2体力活动、久坐、身体素质与1型和2型糖尿病年轻患者健康预后的关系:对流行病学文献的综述(英文)显示文摘Diabetes is a leading chronic disease of childhood and adolescence.In addition to the well-known auto-immune,insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus(type 1 diabetes(T1D)),the past two decades have witnessed the emergence of type 2 diabetes(T2D) in children and adolescents,which previously was only seen in middle-aged or older adults.One of the key components of diabetes management is physical activity(PA).The beneficial effects of increased PA and decreased sedentary behavior are extremely important in youth with diabetes because of the markedly increased long-term risk of cardiovascular disease in this population compared to persons without diabetes.This review aims to comprehensively summarize the epidemiologic,observational research published and listed in PubMed between 1970 and 2012 on PA and sedentary behaviors,as well as physical fitness in children and adolescents with TID and T2D.Additionally,we describe briefly the state of knowledge on perceived barriers of PA in persons with diabetes,with a focus on hypoglycemia.Finally,we provide an overview of the epidemiological literature pertaining to health benefits of increased PA in youth with TID and T2D and briefly discuss the topic of exercise-related hypoglycemia.Angela D. 3Chemical Compositions and Distribution Characteristics of Cements in Longmaxi Formation Shales, Southwest China显示文摘Shale gas resources have been regarded as a viable energy source, and it is of great significance to characterize the shale composition of different cements, such as quartz and dolomite. In this research, chemical analysis and the multifractal method have been used to study the mineral compositions and petrophysical structures of cements in shale samples from the Longmaxi Formation, China. X-ray diffraction, electron microprobe, field emission scanning electron microscopy, cathodoluminescence microscopy and C-O isotope analyses confirmed that cements in the Longmaxi Formation shales are mainly composed of Fe-bearing dolomite and quartz. Fe-bearing dolomite cements concentrate around dolomite as annuli, filling micron-sized inorganic primary pores. Quartz cements in the form of nanoparicles fill primary inter-crystalline pores among clay minerals. Theoretical calculation shows that the Fe-bearing dolomite cements formed slightly earlier than the quartz cements, but both were related to diagenetic illitization of smectite. Moreover, multifractal analysis reveals that the quartz cements are more irregularly distributed in pores than the Fe-bearing dolomite cements. These results suggest that the plugging effect of the quartz cements on the primary inoraganic pore structures is the dominant factor resulting in low interconnected porosity of shales, which are unfavorable for the enrichment of shale gas.Wenda Zhou Shuyun Xie Zhengyu Bao Emmanuel John M. 4Antibiotic Resistance Genes in the Human-Impacted Environment:A One Health Perspective显示文摘Antibiotic resistance and its environmental component are gaining more attention as part of combating the growing healthcare crisis. The One Health framework, promulgated by many global health agencies, recognizes that antimicrobial resistance is a truly inter-domain problem in which human health, animal agriculture, and the environment are the core and interrelated components.This prospectus presents the status and issues relevant to the environmental component of antibiotic resistance, namely, the needs for advancing surveillance methodology: the environmental reservoirs and sources of resistance, namely, urban wastewater treatment plants, aquaculture production systems, soil receiving manure and biosolid, and the atmosphere which includes longer range dispersal.Recently, much work has been done describing antibiotic resistance genes in various environments;now quantitative, mechanistic,and hypothesis-driven studies are needed to identify practices that reduce real risks and maintain the effectiveness of our current antibiotics as long as possible. Advanced deployable detection methods for antibiotic resistance in diverse environmental samples are needed in order to provide the surveillance information to identify risks and define barriers that can reduce risks. Also needed are practices that reduce antibiotic use and thereby reduce selection for resistance, as well as practices that