| 7 | Electron transfer governed by light-matter interaction at metal-semiconductor interface显示文摘The photoexcitation of heterostructures consisting of metallic nanoclusters and a semiconductor has been extensively investigated in relation to interests in photocatalysis and optical devices. The optoelectronic functions of the heterostructures originate from localized surface plasmon resonance, which can induce electron and resonance energy transfers. While it is well known that photoinduced electronic interaction between a metallic nanocluster and a semiconductor is responsible for the resonance energy transfer, the electron transfer associated with the photoinduced electronic interaction has not been discussed. In this paper,we elucidate the photoexcitation dynamics of a silver nanocluster/TiO_(2) heterostructure using an original first-principles computational approach that explicitly deals with light–matter interactions. It is shown that the photoinduced silver–TiO_(2) electronic interaction causes excited electrons to be directly transferred from the silver nanocluster to the TiO2 layer without passing through the conduction band of the silver nanocluster. | Kenji Iida Masashi Noda | 2020 | npj Computational Materials2020,,1: | 0 |
| 8 | Update on gut microbiota in gastrointestinal diseases显示文摘The human gut is a complex microbial ecosystem comprising approximately 100 trillion microbes collectively known as the“gut microbiota”.At a rough estimate, the human gut microbiome contains almost 3.3 million genes, which are about 150 times more than the total human genes present in the human genome. The vast amount of genetic information produces various enzymes and physiologically active substances. Thus, the gut microbiota contributes to the maintenance of host health;however, when healthy microbial composition is perturbed,a condition termed“dysbiosis”,the altered gut microbiota can trigger the development of various gastrointestinal diseases. The gut microbiota has consequently become an extremely important research area in gastroenterology. It is also expected that the results of research into the gut microbiota will be applied to the prevention and treatment of human gastrointestinal diseases.A randomized controlled trial conducted by a Dutch research group in 2013 showed the positive effect of fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)on recurrent Clostridioides difficile infection(CDI).These findings have led to the development of treatments targeting the gut microbiota, such as probiotics and FMT for inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD)and other diseases. This review focuses on the association of the gut microbiota with human gastrointestinal diseases, including CDI,IBD,and irritable bowel syndrome. We also summarize the therapeutic options for targeting the altered gut microbiota, such as probiotics and FMT. | Atsushi Nishida Kyohei Nishino Masashi Ohno Keitaro Sakai Yuji Owaki Yoshika Noda Hirotsugu Imaeda | 2022 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2022,10,22: | 0 |
| 9 | Case of plasmablastic lymphoma of the sigmoid colon and literature review显示文摘Plasmablastic lymphoma(PBL) is a rare form of nonHodgkin's lymphoma that is associated with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) infection. Although PBL is most commonly observed in the oral cavity of HIV-positive patients, it can also be observed at extra-oral sites in HIV-negative patients. This report represents an unusual case of HIV-negative PBL that occurred in the sigmoid colon. This patient had a history of systemic lupus erythematosus and an underlying immunosuppressive state from long term steroid therapy. The lymphoma cells were positive for CD138, kappa light chain restriction and Epstein-Barr virus and negative for CD20/L26, CD3, CD79 a, UCHL1(CD45RO) and cytokeratin(AE1/AE3). The patient died approximately 2 mo after the operation. In the present paper, we review cases of PBL of the colon in HIVnegative patients. | Tomoko Haramura Masashi Haraguchi Junji Irie Shinichiro Ito Hirotaka Tokai Kazumasa Noda Masachika Kitajima Shigeki Minami Keiji Inoue Yuya Sasaki Koichi Oshima Susumu Eguchi | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,24: | 0 |
