| 1 | Pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin as a Single Agent or as Combination Therapy with Carboplatin in Patients with Recurrent or Refractory Epithelial Ovarian Cancer显示文摘OBJECTIVE Pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD;CAELYX^(?)), a novel formulation of doxorubicin with enhancedtherapeutic efficacy and reduced toxicity, has demonstratedimproved progression-free survival in recurrent or refractoryovarian cancer. The objective of this open-label, noncomparative,observational study was to determine the efficacyand safety of PLD monotherapy or combination therapy withcarboplatin for patients with recurrent or refractory ovariancancer.METHODS Sixty-two patients with recurrent or refractoryovarian cancer who completed a platinum-based chemotherapyregimen and demonstrated platinum sensitivity for first-linetreatment at least 6 months prior to study entry were enrolledin 20 centers in China. PLD was given as monotherapy (50mg/m^2 infused over 60 minutes) or as combination therapy(30 mg/m^2 1-hour infusion) with carboplatin (area under thecurve 5 mg.min/mL 1-hour infusion) on day 1 every 28 daysfor 4 cycles. The primary endpoint was objective response (OR)rate or CA-125 level. Secondary endpoints included time toresponse, time-to-progression, health-related quality of life, andsafety.RESULTS Overall, 48% of the 62 evaluable patients achieveda confirmed OR. More patients receiving PLD and carboplatinachieved an OR vs the PLD monotherapy group (63% vs. 37%).The median time to response and disease progression was58.5 days and 56.0 days, respectively. Overall and drug-relatedadverse events were reported for 39% and 34%, respectively.The most commonly reported adverse events were stomatitis(22.6%) and palmar-plantar erythroderma (9.7%). | 2 | Ultrasensitive detection of IgE levels based on magnetic nanocapturer linked immunosensor assay for early diagnosis of cancer显示文摘Rapid and accurate detection of immunoglobulin E(Ig E) in serum and reduction of serum dosage are of great significance for clinical detection. Herein, we described a rapid magnetic separation of Ig E from patient serum based on Fe3 O4@Si O2-NTA@026 sdab as the capture probe and multiple horseradish peroxidase(HRP)-labeled antibodies linked gold nanoparticles(Au NPs) as chemiluminescence(CL) signal amplifier for ultrasensitive detection of total Ig E. Results showed that the limit of detection of our immunosensor system in serum samples was 0.03 k U/L, which is lowest in comparison with current methods, and far lower than that of Immuno CAP for Ig E detection(0.1 k U/L). Furthermore, our immunosensor possessed satisfied repeatability and accuracy, as well as good stability. In comparison with the Immuno CAP for the quantitative detection of Ig E, highly consistent results were achieved in 20 serum samples. Specially, this method was also successfully utilized for assessing the Ig E traces in breast cancer patients,which provides a new idea for the diagnosis of early cancer. | 4 | Wideband Polarization Reconfigurable Dielectric Resonator Antenna显示文摘A wideband polarization reconfigurable dielectric resonator antenna excited by quasilumped quadrature coupler( QLQC) is proposed. By adjusting the value of varactor diode on the QLQC feed network,both the wideband LP and CP dielectric resonator antennas( DRA) modes can be achieved. By selecting a different feed port,left-and right-handed CP conversion can be realized.It is found that the 10 dB impedance bandwidth of the LP and CP modes are 10. 1% and 44. 9%,respectively.For the CP mode,a very wide 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 37. 7% can be obtained which is much larger than that of the microstrip patch counterpart( 3. 8%).