limit the dispersal of or destroy antibiotic-resistant bacteria or their resistance genes that are feasible for these varied environmental domains.James M. 5Recently duplicated sesterterpene(C25) gene clusters in Arabidopsis thaliana modulate root microbiota显示文摘Land plants co-speciate with a diversity of continually expanding plant specialized metabolites(PSMs) and root microbial communities(microbiota).Homeostatic interactions between plants and root microbiota are essential for plant survival in natural environments.A growing appreciation of microbiota for plant health is fuelling rapid advances in genetic mechanisms of controlling microbiota by host plants.PSMs have long been proposed to mediate plant and single microbe interactions.However,the effects of PSMs,especially those evolutionarily new PSMs,on root microbiota at community level remain to be elucidated.Here,we discovered sesterterpenes in Arabidopsis thaliana,produced by recently duplicated prenyltransferase-terpene synthase(PT-TPS) gene clusters,with neo-functionalization.A single-residue substitution played a critical role in the acquisition of sesterterpene synthase(sesterTPS) activity in Brassicaceae plants.Moreover,we found that the absence of two root-specific sesterterpenoids,with similar chemical structure,significantly affected root microbiota assembly in similar patterns.Our results not only demonstrate the sensitivity of plant microbiota to PSMs but also establish a complete framework of host plants to control root microbiota composition through evolutionarily dynamic PSMs.Qingwen Chen Ting Jiang Yong-Xin Liu Haili Liu Tao Zhao Zhixi Liu Xiangchao Gan Asis Hallab Xuemei Wang Juan He Yihua Ma Fengxia Zhang Tao Jin M. 6Simultaneous removal of chromium and arsenate from contaminated groundwater by ferrous sulfate:Batch uptake behavior显示文摘Chromium and/or arsenate removal by Fe(II) as a function of pH,Fe(II) dosage and initial Cr(VI)/As(V) ratio were examined in batch tests.The presence of arsenate reduced the removal efficiency of chromium by Fe(II),while the presence of chromate significantly increased the removal efficiency of arsenate by Fe(II) at pH 6-8.In the absence of arsenate,chromium removal by Fe(II) increased to a maximum with increasing pH from 4 to 7 and then decreased with a further increase in pH.The increment in Fe(II) dosage resulted in an improvement in chromium removal and the improvement was more remarkable under alkaline conditions than that under acidic conditions.Chromium removal by Fe(II) was reduced to a larger extent under neutral and alkaline conditions than that under acidic conditions due to the presence of 10 μmol/L arsenate.The presence of 20 μmol/L arsenate slightly improved chromium removal by Fe(II) at pH 3.9-5.8,but had detrimental effects at pH 6.7-9.8.Arsenate removal was improved significantly at pH 4-9 due to the presence of 10 μmol/L chromate at Fe(II) dosages of 20-60 μmol/L.Elevating the chromate concentration from 10 to 20 μmol/L resulted in a further improvement in arsenate removal at pH 4.0-4.6 when Fe(II) was dosed at 30-60 μmol/L.Xiaohong Guan Haoran Dong Jun Ma Irene M. 7High-Temperature Oxidation Behavior of a Ni-Cr-W-Al Alloy显示文摘A study was conducted to examine the isothermal oxidation behavior of a new Ni-Cr-W-Al alloy in air at 1250℃ with different time. Oxidation kinetics was determined from weight-change measurements. The microstructure and composition of the oxide scale were investigated by means of scanning electron microcopy and X-ray diffraction. The results showed that the oxide scales of the alloy were a compact and continuous outer Cr2O3 and NiCr2O4 layer and an inner Al2O3 layer that was in dendrite shape. 8Effects of Boron Addition on Grain Refinement in TiAl-based Alloys显示文摘Solid state phase transformation characteristics of the body centred β(Ti) into the hexagonal closed packed α(Ti) in Ti45Al8Nb-(0, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.8 at. pct) B alloys were investigated by heat treatment to clarify γ/α2 lamellar microstructure refinement induced by B addition. Experimental results confirmed two kinds of boron-reduced grain refinement mechanisms through refining either β phase then α phase (β-refinement) or α phase directly (α-refinement) to refine lamellar microstructure at room temperature; however, the role of α-refinement dominated the as-cast lamellar microstructure