| 1 | 吉西他滨联合顺铂或卡铂方案一线治疗晚期非小细胞肺癌的疗效和毒性比较(英文)显示文摘Objective: To compare the efficacy and toxicity between gemcitabine plus cisplatin and plus carboplatin in first-line treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods: Gemcitabine 1000 mg/m2 iv, d1, 8; cisplatin 75 mg/m2 iv, d1, or 25 mg/m2 iv, d1-3; carboplatin AUC = 5 iv, d1; repeated every 21 days. Results: All 76 cases were available for objective response. Gemcitabine + cisplatin (GCis) group: among 33 cases, CR 1 case, PR 13 cases, MR 3 cases, SD 7 cases, PD 9 cases, response rate, disease control rate, time to progress (TTP), median survival time (MST) and 1-, 2-year survival rates were 42.42% (14/33), 72.73% (24/33), 5 months, 14 months and 66.67% (22/33), 12.12% (4/33), respectively; Gemcitabine + carboplatin (GCarb) group: among 43 cases, PR 13 cases, MR 11 cases, SD 7 cases, PD 12 cases, the results while comparing with those of GCis group were 30.23% (13/43), 72.09% (31/43), 4 months, 11 months and 48.84% (21/43), 2.33% (1/43), respectively. Among them, only MST between the two groups had significant statistic difference (χ2 = 2.45, P = 0.017). Mild to modest myelo-suppression as well as nausea and vomiting were observed. Conclusion: Both GCis and GCarb regimens had active and well-tolerated toxicity for advanced NSCLC. Cisplatin-based chemotherapy yields a substantial effective advantage over carboplatin-based regimens. | 2 | Continuous activation of polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cells during pregnancy is critical for fetal development显示文摘The maternal immune system is vital in maintaining immunotolerance to the semiallogeneic fetus for a successful pregnancy.Although studies have shown that myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)play an important role in maintaining feto-maternal tolerance,little is known about the role of MDSCs in pregnancies with intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR).Here,we reported that the activation of polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cells(PMN-MDSCs)during pregnancy was closely associated with fetal growth.In humans,class E scavenger receptor 1(SR-E1),a distinct marker for human PMN-MDSCs,was used to investigate PMN-MDSC function during pregnancy.Continuous activation of SR-E1+PMN-MDSCs was observed in all stages of pregnancy,accompanied by high cellular levels of ROS and arginase-1 activity,mediated through STAT6 signaling.However,SR-E1+PMN-MDSCs in pregnancies with IUGR showed significantly lower suppressive activity,lower arginase-1 activity and ROS levels,and decreased STAT6 phosphorylation level,which were accompanied by an increase in inflammatory factors,compared with those in normal pregnancies.Moreover,the population of SR-E1+PMN-MDSCs was negatively correlated with the adverse outcomes of newborns from pregnancies with IUGR.In mice,decreases in cell population,suppressive activity,target expression levels,and STAT6 phosphorylation levels were also observed in the pregnancies with IUGR compared with the normal pregnancies,which were rescued by the adoptive transfer of PMN-MDSCs from pregnant mice.Interestingly,the growth-promoting factors(GPFs)secreted by placental PMN-MDSCs in both humans and mice play a vital role in fetal development.These findings collectively support that PMN-MDSCs have another new role in pregnancy,which can improve adverse neonatal outcomes. | Mengyu Shi Ziyang Chen Meiqi Chen Jingping Liu Jing Li Zhe Xing Xiaogang Zhang Shuaijun Lv Xinyao Li Shaowen Zuo Shi Feng Ying Lin Gang Xiao Liping Wang Yumei He | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,7: | 1 |
| 3 | Persistent luminescence phosphor as in-vivo light source for tumoral cyanobacterial photosynthetic oxygenation and photodynamic therapy显示文摘Tumor oxygenation level has been regarded as an attractive target to elevate the efficiency of photodynamic therapy(PDT).Cyanobacterial photosynthesis-mediated reversal of tumor hypoxia could enable an oxygen-boosted PDT,but is limited by scant penetration depth and efficiency of external light.Herein,aiming at the dual purposes of reducing biological toxicity induced by long-term light irradiation and alleviating hypoxia,we here introduce a novel-designed CaAl2O4:Eu,Nd blue persistent luminescence material(PLM)as the in vivo light source after pre-excited in vitro.The ingenious construction of blue-emitting PLM with“optical battery”characteristics activates cyanobacterial cells and verteporfin simultaneously,which performs the successive oxygen supply and singlet oxygen generation without the long-term external excitation,resulting in the modulated tumor hypoxic microenvironment and enhanced photodynamic tumor proliferation inhibition efficiency.Both in vitro cellular assessment and in vivo tumor evaluation results affirm the advantages of self-produced oxygen PDT system and evidence the notable antineoplastic outcome.This work develops an irradiation-free photosynthetic bacteria-based PDT platform for the optimization of both oxygen production capacity and light utilization efficiency in cancer treatment,which is expected to promote the clinical progress of microbial-based photonic therapy. | Meiqi Chang Wei Feng Li Ding Hongguang Zhang Caihong Dong Yu Chen Jianlin Shi | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,4: | 0 |

| 6 | Effect of oxygen terminated surface of boron-doped diamond thin-film electrode on seawater salinity sensing显示文摘Tremendous demands for highly sensitive and stable seawater salinometers have motivated intensive research on advanced electrode materials.Boron-doped diamond(BDD)is attractive in terms of its high mechanical stability and chemical inertness,but is usually hindered by its low double-layer capacitance(C_(dl))for seawater salinity detection.Here,inspired by the principle of oxygen-terminated BDD electrode endowing higher C_(dl)than hydrogen-terminated surface,we introduce the oxygen terminated surface by oxygen plasma or reactive ion etch(RIE),and the fabricated oxygen terminated BDD electrodes demonstrate high sensitivity and long-term stability in seawater salinity detection comparing with the hydrogen terminated BDD electrodes.Significantly,the as-fabricated O-BDD-RIE electrodes not only show remarkable enhanced response even better than the commercial platinum black electrodes but also display long-time stability which is weekly verified by continuous monitor for 90 days.The outstanding performance of the oxygen terminated BDD electrodes can be ascribed to the enhancement of C-O surface functional group on C_(dl).In addition,a comprehensive analysis of effective electroactive surface area(EASA)and C_(dl)proves that the surface oxygen is the major factor for the improved C_(dl).In summary,the excellent oxygen terminated BDD electrodes promise potential application in seawater salinity detection. | Dan Shi Lusheng Liu Zhaofeng Zhai Bin Chen Zhigang Lu Chuyan Zhang Ziyao Yuan Meiqi Zhou Bing Yang Nan Huang Xin jiang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,27: | 0 |
