1Coal fly ash reinforcement for the property enhancement of crude glycerol-based polyurethane foam composites显示文摘Coal fly ash(CFA)is the main combustion residue of fine ground coal in the process of coal-fired thermal power generation,and crude glycerol(CG)is the byproduct of biodiesel production.The novel polyurethane/CFA(PU/CFA)foam composites were prepared from CFA and CG.Two kinds of CFA,CFAI and CFAII were used as fillers for the property enhancement of PU/CFA composites,and the effects on foaming behavior and the reinforcement for the PU/CFA composites were investigated.It was found that the addition of CFA can prolong the rising time and tack-free time,and the maximum rising time and tack-free time increased to 40 s and 42 s.Meanwhile,the maximum compressive strength of PU/CFAI and PU/CFAII increased to 0.2186 MPa and 0.2284 MPa with the addition of CFA.The thermogravimetric analysis showed that the PU/CFA composites underwent three stages of thermal decomposition,and the amount of carbon residue increased from 23.11%to 67.91%with increasing CFA dosage.Moreover,the values of the limit oxygen index increased from 21.5%to 23.7%with the incorporation of CFA into the PU foam matrix,indicating that CFA improved the thermal stability and flame retardant performance of the composites.This study provided a new method for the recycling and high-value utilization of CG and CFA.Linda Zhang Weihong Zhang Mengyu Li Pan Li Xiaoyang Zheng Chun Chang Weihua Zou 2022Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2022,4,4:1
2A Pair-Electrosynthesis for Formate at Ultra-Low Voltage Via Coupling of CO_(2) Reduction and Formaldehyde Oxidation显示文摘Formate can be synthesized electrochemically by CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)or formalde-hyde oxidation reaction(FOR).The CO_(2)RR approach suffers from kinetic-sluggish oxygen evolution reac-tion at the anode.To this end,an electrochemical sys-tem combining cathodic CO_(2)RR with anodic FOR was developed,which enables the formate electrosynthesis at ultra-low voltage.Cathodic CO_(2)RR employing the BiOCl electrode in H-cell exhibited formate Faradaic efficiency(FE)higher than 90% within a wide potential range from−0.48 to−1.32 V_(RHE).In flow cell,the current density of 100 mA cm^(−2) was achieved at−0.67 V_(RHE).The anodic FOR using the Cu_(2)O electrode displayed a low onset potential of−0.13 V_(RHE) and nearly 100%formate and H_(2) selectivity from 0.05 to 0.35 V_(RHE).The CO_(2)RR and FOR were constructed in a flow cell through membrane electrode assembly for the electrosynthesis of formate,where the CO_(2)RR//FOR delivered an enhanced current density of 100 mA cm^(−2) at 0.86 V.This work provides a promising pair-electrosynthesis of value-added chemicals with high FE and low energy consumption.Mengyu Li Tehua Wang Weixing Zhao Shuangyin Wang Yuqin Zou 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,12:1
3Biomimetic three-layered membranes comprising(poly)-e-caprolactone,collagen and mineralized collagen for guided bone regeneration显示文摘The distinct structural properties and osteogenic capacity are important aspects to be taken into account when developing guided bone regeneration membranes.Herein,inspired by the structure and function of natural periosteum,we designed and fabricated using electrospinning a fibrous membrane comprising(poly)-e-caprolactone(PCL),collagen-I(Col)and mineralized Col(MC).The three-layer membranes,having PCL as the outer layer,PCL/Col as the middle layer and PCL/Col/MC in different ratios(5/2.5/2.5(PCM-1);3.3/3.3/3.3(PCM-2);4/4/4(PCM-3)(%,w/w/w))as the inner layer,were produced.The physiochemical properties of the different layers were investigated and a good integration between the layers was observed.The three-layeredmembranes showed tensile properties in the range of those of natural periosteum.Moreover,the membranes exhibited excellent water absorption capability without changes of the thickness.In vitro experiments showed that the inner layer of the membranes supported attachment,proliferation,ingrowth and osteogenic differentiation of human bone marrowderived stromal cells.In particular cells cultured on PCM-2 exhibited a significantly higher expression of osteogenesis-related proteins.The three-layered membranes successfully supported new bone formation inside a critical-size cranial defect in rats,with PCM-3 being the most efficient.The membranes developed here are promising candidates for guided bone regeneration applications.Jingjing Wu Mengyu Yao Yonggang Zhang Zefeng Lin Wenwu Zou Jiaping Li Pamela Habibovic Chang Du 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,6:0
4Simultaneous determination of gallic acid and p-coumaric acid in rat plasma by UPLC-MS/MS and its application to a comparative pharmacokinetic study after oral administration of monomer compound and red wine extract显示文摘A rapid,sensitive and selective ultra high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLCMS/MS)method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of gallic acid(GA)and p-coumaric acid(CA)in rat plasma.Plasma samples were extracted by methanol and separated on an ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 column(1.7μm,100 mm×2.1 mm)using gradient elution consisting of acetonitrile–0.2%formic acid within a runtime of 4.0 min.The detection was performed in multiple reaction monitoring(MRM)mode with negative ionization.The linear range was 20–20000 ng/mL for both GA and CA,with lower limits of quantification of 20 ng/mL.Intra-day and inter-day precisions were within 5.4%and 10.0%,respectively and the accuracy(relative error,RE,%)was less than 7.2%and–4.9%,respectively.The mean absolute extraction recoveries of both analytes and IS from rat plasma were all more than 82.6%.The validated method was successfully applied to the comparative pharmacokinetic study of GA and CA in rat plasma after oral administration of GA and CA monomers and red wine extract,respectively.It was found that both the area under the curve(AUC)and t1/2 of the two constituents were remarkably increased for red wine extract group than that in monomer group,indicating the priority of intake of red wine to active component monomer.Huijie Lv Mengyu Zou Weichao Yu Baoshan Sun Yan Cui 2019Journal of Polyphenols2019,1,1:0
