| 1 | Evolution of Microstructure and Mechanical Property during Long-Term Aging in Udimet 720Li显示文摘Thermal stabilities of microstructure and mechanical property have been investigated on super- alloy U72OLi, which is of great interest of application for jet engine and land-based turbine disc. The results showed that, the primary and secondary γ’?particles maintain good thermal stability at 650 and 7000C with aging time up to 3000 h, while the tertiary γ’?is apparently dependent on aging temperature and time. The tertiary γ’?particles undergo a procedure of coarsening, dissolution and eventually complete disappearance with the increasing of aging time and temper- ature. They exhibit unusual high sensibility upon aging temperature, which is attributed to the lattice misfit between the γ’?precipitates and the matrix in the alloy. The grain boundary phase M23C6 remains stable without forming of sigma phase even with aging time up to 3000 h at 700℃. Microhardness decreases apparently with increasing aging time and aging temperature. | 2 | L-arginine administration ameliorates serum and pulmonary cytokine response after gut ischemia-reperfusion in immature rats显示文摘AIM: Small intestinal ischemia-reperfusion (IR) has been demonstrated to result in both local mucosal injury and systemic injuries. The exact role of nitric oxide (NO) in intestinal IR is unclear. We propose that NO and some other cytokines change in the reperfusion period and these changes are associated with lung injury. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of supplementing NO substrate, L-arginine (L-arg), on serum and pulmonary cytokine production during small intestinal IR in immature rats.METHODS: Immature rats underwent 60 min. of superior mesenteric artery occlusion followed by 90 min of reperfusion. L-arg (250 mg/kg) was given intravenously to the experimental group (IR+L-arg) which received L-arg after 45 min of intestinal ischemia. Serum and lung endothelin-1 (ET-1), NO, malondialdehyde (MDA), and tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) were measured. Sham operation (SHAM) and intestinal IR (IR) groups were performed as control. The lavage fluid of the lung was collected by bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) and white blood cells and polymorphonuclear cells (PMNs) were immediately counted to identify lung damage.RESULTS: When L-arg was given during small intestinal IR, serum NO concentration increased significantly in IR+L-arg group (162.17±42.93 μmol/L) when compared with IR group (87.57±23.17 μmol/L, t= 3.190, P = 0.008<0.01). Serum MDA reduced significantly in IR+L-arg group (8.93±1.50 nmol/L) when compared with SHAM(23.78±7.81 nmol/L, t = 3.243, P = 0.007<0.01) and IR (25.54±9.32 nmol/L, t = 3.421, P = 0.006<0.01).ET-1 level in lung tissues was significantly lower in IR+L-arg group (13.81±7.84 pg/mL) than that in SHAM(35.52±10.82 pg/mL, t = 2.571, P= 0.03<0.05) and IR(50.83±22.05 pg/mL, t = 3.025, P = 0.009<0.01) groups.MDA contents in lung tissues were significantly lower in IR+L-arg group (10.73±1.99 nmol/L) than in SHAM(16.62±2.28 nmol/L, t = 3.280, P = 0.007<0.01) and IR(21.90±4.82 nmol/L, t= 3.322, P= 0.007<0.01)groups.Serum and lung TNFα concentrations were not significantly different in three groups. NO contents in lung homogenates and white blood cell counts in BAL had no significant difference in three groups; but the percentage of PMNs in BAL was 13.50±8.92, 33.20±16.59, and 22.50±6.09 in SHAM, IR, and IR+L-arg groups, respectively.CONCLUSION: Small intestinal IR induced increases of pulmonary neutrophil infiltration in immature rats.Neutrophil infiltration in lung tissues was reduced by L-arg administration but remained higher than in SHAM group.L-arg administration during intestinal IR enhances serum NO production, reduces serum MDA and lung ET-1 and MDA levels, resulting in the improvement of systemic endothelial function. | 4 | Effect of hot isostatic pressing on microstructure of cast gas-turbine vanes of K452 alloy显示文摘The effect of hot isostatic pressing(HIP) treatment on microstructure of gas-turbine vanes made of K452 alloy was investigated by OM,SEM and TEM. The results showed that HIP treatment played a great role in the porosity healing processing, where 80% of porosities were eliminated and the diameter of remnant porosities decreased to 10 μm. The healing mechanism of the porosities was consistent with existing theories of porosity closure based on vacancy diffusion. According to the result of the tensile test, the plasticity of the alloy was improved as the result of the elimination of the porosities and the improvement of dendritic segregation, while there was not an obvious improvement in the tensile strength after the programmed HIP process. | 8 | Formation Mechanism of NiAl/TiB_2 Nanocomposite by Mechanical Alloying Elemental Powders显示文摘A NiAl/TiB2 nanocomposite is synthesized by mechanical alloying elemental powders. Upon milling for a certain time, an abrupt exothermic reaction occurs and a large amount of NiAl and TiB2 compounds form simultaneously. It is suggested that two separate chemical reactions,i.e. Ni+Al →NiAl and Ti+2B→TiB2, are involved during the exothermic reaction. Additionof Ti and B to Ni-Al system impedes the structural evolution of Ni and Al powders and delays the abrupt reaction. The final products are equilibrium phases without any metastable phases formed. | 12 | Thermal Stability of a New Ni-Fe-Cr Base Alloy with Different Ti/Al Ratios显示文摘Influence of Ti/Al ratios on the thermal stability of a new low cost Ni-Fe-Cr base wrought alloy,designed for application at 700℃ in advanced ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plants(700℃A-USC),was investigated both experimentally and thermodynamically. After standard heat treatment,the alloys with different Ti/Al ratios had the same microstructural characteristics. However,compared with the alloys with high Ti/Al ratio,the low Ti/Al ratio can increase the γ'-solvus temperature,decrease γ' coarsening rate and reduce the temperature range of η phase precipitation. For the alloys with low Ti/Al ratio,the yield strength has no obvious decrease during long-term thermal exposure at 700 and 750℃,but after thermal exposure at 750℃ for 5000 h,the yield strength of the alloys with high Ti/Al ratio obviously decreases due to the η phase precipitation. The influence of h phase on mechanical properties is related with its size. When the h phase is small,it has no obvious influence on mechanical properties,but h phase becomes the crack initiation site with the further growth of η phase. | 14 | Development of a Nickel-base Cast Superalloy with High Strength and Superior Creep Properties显示文摘Derived from Russian alloy CHS88U, six experimental Ni-base alloys named as A to F in the Ni-Cr-Co-W-Ti-Al-Hf system are designed, evaluated and processed. One of these alloys, F, shows excellent high temperature tensile strength and ductility with superior creep rupture properties. As predicted by using modeling tools such as PHACOM and NEW PHACOMP, there is hardly the tendency for formation of topologically close-packed phase (TCP) phase in alloy F. Furthermore, through microstructural observation, it is also found that no TCP phase is formed in alloy F after long-time exposure at high temperature. So alloy F has well balance of phase stability and mechanical properties in view of application for gas turbines.
