1N-Halamine Functionalized Electrospun Poly(Vinyl Alcohol-co-Ethylene)Nanofibrous Membranes with Rechargeable Antibacterial Activity for Bioprotective Applications显示文摘Developing bioprotective materials with bactericidal activity is of great significance since it can effectively keep healthcare workers from infection by emerging infectious diseases;however,this is still a big challenge.Herein,we fabricate a novel rechargeable N-halamine antibacterial material by functionalizing electrospun poly(vinyl alcohol-co-ethylene)(EVOH)nanofibers with dimethylol-5,5-dimethylhydantoin(DMDMH).The premise of the design is that the N-halamine com-pound,DMDMH,can be covalently grafted on the nanofibers,endowing the EVOH nanofibrous membranes(ENM)with rechargeable and durable bactericidal activity.The as-prepared DMDMH functionalized ENM(EDNM)render rechargeable chlorination capacity(>2000 ppm),high inactivation efficacy against bacteria(>99.9999%within 3 min),high filtration efficiency(>99.5%)under low air resistance,and robust mechanical properties,which are due to the synergistic effect of the unique characters of N-halamines and electrospun nanofibrous architecture.The successful synthesis of the N-halamine antibacterial membranes can serve as a functional layer of protective equipment that capable of inactivating and intercepting pathogenic bioaerosols,providing new ways into the development of new-generation antibacterial bioprotective materials.Mingguang Liang Fei Wang Mei Liu Jianyong Yu Yang Si Bin Ding 2019Advanced Fiber Materials2019,1,2:5
2Preparation and Characteristics of CoreeShell Structure Eu(DBM)_3Phen@SiO_2 Micro-Sphere显示文摘Sphere-shape Eu(DBM)3Phen@SiO2 nanoparticles were fabricated by employing a modified alkaline catalyzed hydrolysis and precipitation method.The silica coated on the particles surface was obtained by means of hydrolysis and condensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS).In this study,the particles morphology was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and the surface composition of samples was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR).It is confirmed that the SiO2 shell has been coated on the rare earth complexes successfully.Moreover,the near-infrared photoluminescence emission analysis on the nanoparticles showed that the SiO2 shell would increase the luminescence intensity of Eu(DBM)3Phen.This is primarily due to the reason that SiO2 shell with chemical inertness can effectively reduce the ion Eu3+ non-radiation transition probabilities,as well as the probability of rare earth luminescence quenching caused by the external medium.Mingguang Yu Guangxue Chen Jiangwen Liu Baoling Tang Wentao Huang 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,9:1

5A Model for Blindness Prevention显示文摘Objective :To introduce the work of the prevention and treatment of blindness of Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, to find out the effective model of blindness prevention and treatment in China.Method; 1. To provide high quality clinical service to rural people. 2. To conduct epidemio-logical survey 3.To train local ophthalmic professionals 4.To promote international cooperation.Result:40 000 outpatients cases, 4 500 cataract surgeries have been accomplished. Thousands cataract blind have been rehabilitated. 9 papers concerning epidemiological survey have been published. After the international training courses, 50 local ophthalmic workers have been trained and 4 cataract surgery rehabilitation centers have been founded. Conclusion : An effective model for blindness prevention and treatment should be based on clinical service, population based epidemiological survey and local ophthalmic professionals training. 7Anomaly Detection for Cloud Systems with Dynamic Spatiotemporal Learning显示文摘As cloud system architectures evolve continuously,the interac-tions among distributed components in various roles become increasingly complex.This complexity makes it difficult to detect anomalies in cloud systems.The system status can no longer be determined through individual key performance indicators(KPIs)but through joint judgments based on syn-ergistic relationships among distributed components.Furthermore,anomalies in modern cloud systems are usually not sudden crashes but rather grad-ual,chronic,localized failures or quality degradations in a weakly available state.Therefore,accurately modeling cloud systems and mining the hidden system state is crucial.To address this challenge,we propose an anomaly detection method with dynamic spatiotemporal learning(AD-DSTL).AD-DSTL