1Using iron fertilizer to control Cd accumulation in rice plants: A new promising technology显示文摘Effects of two kinds of iron fertilizer, FeSO4 and EDTA·Na2Fe were studied on cadmium accumulation in rice plants with two rice genotypes, Zhongzao 22 and Zhongjiazao 02, with soil culture systems. The results showed that application of iron fertilizers could hardly make adverse effects on plant growth and rice grain yield. Soil application of EDTA·Na2Fe significantly reduced the Cd accumulation in rice roots, shoots and rice grain. Cd concentration in white rice of both rice genotypes in the treatment of soil application of EDTA·Na2Fe was much lower than 0.2 mg/kg, the maximal Cd permission concentra- tion in cereal crop foods in State standard. However, soil application of FeSO4 or foliar application of FeSO4 or EDTA·Na2Fe resulted in the significant increase of Cd accumulation in rice plants including rice grain compared with the control. The results also showed iron fertilizers increased the concentra- tion of iron, copper and manganese element in rice grain and also affected zinc concentration in plants. 2Optimization of regularization parameter of inversion in particle sizing using light extinction method显示文摘In particle sizing by light extinction method, the regularization parameter plays an important role in applying regularization to find the solutionto ill-posed inverse problems. We combine the generalized cross-validation (GCV) and L-curve criteria with the Twomey-NNLS algorithmin parameter optimization. 4ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY BY FLOODING WITH HYDROPHILIC NANOPARTICLES显示文摘In this paper, the mechanism of enhanced oil recovery using lipophobic and hydrophilic polysilicon (LHP) nanoparticles ranging in size from 10 to 500 nm for changing the wettability of porous media was analysed theoretically. A one-dimensional two-phase mathematical model considering the migration and adsorption of LHP and wettability change in reservoir rock was proposed, and a simulator was developed to quantitatively predict the changes in relative and ef- fective permeability of the oil and water phases and the oil recovery in sandstone after water driving. Numerical simula- tions were conducted to study the distribution of the particle concentration, the reduction in porosity and absolute per- meability, the LHP volume retention on pore walls and in pore throats along a dimensionless distance, and oil production performance. In conclusion, oil recovery can obviously be improved by flooding with hydrophilic nanometer powders though permeability declines for the retention of nanoparticles in porous media. 6Particle size characterization by ultrasonic attenuation spectra显示文摘This paper contributes to extracting information from signals of broadband ultrasonic attenuation spectrum for effective utilization in particle size characterization. The single particle scattering model and the coupled-phase model are formulated simultaneously, the relationship between particle size distribution and ultrasonic spectrum is established, and a convergence criterion for calculation is quantified. Demonstration inversion by the optimum regularization factor method is carried out to yield typical numerical results for discussion. With the experimental set-up developed by the Institute of Particle and Two-Phase Flow Measurement (IPTFM) at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, sand sediment particle size is measured by attenuation spectrum and analyzed using the above inversion algorithm and theoretical models. 7miR-129-5p suppresses proliferation, migration, and induces apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells by targeting PBX3显示文摘Pancreatic cancer(PC)is the seventh m ost frequent cause of cancer-related deaths world wide with a high mortality.MicroRNAs(miRNAs)act as im portant regulators for the developm ent of PC and participate in the progression of PC.miR-129-5p was reported to regulate the progression of tum ors,such as thyroid cancer and gastric cancer.However,the function of miR-129-5p in PC is still unclear.In this study,the down-regulation of miR-129-5p was detected in PC tissues and PC cells.miR-129-5p was overexpressed or knocked down in AsPC-1 and BxPC-3 cells.The results showed that miR-129-5p overexpression suppressed proliferation,m igration and invasion,and induced apoptosis of PC cells,whereas miR-129-5p knockdown showed opposite effects:In addition,we found that pre-B-cell leukemia hom eobox 3(PBX3)overexpression prom oted proliferation,m igration and invasion,but reduced apoptosis of PC cells.PBX3 was identified as a target of miR-129-5p by inform atics analysis and dual luciferase reporter assay.Finally,our results indicated that miR-129-5p suppressed cell proliferation and m igration by targeting PBX3.This study dem onstrated that miR-129-5p could function as a tu m o r suppressor in the progression and developm ent of PC by targeting PBX3,providing a reliable prognostic factor and a new therapeutic strategy for PC.Zhisheng Qiu Xiaochun Wang Yuping Shi Mingxu Da 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,10:15

