| 1 | Predictors of post coronary artery bypass grafting atrial fibrillation显示文摘Objective: To investigate the incidence and relative risk factors of post coronary artery bypass grafting(post-CABG) atrial fibrillation(AF). Methods: 312 patients with CABG were reviewed and divided into an AF group and a non-AF group. Statistical analysis was used to compare the data between the two groups and screen for risk factors of post-CABG AF. Results: 103/312 (33.01%) patients developed post-CABG AF. Univariate analysis showed that patients in AF group compared with those in non-AF group were more likely to have advanced age (≥70 years), early postoperative withdrawal of β-blockers, hypertension, left atrial enlargement (≥40 mm), a history of AF, prolonged p-wave duration (≥120 ms) and increased number of grafts (≥3). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that advanced age (≥70 years), early postoperative withdrawal of β-blockers, hypertension, left atrial enlargement (≥40 mm) and a history of AF were highly related to post-CABG AF. Conclusion: The incidence of AF in patients following CABG was 33.01% in this study. | 2 | Effect of burden and origin sites of premature ventricular contractions on left ventricular function by 7-day Holter monitor显示文摘Recent studies have shown that premature ventricular contractions(PVCs) could enlarge the heart,but its risk factors are incompletely understood as a single 24-hour recording cannot reflect the true PVC burden due to day-to-day variability.Our purpose was to investigate the effect of burden and origin sites on left ventricular(LV) function in patients with PVCs by 7-day Holter electrocardiography(ECG).From May 2012 to August2013,112 consecutive patients with PVCs were recruited from the authors' affiliated hospital.All patients received2-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography,12-lead routing ECG and 7-days Holter ECG.Serum N-terminal probrain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) levels were measured.A total of 102 participants with PVCs were included in the final analysis.Origin of PVCs from the tricuspid annulus had the highest burden and NT-proBNP level.LV papillary muscle had a higher LV ejection fraction(EF) level and a lower LV end-systolic dimension(ESD) than other PVC foci(P<0.05).The high burden group had a higher LV end-diastolic dimension(EDD) and LVESD but lower LVEF than the other two groups(P<0.05).Female,older age,physical work,and history of PVCs had a significantly positive correlation with symptoms.Male,older age,physical work,and high burden were positive predictors of enlarged LVEDD,LVESD and higher serum NT-proBNP level,but lower LVEF.Seven-day dynamic ECG Holter monitor showed the true PVC burden on patients with PVCs.PVCs with a lower burden or origin from the LV papillary muscle and the fascicle were relatively benign,while PVCs with a higher burden or origin from the tricuspid annulus may lead to cardiac dysfunction. | Wenhua Xu Mingfang Li Minglong Chen Bing Yang Daowu Wang Xiangqing Kong Hongwu Chen Weizhu Ju Kai Gu Kejiang Cao Hailei Liu Qi Jiang Jiaojiao Shi Yan Cui Hong Wang | 2015 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,6: | 4 |
| 3 | Tpeak-Tend interval as a new risk factor for arrhythmic event in pa-tient with Brugada syndrome显示文摘Objective: To evaluate Tpeak- Tend ( Tp- e) interval in surface standard ECG as a new risk factor for arrhythmic event inpatient with Brugada syndrome. Methods: 23 male patients with Brugada syndrome and 20 male patients with paroxysmalsupraventricular tachycardia ( PSVT) as the control group were investigated in this study. Tp- e interval in surface standardECG was compared between BrS and PSVT patients. Results: Tp- e interval in BrS patients was significantly longer thanthat in PSVT patients ( 109.57±22.86 ms vs. 88.50±13.08ms, P<0.05) . There was significant difference in Tp- e interval be-tween 16 BrS patients with arrhythmic events ( including syncope, clinical ventricular fibrillation [ VF] and programmed elec-trical stimulation [ PES] - induced VF) and 7 BrS patients without arrhythmic events and PSVT patients ( 118.12±20.40ms vs.90.00±15.27ms, P<0.05; 118.12±20.40ms vs. 88.50±13.08ms, P<0.05). However, Tp- e interval was similar in BrS patients with-out arrhythmic events and PSVT patients (90.00±15.27ms vs 88.50±13.08ms, P>0.05). | 4 | Assessment of atrial electromechanical interval using echocardiography after catheter ablation in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation显示文摘We sought to investigate variation of atrial electromechanical interval after catheter ablation procedure in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation using pulse Doppler(PW) and pulse tissue Doppler imaging(PW-TDI).A total of 25 consecutive in-patients with persistent atrial fibrillation,who restored sinus rhythm after ablation procedure,were