leverages the spatiotemporal dynamics of the system to train an end-to-end deep learning model driven by data from system monitoring to detect underlying anomalous states in complex cloud systems.Unlike previous work that focuses on the KPIs of separate components,AD-DSTL builds a model for the entire system and characterizes its spatiotemporal dynamics based on graph convolutional networks(GCN)and long short-term memory(LSTM).We validated AD-DSTL using four datasets from different backgrounds,and it demonstrated superior robustness compared to other baseline algorithms.Moreover,when raising the target exception level,both the recall and precision of AD-DSTL reached approximately 0.9.Our experimental results demon-strate that AD-DSTL can meet the requirements of anomaly detection for complex cloud systems.Mingguang Yu Xia Zhang 2023Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing2023,37,8:0
8Estimation of Hammerstein nonlinear systems with noises using filtering and recursive approaches for industrial control显示文摘This paper discusses a strategy for estimating Hammerstein nonlinear systems in the presence of measurement noises for industrial control by applying filtering and recursive approaches.The proposed Hammerstein nonlinear systems are made up of a neural fuzzy network(NFN)and a linear state`-space model.The estimation of parameters for Hammerstein systems can be achieved by employing hybrid signals,which consist of step signals and random signals.First,based on the characteristic that step signals do not excite static nonlinear systems,that is,the intermediate variable of the Hammerstein system is a step signal with different amplitudes from the input,the unknown intermediate variables can be replaced by inputs,solving the problem of unmeasurable intermediate variable information.In the presence of step signals,the parameters of the state-space model are estimated using the recursive extended least squares(RELS)algorithm.Moreover,to effectively deal with the interference of measurement noises,a data filtering technique is introduced,and the filtering-based RELS is formulated for estimating the NFN by employing random signals.Finally,according to the structure of the Hammerstein system,the control system is designed by eliminating the nonlinear block so that the generated system is approximately equivalent to a linear system,and it can then be easily controlled by applying a linear controller.The effectiveness and feasibility of the developed identification and control strategy are demonstrated using two industrial simulation cases.Mingguang ZHANG Feng LI Yang YU Qingfeng CAO 2024Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2024,25,2:0
9AlertInsight:Mining Multiple Correlation For Alert Reduction显示文摘Modern cloud services are monitored by numerous multidomain and multivendor monitoring tools,which generate massive numbers of alerts and events that are not actionable.These alerts usually carry isolated messages that are missing service contexts.Administrators become inundated with tickets caused by such alert events when they are routed directly to incident management systems.Noisy alerts increase the risk of crucial warnings going undetected and leading to service outages.One of the feasible ways to cope with the above problems involves revealing the correlations behind a large number of alerts and then aggregating the related alerts according to their correlations.Based on these guidelines,AlertInsight,a framework for alert event reduction,is proposed in this paper.In AlertInsight,the correlations among event sources are found by mining a sequence of historical events.Then,event correlation knowledge is employed to build an online detector targeting the correlated events that are hidden in the event stream.Finally,the correlated events are aggregated into a single high-level event for alert reduction.Because of theweaknesses of the commonly used pairwise correlation analysis methods in complex environments,an innovative approach for multiple correlation mining,which overcomes computational complexity challenges by scanning panoramic views of historical episodes from the perspective of holism,is proposed in this paper.In addition,a neural network-based correlated event detector that can learn the event correlation knowledge generated from correlation mining and then detect the correlated events in a sequence online is proposed.Experiments are conducted to test the effectiveness of AlertInsight.The experimental results(precision=0.92,recall=0.93,and F1-score=0.93)demonstrate the performance of AlertInsight for the recognition of multiple correlated alerts and its competence for alert reduction.Mingguang Yu Xia Zhang 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,46,8:0
