1Characterization of Soil Quality Under Vegetable Production Along an Urban-Rural Gradient显示文摘Human activity and urbanization result in urban-rural environmental gradients. Understanding effect of the gradients on soil properties is necessary for management of the soils around urban areas. In this study, soil quality of some vegetable fields was characterized along an urban-rural gradient in Shaoxing County, Zhejiang Province. Fifteen soil physical and chemical properties were evaluated by using principal component analysis.Results showed that there was a great variation in the soil quality along the gradient. From rural to urban zones, soil organic matter, water-stable aggregates, cation exchangeable capacity (CEC), total N and P, and available K increased, whereas soil pH value decreased. In addition, Pb, Cu, Ni, Co, Zn and Cr in the soils tended to be accumulated toward the urban zone. Sequential chemical extraction showed that mobility of all the heavy metals in the soils tended to increase from the rural to the urban zones. 2Effect of active oxygen on the performance of Pt/CeO2 catalysts for CO oxidation显示文摘This study was focused on the influence of active oxygen on the performance of Pt/CeO_2 catalysts for CO oxidation. A series of CeO_2 supports with different contents of active oxygen were obtained by adding surfactant at different synthesis steps. 0.25 wt% Pt was loaded on these CeO_2 supports by incipientwetness impregnation methods. The catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption, X-ray diffraction(XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM), H_2 temperature-programmed reduction(H_2-TPR), dynamic oxygen storage capacity(DOSC) and in-situ DRIFTS technologies. For S-f supports, the surfactant was added into the solution before spray-drying in the synthesis process, which facilitates more active oxygen formation on the surface of CeO_2. After loading Pt, the more active oxygen on CeO_2 contributes to dispersing Pt species and enhancing the CO oxidation activity. As for the aged samples,Pt-R-h shows the highest activity above 190 ℃ because of the presence of more partly oxidized Pt^(δ+) species. 3Effects of Na+on Cu/SAPO-34 for ammonia selective catalytic reduction显示文摘Copper-exchanged chabazite(Cu/CHA) catalysts have been found to be affected by alkali metal and alkaline earth ions. However, the effects of Na^+ ions on Cu/SAPO-34 for ammonia selective catalytic reduction(NH_3-SCR) are still unclear. In order to investigate the mechanism, five samples with various Na contents were synthesized and characterized. It was observed that the introduced Na^+ ion-exchanges with H+and Cu^(2+)of Cu/SAPO-34. The exchange of H+is easier than that of isolated Cu^(2+). 4Active manganese oxide on MnOx-CeO2 catalysts for low-temperature NO oxidation:Characterization and kinetics study显示文摘MnO_x-CeO_2 catalysts were synthesized to investigate the active sites for NO oxidation by varying the calcination temperature. XRD and TEM results showed that cubic CeO_2 and amorphous MnO_x existed in MnO_x-CeO_2 catalysts. High temperature calcination caused the sintering of amorphous MnO_x and transforming to bulk crystalline Mn_2O_3, H_2-TPR and XPS results suggested the valence of Mn in MnO_x-CeO_2 was higher than pure MnO_x, and decreased with the increasing calcination temperature, The turnover frequency(TOF) was calculated based on the initial reducibility according to H_2-TPR quantitation and kinetic study. The TOF results indicated that the initial reducibility of amorphous MnO_x with high valence manganese ions was equivalent to the active sites for NO oxidation. 6The spatial variation of soil bacterial community assembly processes affects the accuracy of source tracking in ten major Chinese cities显示文摘Urban soils harbor billions of bacterial cells and millions of species.However,the distribution patterns and assembly processes of bacterial communities remain largely uncharacterized in urban soils.It is also unknown if we can use the bacteria to track soil sources to certain cities and districts.Here,Illumina MiSeq sequencing was used to survey soil bacterial communities from 529 random plots spanning 61 districts and 10 major cities in China.Over a 3,000 km range,community similarity declined with increasing geographic distance(Mantel r=0.62),and community composition was clustered by city(R^(2)=0.50).Within cities(<100 km),the aforementioned biogeographic patterns were weakened.Process analysis showed that homogenizing dispersal and dispersal limitation dominated soil bacterial assembly at small and large spatial scales,respectively.Accordingly,the probabilities of accurately tracking random soil sources to certain cities and districts were 90.0% and 66.7%,respectively.When the tested samples originated from cities that were more than 1,265 km apart,the soil sources could be identified with nearly 100% accuracy.Overall,this study demonstrates the strong distance-decay relationship and the clear geographic zoning of urban soil bacterial communities among cities.The varied importance of different community assembly processes at multiple spatial scales strongly affects the accuracy of microbial source tracking.Teng Yang Yu Shi Jun Zhu Chang Zhao Jianmei Wang Zhiyong Liu Xiao Fu Xu Liu Jiangwei Yan Meiqing Yuan Haiyan Chu 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,9:4