recruited in our cardiac center.Echocardiography was performed on each patient at 2 hours,1 day,5 days,1 month and 3 months after the ablation therapy,and atrial electromechanical delay was measured simultaneously by PW and PW-TDI.There was no significant difference between PW and TDI in measuring atrial electromechanical delay.However,at postoperative 2 hours,peak A detection rates were mathematically but nonsignificantly greater by PWTDI than by PW.Second,there was a significant decreasing trend in atrial electromechanical interval from postoperative 2 hours to 3 months,but only postoperative 2-hour atrial electromechanical interval was significantly greater than atrial electromechanical interval at other time.Lastly,patients without postoperative 2-hour atrial electromechanical interval had a significantly longer duration of atrial fibrillation as compared to those with postoperative 2-hour atrial electromechanical interval,by the PW or by PW-TDI,respectively.In patients with persistent atrial fibrillation,atrial electromechanical interval may decrease significantly within the first 24 hours after ablation but remain consistent later,and was significantly related to patients' duration of atrial fibrillation.Atrial electromechanical interval,as a potential predicted factor,is recommended to be measured by either PW or TDI after24 hours,when patients had recovered sinus rhythm by radiofrequency ablation. | Xiaodong Chen Minglong Chen Yingying Wang Bing Yang Weizhu Ju Fengxiang Zhang Kejiang Cao | 2016 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2016,30,6: | 2 |

| 7 | Characteristics and formation mechanism of siltstone-mudstone rhythmic sedimentary sections in the Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation in the Changning area,South Sichuan Basin,southwest China显示文摘The Lower Member of the Longrnaxi Forma-tion is generally dominated by siliceous shale,but recently we found some siltstone-mudstone rhythm sections developed in the Lower Member of the Longmaxi Formation.The study of formation mechanism of siltstone-mudstone rhythmic sedimentary sections may provide new insights into the shale sedimentary environ-ment.Therefore,we studied the characteristics and formation mechanism of siltstone-mudstone rhythmic sedimentary sections in the Lower Member of the Long-maxi Formation in the Changning area based on core observation,thin section identification,major elements and trace elements analysis.The results show the following:1)Two siltstone-mudstone rhythmic sedimentary sections are characterized by frequent interbed between black or gray-black shale and light gray siltstone,abundant argillaceous laminas and silty laminas,with obvious lithological boundaries having developed.Horizontal laminas and rhythmic laminas are well-developed in the shale layer,while the wavy laminas are well-developed in the siltstone layer.2)The major compositional elements are SiO2,Al2O3 and CaO,followed by Fe_(2)O_(3),MgO,K_(2)O and Na_(2)O.3)Compared with the world average shale,these siltstone-mudstone rhythmic sedimentary sections are rich in Mo,U and Ba,but less in V,Co,Ni,Cu.Compared with the shale layer,the siltstone layer has lower contents of V,Co and Ni.4).The geochemical redox indices,Mo-U and CIA values suggest the formation of the siltstone-mudstone rhythmic sedimentary sections are related to influences from bottom currents in an oxic condition with a warm and humid paleoclimate. | Gaoxiang WANG Lei CHEN Yang YANG Cui JING Man CHEN Xiucheng TAN Xin CHEN Di CAO Zibo WEI Minglong LI Dong HUANG | 2021 | Frontiers of Earth Science2021,15,4: | 0 |

| 11 | Short-term normalization of ventricular repolarization by transcatheter ablation in a patient with suspected brugada syndrome显示文摘We report observations in a 30 year old male without structural heart disease who presented with recurrent nocturnal syncope and aborted sudden cardiac death. 12-lead ECG showed elevated ST in inferior leads and short coupled premature ventricular complexes (PVCs). Propafenone challenge suggested a diagnosis of an atypical Brugada syndrome. Two morphological types of PVGs and ventricular fibrillation (VF) were induced during propafenone challenge test. He underwent two ablation procedures in right ventricular inflow tract and left ventricular post-inferior septum region by pace-mapping, respectively. After ablation, VF could not be induced and the elevated ST segments normalized. Two subsequent propafenone challenge tests were also negative. Nonetheless, elevated ST segments and PVCs reappeared by one month follow-up. An implantable defibrillator was recommended, but the patient declined for financial reasons. Unfortunately, he suffered a sudden cardiac death at home 10 weeks post-ablation. These findings suggest that short-term normalization of ventricular repolarizatiion after ablation is possible in Brugada syndrome.