11In-line imaging measurements of particle size,velocity and concentration in a particulate two-phase flow显示文摘A novel method is developed for in-line measurements of particle size, velocity and concentration in a dilute, particulate two-phase flow based on trajectory image processing. The measurement system consists of a common industrial CCD camera, an inexpensive LED light and a telecentric lens. In this work,the image pre-processing steps include stitching, illumination correction, binarization, denoising, and the elimination of unreal and defocused particles. A top-hat transformation is found to be very effective for the binarization of images with non-uniform background illumination. Particle trajectories measured within a certain exposure time are used to directly obtain particle size and velocity. The particle concentration is calculated by using the statistics of recognized particles within the field of view. We validate our method by analyzing experiments in a gas-droplet cyclone separator. 14Modeling and prediction of ultrasonic attenuations in liquid-solid dispersions containing mixed particles with Monte Carlo method显示文摘We develop a theoretical model for predicting the ultrasonic attenuation in the liquid-solid system containing mixed particles. The ultrasonic attenuation coefficient is obtained by counting the number of phonons that reach the receiver. Using the Monte Carlo method (MCM), numerical simulations were performed to predict the ultrasonic attenuations with not only a single particle type but also monodisperse and polydisperse mixed particles. The simulation results for the systems with a single particle type were compared with various standard models. The results show that they agree well at relatively low particle volume concentrations (within 10%). For systems with mixed particles, the particle volume concentrati on was found to in crease to around 10%, and the variation of the ultrasonic attenuation agai nst the mixing ratio yields a nonlinear trend. Moreover, the ultrasonic attenuation is significantly affected by particle properties. 16Polymorphisms of chemokine receptors and its ligand alleles influencing genetic suscepti-bity to HIV-1 infection in eight ethnic groups in Chinese mainland显示文摘Limited genetic information is available concerning the polymorphisms of HIV-1 resistant genes in indigenous Chinese populations. The aim of this study is to identify the allelic frequencies of the chemokine and chemokine receptor genes in the Chinese mainland. Genomic DNA samples extracted from whole blood of 2318 subjects were analyzed by using PCR or PCR/restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) assays, and further confirmed by direct DNA sequencing. Higher frequencies of mutant CCR2-64I (19.15%-28.79%) and SDF1-3’A (19.10% -29.86%) alleles were found in subjects of 8 ethnic groups in the Chinese mainland. In contrast, the △32 mutation in CCRS gene occurs at a very low frequency (0.0016, n=1287) in Han population. A relatively high frequency of CCR5-wt/△32 heterozygotes was observed in Uygurian and Mongolian populations. No A32 mutation allele was detected in Tibetan and other 4 ethnic groups in Yunnan Province. 17L-arginine administration ameliorates serum and pulmonary cytokine response after gut ischemia-reperfusion in immature rats显示文摘AIM: Small intestinal ischemia-reperfusion (IR) has been demonstrated to result in both local mucosal injury and systemic injuries. The exact role of nitric oxide (NO) in intestinal IR is unclear. We propose that NO and some other cytokines change in the reperfusion period and these changes are associated with lung injury. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of supplementing NO substrate, L-arginine (L-arg), on serum and pulmonary cytokine production during small intestinal IR in immature rats.METHODS: Immature rats underwent 60 min. of superior mesenteric artery occlusion followed by 90 min of reperfusion. L-arg (250 mg/kg) was given intravenously to the experimental group (IR+L-arg) which received L-arg after 45 min of intestinal ischemia. Serum and lung endothelin-1 (ET-1), NO, malondialdehyde (MDA), and tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) were measured. Sham operation (SHAM) and intestinal IR (IR) groups were performed as control. The lavage fluid of the lung was collected by bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) and white blood cells and polymorphonuclear cells (PMNs) were immediately counted to identify lung damage.RESULTS: When L-arg was given during small intestinal