CAF-induced placental growth factor facilitates neoangiogenesis in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘As a highly malignant tumor, hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. In most HCC patients, the development of HCC begins with hepatitis, which is followed by fibrosis and cirrhosis before progressing to HCC.Cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs),which are generally believed to be derived from activated hepatic stellate cells(HSCs),are highly involved in the development of HCC through the secretion of cytokines and angiogenic factors. The results of our study showed that a considerable number of CAFs highly expressed CD90 and were enriched in HCC tissues.Bioinformatics analysis of the transcriptome of HCC tissues revealed that placental growth factor(PIGF)is significantly correlated with CD90 expression. The isolated primary CAFs and activated HSCs overexpressed PIGF and CD90.In addition, the results of gene expression profiling interactive analysis based on The Cancer Genome Atlas showed that high levels of both PIGF and CD90 are correlated with tumor angiogenesis markers(CD31,CD34,and CD105)and predict poor HCC patient prognosis. In summary, our results suggest that CAFs can generate PIGF and may provide an effective target for CAFs-reguIated neoangiogenesis in HCC. | Zhongjian Liu Mingmei Chen Rongce Zhao Yuan Huang Fei Liu Bo Li Yang Qin | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,1: | 5
Mathematical modeling of fluid flow, heat transfer and inclusion transport in a four strand tundish显示文摘Mathematical simulation was used for trouble-shooting and optimization. By the mathematical simulation, fluid flow and heat transfer of molten-steel in a four-strand tundish of a billet caster under different conditions (bare tundish and tundish with flow control device) were analyzed. The results showed that (1) the tundish with flow control device (FCD) has an important effect on the fluid pattern and temperature distribution; (2) the unsteady solving method was used to model the inclusion motions at different time periods, and it showed that the FCD is advantageous to separate the nonmetallic inclusions. According to the simulation results, the main problem existing in the industry production was found, and some helpful measurements were executed. Consequently, the large nonmetallic inclusions were separated, and the content of total oxygen was reduced. The quality of steel was greatly improved. | Yufeng Wang Guanghua Wen Ping Tang Mingmei Zhu Yuanqing Chen Weizhao Song | 2007 | Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2007,14,1: | 4
Facile shape and size-controlled growth of uniform magnetite and hematite nanocrystals with tunable properties显示文摘Monodispersed magnetite Fe3O4 and hematite α-Fe2O3 nanocrystals have been grown in co-solvents of alcohol and water. Either the shape or the size of the nanocrystals could be easily controlled. Both the phases and nanostructures have been characterized by powder X-ray diffraction patterns and electron microscopy. The magnetic and catalytic properties of these products were investigated and compared with each other. The obtained results clearly demonstrate that these iron oxide nanocrystals are soft ferromagnetic at room temperature and α-Fe2O3 has a more effective catalytic property on the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate than Fe3O4. Based on the experimental data, it is proposed that the magnetic and catalytic properties of these nanocrystals are dependent not only on the size and shape, but also on the surface structure of the nanocrystals. The nanoplates with significant anisotropic nanostructure demonstrate a highly enhanced performance as compared to nanoparticles. | CHEN LiQiao LIU WeiPing CHEN JiaLin YANG XianFeng LIU Jia FU XiongHui WU MingMei | 2011 | Science China Chemistry2011,54,6: | 4
An Fe-N/S-C hybrid electrocatalyst derived from bimetal-organic framework for efficiently electrocatalyzing oxygen reduction reaction in acidic media显示文摘Heteroatoms doped Fe-N-C electrocatalysts have been widely acknowledged as one of the most promising candidates to replace Pt-based materials for electrocatalyzing oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).However, the complicated synthesis method and controversial catalytic mechanism represent a substantial impediment as of today.Herein,a very facile strategy to prepare Fe-N/S-C hybrid through pyrolyzing Zn and Fe bimetallic MOFs is rationally designed. The electrocatalytic ORR performance shows a volcanotype curve with the increment of added Fe content. The half-wave potential(E1/2) for ORR at optimized Fe-N/S-C-10%(10%=n(Fe)/(n(Fe)+n(Zn)),n(Fe) and n(Zn) represent the moles of Fe2+ and Zn2+ in the precursors, respectively) shifts significantly to the positive direction of 19.6 mV with respect to that of Pt/C in acidic media,as well as a high 4 e selectivity and methanol tolerance. After 10,000 potential cycles,E1/2 exhibits a small negative shift of-27.5 mV at Fe-N/S-C-10% compared favorably with Pt/C(~141.0 mV).This can be attributed to:(ⅰ) large specific surface area(849 m^(2)/g) and hierarchically porous structure are favorable for the rapid mass transfer and active sites exposure;(ⅱ) the embedded Fecontaining nanoparticles in porous carbon are difficult to be moved and further agglomerated during the electrochemical accelerated aging test, further improving its stability;(ⅲ) there exist small Fecontaining nanoparticles, uniformly doped N and S,abundant Fe-N as efficiently active sites. This work represents a breakthrough in the development of high-efficient non-precious-metal catalysts(NPMCs)to address the current Pt-based electrocatalysts challenges. | Shuqin Song Mingmei Wu Junwei Chen Zhuohua Mo Rui Chen Kun Wang Tongwen Yu | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,1: | 2

Microbe-derived non-necrotic glycoside hydrolase family 12 proteins act as immunogenic signatures triggering plant defenses显示文摘Plant pattern recognition receptors(PRRs)are sentinels at the cell surface sensing microbial invasion and activating innate immune responses.During infection, certain microbial apoplastic effectors can be recognized by plant PRRs,culminating in immune responses accompanied by cell death. However, the intricated relationships between the activation of immune responses and cell death are unclear. Here,we studied the glycoside hydrolase family12(GH12)protein,Ps109281,secreted by Phytophthora sojae into the plant apoplast during infection.Ps109281 exhibits xyloglucanase activity, and promotes P.sojae infection in a manner dependent on the enzyme activity.Ps109281 is recognized by the membranelocalized receptor-like protein RXEG1 and triggers immune responses in various plant species.Unlike other characterized GH12 members,Ps109281 fails to trigger cell death in plants. The loss of cell death induction activity is closely linked to a sequence polymorphism at the Nterminus. This sequence polymorphism does not affect the in planta interaction of Ps109281 with the recognition receptor RXEG1,indicating that cell death and immune response activation are determined using different regions of the GH12 proteins.Such GH12 protein also exists in other Phytophthora and fungal pathogens.Taken together, these results unravel the evolution of effector sequences underpinning different immune outputs. | Lan Wang Hanmei Liu Mingmei Zhang Yu Ye Lei Wang Jinyi Zhu Zhaodan Chen Xiaobo Zheng Yan Wang Yuanchao Wang | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,10: | 0
