| 1 | Effects of location within the tree canopy on carbohydrates,organic acids,amino acids and phenolic compounds in the fruit peel and flesh from three apple(Malus×domestica)cultivars显示文摘Fruits from three cultivars of apple(Malus × domestica Borkh.)—‘McIntosh’,‘Gala’and‘Mutsu’—were harvested from the exterior and interior of the tree canopy.Peel and flesh tissues were sampled separately to determine how the position of the fruit on the tree might affect the levels of the primary and secondary metabolites in the fruit.Fruit from the outer-canopy had a higher fresh weight and a higher soluble solids content compared with inner-canopy fruit.Both the flesh and peel of the outer-canopy fruit had higher concentrations of soluble sugars and sugar alcohols,but lower starch concentrations than the inner-canopy fruit.Canopy position did not significantly affect malic acid concentrations,except in the peel of‘McIntosh’and the flesh of‘Mutsu’.Although levels of ascorbic and succinic acids were higher in the peel of the outer-canopy fruit,the responses of other organic acids to canopy position depended on tissue type and cultivar.Except for histidine,lysine,threonine and glycine,most amino acids accumulated at higher concentrations in the inner-canopy fruit.By contrast,levels of phenolic compounds from both the peel and flesh were significantly higher in the outer-canopy fruit.The significant effects of location within the canopy on both primary metabolites and secondary metabolites demonstrate the importance of light exposure on apple fruit quality. | Fengjuan Feng Mingjun Li Fengwang Ma Lailiang Cheng | 2014 | Horticulture Research2014,1,1: | 7 |

| 3 | Estimation of correction coefficients for measured coal bed methane contents显示文摘Improving the accuracy and precision of coal bed methane(CBM) estimates requires correction of older data from older coal exploration surveys to newer standards.Three methods,the depth gradient method,the contour aerial weight method,and the well-point aerial weight method,were used to estimate the correction coefficient required to predict CBM gas content from coal exploration data.The data from the Nos.3 and 15 coal seams provided the coal exploration data while the CBM exploration stages within the X1 well block located in the southern part of the Qinshui Basin provided the data obtained using newer standards.The results show the correction coefficients obtained from the two aerial weight methods are similar in value but lower than the one obtained from the depth gradient method.The three methods provide similar results for the Nos.3 and 15 seams in that the correction factor is lower for the former seam.The results from the depth gradient method taken together with the coal seam burial depth and the coal rank suggest that variations in the correction factor increase linearly along with coal seam burial depth and coal rank.The correlation obtained can be applied to exploration and the evaluation of coal bed gas resources located in coalfields. | Lei Bo Fu Xuehai Zhou Baoyan Shen Jia ZOU Mingjun Feng Qing | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,4: | 5 |
| 4 | Effects of Sampling Conditions on Composition and Emission Characteristics of Volatile Organic Compounds in Process Units from Different Refineries显示文摘This study investigates the effects of sampling conditions on volatile organic compound(VOC)compositions including different flow restrictors,SUMMA volumes,sampling heights,and wind speeds.Results show that at the six sampling heights the concentrations of main VOC species were slightly different,while the wind speed had a greater impact on the VOC composition of source profiles.With the increase of wind speed,the weighted percentage of high-carbon aromatic hydrocarbons was higher.Besides,there was an extremely different profile between the normal production and shutdown conditions of the delayed coking unit.To compare the emission characteristics of VOCs in various process units of the S and the C refineries,the samples were collected from the catalytic cracking unit,the continuous catalytic reforming unit,and the delayed coking unit.In the continuous catalytic reforming unit,C3-C5 alkanes and low-carbon aromatic hydrocarbons were the main components collected from the S and the C refineries,accounting for 67.1%and 34.9%,respectively.For the delayed coking unit,the total weighted percentage of high carbon C6-C12 alkanes was significantly higher than other units in the S and the C refineries,accounting for 30.5%and 24.4%,respectively.In the catalytic cracking unit,the low-carbon C2-C5 alkanes were abundant,and the weighted percentage of propylene was higher.The emission characteristics obtained were consistent with the processing technology of production units.The results indicate that the VOC emission characteristics from the same production unit in different refineries have similarities and significant differences which are related to the technological process.The emission characteristics of VOCs could provide the data support for source apportionment work in the production units. | Feng Yunxia Xiao Anshan Li Bo Dong Rui Jia Runzhong Li Mingjun | 2020 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2020,22,3: | 3 |

| 8 | Interactive effects of warming and eutrophication on zooplankton could reverse the stoichiometric mismatch with phytoplankton显示文摘The core ecosystem functioning(e.g.trophic transfer efficiency)is at risk of being disrupted by the growing mismatch between nutrient content of primary producers and nutrient demand of grazing consumers.Ecological stoichiometry provides a conceptual framework that explains this trophic interaction using C,N and P elemental composition across trophic levels.In light of ongoing climate change and eutrophication,previous studies have raised concerns regarding the growing stoichiometric mismatch between phytoplankton and zooplankton,given the stoichiometric plasticity of phytoplankton.However,there is currently little conclusive evidence on the stoichiometric mismatch from a dual perspective of phytoplankton and zooplankton.To address this,we conducted a mesocosm experiment to investigate the separate and combined effects of climate warming(a constant increase of t3.5C plus heat waves)and eutrophication(nutrient addition)on stoichiometric mismatch between phytoplankton and zooplankton by examining stoichiometric changes in both communities.We observed a growing trend in stoichiometric mismatches when warming or nutrient addition acted individually,which was mediated by the increase in nutrient demand(N,P elements)of zooplankton growth.However,when these stressors acted jointly,the mismatches were reversed.This could be because climate warming and eutrophication combined would lead to changes in species composition,which accordingly reshaped the stoichiometric composition at the community level.These results illustrate the need of stoichiometric mismatches for understanding the implication of global change on trophic interactions and ecosystem functioning,requiring consideration not only of cross-trophic levels but also of compositional changes within communities. | Konghao Zhu Huan Zhang Peiyu Zhang Panpan Wang Hailu Li Mingjun Feng Huan Wang Hongxia Wang Min Zhang Jun Xu | 2023 | Water Biology and Security2023,2,4: | 0 |
| 9 | Normalization of Indexed Differentials by Extending Grobner Basis Theory显示文摘It is a fundamental problem to determine the equivalence of indexed differential polynomials in both computer algebra and differential geometry.However,in the literature,there are no general computational theories for this problem.The main reasons are that the ideal generated by the basic syzygies cannot be finitely generated,and it involves eliminations of dummy indices and functions.This paper solves the problem by extending Grobner basis theory.The authors first present a division of the set of elementary indexed differential monomials E■ into disjoint subsets,by defining an equivalence relation on E■ based on Leibniz expansions of monomials.The equivalence relation on E■also induces a division of a Grobner basis of basic syzygies into disjoint subsets.Furthermore,the authors prove that the dummy index numbers of the sim-monomials of the elements in each equivalence class of E■ have upper bounds,and use the upper bounds to construct fundamental restricted rings.Finally,the canonical form of an indexed differential polynomial proves to be the normal form with respect to a subset of the Grobner basis in the fundamental restricted ring. | LIU Jiang NI Feng SONG Shihang DU Mingjun | 2022 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2022,35,5: | 0 |