IR, serum NO concentration increased significantly in IR+L-arg group (162.17±42.93 μmol/L) when compared with IR group (87.57±23.17 μmol/L, t= 3.190, P = 0.008<0.01). Serum MDA reduced significantly in IR+L-arg group (8.93±1.50 nmol/L) when compared with SHAM(23.78±7.81 nmol/L, t = 3.243, P = 0.007<0.01) and IR (25.54±9.32 nmol/L, t = 3.421, P = 0.006<0.01).ET-1 level in lung tissues was significantly lower in IR+L-arg group (13.81±7.84 pg/mL) than that in SHAM(35.52±10.82 pg/mL, t = 2.571, P= 0.03<0.05) and IR(50.83±22.05 pg/mL, t = 3.025, P = 0.009<0.01) groups.MDA contents in lung tissues were significantly lower in IR+L-arg group (10.73±1.99 nmol/L) than in SHAM(16.62±2.28 nmol/L, t = 3.280, P = 0.007<0.01) and IR(21.90±4.82 nmol/L, t= 3.322, P= 0.007<0.01)groups.Serum and lung TNFα concentrations were not significantly different in three groups. NO contents in lung homogenates and white blood cell counts in BAL had no significant difference in three groups; but the percentage of PMNs in BAL was 13.50±8.92, 33.20±16.59, and 22.50±6.09 in SHAM, IR, and IR+L-arg groups, respectively.CONCLUSION: Small intestinal IR induced increases of pulmonary neutrophil infiltration in immature rats.Neutrophil infiltration in lung tissues was reduced by L-arg administration but remained higher than in SHAM group.L-arg administration during intestinal IR enhances serum NO production, reduces serum MDA and lung ET-1 and MDA levels, resulting in the improvement of systemic endothelial function. 18Unsteady Flow Variability Driven by Rotor-stator Interaction at Rotor Exit显示文摘Numerical investigation of the unsteady flow variability driven by rotorstator interaction in a transonic axial compressor is performed. Two models with close and far axial gap between rotor and stator rows are studied in the simulation. Particular attention is attached to the analysis of mechanisms involved in driving rotor wake oscillation, rotor wake skewing and flow angle fluctuation at rotor exit. The results show that smaller axial gap is favorable to enhance the interaction in the region between two adjacent rows, and the fluctuation of the static pressure difference between two sides of rotor wake is improved by potential field from down stator, which is the driving force for rotor wake oscillation. 19Effect of controlled low central venous pressure on renal function in major liver resection显示文摘Objective: To investigate the effects of low central venous pressure (LVCP) on blood loss and evaluate its influ- ence on renal function in patients undergoing hepatectomy. Methods: Forty-six patients, ASA classification I–III, undergoing liver resection were randomized into LCVP group (n = 23) and control group (n = 23). In LCVP group, CVP was maintained at 2–4 mmHg and MBP above 60 mmHg during hepatectomy, while in control group hepatectomy was performed routinely without lowering CVP. Volume of blood loss during hepatectomy, volume of blood transfusion, and changes of renal functions were compared between the two groups. Results: There were no significant differences in demographics, ASA score, type of hepatectomy, duration of inflow occlusion, operation time, weight of resected liver tissues, and renal functions between the two groups. LCVP group had a significantly lower volume of total intraoperative blood loss (P < 0.01) and RBC transfusion (P < 0.05). 20Development cost prediction of general aviation aircraft using combined estimation technique显示文摘Obtaining accurate development cost estimation results of general aviation aircraft is crucial for companies to adopt the best strategy in the development process.To address this problem,this paper proposes a combination of three commonly used single prediction methods.The optimal weight values of the three single prediction methods are determined by utilizing the shortest ideal point method.Ten cost datasets collected from literature are utilized for fitting and testing the combined prediction method,and the weight coefficients of the three individual prediction methods are calculated as 0.6859,0.0035 and 0.3106,respectively.The results of this study indicate that the developed method has better fitting and estimation accuracy than that of the three individual methods,with average fitting and predicting error values of 2.60%and 6.43%,respectively.Additionally,the cost data of military and civil aircraft development from literature are collected for verification.The results further confirm that the proposed method is not only superior to the single prediction methods in terms of high precision but has wider applications.More importantly,this research can provide important reference for general aviation aircraft companies in term of product cost planning and corporate sales strategies.Xiaonan CHEN Jun HUANG Mingxu YI 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,4:4