10An Efficient Way to Parse Logs Automatically for Multiline Events显示文摘In order to obtain information or discover knowledge from system logs,the first step is to performlog parsing,whereby unstructured raw logs can be transformed into a sequence of structured events.Although comprehensive studies on log parsing have been conducted in recent years,most assume that one event object corresponds to a single-line message.However,in a growing number of scenarios,one event object spans multiple lines in the log,for which parsing methods toward single-line events are not applicable.In order to address this problem,this paper proposes an automated log parsing method for multiline events(LPME).LPME finds multiline event objects via iterative scanning,driven by a set of heuristic rules derived from practice.The advantage of LPME is that it proposes a cohesion-based evaluation method for multiline events and a bottom-up search approach that eliminates the process of enumerating all combinations.We analyze the algorithmic complexity of LPME and validate it on four datasets from different backgrounds.Evaluations show that the actual time complexity of LPME parsing for multiline events is close to the constant time,which enables it to handle large-scale sample inputs.On the experimental datasets,the performance of LPME achieves 1.0 for recall,and the precision is generally higher than 0.9,which demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed LPME.Mingguang Yu Xia Zhang 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,46,9:0
11The H3K9me2-binding protein AGDP3 limits DNA methylation and transcriptional gene silencing in Arabidopsis显示文摘DNA methylation,a conserved epigenetic mark,is critical for tuning temporal and spatial gene expression.The Arabidopsis thaliana DNA glycosylase/lyase REPRESSOR OF SILENCING 1(ROS1)initiates active DNA demethylation and is required to prevent DNA hypermethylation at thousands of genomic loci.However,how ROS1 is recruited to specific loci is not well understood.Here,we report the discovery of Arabidopsis AGENET Domain Containing Protein 3(AGDP3)as a cellular factor that is required to prevent gene silencing and DNA hypermethylation.AGDP3 binds to H3K9me2 marks in its target DNA via its AGD12 cassette.Analysis of the crystal structure of the AGD12 cassette of AGDP3 in complex with an H3K9me2 peptide revealed that dimethylated H3 K9 and unmodified H3 K4 are specifically anchored into two different surface pockets.A histidine residue located in the methyllysine binding aromatic cage provides AGDP3 with pH-dependent H3K9me2 binding capacity.Our results uncover a molecular mechanism for the regulation of DNA demethylation by the gene silencing mark H3K9me2.Xuelin Zhou Mengwei Wei Wenfeng Nie Yue Xi Li Peng Qijie Zheng Kai Tang Viswanathan Satheesh Yuhua Wang Jinyan Luo Xuan Du Rui Liu Zhenlin Yang Honggui La Yingli Zhong Yu Yang Jian-Kang Zhu Jiamu Du Mingguang Lei 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,12:0
12Plant latent defense response to microbial non-pathogenic factors antagonizes compatibility显示文摘Unlike microbe-associated molecular patterns(MAMPs)that are readily targeted by host immunity,microbial non-pathogenic factors(NPFs)appear negligible as they do not elicit defense.Little is known about whether and how NPFs may be monitored by hosts to control compatibility.Herein,a forward genetic screening isolated an Arabidopsis mutant with a loss of plant-rhizobacteria mutualism,leading to the disclosure of a plant latent defense response(LDR)to NPFs.The activation of LDR in the mutant,named rol1 for regulator of LDR 1,is triggered by several non-pathogenic volatile organic compounds and antagonizes plant compatibility with the beneficial bacterium Bacillus amyloliquefaciens GB03.The activation of LDR in rol1 is mediated through the prokaryotic pathway of chloroplastic lipid biosynthesis.The rol1 root microbiome showed a reduced proportion of the Bacillaceae family.We propose that,parallel to the forefront immunity to MAMPs,LDR to certain NPFs provides a hidden layer of defense for controlling compatibility with commensal or beneficial microbes.Yu Yang Shenglan Chen Xiaoxuan Wu Li Peng Juan I.Vílchez Richa Kaushal Xiaomin Liu Sunil K.Singh Danxia He Fengtong Yuan Suhui Lv Rafael J.L.Morcillo Wei Wang Weichang Huang Mingguang Lei Jian-Kang Zhu Paul W.Paré Huiming Zhang 2022National Science Review2022,9,8:0
