their practical applications.In this work,we demonstrated the use of tab engineering to mediate the resistance of flexible batteries for high current output.The resistance of the obtained pouch cell can be decreased sharply and the output current can be significantly increased by a continuous tab with desirable power and energy density.The surprising performance of the flexible LIBs allows the tab on the current collector providing enough channels for electron transfer,thus enabling electrons to be transferred quickly and enhancing the electrochemical reaction kinetics.Such a flexible battery with sufficient output current could possibly solve some of the most critical problems for their practical applications in wearable electronics.Shi Kui Jia Bin Ze Yang Chao Feng Zhao Zhi Yong Zhang Yan Hong Yin Xian Bin Liu Ying Yan Hu Zi Ping Wu 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,7:1
11Amisulpride augmentation therapy improves cognitive performance and psychopathology in clozapine‑resistant treatment‑refractory schizophrenia:a 12‑week randomized,double‑blind,placebo‑controlled trial显示文摘Background:Although clozapine is an effective option for treatment-resistant schizophrenia(TRS),there are still 1/3 to 1/2 of TRS patients who do not respond to clozapine.The main purpose of this randomized,double-blind,placebocontrolled trial was to explore the amisulpride augmentation efficacy on the psychopathological symptoms and cognitive function of clozapine-resistant treatment-refractory schizophrenia(CTRS)patients.Methods:A total of 80 patients were recruited and randomly assigned to receive initial clozapine plus amisulpride(amisulpride group)or clozapine plus placebo(placebo group).Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS),Scale for the Assessment of Negative Symptoms(SANS),Clinical Global Impression(CGI)scale scores,Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status(RBANS),Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS),laboratory measurements,and electrocardiograms(ECG)were performed at baseline,week 6,and week 12.Results:Compared with the placebo group,amisulpride group had a lower PANSS total score,positive subscore,and general psychopathology subscore at week 6 and week 12(PBonferroni<0.01).Furthermore,compared with the placebo group,the amisulpride group showed an improved RBANS language score at week 12(PBonferroni<0.001).Amisulpride group had a higher treatment response rate(P=0.04),lower scores of CGI severity and CGI efficacy at week 6 and week 12 than placebo group(PBonferroni<0.05).There were no differences between the groups in body mass index(BMI),corrected QT(QTc)intervals,and laboratory measurements.This study demonstrates that amisulpride augmentation therapy can safely improve the psychiatric symptoms and cognitive performance of CTRS patients.Ming‑Huan Zhu Zhen‑Jing Liu Qiong‑Yue Hu Jia‑Yu Yang Ying Jin Na Zhu Ying Huang Dian‑Hong Shi Min‑Jia Liu Hong‑Yang Tan Lei Zhao Qin‑Yu Lv Zheng‑Hui Yi Feng‑Chun Wu Ze‑Zhi Li 2023Military Medical Research2023,10,4:1

13A comparison on DNA methylation levels in bamboo at five developmental stages显示文摘Bamboo shoots grow quickly through the rapid elongation of internodes. In order to verify whether DNA methylation affects bamboo shoot elongation, we compared DNA methylation levels at five developmental stages of bamboo (Phyllostachys praecox), including young bamboo shoot of 40-cm at length (S1), bamboo shoot of 2-cm at length (S2), young leaf (Y1), leaf (Y2), and aging leaf (M), by using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) based on KpnI/MseI and Acc65I/MseI platforms. The polymorphism ratio of methylated to unmethylated DNA sites in bamboo shoot (S1 and S2) was higher than that in leaf (Y1, Y2 and M). The polymorphism ratio of methylated to unmethylated DNA sites in S2 was highest (32%). 14Modeling and analysis of nano-sized GMRs based on Co,NiFe and Ni materials显示文摘Magnetic simulation method is introduced to analyze giant magnetoresistances(GMRs)in nanoscale for nano-sized biosensors.A spin valve model with special gridding corresponding to the exchange interaction length is proposed to study the influence of easy axes,exchange coefcients,pinning fields and feature widths on magnetization reversals and hysteresis characteristics of nano-sized GMRs with diferent pinned layer and free layer materials of Co,NiFe and Ni.The switching field is found to be almost linear with the pinning field and decrease with the absolute exchange coefcients and the feature widths for the nano-sized GMRs.The increase rate of each depends on the spin valve stacks.Further investigations into variations of the magnetization distribution reveal that the initial magnetization distribution and the magnetization reversal mode depend greatly on easy axes and materials The dependence on easy axes based mainly on the magnetocrystalline anisotropy is illustrated in detail.YIN Cong JIA Ze MA WeiChao REN TianLing 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,2:1

19A dual-regulation strategy of B/N codoped CNT-encapsulated Ni nanoparticles as a catalytic host and separator coating promises high-performance Li-S batteries显示文摘A dual-regulation strategy of adopting B/N codoped carbon nanotube-encapsulated nickel nanoparticles(Ni@BNCNT) as a sulfur host and separator coating is proposed for high-performance Li-S batteries. On the cathode side, the 3D conductive network structure of Ni@BNCNT is favorable for high sulfur utilization, and the collaboration between polar metal Ni nanoparticles(NPs) and doped B/N elements facilitates the chemical adsorption of Li polysulfides(Li PSs). In addition, these metal Ni NPs exhibit a satisfactory catalytic effect on the polysulfide conversion. Moreover, using the Ni@BNCNT interlayer can further capture the soluble Li PSs, make them convert quickly, and prevent them from diffusing toward the anode side. The Li-S batteries simultaneously equipped with a S/Ni@BNCNT cathode and Ni@BNCNT interlayer show high reversible capacity and good cycle stability. Additionally, even at a sulfur loading of 3.5 mg cm;and an electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 3 μL mg;, excellent battery performance can be achieved.