refinement over β-refinement in Ti45Al8NbxB alloy. It was also found that during the α-refinement the convoluted flake- and plate-like borides along β grain boundaries assisted nucleation of α phase, and the particle-like borides near β grain boundaries impeded α phase growth.W.D. 10Hexagonal boron nitride nanosheet for effective ambient N2 fixation to NH3显示文摘Industrial production of NH3 from N2 and H2 significantly relies on Haber-Bosch process,which suffers from high energy consume and CO2 emission.As a sustainable and environmentally-benign alternative process,electrochemical artificial N2 fixation at ambient conditions,however,is highly required efficient electrocatalysts.In this study,we demonstrate that hexagonal boron nitride nanosheet (h-BNNS) is able to electrochemically catalyze N2 to NH3.In acidic solution,h-BNNS catalyst attains a high NH3 formation rate of 22.4 μg·h-1·mg-1cat.and a high Faradic efficiency of 4.7% at-0.75 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode,with excellent stability and durability.Density functional theory calculations reveal that unsaturated boron at the edge site can activate inert N2 molecule and significantly reduce the energy barrier for NH3 fonmation.Ya Zhang Huitong Du Yongjun Ma Lei Ji Haoran Guo Ziqi Tian Hongyu Chen Hong Huang Guanwei Cui Abdullah M. 12地球物理测井观测的台湾车笼埔断层钻探项目(TCDP)井孔A的应力方向显示文摘台湾车笼埔断层钻探项目(TCDP)钻了2km深的井孔来研究1999年Mw7·6级集集地震中破裂的车笼埔断层的结构和力学状态。在500~1900m的深度进行了TCDP的地球物理测井,包括为了识别地层面的裂缝和剪切区域的双极声学成像(DSI)测井和地层精细成像(FMI)测井。根据钻孔得到的连续岩芯资料,1110m深度的剪切区域被解释为车笼埔断层,位于锦水页岩内,延伸至1013~1300m的深度。整个井孔长度范围内观测到了应力导致的钻孔崩落。这些数据表明总的应力方向(N115°E)基本平行于区域应力场,并平行于菲律宾海板块相对于欧亚板块的俯冲方向。平均应力方向的可变性在不同深度均观测到。特别是在车笼埔断层附近有一个大的应力方向异常。1000m和1310m深度的突然应力偏转接近于锦水页岩的上边界和下边界,表明分层面在集集地震中滑动的可能性。Hung-Yu Wu Kuo-Fong Ma M. 15Apparent relationships between anthropogenic factors and climate change indicators and POPs deposition in a lacustrine system显示文摘Climate change and anthropogenic activities are expected to impact the environmental behaviors and fates of persistent organic pollutants(POPs), however, quantitative studies on these combined factors are scarce. In this study, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane(DDTs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs), and polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs)were used as examples to identify how and when those factors may be related to the deposition of POPs in the sediment of Lake Chaohu, China, using generalized additive models(GAMs). Three historical trends of DDT, PAH, and PCB deposition were delineated in a dated sediment core encompassing ~100 years of historical record: a steady state or gradually increasing stage, a rapidly increasing stage, and a declining stage. The GAM results showed that aquatic total phosphorus(TP) concentrations and regional GDP(anthropogenic factors) were dominant contributors to POP accumulation rates in the lake sediment. The fitted relationships between air temperature and sedimentary DDT and PAH concentrations were linear and negative, while a positive linear relationship was found for PCBs, suggesting that Lake Chaohu may have become a net source for DDTs and PAHs, and a sink for PCBs, under a progressively warming climate.Hanxiao Zhang Shouliang Huo Kevin M. 19The use of in-situ cosmogenic ^(21)Ne in studies on long-term landscape development显示文摘Cosmogenic Ne isotopes are stable and are routinely used for constraining the timing of events and the rate of surface change beyond the limit that can be studied with radionuclides ^(10)Be,^(26)Al, and ^(36)Cl. Cosmogenic Ne analysis can be used in quartz and in a range of other minerals. Analysis typically requires significantly less material than do cosmogenic ^(10)Be and^(26)Al, opening up the technique for small samples—individual pebbles in river sediments, for example. Analysis is easier and faster than for radionuclides, not least because Ne measurements do not require significant chemical procedures. However, the presence of other sources of Ne in minerals tends to restrict the use of cosmogenic ^(21)Ne to old landscapes and long exposure durations. In this review we briefly outline the background of cosmogenic Ne production in rocks and minerals at the Earth's surface, then document the key uses of the technique by highlighting some earlier studies, and finish with a short perspective on the future of the technique.Yan Ma Finlay M.