7Research on Ce-Zr compounds on modifying γ-alumina washcoat on FeCrAl foils显示文摘Ce-Zr compounds such as Ce0.68Zr0.32O2 solid solution, Ce/Zr nitrate and CeO2/ZrO2 were added into γ-alumina-based slurries, which were then loaded on FeCrAl foils pretreated at 950°C and 1100°C. The microstructures and adhesion performance between the substrates and the washcoats were measured by SEM, BET surface area, ultrasonic vi- bration and thermal shock test. The results show that the addition of Ce0.68Zr0.32O2 solid solution, Ce/Zr nitrate and CeO2/ZrO2 into the slurries can improve γ-Al2O3-based washcoat adhesion on FeCrAl foils. Furthermore, ceria-zirconia solid solution increases the adhesion of the washcoat on the surface of an FeCrAl foil than the two others. 9Possible negative influences of increasing content of cerium on activity and hydrothermal stability of Rh/ceria-zirconia three-way catalysts显示文摘The activity and hydrothermal stability of the Rh/Ce_(x)Zr_(1-x)O_(2)(x=0,0.05,0.3,0.5) model three-way catalysts for gasoline vehicle emissions control were investigated in this work.Among the Rh/Ce_(x)Zr_(1-x)O_(2) samples with different Ce/Zr ratios,the Rh/ZrO_(2) sample exhibits a significantly better activity and hydrothermal stability than the rest of the samples.The impacts of having more Ce components in the Rh/Ce_(x)Zr_(1-x)O_(2) catalysts are associated with the strong Rh-O-Ce interaction that tends to over stabilize the rhodium species.A significant amount of such rhodium atoms can be found in the bulk of the support oxides after a hydrothermal aging at 1050℃ with 10% H_(2)O in air for 12 h.Differently,the sintering of rhodium on the surface of Rh/ZrO_(2) catalysts is the main reason for the catalyst deactivation during the hydrothermal aging.These findings provide an example where high dispersion of supported metal induced by strong metal-support interactions does not necessarily lead to high catalytic activity.Tianming Huang Meiqing Shen Guanghao Cheng Yunhao Wang Jianqiang Wang Wei Li Se HOh Gongshin Qi Ming Yang Jun Wang 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,7:3
10Preparation of Fe_x Ce_(1-x) O_y solid solution and its application in Pd-only three-way catalysts显示文摘FeO x-CeO 2 mixed oxides with increasing Fe/(Ce+Fe) atomic ratio(1-20 mol%) were prepared by sol-gel method and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) and Hydrogen temperature-programmed reduction(H 2-TPR) techniques.The dynamic oxygen storage capacity(DOSC) was investigated by mass spectrometry with CO/O 2 transient pulses.The powder XRD data following Rietveld refinement revealed that the solubility limit of iron oxides in the CeO 2 was 5 mol% based on Fe/(Ce+Fe).The lattice parameters experienced a decrease followed by an increase due to the influence of the maximum solubility limit of iron oxides in the CeO 2.TPR analysis revealed that Fe introduction into ceria strongly modified the textual and structural properties,which influenced the oxygen handling properties.DOSC results revealed that Ce-based materials containing Fe oxides with multiple valences contribute to the majority of DOSC.The kinetic analysis indicated that the calculated apparent kinetic parameters obey the compensation effect.The three-way catalytic performance for Pd-only catalysts based on the Fe doping support exhibited the redundant iron species separated out of the CeO 2 and interacted with the ceria and Pd species on the surface,which seriously influenced the catalytic properties,especially after hydrothermal aging treatment.Jianqiang Wang Meiqing Shen Jun Wang Mingshan Cui Jidong Gao Jie Ma Shuangxi Liu 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,4:3
11Strategic design and fabrication of MXenes-Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) core-shell nanostructure for high-efficiency hydrogen evolution显示文摘CoS_(2) is considered to be a promising electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).However,its further widespread applications are hampered by the unsatisfactory activity due to relatively high chemisorption energy for hydrogen atom.Herein,theoretical predictions of first-principles calculations reveal that the introduction of a Cl-terminated MXenes-Ti_(3)CNCl_(2) can significantly reduce the HER potential of CoS_(2)-based materials and the Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) core–shell nanostructure has Gibbs free energy of hydrogen adsorption(|ΔGH|)close to zero,much lower than that of the pristine CoS_(2) and Ti_(3)CNCl_(2).Inspired by the theoretical predictions,we have successfully fabricated a unique Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) core–shell nanostructure by ingeniously coupling CoS_(2) with a Cl-terminated MXenes-Ti_(3)CNCl_(2).Interface-charge transfer between CoS_(2) and Ti_(3)CNCl_(2) results in a higher degree of electronic localization and a formation of chemical bonding.Thus,the Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) core–shell nanostructure achieves a significant enhancement in HER activity compared to pristine CoS_(2) and Ti_(3)CNCl_(2).Theoretical calculations further confirm that the partial density of states of CoS_(2) after hybridization becomes more non-localized,and easier to interact with hydrogen ions,thus boosting HER performance.In this work,the success of oriented experimental fabrication of high-efficiency Ti_(3)CNCl_(2)@CoS_(2) electrocatalysts guided by theoretical predictions provides a powerful lead for the further strategic design and fabrication of efficient HER electrocatalysts.Jizhou Jiang Saishuai Bai Meiqing Yang Jing Zou Neng Li Jiahe Peng Haitao Wang Kun Xiang Song Liu Tianyou Zhai 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:2

20Rapid and simple spectrophotometric determination of persulfate in water by microwave assisted decolorization of Methylene Blue显示文摘A rapid and simple method for determination of persulfate in aqueous solution was developed. The method is based on the rapid reaction of persulfate with Methylene Blue(MB) via domestic microwave activation, which can promote the activation of persulfate and decolorize MB quickly. The depletion of MB at 644 nm(the maximum absorption wavelength of MB) is in proportion to the increasing concentration of persulfate in aqueous solution. Linear calibration curve was obtained in the range 0–1.5 mmol/L, with a limit of detection of 0.0028 mmol/L. The reaction time is rapid(within 60 sec), which is much shorter than that used for conventional methods.
