Modification of polyfluorene nanoparticles via inclusion complexa- tion based on cyclodextrin for lectin sensing and cell imaging显示文摘Currently, conjugated polymer nanoparticles are widely used with many biological applications, especially bio-imaging and labeling. Thus their modification with different biomacromolecules becomes a crucial step before various applications. In literature, this modification was normally performed via covalent bonds. To our best knowledge, modification based on inclusion complexation has not been reported. Herein, via host-guest interaction between cyclodextrin and adamantane, supramolecular modification to conjugated polyfluorene nanoparticles has been successfully achieved. The glycopolymer-modified conjugated polymer nanoparticles showed excellent binding ability to lectins, such as Galectin-3 and selective imaging behavior to Hep G2 cells. | PengfeiSun Mingchang Lin Guosong Chen Ming Jiang | 2016 | Science China Chemistry2016,59,12: | 1
Mutations of Desmoglein‑2 in Sudden Unexplained Death in the Chinese Han Population显示文摘Sudden unexplained death(SUD)remains a puzzle in forensic medicine.Desmoglein‑2(DSG2)has been linked to arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy which may cause life‑threatening ventricular arrhythmias and sudden death.Fatal arrhythmias resulting in sudden death also occur in the absence of morphologic cardiac abnormalities at autopsy. We hypothesized that DSG2 mutations may be responsible for certain Chinese SUD cases. We sequenced all 15 exons of DSG2 in DNA extracted from postmortem heart tissues of 25 Chinese patients dying from SUD.The primers were designed using the Primer Express 3.0 software.Direct sequencing for both sense and antisense strands was performed with a BigDye Terminator DNA sequencing kit on a 3130 Xl Genetic Analyzer.Mutation damage prediction was made using Mutation Taster,PolyPhen, and SIFT software. In 2 of 25 cases of Chinese SUD samples, two DSG2 heterozygous mutations(p.P927 L and p.T1070M)were identified, and one is probably damaging. We concluded that DSG2 mutations may be related to the occurrence of part of SUD cases in the Chinese Han population. | Junyi Lin Yulei Yang Ziqin Zhao Yiwen Shen Kaijun Ma Mingchang Zhang | 2019 | Journal of Forensic Science and Medicine2019,5,2: | 0
Evolutionary Game-theoretic Modeling of Massive Distributed Renewable Energy Deployment Towards Low-carbon Distribution Networks显示文摘This paper proposes an evolutionary game-theoretic model of massive distributed renewable energy deployment in order to shed light on the self-organization sustainable developments of renewable energies in distribution networks towards low-carbon targets. Since neighboring buses can interact in terms of energy exchanges, the return matrices of individual buses in the evolutionary game are established based on profiles of loads and renewable energy generation. More specifically, an evolutionary strategy is proposed based on the return matrices for individual buses to determine whether or not to deploy renewable energies in the next round of the game. Then, a dynamic model is derived for analyzing the renewable energy penetration rate in the distribution network throughout the multi-round evolutionary game. In theory, this model can reveal the self-organization process of renewable energy deployment in the distribution network. With this model, the distribution network operator would be aided in designing the incentives for buses deploying renewable energies toward a pre-defined low-carbon target. Numerical results on an actual 141-bus system and a synthetic 2000-bus system have demonstrated the validity and efficiency of the proposed model. | Xuanyi Xiao Jianbing Yin Lin Chen Mingchang Wang Yi Zhao Zhiyi Li | 2023 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2023,11,5: | 0
The glyco-regioisomerism effect on dynamic interactions between glycopolymers with galactose pendants and benzoxaborole-containing polymer显示文摘This work investigated the effect of glyco-regioisomerism of glycopolymers on their dynamic interaction with benzoxaborole-containing polymers. Two kinds of glycopolymers, P-1-Gal and P-6-Gal, i.e. galactoside pendant group linked to the identical main chain through its anomeric(C1) and C6-hydroxyl group position, respectively, were studied. We found that P-6-Gal showed stronger binding strength to the PNIPAM-co-PBOB polymer than P-1-Gal did, which controlled the macroscopic property of the resultant hydrogels at a molecular level. | Pengfei Sun Sichao Tian Mingchang Lin Guosong Chen | 2018 | Science China Chemistry2018,61,1: | 0
Supramolecular assembly of Cp1-11 peptide and insulin for rapid-acting formulation显示文摘In order to improve the life quality of diabetic patients,it is very important to develop rapid-acting insulin formulations that can mimic the physiological meal-time secretion profile of insulin in healthy people.Although several insulin analogues have been designed to provide postprandial glycemic control, still there are some serious disadvantages.A supramolecular strategy is presented here to inhibit insulin aggregation and improve its bioactivity by using Cp1-11 peptide. As a fragment of C-peptide in proinsulin,Cp1-11 peptide was found to influence insulin oligomerization by supramolecular interactions. This work demonstrates that the Cp1-11 peptide can interact with oligomeric insulin and facilitate its disaggregation into the physiologically active monomeric form.Computer simulation indicates that Cp1-11 can insert into the space between the C-terminal tail and the N-terminal helix of the B-chain of insulin, causing dissociation of the insulin dimer. The supramolecular assembly of Cp1-11 and insulin can improve the bioavailability and therapeutic effect of insulin on the control of in vivo blood glucose levels. These results suggest that Cp1-11 peptide can modulate the intermolecular interaction of aggregated insulin and prevent the transition from monomeric to multimeric states, and shows great potential for the development of an effective rapid-acting strategy to treat diabetes. | Weigang Wang Sheyu Li Zhouxiang Zhao Anna Zhou Yanpeng Liu Yantao Chen Mingchang Lin Guosong Chen Chunmei Ding Jianshu Li | 2017 | Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2017,2,3: | 0
