| 3 | Simulated effect of soil freeze-thaw process on surface hydrologic and thermal fluxes in frozen ground region of the Northern Hemisphere显示文摘Soil freeze-thaw process is closely related to surface energy budget,hydrological activity,and terrestrial ecosystems.In this study,two numerical experiments(including and excluding soil freeze-thaw process)were designed to examine the effect of soil freeze-thaw process on surface hydrologic and thermal fluxes in frozen ground region in the Northern Hemisphere based on the state-of-the-art Community Earth System Model version 1.0.5.Results show that in response to soil freeze-thaw process,the area averaged soil temperature in the shallow layer(0.0175−0.0451 m)decreases by 0.35℃in the TP(Tibetan Plateau),0.69℃in CES(Central and Eastern Siberia),and 0.6℃in NA(North America)during summer,and increases by 1.93℃in the TP,2.28℃in CES and 1.61℃in NA during winter,respectively.Meanwhile,in response to soil freeze-thaw process,the area averaged soil liquid water content increases in summer and decrease in winter.For surface heat flux components,the ground heat flux is most significantly affected by the freeze-thaw process in both summer and winter,followed by sensible heat flux and latent heat flux in summer.In the TP area,the ground heat flux increases by 2.82 W/m2(28.5%)in summer and decreases by 3.63 W/m2(40%)in winter.Meanwhile,in CES,the ground heat flux increases by 1.89 W/m2(11.3%)in summer and decreases by 1.41 W/m2(18.6%)in winter.The heat fluxes in the Tibetan Plateau are more susceptible to the freeze-thaw process compared with the high-latitude frozen soil regions.Soil freeze-thaw process can induce significant warming in the Tibetan Plateau in winter.Also,this process induces significant cooling in high-latitude regions in summer.The frozen ground can prevent soil liquid water from infiltrating to deep soil layers at the beginning of thawing;however,as the frozen ground thaws continuously,the infiltration of the liquid water increases and the deep soil can store water like a sponge,accompanied by decreasing surface runoff.The influence of the soil freeze-thaw process on surface hydrologic and thermal fluxes varies seasonally and spatially. | Di Ma SiQiong Luo DongLin Guo ShiHua Lyu XianHong Meng BoLi Chen LiHui Luo | 2021 | Research in Cold and Arid Regions2021,13,1: | 4 |

| 10 | Analytical solution of ground-borne vibration due to a spatially periodic harmonic moving load in a tunnel embedded in layered soil显示文摘In this study,we propose a novel coupled periodic tunnel–soil analytical model for predicting ground-borne vibrations caused by vibration sources in tunnels.The problem of a multilayered soil overlying a semi-infinite half-space was solved using the transfer matrix method.To account for the interactions between the soil layer and tunnel structure,the transformation characteristics between cylindrical waves and plane waves were considered and used to convert the corresponding wave potentials into forms in terms of the Cartesian or cylindrical coordinate system.The induced ground-borne vibration was obtained analytically by applying a spatially periodic harmonic moving load to the tunnel invert.The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed model were verified by comparing the results under a moving constant and harmonic load with those from previous studies.Subsequently,the response characteristics under a spatially periodic harmonic moving load were identified,and the effects of a wide range of factors on the responses were systematically investigated.The numerical results showed that moving and Doppler effects can be caused by a spatially periodic harmonic moving load.The critical frequency and frequency bandwidth of the response are affected by the load type,frequency,velocity,and wavenumber in one periodicity length.Increasing the tunnel depth is an efficient way to reduce ground-borne vibrations.The effect of vibration amplification on the free surface should be considered to avoid excessive vibration levels that disturb residents. | Lihui XU Meng MA | 2023 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2023,24,7: | 0 |

| 12 | Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal(HPG)Axis and Transcriptional Regulatory Elements Regulate piwil2 Gene Expression During Gametogenesis and Gonadal Development in Japanese Flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus)显示文摘The P-element induced wimpy testis(Piwi)proteins,which are associated with PIWI-interacting RNAs(piRNAs),play important roles in meiosis,germ cell division,and germline maintenance.In this study,we identified and characterized the Paralichthys olivaceus piwil2 gene,a constituent factor of the piRNA pathways involved in the biogenesis of reproductive development.The biological analysis indicated that piwil2,which contains PAZ and PIWI domains,was highly conserved between teleosts and tetrapods.The piwil2 distribution profile in different tissues confirmed a sexually dimorphic expression pattern,with a higher expression level in testis.In situ hybridization demonstrated that piwil2 was expressed in the oogonia and oocytes of the ovaries as well as in the Sertoli cells and spermatocytes of the testes.Gene piwil2 showed a maternally inherited expression pattern during embryonic development,and was highly expressed during the early embryonic development.Different luciferase reporters were constructed to determine the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms of piwil2.The piwil2 core promoter region was located at−360 bp to−60 bp.Furthermore,some representative sex hormones,including human chorionic gonadotropin,17α-methyltestosterone,and estradiol-17βhad distinct regulatory effects on piwil2.In a summery,these results indicate that piwil2,regulated by sex hormones and transcriptional elements,has vital functions in the reproductive cycle and gonadal development. | NI Feifei YU Haiyang QU Jiangbo MENG Lihui LIU Xiumei YAN Weijie CHANG Jing ZHANG Quanqi WANG Xubo YU Haiyang | 2020 | Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,6: | 0 |
| 13 | Mussel-inspired Methacrylic Gelatin-dopamine/Ag Nanoparticles/Graphene Oxide Hydrogels with Improved Adhesive and Antibacterial Properties for Applications as Wound Dressings显示文摘A novel strategy was developed to prepare the methacrylic gelatin-dopamine(GelMA-DA)/Ag nanoparticles(NPs)/graphene oxide(GO) composite hydrogels with good biocompatibility,mechanical properties,and antibacterial activity.Mussel-inspired DA was utilized to modify the GelMA molecules,which imparts good adhesive performance to the hydrogels.GO,interfacial enhancer,not only improves mechanical properties of the hydrogels,but also provides anchor sites for loading Ag NPs through numerous oxygencontaining functional groups on the surface.The experimental results show that the GelMA/Ag NPs/GO hydrogels have good biocompatibility,and exhibit a swelling rate of 202±16%,the lap shear strength of 147±17 kPa,and compressive modulus of 136±53 kPa,in the case of the Ag NPs/GO content of 2 mg/mL.Antibacterial activity of the hydrogels against both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria is dependent on the Ag NPs/GO content derived from the release of Ag^(+).Furthermore,the GelMA/Ag NPs/GO hydrogels possess good adhesive ability,which is resistant to highly twisted state when stuck on the surface of pigskin.These results demonstrate promising potential of the GelMA-DA/Ag NPs/GO hydrogels as wound dressings for biomedical applications in clinical and emergent treatment. | 宿正楠 HU Yanru MENG Lihui OUYANG Zhiyuan LI Wenchao ZHU Fang XIE Bin 吴庆知 | 2024 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2024,39,2: | 0 |
