| 1 | Turbine blade temperature calculation and life estimation-a sensitivity analysis显示文摘The overall operating cost of the modern gas turbines is greatly influenced by thedurability of hot section components operating at high temperatures.In turbine operatingconditions,some defects may occur which can decrease hot section life.In the present paper,methods used for calculating blade temperature and life are demonstrated and validated.Usingthese methods,a set of sensitivity analyses on the parameters affecting temperature and life ofa high pressure,high temperature turbine first stage blade is carried out.Investigateduncertainties are:(1)blade coating thickness,(2)coolant inlet pressure and temperature(asa result of secondary air system),and(3)gas turbine load variation.Results show thatincreasing thermal bamier coating thickness by 3 times,leads to rise in the blade life by 9times.In addition,considering inlet cooling temperature and pressure,deviation in temperaturehas greater effect on blade life.One of the interesting points that can be realized from theresults is that 300 hours operation at 70%load can be equal to one hour operation atbase load. | Majid Rezazadeh Reyhani Mohammad Alizadeh Alireza Fathi Hiwa Khaledid | 2013 | Propulsion and Power Research2013,2,2: | 9 |

| 3 | Effect of Surface Treatment and Metallic Coating on Corrosion Behavior and Biocompatibility of Surgical 316L Stainless Steel Implant显示文摘Surface engineering technology is a suitable method for coatings on the metal surfaces or performing surface modification treatment,which can improve corrosion resistance and biocompatibility of metals.In this research,corrosion behavior of Nb coating on H 2 SO 4 and HNO 3 treated AISI stainless steel 316L (SS) was evaluated.Nb coating was carried out using physical vapor deposition process on the SS.Characterization techniques including scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) technique were used to investigate the microstructure and morphology of the coated and treated SS.Electrochemical potentiodynamic tests were performed in two types of physiological solutions and compared with the pristine SS specimens.Cyclic polarization tests were performed to evaluate resistivity against pitting.Experimental results indicate that Nb coating and surface treatment of the SS had a positive effect on improvement of corrosion behavior.The decrease in corrosion current densities was significant for coated and treated specimens.The corrosion current density was much lower than the values obtained for pristine specimens. | Ali Parsapour Saied Nouri Khorasani Mohammad Hossein Fathi | 2012 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,2: | 2 |
| 4 | Literature review of the outcome of and methods used to improve transperineal repair of rectocele显示文摘BACKGROUND Rectocele is commonly seen in parous women and sometimes associated with symptoms of obstructed defecation syndrome(ODS).AIM To assess the current literature in regard to the outcome of the classical transperineal repair(TPR)of rectocele and its technical modifications.METHODS An organized literature search for studies that assessed the outcome of TPR of rectocele was performed.PubMed/Medline and Google Scholar were queried in the period of January 1991 through December 2020.The main outcome measures were improvement in ODS symptoms,improvement in sexual functions and continence,changes in manometric parameters,and quality of life.RESULTS After screening of 306 studies,24 articles were found eligible for inclusion to the review.Nine studies(301 patients)assessed the classical TPR of rectocele.The median rate of postoperative improvement in ODS symptoms was 72.7%(range,45.8%-83.3%)and reduction in rectocele size ranged from 41.4%-95.0%.Modifications of the classical repair entailed omission of levatorplasty,addition of implant,concomitant lateral internal sphincterotomy,changing the direction of plication of rectovaginal septum,and site-specific repair.CONCLUSION The transperineal repair of rectocele is associated with satisfactory,yet variable,improvement in ODS symptoms with parallel increase in quality-of-life score.Several modifications of the classical TPR were described.These modifications include omission of levatorplasty,insertion of implants,performing lateral sphincterotomy,changing the direction of classical plication,and site-specific repair.The indications for these modifications are not yet fully clear and need further prospective studies to help tailor the technique to rectocele patients. | Mohammad Fathy Ahmed Hossam Elfallal Sameh Hany Emile | 2021 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2021,13,9: | 2 |

| 16 | Spatial analysis of groundwater quality for drinking purpose in Sirjan Plain,Iran by fuzzy logic in GIS显示文摘At present,due to shortage of water resources,especially in arid and semiarid areas of the world such as Iran,exploitation of groundwater resources with suitable quality for drinking is of high importance.In this regard,contamination of groundwater resources to heavy metals,especially arsenic,is one of the most important hazards that threaten human health.The present study aims to develop an approach for presenting the groundwater quality of Sirjan city in Kerman Province,based on modern tools of spatial zoning in the GIS environment and a fuzzy approach of evaluating drinking water in accordance with the standards of world health organization(WHO).For this purpose,qualitative data related to 22 exploitation wells recorded during 2002 to 2017 were used.In addition,fuzzy aggregate maps were prepared in two scenarios by neglecting and considering arsenic presence in groundwater resources.The results showed a decrease in groundwater quality over time.More specifically,neglecting the presence of arsenic,in 2002,all drinking wells in the area were located in an excellent zone,while in 2017 a number of operation wells were located in the good and medium zone.Also,the final map,considering the presence of arsenic as a limiting factor of drinking water,indicated that parts of the southern regions of the plain would be the best place to dig wells for drinking water.Therefore,the use of new methods can contribute significantly to the usage of groundwater aquifers and provide a good view of the aquifer water quality. | Negar Fathi Mohammad Bagher Rahnama Mohammad Zounemat Kermani | 2020 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2020,8,1: | 1 |

| 19 | Fast-dissolving antioxidant nanofibers based on Spirulina protein concentrate and gelatin developed using needleless electrospinning显示文摘Spirulina is a microalga that is well-known for its high protein content and biological activities directly related to its antioxidant capacity.The objective of this study was to produce fast-dissolving antioxidant nanofibers based on Spirulina protein concentrate (SPC) and gelatin using needleless electrospinning technique.The effect of mixing ratios of SPC (10% w/w) and gelatin (20% w/w) on the viscosity,electrical conductivity and surface tension of electrospinning solutions as well as diameter and morphology of resulting nanofibers was investigated.Increasing the SPC level in the solution blends resulted in a decrease in apparent viscosity and electrical conductivity and an almost stable trend in surface tension (29.25–32.19 mN/m) that led to diminish of diameter of the nanofibers.Scanning electron microscopy images showed that SPC/gelatin ratio of 40:60 led to the production of uniform and bead-free nanofibers with a relatively smaller average diameter (208.7 ± 46.5 nm).Atomic force microscopy images indicated mesh-like,fibrillary,and bead-free structures.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy verified the formation of composite nanofibers and intermolecular interactions between both proteins.X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis showed higher amorphous structure and stability of produced SPC/gelatin nanofibers in comparison to pure materials which was favorable for formation of stable fast-dissolving fibers.Results of DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities showed that the antioxidant activity of composite nanofibers significantly improved with increasing SPC mixing ratio (p < 0.05).The dissolution test demonstrated that SPC/gelatin nanofibers can be rapidly dissolved in aqueous medium within 2 s.Finally,the results indicated that the electrospun SPC/gelatin nanofibers could be potentially used for nutraceutical delivery in food and packaging applications under high humidity. | Vahid Mosayebi Milad Fathi Mohammad Shahedi Nafiseh Soltanizadeh Zahra Emam-Djomeh | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,47,3: | 0 |
