2Heat exposure promotes apoptosis and pyroptosis in Sertoli cells显示文摘Heat stress is an important influence on the male reproductive organs.Therefore,the effects of heat stress on genes or pathways related to the reproductive system of male mice were experimentally explored in this paper to further determine the effects of heat stimulation on mammals.Herein,models of heat-exposed mouse testicular tissue and heatexcited cells were successfully established.Many scorched vesicles were found after heat excitation of testis supporting cells,testicular mesenchymal(TM4)cells.Western blot,in situ terminal deoxynucleotide transferase dUTP Nick end labeling(TUNEL)and transmission electron microscopy showed that membrane rupture,mitochondrial damage and autophagic vesicles occurred in TM4 cells after thermal excitation.The N-segment fragment of the associated protein shear was increased,and the TUNEL result was positive.In conclusion,thermal excitation induced apoptosis and scorch death in TM4 cells.Thus,the Hippo pathway and apoptosis-related pathway were significantly enriched after heat stimulation in mouse testis,and the scorch death effect in TM4 cells was induced by heat excitation.CHEN WANG CHAOFAN HE YUANYUAN GAO KAIXIAN WANG MENG LIANG 2023BIOCELL2023,47,1:0
3Effects of phosphorylated ovalbumin on the quality of pork myofibrillar protein gel:an insight into gelling and physicochemical properties显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the effects of phosphorylated-ovalbumin(P-OVA)at different concentrations(0.5%and 1.0%)on the gel properties of pork myofibrillar protein(MP).The results showed that the textural properties such as gel hardness,cohesiveness,springiness and chewiness were improved with P-OVA addition at 0.5%.The water holding capacity(up to 75.89%)and gel strength(up to 168.56 g·mm)of MP gel were markedly increased after P-OVA addition.The absolute value of zeta potential reached 13.85 mV and maximum hydrophobicity(15.2μg)resulted from the addition of 0.5%P-OVA.The storage modulus(G’)and loss modulus(G’’)of MP gel were significantly increased from 50°C,and the G’and G’’significantly increased after 1.0%P-OVA addition,evidencing that the cross-linking effect of MP protein gel was enhanced.In addition,the P-OVA addition improved the structure of MP gel protein by reducing theα-helix,while increasing theβ-sheet and the r-value(the ratio between two ultraviolet second-derivative peak-to-trough distances),which further promoted the uniform and compact gel network structure.This work demonstrated that P-OVA is a highly effective modifier that significantly improves the quality of MP gel.From a view of practice,0.5%P-OVA is the optimal addition amount.Zhihui Yu Yating Gao Meng Wu Chaofan Zhao Xiubin Liu Xiaoyu Zhang Lixin Zhang Yisheng Chen 2024Journal of Future Foods2024,4,2:0
4Effective purification of oily wastewater using lignocellulosic biomass:A review显示文摘Due to the frequent occurrence of oil spills and the large-scale production of oily wastewater, the treatment of oily sewage has become an important issue for sustainable development. Recently, materials prepared from lignocellulosic biomass(LCB) for oil-water separation have been found to be effective due to their high separation efficiency, good recyclability, and superior sustainability. However, few reviews have focused on the advantages and limitations of LCB for sewage treatment. This review summarizes the performance of modified LCB in oily wastewater treatment, in terms of the advanced modification methods applied and the structural dimensions of LCB materials according to the principle of superwetting oil-water separation. Research on the preparation technologies, separation mechanisms, and treatment efficiency of different LCB materials are briefly summarized, along with the characteristics of different LCB material types for oily wastewater treatment.
